$Sale$ is the Magic Word. $1-$2 sanitizers on sale now! I remember when bath & body used to be $4.95 per bottle. Now it's $17+. This location is smaller than most. If there is a product that you want to purchase you can order it and have it mailed to you at no charge or you can pick it up at any B&BW. But today (7/19/26) is the $1-$2 hand sanitizer sale and there are plentiful choices from sweet to masculine scents. As a frequent gym person, these sanitizers are perfect for cleaning in between gym folk. Yet, these don't kill viruses but are effective for germ & and funk elimination with 70% alcohol. And the extra perk is the smell good scents. Tip 1. If you are a B&BW member check your rewards. I have let several go because of scatter brain but you can get your free full size $17.95 value and purchase is not required. Tip 2. B&BW have frequent one day sales for full size products at $5.95. This is only generally publicized through email. And generally only last 24 hours. So basically if you're scrolling during one of your boring meetings and you see a bath and body works email promo pop up, check to see what it's offering. Tip 3. The hand soaps are more than perfect for traveling and have a built in lock for packing to avoid waste. Tip 4. Some fragrances may not be available in the store but are available for online purchase only. And you'll receive the package in less than a week. "Smelling good is the first sign of love." read more

I've been shopping at this location for years and always had a positive experience. Today however, i gathered all my unused candles and wallflowers to even exchange them for scents me and my daughter actually enjoy. Lara did my return. She instantly seemed irritated, refused half my items and accused me of abusing the return policy. When she scanned my sealed and unused wallflowers, she started manually changing the price to a lower amount than what they had scanned. I ended up keeping them to address this issue with the company. My experience was humiliating, and as a long time customer it made me think twice about where I'll be spending my money next time. The products I was trying to exchange were purchased by me with my own money and reflected in my rewards account. The way Lara treated me, especially as a leadership figure in the store, was uncalled for and unprofessional. Some retraining might be required. I will definitely reach out to corporate. In the end, affiliate handing me my twenty something dollars gift card, she then said a sarcastic "have a blessed day ". read more

I'm frustrated and a bit confused ? I'm buying a GLASS candle holder . And you can't give it to me in the originally packaging box ? If i ordered online and it got shipped to me it would literally come in a box ? But you can't even leave it in the styrofoam or box ? Weird asf. Not coming to this location again. Nobody in there seemed like they knew what they were doing. read more

First: the staff at this store is AMAZING! Laura was helpful & cool in helping me shop for a gift for my gf. I dont know anything about this stuff and she made it easy. The previous review with the woman returning old stuff... uhhhh, you're returning OLD stuff. I asked about returns and exchanges for the gift. Return policy is straightforward. Its your bad for returning old stuff. Id be embarrassed!! Maybe read the policy and dont pick on the employees who are just following it. Thanks grossmont and Laura for your help. Blow up the damn store at this point since it's so useless. And yes I'm mad idgaf. read more

I like the hand sanitizers they sell here, they're perfect for a purse or backpack. I also regularly buy their body sugar scrubs, they foam up and work well as an exfoliator. This is also a good place to pickup gift cards. I try to limit my time in here as the smell in here is overwhelming and tends to trigger a migraine fairly quick. It's not the stores fault though. The service here has always been good. I'm always greeted right away, and they always check on you consistently. Everyone seems cheerful and friendly. My son likes coming in here more than I do to be honest, probably because I have a sensitivity to the scents. I do avoid coming here when they have their twice yearly sale though because people seem to be a little crazy around that time, just an FYI. When you walk into a store and they're blasting Britney Spears' "drive me crazy", you know it's going to be a great shopping experience, and this store did not disappoint! I don't fit the look of what you would expect a Bath & body works customer to look like, but the ladies working here don't hold it against me. Every time I come here, They are always available to help if I have questions and provide excellent customer service. They in fact introduced me to their men's body wash and I will never buy store bought men's wash again! One bottle of their body wash seriously lasts two months even with daily use. This Grossmont center Bath and Body will not honor the sales that the customers get emailed with- 15.00 candles advertised (does not state online only). The staff there stated they are not selling the candles for 15.00 even after I showed her the email I received. She shrugged her shoulders and stated there's nothing she will do. We were in the area and I spotted this store and just wanted to see what they had. I am sad to see that two of my favorite scents have been discontinued (Black Berry Vanilla and Carried Away). I have found that their online store has Carried Away, but limited items. I liked this store because it was clean, organized and stocked full of different scents. The ladies that were working here were really nice and very helpful. I didn't end up getting anything, but will go back if I need to stock up on some bath items. I love their hand soaps and enjoy going in when they have a big sale for said bath soaps. read more

Fantastic customer service last night by both staff. Couldn't find the same selection as online but they both tried really hard to make me happy with what was available. And, they even said "sorry" for not having my items on hand... what a miracle in this day & age-with young ladies. Somebody has training on point here, unlike the Carmel Valley store. They listened, apologized, and looked for a solution-all while being respectful and not pushy. read more

We came here on a Saturday evening for a very specific purchase. We don't shop here too often but we are always happy when we do. Adam loves gingerbread soap so we always make a trip around Christmas for fun scented soaps. Adam's hands are always so clean during the holiday season so he can constantly have that gingerbread smell. Their soaps so smell great and make you feel clean as well. This trip I also opted to get the scentportables to place in our cars. There are 2 different holders, one for the visor and one for the air vent. Adam got the air vent scent holder and I got the one for the visor. They come in different decorative ways so you can jazz up your car. Right now being that it is Christmas, they are all holiday themed but I plan to go back in the spring to get something cute to decorate my car with. Adam got vanilla for his car. I got tis the season, apple cinnamon, and a springy smell. I have the apple cinnamon in my car right now and it smells soooo good. Anyone who gets in my car compliments to amazing smell. They also seem to last a good amount of time which is great. This location is convenient being in Grossmont plaza. The staff was all friendly and very helpful. They pointed us right to the gingerbread soap - they knew Adam was a man on a mission! Overall, we are happy with everything we have and are happy every time we come here! read more

The ladies were nice and helpful and I got two lotions for 7 bucks each! The summer sale is great!

just wanted to let you know I love your line of candles I have purchased at least 150 candles in the past year. I call La Mesa Bath Body Works store and tell then it's the big girl Julie that buys all the candles and they immediately know who I am and if requested they will put things to the side to assist and make sure then I'm taking care of. The phone number for the La Mesa branch 619- 466-4780. I go in at least twice a week see what is coming up I also purchased tons of the body cream the candle holders other Bath & Body Works products. Most of the time I've misplaced my coupons or I can't afford to buy something I like you have a great team at the store because they always work with me to make sure I'm taken care of. Especially call they have all for the same things for me for the end of day so I can come in and pick them up. Half the time I feel like I'm working there because I recommend items that may be of interest to the other customers hahaha. Either way I think the La Mesa store needs to be commended on their top-notch customer service and right when you walk in the door there's somebody there to assist you with your name you got a great group of girls over there I'm horrible with names but I'm good at faces. I remember Joan because she's the one that worked with the most. I actually I didn't want to leave anybody out so I drove down to the store and the other girls Tara, Linda and Tori, along with the rest of the team! Usually my experiences at Bath & Body Works is pleasant but not noteworthy. I really like this location I come in occasionally just to see what's up. Usually I only buy the Hot Cocoa candle which is seasonal. However, summer is approaching and I was finally willing to budge (after two years) to purchase a new scent. BUT Tara went above and beyond and hunted down one of the few remaining Hot Cocoa Candles. She is a complete doll. Thank you so much for feeding my addiction.
