This is the OKD mania plate for $11.99. You get 5 wings and a big fluffy waffle

I have been craving Chicken and Waffles for so long now. I was happy to find this place on Yelp for Chicken and Waffle. Y'all this food is so DELICIOUS!!! You will not be disappointed at all. I give this place a well deserve 5 stars because The CHICKEN was seasoned so good, and The waffle was the Best waffle I ever had. After you pour the hot melted butter on the waffle..... The waffle absorbs the butter and syrup...and it oozes back out after every bite. Also, I truly enjoy the hospitality and friendliness from Jamil and E. They were so inviting and funny. It felt like we knew each other. It was definitely top of the line service. The food was cooked in ready within 10 mins as promised. The restaurant was clean, and they offer Kool-aid as a beverage!!! I was excited to see Kool-aid as a beverage decision. LOL! If you love good comfort food, drunk, or crave Chicken and waffles. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place

Ita only one place in Memphis that seeves comparable chicken and waffles and it Mrs Pollys. This place is absolutely great. Crispy Chicken, fluffy pancakes. Great food.

Decent meal of crispy crunchy chicken wings and a waffle that seems like banana is in the waffle mix! It's sorta pricey but we had no complaints so it was ok!

The wings breading reminded me of catfish. I loved it!

This area has got to be the Capitol of chicken wings. What are there? 15-20 chicken wing places within a square mile? Not even counting the other various restaurants that also have chicken wings on the menu. I'll bet if you were dropped off anywhere on Winchester between Hickory Hill and Hack's Cross, you could walk like 100 yards and get chicken wings. I like wings, but I'm particular about them because most wings suck. Nothing really stands out between one place and another to lure me in. Except this place. It's chicken and waffles. True, there's a Waffle House about to open, but they don't have wings. Waffle Mania has that something different about it. The business started as a food truck but now is a store. He is a smart guy. He has his image on the walls and even made into the tables. They were putting a cool sign above the door while I was there also. I wish him the best of luck with all the local competition, but I think his edge might be the key to his success. As for the food, it was great. I've had wings till I'm nearly sick of wings and unless they're really good, I'm not impressed. Well it turns out I was really impressed. I've never had them quite this way. They were breaded much like catfish. Cornmeal and seasonings. The flavor even reminded me of catfish. I know that sounds strange, but I liked it. Usually I cover mine with hot sauce, but I liked these just the way they were. Also they were timed just perfectly in the fryer. The cornmeal had that perfect golden brown crunch and the meat was still juicy and tender. They were a bit on the small side, but perhaps they cook better this way. The menu promised me 3 wings but I was served 4 instead. Not sure if that's common practice, but it's what I got. The waffle was pretty dang good too. It had a hint of cinnamon and it worked well with the wings. They gave me a to go syrup, but there was syrup on the tables as well. I felt that the waffle was a bit doughy and could have cooked a bit more for that crunch. I'll add that the brix on the Coke was perfect! That's the term for adjusting the syrup and carbonated water in a fountain machine. Ever notice how McDonald's has the best tasting Coke? That's because most fools don't maintain and adjust their equipment. Most people don't know how to. I do. I have the tools. The Coke at Waffle Mania was that good. Another smart move. As for price, I spent $12 for the Mania Special, drink, and tax. It might have been $2 too much but I felt the quality was worth it. Also, this being fast food, tipping is not necessary, so it cancelled out. I felt like I got what I paid for. It seemed a little odd ordering through a window. I felt like I was buying a bus ticket. I was the first customer at 11 and the whole area around the drink machine was sticky. Other than that the place seemed clean. Service was fast. I didn't even have my drink made and they were handing me my food. If it was pre-made, mine didn't sit more than 2 minutes. It was super hot. I'd just wonder how much they pre cook and how long they keep it. All in all a good lunch. I'll return and try some sandwiches. 9/26/17. I'm going down from 4 stars to three. The chicken philly sandwich was a sad excuse. My friend ordered chicken and waffles. He was nearly done when I got my sandwich. I couldn't even pick it up once without it falling out. Wrong bread. Barely had cheese. Chicken itself was just ok. And why don't they have beef philllys? 8/21/18 I'm going down to two stars. They are playing rap music that has filthy and offensive language in every song. This is not appropriate for a public setting.

Chicken was so good just too greasy

We've eaten here once, and they got our orders wrong after it was clear as day. Anyhow. The food was DELICIOUS.. but extremely, EXTREMELY small portions for the prices. Won't be back any time soon. But once again, the food's flavor was fantastic!!

Kadence mania delicious!! 2 wings and a golden waffle

Superb!! From the reviews, I was expecting great food. I already had it set in my mind that it would be delicious. On Fridays at work, we usually go out for lunch. It was my turn to pick, so I decided to give this place a try..especially since I've been craving waffles for about a week. When we walked in there was along line, but we were to the front in no time. The inside reminds me of a check cashing place...the order/pickup window. The decor seems to be outdated and the tables could use a mean scrubbing. I was here for the food, so I kind of looked passed all of that. I'm really weird when it comes to sitting on seats with any kind of tear marks. We both ordered from the kids menu. I ordered the kadence meal (2 wings and 1 golden waffle). After I received my ticket, we found seats on the side, due to it was getting really busy and people were crowding the front dining area. They call you by your ticket number when your food is ready, which took about ten minutes. You pickup your order in the same place that you make your order...so it was kind of difficult squeezing in to get our orders. The food was hot and fresh!!!! Delicious!!!!!! I would say, next time I will order the chicken tender kids meal..more meat..lol. I will definitely order again!

I finally got a chance to eat the popular Waffle Mania truck let me start by saying the chicken was seasoned to perfection hot and delicious the Waffle was hot and fresh as well it was an absolute pleasure to eat.

I have eaten here several times!! Every time just gets better and better. The owner is always there making sure each order that goes out is perfect. The food is the bomb especially the mania burger. The place is very clean . They will forever have a customer

Chicken tenders dipped in honey gold sauce

Chicken & Waffles are my favorite combo in the ENTIRE world. I believe them to be an inseparable duo, even better than batman & robin. Before trying this place out, I would order my waffles from ck's or Waffle House and chicken from a lot of different wing places. Although content, I was unable to find a single place that could respect the chicken & waffle duo...until now. I tried the Regina Mania (3 tenders & a waffle) for about $10 (Came with one syrup, butter, & ranch). I had the tenders dipped in honey gold sauce and y'all , I have found heaven on earth. Let me provide a list on how I came to this conclusion. Pros: -The chicken was not frozen. It was hot, freshly prepared, seasoned just enough with a right kick, juicy, and a pretty average size. -The honey gold sauce was so good ( I legit used my finger to scoop up the remainder off the paper separating it from the waffle) bringing the chicken up an extra notch. -The waffle was big and subtly sweet and fluffy. -The employees were very respectful and the place was very clean. Cons: -$10 is a little steep to not come with a drink in my personal opinion. -The waffle was kind of soft and could have been more crunchy. Overall, the meal was delightful, very fulfilling, and I will surely be back!

Started from a food truck and now we here. I've always wanted to try this place but would always miss the truck location. I ordered the chicken and waffle. I believe it's called the waffle mania. It comes with 3 pcs of chicken and one waffle. My only compliant here is the chicken the wings were so tiny. The seasoning of the wings was great with a spicy kick and the waffle was pretty tasty as well. The food was hot and fresh with little to no wait time. The fries were a little too seasoned for my taste but still was good( nothing a paper towel can't wipe away). My only suggestion would be larger wings and everything would be perfect. No worries I will have to try this place again.

I haven't had the best of luck with Chinese food in Memphis so I did everything I could to suppress this unwanted craving, however, I just couldn't help myself. Little Petals pops up on Yelp as a possibility. I read the reviews and scrolled through the pictures. After looking at the location, I realized it was only an 8-minute drive from where we were. Why not, right? The restaurant is easy to miss. It sits right on the corner in an old shanty building nestled in the middle of downtown Memphis. The furniture and décor were of a standard Chinese eatery, nothing special; but the employees were warm and welcoming, greeting me with hellos and smiles. I got the black pepper chicken that came with a spring roll. I ordered an extra side of pork egg rolls because that's usually my go to. Everything was fantastic! It gives you the taste of that old school Chinese food you used to have as a kid, but better quality. The chicken was moist, flavorful and peppery. The egg rolls had the perfect amount of crispy crunch---they seemed handmade as well! Pricing is a little higher from when I was a kid, but you still won't break the bank here! As I started to think that great Chinese food was not an option for Memphis, Little Petals showed up at the right time and made me a believer!

So, Little Petals, i.e., Petals of a Peony, Jr.: no one was inside. I assume this to be per usual for 2:30pm on a Tuesday. It follows then, that the service was, um, efficient and bespoke. Ordered the pork eggrolls (very good, the sauce that came with it - oddly the perfect amount was given in a little rectangular container - made these delectable) and the General Peony's Chicken. And this was damned good. Pricey for lunch, but I could have made 2 or 3 meals off of it. A satisfying amount of heat from the szcheuan (sp?) peppers; not overly breaded so as to make it a fried dough dish, but rather to carry the sauce on the chicken; the chicken was a quality cut, nicely sized per bite. A new go-to for lunch downtown.

There is plenty of parking in a lot across the street. We went inside and found it to be pretty busy, but we got a table for 4 quickly. The place was clean and homey-feeling and I loved the fact that they used disposable plates, utensils and napkins! It is probably way easier on the crew to clean up, and it adds to the relaxed atmosphere. I had the corn nuggets to start, yum! We finished them easily, they were so good. Then the entree of my chicken tenders, beans, and Mac and cheese came out, along with my sweet tea. The sweet tea was perfect, I drank a whole one during my meal and they gave me another to go in the souvenir Gus's cup. The food was just great, chicken was juicy and perfectly crunchy on the outside. Beans and Mac and cheese, delicious! I ate all of it even though I was stuffed. I even went so far as to order a piece of pecan pie for dessert, but unfortunately our server came back out to tell us they were out of it! Guess it wasn't meant to be (this time)! Our server was really friendly during our whole meal, chatted with us a little and made sure we had a great experience! Bottom line.... Go to Gus's!

The food is dang near trash, the service is trasher!! I've yet to understand how people apply for a job they clearly want and then are horrible at that role!! I NEED servers to understand and hear me CLEARLY, you DO NOT get paid if there are no customers. So next time, you're having a bad day, please go in the restroom and get yourself together and then come back and serve the people with a pleasant attitude AND smile on your face. As far as I'm concerned be an actress for the day if that helps. Came to Sage for a friend's birthday brunch. Sitting was fine as she had reservations. Mind you, we were close to end of closing time (they accepted the reservation) but that's NO EXCUSE for running out of food items. Who's doing inventory? Just asking, or how about send someone to Kroger to get the missing items. People need to learn to be creative and think outside the box vs "we out of erthing". As I was saying, immediately hit us with, "last call for food is at 2:30p and we're out dang near everything". WTF...fine let me order the stuff no one wants. I ordered the shrimp and grits and asked if the tails could be removed. You would have thought I asked for someone to sign the Bill of Rights. A simple, "I'll put that request in with the kitchen" would have sufficed instead of telling me "what they don't normally do". I don't normally tip when I get bad service but yet when you're in large party you have to, so go figure. The Shrimp and grits were BASIC; where's the Gouda cheese (I was told it's a "sauce", NO!! I want to TASTE my cheese). I stuck with water in fear of "we don't have XYZ". Luckily the table company was great because the service nor the food was NOT. Oh I'll add this bit, a guest at the table was told "they were out of French Toast" (mind you it's bread, can the chef cook, asking for a friend). At least two orders of French Toast came out after this notice. . Then they served us plastic ware!!! Have you know anyone to eat S&Gs with plastic ware, not to self, start traveling with my own utensils. I'm all about cleanliness but come on, some dishes deserve proper cutlery. Then two guest arrived later and ordered French Toast. Wait, we thought you were out? Waitress: "Oh the cook made a mistake and you already had paced your order." Excuse, Miss Ma'am, where do they do that? Free Lesson here: come back to the table and notify the guest there was an error and ASK if they'd like to change their order. I promise you that will take your server experience far!! So I say, if you couldn't care less about exceptional service or food, this is your place!!! Just not for me; excuse me for expecting more out of some restaurants (fill in the blank).

This entire restaurant is built on a slight slope, and they did not level the foundation when building out the restaurant, so if you're sitting at your table and the table is aligned north to south, you will see a slight lean to the flooring. Also, if you have any juices on your plate of food, the juices will flow toward Beale Street. I wanted to try their tamales but will have to do it on a subsequent visit. This visit we ordered the bowl of gumbo and the Memphis strip steak which is pre-cut for you. The gumbo is slightly salty but good. The strip steak was really good, filling and cooked to order. I chose new potatoes as my one side. Service here can be a little difficult depending how busy they are and how wild your fellow patrons in the restaurant can be. It took a long time to pay the bill here due to a large party coming in right when we were wanting to pay and our server was attending to them for about 15 mins while we were trying to flag him down. Other than that, we had no other problems. I would happily return the next time I'm in the downtown area and looking for food near Beale Street.
