Delicious smelling light facial oil, cedar sweater sachet, hair detangler! Amazing!

You might not be aware of it yet, but you need to visit this place! Bring your own containers, or if you forget them there's a box with free containers people have donated, then you can fill them with amazing high-quality products for hair, skin and home! I love everything about this shop and I'm so glad it's convenient, right smack dab in the middle of Kensington Village, in the Clem's plaza. (btw, they're open during the upstairs building construction!) Apart from the store being a fantastic source to reduce waste and save money on what we need to buy anyway, the owners (Kris & Katrina) are genuinely awesome humans. We all want to support small businesses like this, right? I sure do.

This is my favorite discovery in the last decade. This is a place where you can eliminate A LOT of your single-use plastics, and refill your containers you bring with SO many things like castile soap, lotions, body wash, laundry detergent, shampoos, tooth paste, mouth wash, ETC ETC! I want to tell everyone that I know about this plan, and I plan to! Help save the Earth. THANK YOU Earthwell refill for this innovative, feel-good-when-you-leave opportunity!

I've been sitting on this review for awhile. Thinking about what to say and how to balance my experience and review it accordingly. I was SO excited to find this refill station, because it's so important to minimize waste, especially plastics that proliferate almost everything we buy. So maybe you're wondering what my issue is? It's so, so so so expensive. I'm all for sustainability, trying to work towards it more every day. But at these prices it isn't sustainable for me to come back here again, which is unfortunate, because I would come back every few weeks if it was. A half a large container of laundry Detergent, a 16oz hand soap, 16oz body wash and another 16oz dish soap, cost $68.00. Yes. SIXTY EIGHT DOLLARS. I should have paid more attention to the website, for some reason I thought they also offered refills for basic namebrand household items like "dawn" or "tide" for those of us not yet 100% switched over to this way of living. Instead it's all natural items and brands. Again, I'm all for it... but for people to be on board and be willing to make these adjustments, the prices can't be so high. Maybe if I was only paying one person vs a family, it would be more worth it for me personally. See you again once I make it big okay $

I love this little store! I ordered some glass bottles on Etsy before coming here, but didn't realize that they had empty bottles people have donated to use, so you don't have to come in with your own bottles if you don't have any! The girl working was very helpful, pouring the solutions I needed. They had a lot of variety and I'm glad this place is so close to me! I'm surprised there aren't more stores in San Diego like this, but I'm glad you guys are open to help do our part in being more eco-friendly!

I just discovered this place and I am so thrilled there's a place where I can try natural products with minimal commitment (almost all items are sold by the ounce), the prices are awesome, I can refill my old containers (or buy a refillable bottle/jar there), there are even some free donated containers you can use, the service was exceptional, and there's free parking. They also sell reusable bamboo utencils for lunch, bamboo straws, straw brushes, lunch containers, pet shampoo bars, human shampoo bars, bamboo toothbrushes, floss, shavers.... you know what, just check it out for yourself! I added a few photos so you can see some of their products and great prices.

The face station, all natural products solely for your face (and reef-safe sunscreen!)

Earthwell Refill is the ONLY natural product refill center in San Diego and I am soooo glad they exist! Kris and Katrina know something about everything, and have a natural alternative to any product you could think of. The quality is one thing but the selection is beyond amazing. Earthwell is open daily and it's always best to stop in midweek/mid afternoon if you want to avoid crowds. There is only one scale for weighing and filling, so be kind and be patient. Not much is better than having all natural products and being able to support a small, family business. You can get lotions, detergent, shampoos, and plenty more here at Earthwell. Even if you're unfamiliar with zero waste living, you absolutely have to check this place out!

Volumizing shampoo (32 oz) Restorative conditioner (32 oz) Bulgarian lavender body lotion

I have been wanting to make it here for months now and I'm so happy I finally did! From my research, this is one of the only eco friendly grocery stores in the San Diego area. I went on a Sunday afternoon and I was surprised by how small the shop was, but despite its modest look I was so impressed by the variety of products available! They had everything from shower gel to shampoo and conditioner, menstrual cups and toothpaste tabs and dish soap, everything you could ever need! I got 32 ounces of the volumizing shampoo and 32 ounces of the restorative conditioner. I also got a small container of the Bulgarian lavender body lotion. I paid $63 total which seems reasonable to me, given the fact that the shampoo and conditioner will likely last me at least 5-6 months and also the products are all natural and nontoxic! It felt great shopping here and the two women working at the time were so sweet. They were doing a great job managing so many customers and were so nice, patient, and eager to help. I will definitely be back whenever I need any new products for myself or my house, no need to go to target or Walmart anymore to buy cleaning supplies and self care products in plastic jars. Brava Earthwell Refill!!

I then went back to do a little holiday shopping, and have been back many times since. I am also happy that the shop continues to host a spirt stop on the stroll. Kiko + Sven is a tiny shop with a lot of cute items. Some appear handmade and other are just cute or unique. They probably have more jewelry than anything. It is mostly dainty gold and silver, some with long beads and some made from clay. They have a back wall that is full of greeting cards, and a section of toddler and baby items. There are usually quite a few candles and soaps, and a small amount of cocktail/cooking supplies. All of it calls out to me... and makes me want to spend money. They also have a rack of clothing in the shop, and usually a sale rack outside. I have bought a couple of tops and a cute shawl there in the past, but since the selection is so small, I often don't find any clothing that either is my size or style. I think it is a great shop to browse and find something unecspected. As it is very small, the times I went looking for something more specific for gifts, it has been a bit hit or miss. Their stock varies over time and you may or may not luck out. All in all, if you are shopping or eating on Adams, go check it out. It's really fun to browse and you may find something you like. Also, they will make you an account so you can put your phone number in for discounts without any coupons or solicitaitons.

They regularly get bread deliveries from local bakers- I overheard multiple people stopping by asking if they had any fresh bread. They also host super interesting workshops that range from arts and crafts to cooking and dancing.
