Worst pharmacy I've ever been to. The girl working the drive through is the rudest person I've ever met. Not sure if she realizes what her job is, but people are here picking up prescriptions.. Usually because they are sick and don't need their attitude. You are suppose to be helping me.. Not giving me a hard time. They were out of what I needed and told me to go somewhere else and have them call. I went to target and they called and put them on hold for over 40 minutes before they could get the prescription transferred over, and then they only transfer what they were out of, so I was forced to go back and get them other prescription there and they still didn't have that filled. So now it's been over 3 hours since I left the doctor and I'm still sitting here waiting for my prescription. Seriously the worst pharmacy ever, and I will never be back. read more

I have been going to this Walgreens since 2012 - the idea of 24 hour "convenience" is what got me. Then, about a month ago, I realized this was the slowest most inconvenient pharmacy I've ever been to. Nothing is ever in stock. They are always SLOW, which is understandable when it's busy but not when it's 2am and there's no one else in line. Sometimes the staff is just plain rude. The poor girl asked for help over the intercom and got nothing. All I have to do is drop off a prescription and they have the drop off window closed. I've been waiting for 15mins already and likely have 15 more to go. The staff is nice, but this is the most poorly run pharmacy I've ever used. Worst service ever getting a prescription filled here. Called yesterday and was told they had to get a technician to process it and would call me back. No call. Today I speak with someone who says they got it to go through and it will be ready in an hour. I show up to pick it up and am told they were out of stock so they transferred it to a store in Round Rock! One that isn't open late or on holidays. So can't get it until Tuesday now and have to drive to RR to get it, ugh. Not to mention, no one bothered to call and let me know this minor detail. The pharmacist just shrugged at me and the manager on duty, Angelina, did the same, saying she didn't know anything about the pharmacy. No offer of any help or a fix or to say she'd even check on why it happened. Had pretty below average experiences here before, but this one takes the cake! read more

Worst Pharmacy Ever. Just left without my family's prescriptions for the second time in three weeks. During my most recent visit, the rude pharmacy tech insisted that I had a secret insurance. Not only did she refuse to accept the insurance card I provided her with, but she let me know that it was my fault she couldn't sell me my meds. I only have one insurance, I'm five months pregnant, and the medicine is to prevent pre-term labor. A couple weeks earlier, a different pharmacy tech refused to sell me the medicine for my 15 month old. She told me it was Walgreens policy that he pick up his own medicine. Even after an hour of explaining to her that he is a baby, a sick baby, she said that it's a requirement. Needless to say, my family will not be using this pharmacy any longer. read more

Our dog had to go to the emergency vet and was diagnosed with sudden glaucoma. The vet prescribed three eye drops which we went to Walgreens to pick up. Sara was very helpful in getting our order expedited so our puppy could be treated quickly. Warmed my heart that she understood the urgency to help save our dog's vision. read more

I started using this Walgreens to fill my prescriptions because it seemed like the one at McNeil/183 was always out of the stuff I needed. But while the Duval/183 location typically has what I need when I need it, they also typically have incompetent boobs working behind the counter. Problem 1: In the last year, I've changed insurance companies four times. I realize this could be confusing, but I try to make it as easy for the folks at Walgreens as I can. Whenever I'm using a new insurance card, I go in person to refill my script so I can give the counter person my new insurance card, and I verbally tell the person that I have new insurance. And I watch as this person types various things into the computer. Yet somehow, when I go to pick up my script, I'm told, "Your insurance has expired." Sigh. So I have to get out my new insurance card *again* and watch the fool type the info into the computer *again*, because the first fool apparently didn't do it, at least not correctly. And the people in line behind me get pissed because they have to wait longer, which I totally understand, but this is why I tried to avoid this inconvenience by coming in person with my new insurance card earlier. So this exact situation happened four separate times within the last year. Problem 2: A couple of months ago I used the drive-thru to pick up some insulin. What I ended up getting was my birth control (that I didn't order). Okay, well, I did need that refill soon enough, so I'll keep it, but where's my insulin? So the kid finally sends the insulin through the drive-thru delivery machine, and I start driving home. But then I get this funny feeling, so I open the bag as I'm driving, only to discover the guy had given me the wrong kind of insulin. So I had to turn around and go back and go inside (in my pajamas and slippers) to get the correct insulin. The positive thing was that since it was an obvious inconvenience, the pharmacist gave me my insulin for free. I didn't ask for that, so props to her for that. But still, tell your employees to get their shit together, or at least hire some beings who aren't of the near-brainless bovine species. Problem 3: Today I went to get a refill, and my insurance company had sent me a new card with a new group number on it. So, like I referred to in Problem 1, I went in person to fill this one, and I presented my insurance card, telling the counter person that the group number has changed. A couple of hours ago I went to the drive-thru, and guess what I heard? "Your insurance is no longer valid." It was no big deal to get it worked out, but I simply don't understand why I constantly have these problems here. I mean, I don't know what these high-school fops are smoking when they get behind the pharmacy counter ("medical" marijuana?), but they need to put it down and do their jobs. If they can't do their jobs, then fire them and hire me. I'm out of work, and I guaran-farking-tee I can do the job better than those other people. End of rant. read more

In a word. Disaster. Another one word. Avoid. I work near by so having a 24 hr Walgreens seemed like a good spot to park my allergy prescriptions. Never again. First, the parking lot is filthy. Trash everywhere, always*, and enjoy dodging the other angry patrons** cars as you attempt to enter and leave this place. The Pharmacy is understaffed, and the staff is always busy shuffling paper or staring at an lcd screen. Oblivious to the line snaking past several aisles. The Walgreens staff even shakes their head at the Rx mess, but are powerless to help or check you at the beauty counter. Now, for the service. They have accused me of Doctor shopping for allergy meds (Who does that?), because they called the wrong practice for my refill. My fault somehow. They have overcharged me twice and God knows how many other times I didn't catch it or care for wont of leaving a HELL HOLE. The attending Pharmacist cares only to scan the barcode around his neck to get you, the customer, out of his face as fast as possible. Better watch them close, and make sure you get the right meds is my best advice. I can say, without question. I have never, NEVER, had a good experience here. It's not possible. Best case scenario here: Giant Pain in the Ass. * I always come across dental pics here in the parking lot. Among all the other trash and litter. I'm told that it's Meth or somehow related to other drugs. ** If you attempt to go here for an Rx, don't shower for a week, wear sweat pants, a shirt with holes in it, and forget to comb your hair as not to stick out. ETA: Last time I was there, a man in the drive thru was screaming over the mic for all to hear "I only need my Hydrocodone and Ambien now! The other shit can wait!" Classy Pharmacy. Classy Staff. This is gonna be a long one, guys. I ordered 2 prescriptions from here, but I got busy and didn't pick them up. I reordered multiple times and each time, I kept being told my prescriptions weren't ready and to call for details. I finally called them and they said my prescriptions had already been picked up. I told them I hadn't picked them up, so the lady told me she'd have the manager look up the transaction and call me back. I got a call back later that day saying I had picked up my prescriptions on 9/10. I thought I was crazy because I couldn't remember picking them up at all. I told them I guess I forgot where I put the prescription bag and I would have to find it. I searched the apartment, my car, my boyfriend's car, all to no avail. My boyfriend suggested checking my credit card statements, so I did. Interestingly enough, my last Walgreen's transaction was on 8/25 with my debit card. I called the store again to tell them that I had no record on any of my credit cards for a transaction with Walgreens on 9/10. I spoke with the manager and he argued with me that if I hadn't picked up them up on the 10th, then I would have run out my prescriptions a long time ago. Well, at this point, I had run out of one of them, but honestly, I always fill them a little early so that I don't have to worry about it. I don't know how this guy did his math, but I can tell you I take my prescriptions almost daily (I sometimes forget) and I had at this point run out one of my medications a few days before. The manager said he would review their security video to see if I had picked up the medications. I got a call back later saying they had a video of me picking up this prescriptions on 9/10 around 8:00 PM, but the manager didn't bother to describe me or go into any detail. He said they could sell the prescriptions to me again, but insurance wouldn't cover them. Again, I thought I was crazy and I racked my brain trying to figure out where I could have put them. My schedule at work changed recently, but I couldn't remember when it had changed. I went and looked at my time card and sure enough, it had changed before 9/10. I had been working on 9/10 until 10:00 PM, so there is no way I could have picked up the medications. I called the pharmacy manager again with this new information and I was again met with arguments about how there was a video of me and how I would have run out of the medications a long time ago if I hadn't picked them up. I said that yes, they had said there was a video, but he never described me and how did he know that was me? I also told him that I had run out of my Abilify about a week ago (at this point). "Well, what about your Nuva Ring? When did you run out of that?" I told him I had just taken my last ring out on Sunday and that I would need a new one by next Sunday. "Well, you would have run out of that a long time ago. You last filled it in June." (I get 3 Nuva Rings at a time). "Well, I'm telling you that I'm out of one prescription and I just took out my last Nuva Ring." He told me they had evidence of the transaction and had the credit card number. "Ok...what are the last 4 of the credit card?" He said he would review the video and get the last 4 of the credit card and then call me back. I got a call back awhile later saying they didn't have the last 4 of the credit card and he would go ahead and fill the prescription. Wow...that was a lot of trouble for something he could have done a long time ago. I was glad for it to be over with, though and I decided I would pick up my prescription that same day after I got off work at 10:00 just to be sure they didn't give it to someone else. I went to the drive through (I'm never stepping foot in that store again) and I was given...my Abilify. No Nuva Ring. I told them it was missing and the pharmacist went to check on it. He came back and announced that my doctor had denied the prescription. Well, I have an email from my doctor saying the prescription was approved, but that is besides the point. The first prescription was valid, but it was obviously given to someone else. They shouldn't need a doctor's approval to refill a prescription that I never got in the first place. I have called the corporate number twice now to complain and I'm waiting for a call back from the store manager. I may update this review depending on how that goes, but I don't feel like there's a whole lot they can do to make up for this. I've already transferred my prescriptions to HEB and I'm hoping that goes a lot better. read more

After spending a day and a half in the hospital, I was sent home with a prescription for a much needed medication. My doctor told me to be sure and have it filled on my way home. This was on a late Friday afternoon. When my caretaker went into the store, they told her that it would have to be preauthorized by the doctor. THE DOCTOR WROTE THE PRESCRIPTION! Isn't that enough? No! According to the pharmacy. Because it was the weekend they offered to sell us two pills at sixteen dollars each. Then we could possibly get the prescription on Monday. We paid the exorbitant $32 for the two pills. On Monday I called my doctor who told me to come to the office for samples. I did and will not be going back to Walgreens again ever though they are my insurance preferred pharmacy. It is possible that I could have suffered severe problems or died without this medication. With the assistance of a very helpful employee that was stocking, we found that they were completely out of the product both on the shelves and in the back. He wasn't deterred though. I do think these chain pharmacies are understaffed so the few employees there are overworked but still I am sitting here trying to get prescription lotion for eczema & a regular old low dose birth control pill. I CANNOT IMAGINE HAVING A REAL CONDITION like heart or breathing related! those people should be seriously worried that no one will help them! i was told twice now that my prescription would be there tomorrow...still no luck. I guess I will keep driving over there every day until it arrives since I have no where else to turn. The staff constantly tells me ______ isn't here today and that's who processed your order...they will be here tomorrow. I asked for the manager and conveniently he was unavailable as well. I don't think the staff is mean or rude - I think they are complacent and do not care that much about individual's issues. There is no ownership or value on customer service. This is the closest Walgreen's to my home, so I use it often. The store itself is fine--clean and well-stocked. I usually find the OTC stuff I need. But the pharmacy is SO SLOW. I dread it when I need a prescription late at night because it takes at least 1 1/2 hours to fill it here. I have no idea why it takes so long. One prescription was just a tube of antibiotic eye drops for my kid--it just needed a label on it. But we still had to wait 1 1/2 hours for it. If it's earlier in the day, I use HEB or CVS ... anywhere but here. read more

They said it would be 30 minutes wait and I had taken an hour to do other errands before I went to the pharmacy, thinking it should be ready now. When it was time to pay, the salesperson didn't know how to read my information on the computer. She was telling me I was over the gap and I know for a fact I was not, and gave me information about my 2017 medicare supplement plan. I am no longer on that plan I had provided the pharmacy that information at the beginning of the year. So she says to me, Oh No, you have been paying on the wrong plan. That is not true either. So I walked out and went to HEB pharmacy which gave me a problem, too. A long story short, I finally got my medicine several hours later. read more

so here i am outside my favorite walgreens. my (three) dogs & i are sitting on the sidewalk, feeling grateful. me & the dogs jogged over here to pick up a prescription. i guess it'd been longer than i thought since i'd last eaten. im standing here dreaming of a snickers bar & some water. i took a leap of faith. SO glad i did (i say between chews & swigs). bottom line, i couldnt take my dogs (2 american bulldogs, 1 rat terrior) in the store. NO WAY could i tie them up. so, i got as far inside the front door as i could (herd allowing). i saw a salesperson (who btw was way helpful the last time i was here). i only really shop here during the "graveyard shift". anyway, RYAN was standing there when i was peeking in i told him my situation (and my need of a snickers - for medicinal purposes only, of course). he said he'd fix me up. i gave him my card. and here we are. a hand delivered snickers wirh a bottle of waterl ryan, that was mighty neighborly of you and i wanted everyone to know. thanks again ryan. p.s i dont remember her name, but she as well has always been knowledgeable and friendly. tonight was the 2nd visit where shes given my animals a treat! yep, 2 each tonight!! read more

ALSO YOU MIGHT AS WELL CALL THEIR DRIVE-THRU PURGATORY BECAUSE EVEN IF ONLY ONE CAR IS AHEAD OF YOU, YOU'LL NEVER KNOW WHEN YOU'RE GOING TO GET OUT OF THERE. I had a prescription ready, handed them my card and was about to go on my way. Wow, thanks for that. I am currently in the process of moving to another pharmacy because of this outrage. I love this location. The staff is so helpful and they always remember me. They have so many seasonal items and when I'm sick or not feeling good I always go there for comfort things (blankets, teddy bears, medicine) to make myself feel better. The other Walgreens locations that I have been to don't seem to have as much stuff except for the one on Slaughter, but their customer service isn't as good. read more

As far as getting your px's right they do a good job. Their service is sooooo slow. Especially in the drive through. Isn't a dive through supposed to be quicker and more convenient? Apparently they haven't received the memo. There have been times where I was just dropping off (a task that should be fairly quick) and had to wait 10 min before someone even acknowledged that I was there only to be told that they would be right with me. This Walgreens is literally the worst business I've ever been to !! customer service is horrible !!! I had to get my doctor to verify I was allowed to pick up my prescription because they had the wrong directions (turning my 5 day supply into a 10 day supply of pain meds I needed because I just had major major surgery) so after my doctor calls to tell them to give it to me they call back and said they don't have it ! Should've filled it when they had it and held it for me !! But it gets even worse when I show up to pick up the prescription to take it somewhere else the pharmacist technician LOSES THE PRESCRIPTION !!! And then she has the nerve to laugh about it and was extremely rude !!!! I had to have them ca my doctor to tell them they lost the prescription , drove all the way back to my doctors office to have him write a new one then drive I a different Walgreens to have it filled ! My friend has been in the hospital for the last 8 hours for a kidney infection and was sent to this location, as it was the only 24hr pharmacy, to get her medications filled. While there she needed to use the restroom. This was before midnight and we were informed the doors were locked by the manager and he would not open them. After I spoke with Jose even explaining that she was here because of a kidney infection he would not open the door. Stating that he would lose his job if he did. If this is truly a policy what kind of customer service is that. We were 30-45 minutes from home, south to north in construction work, as again this was the closest pharmacy open. And she was in pain to the point of tears, again she is picking up medication for a kidney infection that we just left the ER for. And he refused to let her in suggesting that she should just go to the 7-11 even though we were here at Walgreens giving our business, not there. She ended up walking there while I was speaking with Jose as she couldn't wait any longer because of the pain. If this is how you treat customers I'm surprised you haven't more complaints. read more

FAIL!!!! We stopped in to get some flu shots - advertised as faster and easier than going to the drs office. Not so much. First off, the process of signing up to get the flu shot takes about 5 minutes. We then waited probably 20 minutes and then some other folks showed up and also signed up to get the shot, we were still waiting. Finally, after about 30 or more minutes, the pharmacy tech calls our name and then quickly after, calls the other peoples waiting name, as if we were in the same group or something. These other folks run up to pay and essentially cut in line, which is not entirely the pharmacy tech's fault, but still, try calling names in order and not in a group maybe? Then another 20 minutes go by, the pharmacist comes out and calls the other peoples' name for the shot. At this point, I start to throw a hissy fit, and explain that we have been waiting longer, but no one seems to care and they vaccinate the other people. Then, the pharmacist goes back into the pharmacy for another 10 or so minutes to fill some more prescriptions!!!! Possibly to punish me for pointing out they needed to get their ducks in a row? Only after I again asked to speak to the person in charge did they get their Sh*t together and come out to give the flu shot. I will NEVER go to this walgreens again!!!!! read more

I've been coming to this location for the past 2 years and the service gradually keeps getting worse in the pharmacy. They seem to be severely under staffed both in drive thru and inside and customer service is not great at this location. Word of advice...Close the drop off window inside if you are just going to make me wait in the pickup line...that way I'll know that it's not available. Usually wait on average 15-20 minutes just to drop off a script inside and outside. Is it also too much to ask management to staff someone to work the drive thru and make that their only focus from 4pm to 7pm during peak hours. I've never had a wait like this when I pick up/drop off scripts for my girlfriend at CVS. Usually I'm in and out in about 5 mins max. I will be moving my scripts over to CVS because this is getting ridiculous. read more
