This Walgreen took 2 days for a simple prescription and has not been able to fill it because they are busy. It's unacceptable

The customer service here sucks. They let a person who didn't have a prescription ready sit and block drive thru for 30 minutes. When you call, no one answers and I was on hold 25 minutes only to be hung up on. Several times, they've told me my insurance declined to pay because I "got the prescription elsewhere" when I didn't & I've called my health insurance and there was no problem. It was the pharmacy's error. read more

My mom spoke with these people 3 different times and they even text her letting her know the prescription was ready for pickup. I went to pick up the prescription only for the Pharmacist Farin K to cancel the order. Per Farin's words she doesn't feel comfortable releasing the prescription that was PLACED BY THE PATIENTS DOCTOR!!!! read more

This pharmacy is so unorganized, unprofessional and just overall terrible. I have no idea how they are still in business. First they told me my prescription would take 45 minutes, that was fine. I waited about an hour and a half prior to even heading over. Then I told them my insurance information and the pharmacy tech told me that it "wasn't valid" I don't have a "Vin" number and I never had an issue having that looked up. They refused to help me out saying there was nothing I could do. They wouldn't even try to help me figure it out with my insurance even though I told them my Member number. This place is a joke! Stay away unless you want to be treated like a common criminal and a low life. read more

This is for pharmacy department, I've going to Walgreens for my prescription for a few years, not once I have bad experience like this. I got a texted saying that my prescription ready to pick up. But when I came to pick it up, (drive through is closed), the pharm tech Veronica told me that they don't have that prescription. And I told her that's weird that I received confirmation that my medicine is ready for pickup, right away her attitude is, well I don't have it, you gotta wait. I didn't mind waiting but her tone and attitude shows me she has no customer service, I'm also in the medical field as a frontline worker, i know there's no way that how you speak to customer/patient. I'm sure she is competent of what she does, but I think she can freshen up on her customer service manner. read more

I'm sure it's a good business, but I do question the promotion of the "Red Nose Day" and no Walgreens has any of the noses to sell!! This store was my last to check after going to many others and being told the same thing. At this store (my last to visit) and after walking around looking and seeing lots of advertising for the promotion I had to finally find a clerk and asked about it and I was informed that they were not too sure how well the promotion would kick off - so each store only got a couple of boxes and they ran out immediately and they don't expect to get any more in before the actual day. Nothing about the store or staff - more the corporate level in poor planning. read more

The biggest shout out to the lovely Marisol in the photo department!!!! I had ordered a photo book for my grandparents who we sadly will not be able to see this year from my local Walgreens in north park. Unfortunately when I went to pick it up I was told the printer was down and I should order from a different Walgreens. When I put the order in to the Lemon Grove Walgreens I was told it was EXTREMELY busy and with so many orders it might not be doable within the timeframe I needed it in order to ship before Christmas. Im a bit confused by the low reviews for this place. I have been coming pretty regular since last year and my mom comes and picks up her (numerous) prescriptions here too. I am always greeted when I come in and all the employees that check me out at the counter have been nice. Maybe occasional distant but I totally understand how you can get a little burned out doing that job especially since the majority off the customers that come in are sick! Not really much to say about this location other than it's a Walgreens. Do my laundry close by so always come here to pick up a drink or any Necessities that I may have need of. Customer service not really the best attribute here, some times Associates don't even acknowledge your entrance especially if you're wandering and seem like you have questions. On the very much plus side they do keep the place clean which I can appreciate especially as other businesses close by do the opposite. Nothing special but well worth a visit and don't forget to sign up for your loyalty card. read more

I called today and ask if they had a certain cough syrup they answer by saying " don't know what that is, so we don't have it".. how can u not know what it is and just say we don't have it by not checking. Waited at the drive through pharmacy for over 10 minutes before I saw the pharmacy technician who then proceeded to tell me they don't have my prescription. I rechecked with my provide and they confirmed it was sent several hours ago. Thanks for wasting my time. Update: I have now had to come to the pharmacy 6 times in order to pick up my prescription. Ordered via the Walgreens app for store pickup. My order was ready in less than an hour. I received an email and text confirmation stating it was ready. I arrived at the store for in-store pickup. It was quick and easy. They also have a curbside option. read more

Called the automated service for refills on Thursday at 9am. I show up Sunday at 4PM (trying to give them plenty of time) to pick it up and the rude tech at the window with plenty of attitude tells me 1/3 of my meds are ready. "We're short staffed on the weekends. I don't know who told you they were ready but they aren't." Thursday and Friday are week days, what was your excuse then? I have issues every month with this. Wish I had one closer that I could switch to people these people are terrible. read more

I'm surprised by such low reviews. I've always found good parking here, I've always been greeted upon walking in, and I've always found what I was looking for. There are always employees stocking product on the shelves and available to help you find stuff or at least direct you where to go. No complaints. read more

This Walgreens pharmacy is a SCAM. Do NOT make the mistake of having your prescription sent here. They will have you on hold for 45 minutes then hang up on you. They NEVER answer the phone. I called all day 08/20 and 08/21 with no one answering. Awful customer service. read more

the only redeeming quality about this location is their drive thru rx pick up window -- their Rx customer service is nill -/ the rx clerks are this side of incompetent -- gawd forbid u have problem ! the pharmacists are smart and good problem solvers - not the RX clerks ( with 1 or 2 exceptions -- good luck with that ! they have a very low yahoo rating -- i should have taken note of that - time to change pharmacies! ps their phone tree has major issues ( crackling on the line and ill designed - and no one (ie asst mgr cares) Corporate needs to take a good look at this store's issues ! read more

The pharmacy staff is friendly and helpful. They do take an hour lunch that they close at ( at least the drive thru)so just a heads up. I can only remember maybe once dropping off a prescription and being able to wait for it since their wait times are long. The store itself is average. It's annoying purchasing cosmetics and going to the main counter and then being redirected to have to purchase it at the cosmetics counter. read more

My pregnant wife stood in line for over 30 minutes just to drop off her prescription. Other staff members constantly walked by and did not even attempt to help. Zero motivation to help. I stopped here because I needed something real quick but didn't find it. So I grabbed a drink for my daughter on my way out. No one was in line but the older Asian lady was showing another employee something on the computer where photo is. She was annoyed that I got in line because she had to stop what she was doing. She walked over to the register, rang me up & then when I used my EBT card she got upset & told me, "that's going to take a long time" as if I was going to change my form of payment. I said ok and continued (which overall only took me a minute at most to do the transaction). She sighed because within that minute, 2 people got in line so she yelled to the young man at the photo "Can you open up because she's using EBT & it's going to take forever!" as if she was trying to belittle me for using it. I have a full time job & pay my taxes, so for her to throw it out there like that and trying to embarrass me was ridiculous. I didn't say anything because I didn't want to cause a scene, plus she's old so I let it go but y'all should definitely add more training for her. The transaction like I mentioned only took a minute and she was happy with that, said "OMG it's your lucky day, that was fast!" Hope she's not a manager! read more

I came here for a FedEx package pickup. Service is friendly. I got a courtesy phone call letting me know that a package for me is ready to be picked up. While there the employee was thorough in checking my ID to make sure I am the recipient of the package. I'm glad they follow policy well. It was a quick service with no hassle and no doubts. I needed specific medication because I was having surgery. I went to several pharmacies and this one was the only one that had the medicine. The staff was so friendly and courteous. They called me to let me know my medicine was ready for pick up. They have a drive thru window for pharmacy bonus . I changed to this pharmacy permanently. read more

I use this Walgreens to pick up my FedEx. When I went to pick up my package today, there were two men, one behind the register the other working on a display. Neither one of them acknowledge my presence. I had to tell them I was there to pick up my package. My package was very large and heavy and I asked the man who got my package if it was heavy. He told me I could get a cart and take it to my car. I'm disappointed that he didn't offer to carry it out to my car for me. I shop there when I go in to pick up my packages. I felt like I was a bother. It just would've been nice to have somebody offer to help me. I worked in retail for years. Always making the customer feel comfortable and welcome in the store. I really like this Walgreens in Lemon Grove. It is rarely busy and I'm always in and out in 5 minutes or less. I think this even applies for the pharmacy too! I especially like that they have a drive-thru window for prescription drop-off/pick-up. This pharmacy is far superior to the CVS and Rite-Aid which is always more crowded with longer wait times! read more

I went into this store this morning to use there Photo center as it is near another errand I had to run and I'm very sorry I did. Around 7 AM I placed an order for prints of my wedding online to be picked up at this location. I was never once prompted or reminded about proof of copyright release. At 9 AM I received a confirmation email saying that my prints were ready to be picked up. I walked in the store at 10 AM and told the man at the counter that I was here to pick up prints, he asked me my name and I told him. He then proceeded, rather rudely, to tell me that I needed a copyright release in order to pick up my pictures. Of course I didn't have it on me as I never needed one when I printed pro pictures at Walgreens. When I asked why I was sent a confirmation email and was never called he informed me that they don't make phone calls to customer's until after 11, so as not to bother them. That single phone call would have saved me almost 25 minutes. Another man got involved and began to talk down to me and started with an attitude that was completely uncalled for. I will never go back. I'll take my business else where. The customer service was deplorable. read more

This store is creepy......I felt like I had a stalker on me upon entering the store. Their clerks are obviously instructed by management to greet every customer in an overzealous way. Then the clerk must give each customer a salutation of "Be Well".......each salutation has no heart in it and Its totally fake......anyone with any sincerity can see thru the b/s that Walgreens is trying to pull-off here. I was in soo much pain, I hated their pharmacy service, the last 3 times i needed my prescriptions there was always a problem. They able to solve it by just making some calls and they weren't able to do it. And they tell me certain time to pick up and is never ready. Had an appointment for my flu shot. Pharmacist was nice and professional. They had stock of the Mercury free vials which was great, however I am only rating a 3 because of the wait time. Waited almost 45 minutes to be seen considering I had made an appointment. Other than that, staff was professional. read more

I am sooooo glad I switched over to this pharmacy! Techs are knowledgeable and willing to help. I went through the drive-thru to pick up two medications transferred from rite aid and what do you know they were ready! The tech also presented the option of saving my debit card for future pickups so I wouldn't have to present the card! So far so good :) read more

I come back at 5:15 to the drive thru to pick up and I'm still waiting! WTF is so hard about reading a prescription and filling it? Horrible service. Last time I'm coming here. This is a terrible pharmacy. I ordered a prescription on a Friday that they said they would have to order but wouldn't have until the following Monday. Then, when I called on Monday, they told me I'd have to wait until Wednesday, the 23rd. I called on the 24th but they had given my prescription to SOMEONE ELSE!! I had CVS before and they would never have done this. This kind of treatment is practically malpractice. I really wish my insurance had never switched to Walgreens. read more

I am writing this review for the pharmacy only... I have not had any real experience with the store per se. I just got off of a call to the pharmacy with a 15 minute hold time and still never got through. And this is not the first time. Long wait times in line (one time there were two people ahead of me and it took over 15 minutes before I was served) and long hold times on the phone. I needed a special order medicine at one point... they said they could have it in two weeks. I checked with CVS across the street... 3 days to get the same medicine. I started using Walgreens instead of CVS because of some insurance savings... but I am switching back to CVS and paying the extra cost. It is just not worth it to try to deal with this understaffed and poorly managed pharmacy. read more
