Boxing Day Review! Listen, we all love LUSH. We love them even more when they're 50% off. In previous years, I've always managed to get in line just a tad later than everyone else. After figuring out that one lady showed up at 3am and camped out, I enticed my daughter with Lush products and told her to come with me. If you've never been at a mall at 3am, it's a trip. Mall security checked up on us, thinking we were homeless and up to no good. It took some convincing, but I showed them proof that a sale was happening. They literally had no idea. One security guard had a power trip by redirecting/moving our line to several areas. Super weirdo, but this review isn't about her. We were also privileged enough to watch the mall "cleaners" do their thing by essentially ignoring us and blowing us down with a leaf blower and then spraying water at us with the floor cleaner. It was a genuine treat and at 4am.. you realize that no one really cares about a single thing. So that was a treat. Being the first in line, in a line of about 100+ was thrilling. My daughter and I had created a procurement plan and talked about methods of retrieval. We discussed who would get what and where each of us would navigate towards. Then we watched in horror as the store team members rearranged everything and we had about 10min to recover our plans. But we were first in line, so honestly.... We had a leg up on most. Upon opening, we dashed inside to our respective destinations... grabbing the items we'd sought after when arriving. Then the chaos ensued. People were EVERYWHERE. It was overwhelming but it was thrilling. We probably grabbed a little too much but Boxing Day is the day to restock on lush. We were in and out in about 12min and I'll never be more thankful for store team members who had the patience to deal with such a cluster of people. Each member was super helpful and while I assume they were overwhelmed.. they were all so super friendly and helpful. The store was super clean and well prepared for the craziness. I really appreciate every lush team member who had to work the day after Christmas and provided us an easy experience. While I spent wayyyy over my budget... my daughter and I walked out happy and that's all that really matters. One thing I didn't think about: how delirious Id be after such an experience and a 4 hour "nap". But totally worth it. read more

I believe that both color and fragrance give Lush this magical ambiance! The layout of the products is perfect. The employees are very friendly and very enthusiastic about their products. They were there to introduce you to different products and answer some questions. They told us that they use natural ingredients and they don't use animal for experiments which is great!! I bought face mask to try first. My daughter and I used it already . Our faces felt fresh, moisturized and hydrated. I felt that some products were a little pricey, for example they have a scented soap bar for $17, but the scent was phenomenal So it depends on your budget. First time, I've ever had a negative experience going to Lush (11NOV2024). Every major holiday I go to this specific store and get products for my family members and have had wonderful experiences. This time was more tragic. My family lost their mother in law and the daughters and grandkids were struggling a bit. So, I went to Lush to get some bathbombs, since they love those products. I called the store ahead of time since I wanted to make sure they were still open when I arrived at 8:45. Person I spoke to give one to two-word answers. Fine, I thought maybe they are busy. Then after arriving at the store, I see the one worker walking towards the cash register and stand there after I wash my hands (nobody else is in the store or greets me at the wall where I'm shopping). I then proceed to pick out 6 bath bombs for the relatives who lost their mom and grandmother. I also tried to find handkerchiefs to wrap them in made by local artists. But I received no answer when I asked about which were made by local artists. Two other women came out of the backroom, looked at me, but no acknowledgment. I got rung up, no smile, no help, just transcational. Not sure why I need to go into a Lush store anymore if that is the type of serviceI I can expect to receive. I can just buy online and skip this indifferent behavior. I certainly don't want to shop at that location for Christmas. Very disappointing. read more

In Fashion Valley there's a real gem of a natural fresh product for hair and skin. I had no idea that these were freshly made all the way from Canada to us a company that began in 1996 and now has hundreds of shops all over North america. What is really interesting is that there is a real person behind every fresh batch to potting and labeling and some of them even have faces of the person on it no fossil fuels or black lead organizations are a part of it. There are no animal products and they protect human rights and Grassroots groups. They also have what is called charity pot that creates positive changes and donates 100% of their income to it. You'll see in the photos that I have posted it's such a lively colorful place. I had the honor of meeting Alexa who was so knowledgeable and answered so many of my questions regarding the products that are there. If you want to go into a shop and get answers for a change without somebody rolling their eyeballs back into their head LOL this is it it smells delicious in there and I look forward to going back. Oh, one of the really nice things is they will give you a sample of something that you are considering. Btw.. there are no prices on the majority of products in there and they are small. Came in here with one thing in mind to buy and immediately gets hit with her passive aggressive questions and tone. Chose to ignore her comments that she said to us but by the end of it when we were checking out her tone and body language was completely negative. didn't help us one bit, assumed we were going to steal or something and WAS SO RUDE AND PASSIVE. I can't believe I've lived 31 years without having visited this magical place, where the employees make you feel like you're at a spa and all of the products are vegetarian/vegan, not tested on animals, and made from good, wholesome ingredients! A friend recommended the beard & face wash for my boyfriend (who currently uses his axe body wash for his face... no bueno) and when I popped in to pick it up, I was transfixed by all the pretty colors and smells. I ended up getting the full treatment, and they can make samples for pretty much anything in the store which is amazing. I ended up with my samples and also a new face wash that I've been loving. I've been going to lush for years and the one day I go in, my bf and I we're being helped by a very nice worker with skincare products and she offered us 2 samples to go home with. After that, I proceeded to get a brown paper bag to put my samples in so that they wouldn't accidentally spill (I know in the past lush put the samples in a bag so I didn't think nothing of it) and placed them in my other store shopping bag only for Another worker to stop me while we were leaving the store and asked if I wanted to purchase the oils in my bag that she "saw" me took in the store. I was in shock to be falsely accused of stealing and for her to assume it was a specific product she "saw" me steal. I showed her that the only items in the brown bag was just samples I received from a different worker, she apologized and we left. After we left, I felt this in uncomfortable feeling of disrespect that I proceeded to call the store to get the name of the woman that stopped me. I've worked in retail before so there is a way to speak to customers if the workers have a feeling of someone stealing and there was a way with words. I found out it was the co-manager of the Fashion Valley store but the way she approached me and stopped me and already assumed I had products in my bag felt like I was being targeted with my race(again this is how she made me feel). I think they need to rethink about their process when it comes to their customers who are suspected of stealing, there's other ways of approach. Anyways if you ever feel like you've been disrespected in a store or falsely accused, please speak up. :) I'm very disappointed with the customer service I've experienced today but in the future I'll consider coming to another lush store instead. read more

Each staff member has listened to my needs and have met me with suggestions and staff testimonials. LUSH does a great job of providing samples for you to take home and try if you're struggling between which of their amazing products you want to try first! The products- you can look up their products online or go into store if you want to speak to someone or to physically see the products. Due to Covid restrictions in CA, you cannot open any containers, but you can still get samples if needed. I love their fragrances and the efficacy of their products. Their shampoos and conditioners have helped my itchy scalp, softened my over processed locks, and smoothed out any hint of frizziness. PROS: + Very helpful people in the store + Vegan and cruelty free products CONS: - The store is WAY too small for how many people go there - Workers can be a little pushy for you to buy products I love lush but this isn't the best location because it is way too small! I used to work in retail and since they don't work on commission I can tell the management really stresses on trying to help their customers.
