Beautiful plant from en Concordia... Slightly steep at $15.00 but really healthy
Amy M.

Walked in on a Sunday afternoon... What a beautiful selection of plants and gifts. Seriously the sickest plant in there was nicer than the best plant at most nurseries. It's clear they take great care to keep their plants happy and their selection well curated. The family was also incredibly nice and looked up info on our plant selection to make sure it wasn't toxic to our hungry cat and human kids. It was hard not to walk out with more things... Will definitely be back!

Beautiful addition to Point Loma! You will find heirloom seeds, garden tools, soil, succulents (great selection outdoors!), books. Big selection for the tea lover! Natural beauty products, kitchen ware etc. I also enjoyed the amazing selection of children's gifts(books, toys, puzzles). The owner is knowledgeable, genuine and helpful. Take time and look for the store, you will not be disappointed.

Our instructor, Aurora, did a quick demo and then we were left to create our pieces. We had 3 balls of clay (give or take a half pound each ball) to work with and you get one free piece firing included with the class, and additional pieces to fire are $10 each. It's pretty autonomous but if you need help the instructor is there to assist you. After you create your pieces, you pick a glaze and then clean up the work station. The class is 90 minutes and it goes by quick, time flies when you're having fun!! ---- Overall: had a fantastic time creating pieces that will hopefully be functional ware, a great date idea, I can't wait to be back and try out their open studio times

Our class was on a really nice day, and for a super reasonable price, we got 1.5 hours on the wheel, which felt like the perfect amount of time. The wheel throwing class is either indoors (behind the plant shop) or in the back (half exposed garage). We were in the back and it was a good amount of space for our group of 4 people. There were more couples next to us as well. Also, I loved that they allow you to bring outside drinks to enjoy while creating, making it a fun and relaxed experience. Our instructor was great--attentive when needed but also gave space to explore at your own pace. This wasn't our friend time on the wheel, but we were with friends who were new to wheel-throwing, so he assisted when needed. I can't wait to see our finished ceramic pieces! Whether you're a plant lover, an aspiring ceramicist, or just looking for a unique experience, Botanica is definitely worth checking out. After your session, it's a good excuse to explore the streets of OB - especially on a very sunny day. I'll definitely come back another time.

Garden coffee knocking it out of the park again! This place never disappoint, from the pastries to…read morethe drinks, it is always amazing. You can definitely taste the quality and the care they put into picking their menu items. The banana flavored coffee trend has been huge lately and I saw that garden coffee had added "Top Banana" to their menu. You know I had to try it and it was great. The banana flavor is concentrated into to the banana cold foam top, and it tastes like they blended milk with banana, it was so refreshing. It did not have an artificial flavor at all. I also wanted a decaf version of the top banana so instead of cold brew they made it into a latte form for me so I could have it decaf. The baristas are always the sweetest and so friendly. On top of all of that, the space is so cozy. It is located under a tree, so plenty of shade and the owner has many plants around (some for sale too!) and makes the space so green. This is a partially covered outdoor area, so definitely bring a jacket because it gets cold in the shade. There is plenty of seating and tables available, but it fills up as the day goes on. For people looking to study at a coffee shop, there are limited outlets here. They also have a small free library here and game to play. I love that this feels like a place where people can gather. Overall, I love this place, and everyone should check it out at least once!

My favorite little hidden coffee shop in San Diego…read more I love this place! It has all my favorite things: good coffee, plants, books, art, character, a homey feel, and even a tiny thrift shop next door. Tucked away in Old Town, this spot is absolutely worth a visit. Follow them on social media to catch the cool events and live music they host. There's plenty of seating, and the whole shop is outdoors with a cozy backyard‑patio vibe. The coffee is great, and I love trying their seasonal drinks. They have a little library I always appreciate, plus plants and cute merch for sale. Along with coffee, they serve tea and pastries.

My review is based solely on their body care item, specifically their whipped body butter…read more I came here because I wanted to look at their body care items. They have a really good variety of body care items. I was interested in getting their whipped body frosting, and was excited to see that some of them were being discounted because they were getting a different packaging. The first red flag should have been when I was trying to look at the oz of the jar and could not find it (I just looked at their website, and the amount is not listed there either). However, since it was on sale, I purchased some anyways. When I started using the product I realized that the jar is misleading because it looked like there was a decent amount of product, but the packaging itself is thick, you are not getting as much product as you think. If you were to use it daily on your whole body once a day, you will maybe get about 2.5 weeks use out of one jar. If it was not on sale, this would not be a good value to product ratio. At $17 a jar, if you were to use a jar up within 2 weeks, that comes out to $34 a month.

Adorable & Memorable Date Spot!…read more While visiting Old Town, my boyfriend took me to Toby's Candle & Soap Shop and it ended up being one of the cutest memories of our trip! I'm so glad he brought me here, but I sure wish I had taken more photos because the inside is so beautiful and peaceful. We got to dip our own candles in different color wax (so fun!) and picked up some of the best-smelling incense I've ever found -- and everything was super affordable! Amazing service, awesome prices, and the vibes were unmatched. Honestly can't wait to come back the next time I'm in San Diego!
