    Brisket
    Allan A.

Brisket was tasty, tender accompanied by corn pudding. Like that they offer this as a side. The sandwich was a 3+ as they did not toast the bun as requested and the meat was cold. Have it a4 as the potential is there.

Lunch today at City BBQ in Garner, North Carolina. I'm just going to say that I enjoyed my lunch although it wasn't the best BBQ I've ever had, it wasn't the worst either. My husband absolutely did not like his lunch and will not be going back. The restaurant was clean, friendly service and the portions were great. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Easy parking.

A friend and I drove 30 minutes to eat here; we would not do it again. Not because it is awful; it's not. It is just quite mediocre. My friend had the 3 meat platter (with creamy coleslaw and cornbread) and I had a half rack with fried okra & cornbread. We agree that the cornbread was tasty; he said the creamy coleslaw and the sausage were the best things on the tray. I liked the fried okra. Everything was quite likable ... but nothing was remarkable. Nothing so incredibly unique or delicious that we would drive 30 minutes again for it.

I'm leaving 5 stars not only for the delicious barbecue but also for the amazing customer service from the team on shift at 5pm Sunday (9/21). I had placed a very large order two hours prior, but they ran out of ribs :(. The staff immediately stepped up--offering me either a refund or comparable substitutes, which I went with because I needed to feed an army. Truly appreciated it! I picked up the order and set up a whole spread, and it turned out to be a fan favorite! Everything was flavorful, generous, and served with care. The way the team handled the situation made all the difference, and I'll definitely be ordering again.

The service here was nice. The cashier was friendly and attentive while we ordered and so was the person who gave us our food. The place isn't too loud which allows you to have a nice conversation with the person across from you without having to yell. As for the food, it could he better. We ordered the beef brisket and felt it was missing something. It wasn't the worst sandwich but it did seem a little bit dry. We did love the mac and cheese though, and could definitely return for it. The place could also use some cleaning up, as the floors were dirt and some tables were sticky. I do think the place has potential and could definitely shine with a little work.

The restaurant is very nice on the inside, set up like other bbq restaurants where you order and then pick up at the counter before sitting in the dining room. The service is good, no issues with the ordering or pickup process. The food was ok. The brisket sandwich was good together with some added bbq sauce but a little messy and when I ate a piece of brisket by itself, it was extremely dry and hard to swallow. The Mac and cheese was a little dry as well. I know it was likely baked but there was zero creaminess to it. Overall not horrible, I'll try it again and get something different but not overly impressed with what I got today.

Ordered via ubereats and my food arrived warm & fresh. I enjoyed the smoke turkey as it was seasoned well and to my surprise the Mac & Cheese wasn't bad. Didn't like the hush puppies at all- too greasy.

I was surprised it was actually good. The greens and I think I got some good type of trio. I will go back.

As a San Francisco Bay Area foodie, I'm always looking for my next meal. During an extended work…read moretrip in an area I didn't know well, Logan's Roadhouse in Garner turned out to be exactly what I needed: good old-fashioned meat and potatoes without breaking the bank. I didn't want an enormous steak, so I ordered the teriyaki steak medium rare. It was just the right portion and cooked nicely. The teriyaki glaze wasn't overly sweet, and the grilled pineapple ring added enough acidity to balance everything out. I ate every bite. My server -- whose name I unfortunately didn't save -- was fantastic. Friendly, helpful and full of good recommendations. At his suggestion, I went with the roasted broccoli and a loaded baked potato. Excellent choices. The potato was perfectly done, and the broccoli had great flavor. But can we talk about THE ROLLS? Those glorious, hot, shiny, pillowy yeast rolls arrived with a generous serving of butter, and all of my usual restraint around bread went straight out the window. I normally skip the bread basket because I have only one stomach and prefer to save room for the main event. Not this time. Those rolls were irresistible and easily one of the highlights of the meal. I ordered the New York-style cheesecake to go. My server good-naturedly apologized that dessert choices were limited to cheesecake or a big hot-fudge brownie with ice cream. No apology necessary -- the cheesecake hit the spot. Even better, he thoughtfully packed the strawberry sauce separately so I could add it when I was ready to eat it. A little background I found interesting: Logan's Roadhouse of the Carolinas says it was founded in 1997 by Charles F. "Chuck" McWhorter and his family, with a focus on a limited menu, freshness, quality and value. They say their steaks are hand-cut from USDA Choice Midwestern beef and aged in-house, and those wonderful yeast rolls are made from scratch. They also use North Carolina-grown sweet potatoes. That local connection was a nice discovery. The restaurant itself is casual and comfortable with its own parking, which I appreciated. My only atmosphere complaint: it was COLD inside. Bring a sweater if you run cold! If you're craving something bigger, there are plenty of serious steak options on the menu, including ribeyes and other substantial cuts. I appreciated being able to get a smaller steak, two satisfying sides, attentive service and those dangerously good rolls without turning dinner into an enormous production. If you're in or passing through Garner and find yourself around the busy White Oak shopping area, Logan's Roadhouse is worth considering. Nothing fancy. Just a friendly, affordable, satisfying meal -- and I'd happily go back. Life is too short not to eat well. Get out there and find your next meal.

My sister got the aloha bowl and loved her dish. My mother unfortunately got the soup like me and we both asked for it to be heated back up. 11 minutes later the waitress returns with our soups now piping hot yet turned to complete mush. The toast in the top just disintegrated and the soup was now inedible. We asked that the soups be taken off the bill and we'd find somewhere else to eat. After that it still took another 20 minutes just to get our bill. We spent an hour here and walked out hungry and unsatisfied. I didn't have high hopes for TGIFridays but soup should've been easy. More people arrived by the time we left and it appeared they were severely understaffed. Our waitress had to make drinks, serve other tables, as well as play hostess so I wouldn't even blame it on her. She was nice enough to take the soups off our bill. Needless to say we won't be coming back.

I spoke with Kevin and he mentioned that we were welcome but advised that they were operating on a reduced staff. What's new right?! That's the nature of the beast at most restaurants right now. Anyway he asked that we exercise patience and I said no problem. When we arrived we were told we would have to wait for our server to arrive so we weren't seated at 1130a. We were seated about 1140 at 3 booths and 4 tables put together but all in the same area close to the kitchen. Amena was our server and she quickly came to get our drink orders and appetizers. We ordered the fried green beans. They were hot and tasty when they arrived at the table. Oh I mentioned to Amena we needed separate checks and she said no problem. Shortly after the appetizers those who ordered Salads received them...then entrees started coming. I'm estimating the time seated to the entree was about 40 minutes! For 25 guests that's great in my opinion. To my knowledge everyone received their entree with no issues and I started hearing comments..."this is good..."this is delicious". Impressed that the food was neatly plated and didn't look sloppily thrown on the plates. I don't recall getting a beverage refill or seeing any...but I was too busy eating. Now we're finishing up and Amena without asking is offering takeout containers. Portion size was pretty large for lunch...so several were taking out leftovers. We got our bills and of course that took awhile...but they were accurate and included a service fee...I think 18%. But we all left nice tips for Amena because she did an exceptional job serving 25 guests with very minimal issues. Personally I was not expecting such great service after speaking with the manager. It was a welcomed pleasant surprise. Also we weren't the only guests in the restaurant. We absolutely loved the decor in TGI Friday's. Beautiful warm and festive with nice backdrops and lots to look at. It appeared fresh and clean. Restrooms were nice too. Great visit today! Best server!
