I needed to transport a non-running car I recently bought from Round Rock to south Austin, which was a 30 mile distance. I know towing is somewhat expensive if you don't have towing insurance, but most of the major towing companies in the area had absolutely ridiculously high tow fees for a 30 mile tow. I found Roberts Towing and Robert quoted me a very reasonable price for the tow. About 40% less than the major tow companies. After I called to schedule the tow, Robert arrived about an hour later and quickly loaded my car on his rollback tow truck. This was the fastest car loading I had ever seen! He quickly hauled the car to its destination, and quickly unloaded the car. And, doing all of this before payment was made.. This is quick "no non-sense" towing at a very reasonable price. I will definitely be using Roberts Towing again! read more

Purchased a non running vehicle and wanted it towed to my house. I shopped around but most places were either busy or too expensive. Roberts Towing came quickly and were very professional. I'll be using them again for sure. read more

Battery died and ruined my whole morning. Robert was responsive and fast, came and did the tow. He even looked at my battery and checked the voltage, recommended some mobile mechanics, and gave me awesome advice/steps to fix the issue on my own. The rate was affordable and service was great. Hopefully I don't need a tow again, but if I do Robert will be the first call! read more

Easy communication and set up for moving my car about 20 miles. He was able to move it faster than anticipated and picked it up from one garage and dropped it in another. I definitely recommend his services if you actually expect someone to show up and do what they say they'll do. read more

These guys are awesome!!! They said they would be there in 35 minutes max and showed up in about 12 minutes. They got my car onto the truck without any damage and also gave me a ride to the dealer along with the car. They were friendly and made an extremely difficult day less terrible. I strongly recommend Robert's Towing over any other towing company in the Austin area!!!! read more

Robert (?) was very pleasant, tow rate was ridiculously reasonable. I almost cried when my Lexus went onto the back but he did The Beast right by me. Would use again, but hopefully we won't have to! read more

There was an unfortunate incident in our neighborhood where everyone's tires were slashed. I called Robert's Towing for an estimate to come grab our car and bring it to the shop. The estimate was less than other companies, he came within 45 minutes, and he was SO gracious while I tried to balance getting the car to him and working from home. Highly highly recommend. read more

Talk about the 3 BEST P's! Prompt, Professional, Perfect! Robert gave me a quote within minutes to move my farm equipment - considerably less than others - and gave me the same outstanding service on both occasions! I would only hire Robert in the future! Thank you, Robert! read more

No one is ever happy to call a tow truck, I think. With that in mind, this guy showed up when he said he would, knew what he was doing, and was both polite and fast. I'm keeping them in my phone. read more

These guys are really first rate. I have Roadside Assistance through AmEx, and when I called to get a tow today I was initially assigned to another service -- which never showed up. Totally frustrated, I called AmEx and they called Roberts Towing. The tow truck driver go to me in less than 30 minutes, got the car up on the flat-bed tow truck in about 3 minutes, and took me and my car to my mechanic. The driver was really friendly and professional. I will recommend this business to all my friends -- they are totally on top of the towing game! read more

Broke down outside of Austin in the middle of a Sunday. Called USAA and they told me that Robert's Towing would be there in 60 minutes. Both USAA and Robert from Robert's Towing called to check on me and verify the ETA. Sure enough... 60 minutes almost to the second, up drives Robert. VERY professional. Neat, courteous, clean truck. He got my little MINI on the flatbed in no time and hauled me and my car up to the dealership. He knew right where to drop the car off, and my out of pocket for the towing was quite reasonable, too. I've used towing services that were a bit frightening to a lone woman. Robert was great and I felt comfortable with him immediately. It's not always easy to feel safe as a woman when your car breaks down in the middle of nowhere! But then, I don't think USAA would use just any towing service so that's a vote of confidence, too! If I get stranded again, I know my request to my insurance company will be to call Robert's. I'm a fan! Thank you! read more

Don't be fooled by the comparatively small size of this business. This guy is an ace! I lost my truck keys and needed a tow into the dealership. They gave me a complimentary vehicle unlock just to make sure I didn't lock my keys inside. No keys to be found, there was a huge problem... My steering column was locked with the wheels turning left. How can that be towed?? Roberts towing said "no problem", as if they do this every day. With exceptional accuracy and magnificence, the driver lowed the flat bed to 1 inch above the ground, and drove his truck in reverse hard right while pulling my truck up the bed, to compensate for my hard left steering lock. You had to see it! This guy was good! I was originally concerned about hiring a towing company because my truck is my baby, and I won't tolerate Knicks and scratches. No worries here! I'll be trusting Roberts Towing if I need a tow in the future. Oh.... And did I mention.... Their prices are below market! read more

Roberts Towing - This flatbed hauler, escorts your vehicle with much more care than a typical tow truck - Towing Near Me

Requested towing around 11:30 CST Saturday, April 26 and was told the ETA would be 2:58pm which was not a problem as I made arrangements to leave vehicle unattended and have towed to local service center. Around 6:30pm, my wife began to receive multiple calls and texts from Robert's towing. We were in the middle of a wedding ceremony, so we returned the calls/texts promptly after the vows were spoken. The driver was quite rude, patronizing and condescending to my wife. Apparently, there had been miscommunication between roadside assistance and Robert's Towing as to the exact location of the vehicle, which vehicle (multiple on policy) and location of the key. After two exchanges between my wife and the driver, I took over the communication. The driver spoke to me in the same manner and when I pointed out that I would not be spoken to that way, he informed me (using vulgar language) that he did not have to tow my vehicle and hung up on me. I spoke to his dispatcher (who initially defended his driver and was also rude to me) to complain about the exchange. Once the dispatcher understood what really happened, he became helpful and agreed to call roadside assistance to dispatch another towing company as I had become uncomfortable with my exchanges with Roberts and did not want them to take possession of my vehicle. I fully understand that towing companies have the upper hand - as the driver pointed out, they don't have to tow your vehicle and, if they do, you are at their mercy to get it back. But to treat your customers with the type of contempt and language that we observed is completely unprofessional and needs to be highlighted to others thinking of using Robert's. There are plenty of other towing companies out there, use one of them or risk being treated like my wife and I were. read more
