Harper's hands down saved the day today. We had 3 tow companies: one was a no show, one was too late, the last one showed up and left our vehicle in the lot, but put delivered. Not one of these companies ever picked up the phone to let us know, I had to find out thru our AirTag in car. Within one hour of calling Harper's, they already had our truck on flatbed and headed to destination and they were in contact entire time. Thank you so much Jon Singer for being an honest reliable driver!! read more

Harper's Towing Service - Towing Near Me - Austin, Texas

I didn't want to be towed, but I had fuel injector issues at 110,000 miles and had to pull off on the side of the road. I remembered seeing Harper's around town and thinking that their tow trucks looked cleaner than others'. Because of that, I called and had them tow my ride. I forgot the guy's name but he was very professional and competent and friendly, and my vehicle was best taken care of from that spot to the dealership. I know because I hitched a ride and had lovely conversation en route to the dealership. I shopped for top quality not price but I felt it was fair enough. read more

Harper's was one of the few bright spots in an otherwise bad day for us. My wife was involved in an unfortunate auto collision that rendered her car undriveable. However, our experience with Harper helped us get through it. They were very quick to the scene. They towed our car from a busy Austin roadway to our residential neighborhood and on to our driveway. (All this through very narrow streets without damaging any cars parked on street.) Our tower (Ballard) was very skilled in getting our car on and off the truck and very courteous throughout. I will most definitely keep the Harper's business card he gave me and use them in the future if I need a tow. I highly, highly, highly recommend Harper's Towing Service. read more

I'm so glad we used Harper's towing service today. We got the pleasure of having John come out and rescue the day. He was so cool and professional. I can tell he has been doing this awhile. He knew exactly how to maneuver the car to get it out of a parking garage. He was helpful all the way to drop off at the service area of the dealership. I will definitely call him again in the future should I have another issue. He really saved the day!! read more

Harper's Towing Service - John was the best thing that happened today!! What a great guy and towing service!! - Towing Near Me - Austin, Texas

The service was top tier!!! I'm traveling from the Dallas area to Dripping Springs and blew a tire on Mopac this morning at 6:30. I called in and had a wrecker on site within 15-20 minutes. The driver,Chris was very helpful and clean cut. We took it to a Walmart but they couldn't get to it today!! He suggested a Discount Tire close by and dropped it off there. Chris was great. Very attentive and personable. Over all a great experience. God is good!!!! read more

absolutely predatory business model - if you're involved in an accident and call 911 (like I was) they will arrive via a contract with the police. when they arrived I was assured the tow would be free via their contract with the city. called later to ask if they I could hire them to tow it to a repair shop, and was informed I had been accruing additional $22.80 per day in costs, on top of the initial tow, and had to come in person to pay it (no online or over the phone, so even though I have 2 kids and no working car I would have to uber there and back to pay in person). That's a business designed to make it difficult for the customer and extract more $$ from them during difficult circumstances. Had the tow truck driver informed me of my options I would have declined and wait for triple A to tow the car for me to my auto shop of choice. If you are in Austin, and they appear on the scene when you're call 911 - DO NOT LET THEM TAKE YOUR CAR. Call your insurance company, ask questions, and make your own plan. Because once they have your car, they will extort you because they can. Trusting them at the scene after getting rear ended because the police station dispatched them cost me over $1,000. read more

Harper's Towing took fantastic care of my wife's Honda minivan. We made an appointment to have her van towed and Henry our driver called promptly 15 minutes before pick up to let me know he was on his way. Payment was easy, prices were very fair, and they made what is normally a negative experience a pretty positive one. Highly recommend. read more

Hands down the best towing company! Not that I have much experience with towing, but I have a Range Rover and the gearbox would not move, meaning, I could not take my car out of drive and so it was stuck in my garage. After watching several YouTube videos and calling the dealership, we could not get my car in neutral. I called Terry Sayther, my mechanic for recommendations and they recommended Harper's. I called Harper's and spoke with their operator Betty who was as sweet as could be. I explained my situation and was told that I would need a flat bed truck. She kept me posted and within 1 hour, John arrived. He had my car in neutral and on the flatbed in less than 10 minutes! I was amazed and relieved! You pay a premium cost for everything when you have a luxury vehicle and after getting a quote from another towing company, Harper's was $100 cheaper! Their price was definitely reasonable and I am grateful that John took great care loading and unloading my car. read more

Highly recommend Harper's!! I got the run around from a major name in town. I got a referral from my car dealership to call Harpers. They were to my car in 20 minutes and had it on its way to the shop quickly. The driver went above and beyond to send me a picture of my car at the dealership so I knew it was done. I really appreciate them and will be using them for all future towing needs! read more

Our Yukon broke down in Blanco and after determining a repair was not possible we called our insurance and several local towing places. The insurance company was slow to find a provider that was available and most of the other tow companies didn't answer their phones! Steve answered, knew exactly where I was even though I was outside of Austin and quoted me a an ETA and cost. He showed up early, hooked things up carefully and quickly and gave me a ride in a nice clean truck. Fantastic experience from a communicative, experienced business owner! read more

0 STARS! My daughter, 17 years old, wrecked, driving in bad weather. The sheriff called a tow company before any of her guardians were on the scene. The tow driver arrived and put the vehicle on his truck without speaking any words about insurance/cost. We have AAA, which is free towing. The sheriff called the tow truck - not us! After the car was loaded he used expletive words to state that they don't work with AAA and that it would be $279 in hand right now to tow it home. We refused and asked him to take the car off so we can call AAA. He said the 'car is his now' and he's taking it. It will be $279 in hand now or $279 yard fee plus $22 a day and a 10 day hold/wait for them to get it to a collision yard. While we turned to the sheriff for help getting possession of our vehicle back, the tow truck driver DROVE OFF WITH OUR CAR - HE LITERALLY STOLE IT!! Leaving us no other option now but to be totally screwed. I hope he has diarrhea for 2 weeks and grows hemorrhoids bigger than grapes! read more

Today my car got a flat tire and I called Harper's to assist in towing it to the nearest Firestone. They were reasonably priced and the driver was soooo nice! I can't remember her name but she was from Virginia and was so sweet. She gave us a ride over to Firestone and even asked if we wanted a ride back to my apartment! Seriously, such a good experience with Harper's and I'll definitely be using them from now on! 10/10 would recommend :) read more

This is the only tow company I will call after using them twice. They are fast, friendly, helpful humans with integrity. I used them a couple years ago and was insanely impressed even just by how quickly they responded to my call, how well they communicate and even how well kept their tow trucks are. When I was involved in a multiple vehicle pile up a year ago we called several tow companies that lazily told us they couldn't get to us for at least 2 hours. Then I called Harper's and we were out of their range of service and they agreed to help us out and arrived in less than 30 mins. Couldn't ask for better service and they are so skilled and don't screw up your vehicle. read more

A planned trip to South Austin resulted in an unexpected car breakdown. Used Yelp to locate a service and soooo glad to find Harper's Towing Services!! Ed met us in the Texas Roadhouse parking lot and went above and beyond to help us! He was friendly and professional to help us figure out what was wrong, navigated us with literal manual transmission to get the car out of a tough and thorny parking spot to somewhere he could get us hooked up to tow. Ed even dropped the car at the repair place for us and left the keys so we could have dinner. Above and beyond service!! Can't say enough good things about Ed and Harper's Towing Services! read more
