I am awarding more stars-GS ORIGINAL POST: This customer erred by not keeping (maybe not even requesting) his receipt for half-price sunglasses ($25 cost) sold next to the pharmacy counter. A temple on the new glasses started going askew about 2 weeks later so I ventured back to Martin's, at my wife's suggestion, to seek a swap-out--the askewed glasses for an identical replacement pair. No go without the receipt, cashier said. When I pointed out that I obviously also had the glasses pouch from the purchase--perhaps a sign I'd bought the glasses there--the cashier didn't engage; he went silent, staring into his big screen. There is a shortage and I understand that…read more First of all, they don't allow you to refill a controlled drug unless you do a non controlled drug at the same time. They didn't consider me a customer because I last filled a prescription three months ago. I became the bottom priority. I had called earlier that day around 2 pm and was told that they had enough to fill the prescription. Two hours later I was called to say their supply ran out. That was hard to believe. The Pharm tech told me she understood and was on the same med and she couldn't get hers refilled. Again, hard to believe. I was a regular customer in the past and do my vaccines there. I explained that I'm going out of town and need to take care of my nephew who is in hospice. I won't go there again. It's like having to join a country club to get a prescription filled.

Of course, its primary purpose is that of being a pharmacy. Back in the day it was a tiny, intimate place. Now, the space is about half pharmacy and half everything else. Moreover, it appears to be 4X in size to the previous location. You can find just about anything you could possibly want in the Tarrytown pharmacy...prescription and over-the-counter drugs, decorations, clothing, toys, skincare, puzzles, cards, to name just a few. I ended up buying a greeting card and spending time just admiring the growth and diversity of items in the store. The cashier was friendly and offered me a complimentary gift bag. Tarrytown Pharmacy is way more than a pharmacy!

(However, since they are short on staff, you'll likely be dealing with the actual pharmacist instead of staff.) But I still switched my prescriptions there. Why? Quite simply, they're nice. They're also efficient. They did my annual flu shot with minimal muss or fuss. And they've done the exact same with my prescription transfer -- including making sure the copay discounts made it over as well. For a major chain, this probably comes as close as you can get to a small town pharmacy.

I was in desperate need of a prescription for an inhaler because of some breathing issues caused by…read moremold in my work environment. My dr called it into HEB, however, with my insurance, it was going to be $105! That's a lot for me, especially after buying necessary things for my new house. My dr had sent a discount coupon but HEB didn't take it; and the other coupons my dr office found also didn't provide much (if any) discount for my rx. So they told me to contact Randalls as one of the coupons listed the price at different places and Randalls was the cheapest (HEB was the most expensive). Upon calling them, they set up an account for me then called HEB to have my prescription transferred over. They let me know they would call me when it was ready. I didn't hear anything until I called 2 days later. They let me know it was ready so I jumped out of bed and went to pick it up. When I arrived there was no ones else there. I stood at the wait here sign for 5-10 minutes without any acknowledgement while several people behind the counter went about their business. A woman finally came to the front saying she couldn't see me. Maybe she couldn't, but what about the guy who stood consistently in eye line sight of me?? But once she came to assist me, she was friendly and it was a quick and easy process. In the future, I will check the price of rxs here alongside HEB.

I have a sore knee and went into Liberty Pharmacy & Medical Supply in search of a knee brace. While they had an assortment of braces, they did not have the one i was looking for. My vague recollection is that a woman had a green knee brace that you could pull on almost like hose but gripped much tighter. Needless to say, Liberty Pharmacy & Medical Supply did not have any such knee brace. They did have an assortment of braces for your arms and legs. The pharmacist was kind to point me to the section of the pharmacy that had the braces. Unfortunately, I was not able to find the brace I was seeking. Thus, my search continues...
