Fuel Center
Alex V.

The good part is that this usually has the cheapest gas in the area tied with Costco down the block. Unfortunately it reportedly doesn't have the detergent in it that Costco has, so it's not quite as good there. The other drawbacks are many, including that you have to have a Sam's Club membership to buy gas, of course. And since Sam's Club is popular there is almost always a big line to get to one of the pumps even though there are lots of pumps. One factor contributing to the line that is a pet peeve is that they only allow you to drive through one direction in order to control traffic flow, I guess. But that means that half the pumps have extra long lines because more people have a gas tank on that side of their car. This results in me getting in the shorter line each time and having to stretch the hose over my trunk to insert into the opposite side. Absurd! Other drawbacks are that you can't use cash and can only pay at the pump, although they have an app that you can pay from if that's easier. The hours are also shorter than average because the store isn't open late. In short, it's a very no-frills gas experience, though I still use it when I have a membership. It's conveniently located and always has window cleaner squeegees at the pumps and is well covered from the rain and sun most of the time, but it's nothing special for a few cents savings.

Two attendants chatting, the pump we tried near where they were talking they were standing nearby in the way. We got them to move- seemed they were deep in comvo instead of helping us get fuel which is the purpose they are there- RIGHT? No! Get this: First, the card reader didn't work- ok- the guy tried to help- fine. Then we went to another pump which since it was pretty much empty we circled around and ended up facing the entrance to try and get fuel. The male attendant talked to me, all the while my boyfriend got fuel and told us the manager will turn off the pump if he sees anyone doing that. The only way around it is him staying there talking to me. He told me that on another occasion- there was an incident where a woman got mad for some reason- got an attorney and sued Sam's. Strange. Anyway, I felt intimidated and upset because by that time the place started filling up and then we would have had to wait in line again to get fuel. Doesn't the manager take that into account???? No!!! Meanwhile, the woman whose thought left- comes back and starts chatting with my boyfriend like she's trying to pick him up, the male attendant get mad at her tells her to leave- she refuses, they start FIGHTING! Angry words, nothing physical but GEEZ!!! Horrible experience- would give them no stars if I could. I hate Sam's! My boyfriend has a card, I used to and quit because of the bad prices. See prior posts. How I hate coming to Sam's! Yet another awful experience!!!

The sale end 3/30/25 and they didn't want to even try and help the elderly lady after they tell her it's available just in the back!!!!

Literally just now 3/25/25 my elderly mother went to the electronics section and found her Epson printer she wanted on sale. She asked the female associate if they had more and the associate found 6 more in the back in stock. They just hadn't brought more up front. The lady told my mom she could wait because the printers are all still there..... Well there were none on the show room floor they were in the back. My mom says well the sale ends on3/30 and I need it. Then I tell my mom to ask another associate because this one obviously didn't want to get help or even try. She asked a male associate, who straight up lies to her and says there are no more and tells her she can go to another Sams because they are priced the same. My mom tells him what the associate prior said they had some in the back but hadn't brought them to the floor and she was trying to have my mom wait days...literally my mom tells them the sale ends 3/30/25. Management really should have a talk with their associates just standing around not doing anything... Elderly people should not be treated like this and sent on goose chases when it your job to be honest and help!!!! Very disappointed and ending my membership

Pretty good chicken salad

I like it here. There's always that Sam's vs Costco debate but personally I get a lot of my needs met here from photos to glasses to Rx to bulk food and church bulk needs. Now that we got onto the better membership plan we are actually making $ cashing back and waiving the annual fee. Yes the place may look drab and it's dimmer so more depressing to shop here vs Costco but still it's roomier, people are friendlier and there's no one pushing carts into you. Samples are during lunch or snack times and they give alot and there isn't crazy shoving lines like Costco. Overall prices are good esp when there are deals. Funny how some stuff they have here Costco doesn't so we still hit both but meats I've found better deals here. I like their pizza here too. Thinner and maybe greasier but it's good. Their chicken salad croissant sandwich is good. They give alot. Their ice cream is bigger and cheaper here too and their hot dogs are huge. This Sam's is our go to. Very convenient location too. Been going here for decades and Love seeing same friendly faces still working here. Kerp it up Sam's!

EBT Costco. The rotisserie chickens are rarely not overcooked, if there are any at all. Their food court pizza is incredible though.

I felt like this was going to be a good deal. The owner had also recently joined a Referral Networking Organization that I run in Austin. Maybe something changed or cash ran low. If I search for reviews now I can find others with similar experiences to my own. He is no longer in the networking organization and I have even found some vendor's that he failed to pay.So here is our story. I hope it will save you from going though the nightmare we are still dealing with. We ordered and paid in May of 2012. We put the deposit down and ordered the cabinets before we had even closed on the new house. We were told it was the only way they could get them finished and installed by the end of June. The only deadline they committed to and actually delivered on was when we demo'd the Kitchen back in early June. All my calls and emails asking for updates went pretty much unreturned. I had to drive to the showroom if I wanted to actually be able to speak to someone. Even his Staff said they could only get him via text message. The owner turned off incoming calls on his cell phone. The vendors we hired to do the floors, painting, bathroom remodel, lighting, electrical, plumbing and audio system all did wonderful jobs. In addition they also finished everything on time. We had everything completed, other than the Kitchen and Appliances by June 23rd. We agreed to a price, signed contracts and were even planning to add an outdoor BBQ and closet with some trade. It's now August and the only thing I have been able to get is the shells for the cabinets. They shells are not even close to the quality work that was promised. I think IKEA has them beat on quality of product. Maybe this was not always the case. I was told by their Staff that their Cabinet Builder quit in May. Our project was supposed to be completed by the end of June. I would think that would mean all the appliances and products would have already been on Site in preparation. We paid 60% of the money at the time of the order (In May). That is more than 50% required per Coleman's terms. When they missed the 1st deadline in June the excuse was that they were just finishing up the cabinets. No additional money was ever requested or discussed. After a week in the house with no KitchenI asked if we could at least get the Appliances. We have a 9 year old and it was rather hard without them. He said they could order them if I paid for delivery. Only two days earlier he had said they were doing there best to hit the deadline and now I find out they have not even ordered the products. Then, 2 weeks after that we are told they can no longer get Kitchen Aid Appliances. We thought we we had ordered and paid for a "Mercedes" Kitchen. Now he was offering to replace the "Mercedes" with a Kia for the same price. After more calls, texts and emails they finally agreed to show up. with the Cabinets. They made an appointment for 8AM. As usual, no one showed up or called. After I called them numerous times I was told they were stuck on another job but would be out later. They showed up at 7PM but only to drop off only the cabinet shells. They were STILL working on the drawers and doors. I thought this was funny. In June the only delay preventing our products from arriving was rain. They had to rent a truck, on our dime, because it was raining and they only had a flatbed trailer. It was excuse after excuse with this guy. When the cabinets were dropped off I was told they would be back in the morning with a crew to start installation. That appointment came and went like all the other. No one showed up, no one called and I had to call them to get an another excuse. I asked again if they could at least bring the refrigerator as it was getting hard and was very unhealthy to eat out every meal. OMG...now the the owner called wanted more money to "Fund" my appliance order before we could move forward on the project. I guess he is having a cash flow issue. I guess it should have been a red flag when I discovered his family car was an 5 year old KIA Spectra. Not an indicator of good cash flow. I said we needed to talk in person. We set an appointment to meet at his store at 10AM. Not surprisingly he stood me up. Even his sales guys thought it was odd since it was written on the wall calendar in his showroom. His sales guys had to call to tell me that Allen had returned to the showroom. I decided to drive back at 2PM. We talked for awhile and I thought had agreed to a solution. I had him give me some dates for the completion of each stage of the project. I even wrote them down and had him sign next to them. They were once again missed. We are now taking legal action. Hope this helps

Kitchen Nightmare - Ordered a complete kitchen remodel and everything had to be paid in advance…read morebecause it was "wholesale." This should have been my first clue. I ordered custom, all wood, factory finished wood cabinets, stone counter tops and an appliance package. The demo person came on March 12, 2012 and was on time and did a very good job. After that it was downhill all the way! Sat home waiting for materials and workmen who never arrived. Cabinets were finally delivered at 7PM one night. They did not come in factory boxes but were shrink wrapped (another clue). They had flimsy paper like laminate on sides that were already peeling and these were suppose to be brand new! Also parts and accessories are missing. There are a lot of nicks and gouges on the surfaces. After lots of frustration and aggravation trying to get Mr. Coleman to resolve these issues I notified him I was no longer doing business with him. He sent a very unprofessional, intimidating email and said he would sue for slander if I said anything bad about his business. My lawyer said the proof is in the cabinets. Had independent appraisers look at these cabinets and was told by all of them that I got taken and the cabinets were substandard. I had paid close to $10,000. for the cabinets alone and they are not as nice as Home Depot's cheapest brand. For that amount of money I should have received the custom wood cabinets I ordered and was promised. Fortunately I used my charge card for most of the purchases and after a thorough investigation they backed me up and I recouped that money. Unfortunately I paid by check for the appliances which I never received and also never received a refund. I am filing a fraud report and hope to recover the rest of my money from Mr. Coleman.

CVS Pharmacy

CVS Pharmacy

This CVS pharmacy inside Target has worse customer service than the CVS Target pharmacy on Mopac…read more Somehow, they had ALL of my prescriptions on default for using a coupon instead of billing it to my insurance. I was charged an arm and a leg on my prescriptions the last five months, even though I had met my deductible. When I kept questioning how much insurance was covered, Joe G., the pharmacy manager and the female Asian pharmacy technician, kept claiming my insurance or coupons were used. Uncheck the darn box and see how much it costs with insurance billed instead of using coupons. There's also a bug in their software, which claims Navitus insurance was used when I have a different insurance. It wasn't until I drove down to the South Austin Target location that the pharmacy technician Alex discovered that filling covid tests should be free instead of $74. He unchecked the default of using a coupon on all my prescriptions. Simini runs a tighter ship at the South Target location. I went back to see Joe G., the manager, at the Great Hills location. I showed him my Express Scripts insurance card and Joe G. claimed I could only fill prescriptions at Walgreens or Costco. What? I've never filled a prescription at Walgreens or Costco in my life, and I told him I had been seeing Simini at the Target South location for twelve years. He gave me a refund over the last three months of over- billing, where they billed to coupon instead of insurance. The only thing I didn't have him back check was my Armour thyroid, whether it would have been cheaper to fill a 30 - day vs. 90 - day supply. Minus two stars because Joe said their location doesn't typically check if it's cheaper to fill one month vs. three months, or coupon vs. insurance. The only pharmacist at the Great Hills location who does this is the Latina pharmacist (probably a temp). Joe put it in my profile to search for coupons when my deductible is reset at the beginning of the year. But honestly, they should be doing that for all customers, not just me. When I told him that my insurance didn't didn't cover 90 - day supplies until after three months, he claimed he didn't know because they don't check for that at the Great Hills location. I told him it was his Latina pharmacist who told me that the previous week. These are the kinds of things a good pharmacist will look up for me and the customer service I expect from every pharmacist. I may switch to Symphony Pharmacy for this reason. Joe G. refused to fill an order for covid tests, citing we needed a prescription with our Express Scripts insurance. I've filled 8 tests at Target South with no prescription before. I'm definitely not coming back to this location again. Perhaps he billed it to coupon again for $74. Five minutes after Joe G. told my husband that Express Scripts doesn't fill covid tests without a prescription, my husband went to the CVS on Anderson Lane and they were able to fill four boxes for free using our insurance without a prescription. When I called Joe G., he said he didn't even try running it through our insurance. We are never coming to this location again. Apparently, Joe G. isn't aware there are different tiers with every insurance.
