We were greeted with friendly smiles, offered a book to read as we waited. One! What do you expect at 0043 hours on a Saturday morning. This place is awful. I warned the group I was with (neighbors). After an hour, or so, of garage drinking someone had the really bad idea of driving into town to this dump. I've been here before, just for coffee, at a later hour, in an official capacity, while working. Never ate the food here. Didn't come here to eat. Just to have a cup of terrible java while watching the others chow down on the crap they serve here. I'm middle age and the stomach doesn't handle the splattered, battered, covered, uncovered thing etc..... anymore. You can literally feel the grease in the air in this place. It's just gross. Hopefully no one sparks up a vape pen here, it might literally cause a catastrophic explosion. The two guys working aren't bad people. Just overwhelmed, with seven customers, and one online order. Horrible service , I walked in to place a to go order and I was told they don't do to go orders in person which I know is a lie cause I eat at the one in Durham all the time and I take it to go in the mornings. Stopped by this location Friday night at approximately 12:30ish after visiting 2 others close to a venue where we attended a concert but both of those were extremely busy. We thought this location would be less busy and we could eat sooner. We were both right and wrong. When we arrived there was no one seated inside so we thought we were golden. When we walked in there were 2 employee that were working. As we started to sit down the gentleman behind the counter stopped us and stated that he would not serve us for an hour. I thought they were open 24 hours like the rest of them... guess not. No sign on the door, didn't state why, just kinda looked at us with an I don't care look. Food was alright, I mean it's not a 5 *****, $100 meal resturant. It settled my craving for breakfast at 2 in the afternoon. Staff was nice, but not very acknowledgable. They have a sign that says be nice to the staff that showed up. Well the 9 people that were there, were all carrying on about the thunder that boomed over head, but not one .. not a single one would acknowledge us, for 5 mins .. I timed them. We weren't sitting down or out of the way. Both wearing bright neon shirts and up front. We're they busy? Meh 5 tables with people and all others empty with leftovers on them. They were really busy when we walked in. All the tables were full and the mini bar dining area was too but despite the amount of people in here we were quick to be attended and got our food fairly quick I was expecting a longer wait time on the food this is probably the best Waffle House experience I have had ever. We ordered food for 3 and none of our orders were wrong. Staff was positive the whole time and I understand they were under a lot of stress and trying to get orders out as quick as possible. Food was great as always and our waitress would check up on us even with all the other orders she had going on! This is my favorite Waffle House location for a reason. This place is always hopping, I mean the wait staff and cooks are at a pace every restaurant should strive for. Foods is some of the best of any Waffle House I have been to (and yes I'm sober). If you're looking for fancy brunch, keep moving.. The service at this one was good. We sat at the bar and chit chatted with many of the employees. Our waitress hooked up with the manager's special which was a better value than a similar offering on their menu. My eggs over medium (actually were were over easy), grits, bacon and toast was great. My dining partner had his breakfast sandwich with the hash browns. The hash browns were the best element of all of items. Upon this realization, we also noticed they offer stuffed hash browns which we'll try later. I docked a star because my eggs weren't actually cooked to preference and some of the prep area was messy. There was a ton of waffle batter build up by the waffle presses. I was turned off by this because at some point someone could have found a minute to clean it off and didn't. Made me wonder...what else?? I wouldn't hesitate to come here again though. We paid $15 for two breakfasts with a coffee and an OJ. read more

Our first visit to any Waffle House and it was a great experience thanks to our server, Melany. Wife had the Texas Bacon Egg & Cheese Melt with Hashbrowns ($6.90) and I had the Blueberry Waffle ($3.20). Both were great, but next time I will get the melt as for me it was unique, a toasted sandwich of thick crispy bacon, eggs and melted cheese. The Hashbrowns were also very good. read more

I will always love Waffle House for it's off kilter charm, inexpensive food, all while experiencing a live reality tv experience. You just have to be prepared. Do not go looking for a gourmet breakfast, but you can not beat the awesomeness of a pecan waffle! No syrup or butter needed because the batter is good! The bacon is always well cooked and very cripsy. You also always get a show. This past Saturday at one point the entire waitstaff vanished except for the line cook. She was fantastic and while she managed to cook, she waited on the entire restaurant with a smile on her face! The entire staff quickly returned about 20 minutes later and what do you know but the staff trainer came in about 5 minutes later...go figure. The show came to a screeching halt. read more

I gave it an extra star because the waffles were pretty good. That being said, there seemed to be no one in charge of the cooking line and the line cooks just did what they wanted. The line cook in charge of the eggs cooked a half dozen at once, let them sit and stepped away, still in full view of the customers and chatted on his phone. It took a long time to get service and absolutely not one person I saw working there smiled or seemed happy to be there. It was actually kind of depressing. It is a great concept but the staff has to be trained and someone needs to be in charge. read more

I like waffle house. The food and prices are great values. My Last experience was deal breaker for me and I will not be going back. NOTE TO OWNER - When a customer is standing at the door for 5 minutes waiting for a clean/clear table, just one table, and no other customers are there. Thats a problem. When the same customers that comes in there at least once a week and spends at least $25 per visit or about $1300 a year looks at three employees standing around and not clearing/cleaning a table after and continues to talk among themselves when they all made eye contact with me. Thats a problem. Dont worry I wont be back to be disappointed again. Thanks for the memories I can get my breakfast food elsewhere. read more

I was a customer last night. I cannot say it was a good experience. My waitress, Brandy,was somewhat rude and left to take a cigarette break before she even finished telling the cook my order. Another server was helping the cook, even though they were joking about the fact he had no experience. The only thing that saved my visit was another server, Robin, who actually acted like I mattered as a customer. She was polite and courteous and professional amongst all the chaos. Despite being yelled at by the cook for offering another customer a discount for unsatisfactory conditions she remained professional. Her professionalism in a most unprofessional environment is what will allow me to consciously give this restaurant another chance down the road. One of the worst dining experiences I've had yet. I went with three of my friends and once we walked in the door we were not even greeted and it was extremely loud even though there was only three other customers. The employees were loud and obnoxious and even made fun of us when we ordered water as our drink. Our food came out at different times and three of us ordered waffles and they came out paper thin. They even forgot one of our items and when asking our waitress about it, she said that she had forgotten. Our waitress failed to check in on us at any point during our meal and we sat with our empty plates for ten minutes before one of us got up to get the check from her. To top it off, we had a view of the kitchen and the floors were extremely disgusting and covered in an unknown substance; the workers were sliding around on it. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone and I will certainly not be going back EVER. read more

Nice server the morning I ate here. The food? Expensive on the menu, so there was a whisper of hope that it might be good. It wasn't. Not at all. The hash browns, ordered with tomato and ham, had the scantest remains of a tomato skin tossed on top and no ham at all. The toast was stiff and cold. Thankfully the eggs were edible. Sat at an empty booth that had not been bussed. Someone came and took the tip but did not acknowledge my presence. After 10 plus minutes I got up and left and went to the neighboring Zaxbys.
