I had a flat at the HEB center while buying tickets to a hockey game, so I call the roadside assistance that came with my vehicle through the dealership. They sent Jimmel with Alpha Roadside and he was there within the hour. He quickly diagnosed the issue (dead battery) and even offered a replacement there on the spot. But.... I figured such convenience would come with a premium and that I could get a better deal at Auto Zone, so I passed and just asked for a jump. Big mistake!! When I got to AutoZone, they didn't even have a 5yr battery for my truck. The 4yr they had they said "would work" but wasn't fitted properly for my vehicle so "might move around" (say what???). AND their batteries were more expensive. So I called Jimmel and he offered to meet me at my house where he got me taken care of in a jiffy. Better batter, lower price, more convenient and it comes with the same warranty you'd get when buying at a store like Auto Zone or anywhere else. As I was losing faith in getting my car towed by AAA to replace my two flat tires at the dealership, I stumbled upon Alpha Roadside here on Yelp and after taking a look at their website, I gave them a call to see if they could help me out instead. I ended up canceling my AAA request and going with Alpha Roadside, which was just so convenient as my car didn't need to get towed at all and all the repair happened in my apartment garage. First he came to take my two flat tires off my car, then he went to Discount Tire to pick up two replacements (since I didn't have any of my own spare tires) that I had called ahead about. Once the tires were ready to be picked up, he brought them back to my car in my garage and installed them right away. The whole process was super simple and the cost of the tires is just included in your total invoice. I think it was Jimmel who helped me (?) based on who's listed as the North Austin contact. He was so nice and had a great sense of humor and attitude and kept me in the loop as he went to pick up my new tires to bring back. 5/5 10/10 Hopefully I won't need to but would definitely reach back out to them again if I needed any car help in the future read more

I hadn't been at my Austin apartment in months and had an appointment the next day to sell my car. When got in the night before I went to start my car and realized the battery was dead. So bright and early the next day I called these guys (Jimmel?) and he quickly hooked me up with a member of his team who could help. Within 30 minutes they were at my garage to jumpstart it very simple, very fast. One thing I was not thrilled at though was that the tech showed me his voltmeter to tell me the battery was dead and needed a replacement. As a former mechanic I know this was not true - it just needed a jump start - so I deferred buying a new battery. What if I told you, Jimmel is an angel?! Long story short I had a horrific blowout tire experience yesterday when it was 100° outside. It's a miracle that I didn't flip my car or crash... But I was able to safely get myself to the side of the road. I called AAA as I have been a member since 1994. After 20 minutes of automated nonsense, an actual human answer the phone. She progressed to tell me that roadside service would arrive in over two hours. I started panicking because I was on the 130 highway with traffic going very fast, as well as it being dangerously hot outside, and I had no water. When I told her this, that it was a real emergency, she told me "that was a soon as they can get someone to me was within two hours. So I waited and waited, and then all of a sudden out of nowhere this blue minivan pulls up alongside of my car and asked me if I have a spare tire in the back to which I responded of course! Without missing a beat, this gentleman got out of his minivan and proceeded with all of his tools to jack up my car, remove the blown out tire, and replace it with the spare. I went to grab my AAA card, and he replied "oh I'm not AAA, I'm with a different roadside service company... I saw you stranded here and I just felt led to stop and see if you were OK and help you if I could!" To say that I was in shock is an understatement! This guy and his company were just so generous and caring... It took a couple of seconds to sink in, but when it did, I replied with a resounding "oh my gosh, you're an angel sent from heaven!!" Once again ARS to my rescue! I woke up this morning and went to my car only to find that my car key was missing. I checked the house but couldn't find it. I hadn't been anywhere in days so I assumed the key was somewhere in the car. I created a roadside request through my insurance and waited for them to arrive. This time it was Jimmel. He was extremely helpful and friendly. I enjoyed chatting with him while he popped open my car door. He even made sure I found the key (which was in the back of the car on the floor). I showed him how the key probably slipped off and that the fob doesn't work. He was even nice enough to check that the battery was properly installed. When he saw that it was, he let me know it possibly needed to be reprogrammed. He told me to try a new battery first, but that he could give me information on someone who could reprogram the key for me if a new battery doesn't work. This past Monday I locked my phone keys, purse and spare keys all inside of my car. ‍ Alpha roadside services gave me a 45 minute window of when they would be there to help unlock my car and actually got there in around 35 minutes. I called ARS because the right front tire on my 2020 Corvette was flat with a four inch split on the sidewall (no spare, by design) . I had to order the tire which left me in the position of figuring out how to get the wheel off, leaving the car on a stand, and getting the wheel to the tire shop. Thank goodness I called ARS and Justin (co-owner) said not a problem, we'll take the wheel in, pick it up when the tire is installed, and put it back on. Moreover, Justin coordinated with the tire shop to pay for the tires and service so I just had one company to pay. I was amazed at the service.
