Great I have no complaints. The food was average to be expected. Nothing less overall I'll give it a three star stars maybe four.

Came here today with my mom and sister for lunch and it didn't go well. There were very few people in the restaurant yet it still took 26 minutes for my cup of french onion soup to come out. The cheese on top was melted but the soup itself was room temperature. My sister got the aloha bowl and loved her dish. My mother unfortunately got the soup like me and we both asked for it to be heated back up. 11 minutes later the waitress returns with our soups now piping hot yet turned to complete mush. The toast in the top just disintegrated and the soup was now inedible. We asked that the soups be taken off the bill and we'd find somewhere else to eat. After that it still took another 20 minutes just to get our bill. We spent an hour here and walked out hungry and unsatisfied. I didn't have high hopes for TGIFridays but soup should've been easy. More people arrived by the time we left and it appeared they were severely understaffed. Our waitress had to make drinks, serve other tables, as well as play hostess so I wouldn't even blame it on her. She was nice enough to take the soups off our bill. Our Women's group planned a Friday Brunch for 25 at TGI Friday's in White Oak Garner. I called on Thursday to give Management the heads-up that we were coming. I spoke with Kevin and he mentioned that we were welcome but advised that they were operating on a reduced staff. What's new right?! That's the nature of the beast at most restaurants right now. Anyway he asked that we exercise patience and I said no problem. When we arrived we were told we would have to wait for our server to arrive so we weren't seated at 1130a. We were seated about 1140 at 3 booths and 4 tables put together but all in the same area close to the kitchen. Amena was our server and she quickly came to get our drink orders and appetizers. We ordered the fried green beans. They were hot and tasty when they arrived at the table. Oh I mentioned to Amena we needed separate checks and she said no problem. Shortly after the appetizers those who ordered Salads received them...then entrees started coming. I'm estimating the time seated to the entree was about 40 minutes! For 25 guests that's great in my opinion. To my knowledge everyone received their entree with no issues and I started hearing comments..."this is good..."this is delicious". Impressed that the food was neatly plated and didn't look sloppily thrown on the plates. I don't recall getting a beverage refill or seeing any...but I was too busy eating. Now we're finishing up and Amena without asking is offering takeout containers. Portion size was pretty large for lunch...so several were taking out leftovers. We got our bills and of course that took awhile...but they were accurate and included a service fee...I think 18%. But we all left nice tips for Amena because she did an exceptional job serving 25 guests with very minimal issues. Personally I was not expecting such great service after speaking with the manager. It was a welcomed pleasant surprise. Also we weren't the only guests in the restaurant. We absolutely loved the decor in TGI Friday's. Beautiful warm and festive with nice backdrops and lots to look at. It appeared fresh and clean. Restrooms were nice too. Great visit today! Best server! read more

Went here for a late night dinner. We sat at the bar as there was a few minutes wait at other areas. The bar service was friendly although it was a little slow. I ordered the appetizer trio and everything was very lack luster and basic. The wings were small and not that sauced, they tasted okay. The potato skins hardly had any bacon. The potstickers were really good. The cocktail was pretty good as well and seemed good value. The food here is extremely basic like frozen fast food quality, but the atmosphere seems sort of fun due to the bartender. I probably won't go back anytime soon though as food quality is a huge draw for me when choosing where I dine. read more

My family comes often only because it's close to our house. It has the typical TGI Friday's ambiance. It's pretty clean but could use some TLC in a few places. For example some tables are pretty beat up and worn. Kids menu is very limited. They have always taken off several old favorites from their regular menu. I highly recommend looking up their current menu online before going. The place is usually dead but don't expect anything to go quickly. Service is always slow here. Don't go here if you are on a time crunch or have a large group. My son's broccoli was served in a plastic bag inside a bowl. Seriously? How lazy. Today our visit was worse then usual. The Thai mango salad had way too much pepper. I could barely eat it because the pepper flavor was overpowering. Received my take out order on yesterday evening and it was very delicious ordered the pasta and burgers. We loved it all the sides all seemed very fresh and cooked very well thank you. Came into Garner and wanted to have a great evening dinner around the area and stumble at the TGI Fridays. I sat at the bar where Mr. Tom was the bartender and ordered the pick 3 with the ribs-tenders-shrimps. I cannot get enough on how delicious the ribs were with apple butter bbq glazed that were smoked for over 6-hours. Definitely will come back again for the ribs and most importantly because of the outstanding service that Mr. Tom provided. He ensured that my drinks were full at all times and he did not skip a bit on helping others around him, he is definitely a hard worker! I am giving this place the rating of 5 stars only because of Mr. Tom service and the great food. But I would also like to mention an encounter with a not so great server named Iasia. In my experience tonight, having 20 plus years in the hospitality industry, never have I seen such a bully, stereotypical person in my life. No sense of respect for age, elder, position or a human. I went here with my mom yesterday and it was the worst experience I've ever had. When we got seated the waitress took 30 minutes to come to our table when she was done taking our orders she left, only to come back 12 minutes later saying she forgot half of our order. When she brought out my mom's drink she went to 3 other tables before she brought my drink. That's not even the worst part, I started eating my burger and after to bites I got the biggest chunk of pepper in my mouth it went through my nose and burned my tongue. I took my children to this restaurant as part of our Mommy and Children date night. We didn't have reservations but we were able to get seated right away. We ordered 1 appetizer and 3 pasta entrees. After about 10 minutes of waiting for our food, the server came to inform us that they were out of pasta and it would be another 20 minutes before they could make some more. We had movie plans afterwards, so we were unable to wait for the pasta to be ready. We ordered different entrees instead. My son disliked the sesame chicken dish. It was a little too chewy. Apparently, Friday's is having a hard time pivoting from the covid19 outbreak. First, they went up considerably on their prices which would be fine and dandy if the food complimented the price point. When we first arrived there was a 30 min wait that wasn't an issue being that we drove an hour just to get there. We checked back on the waitlist 30 mins later and was told it would be another 30 mins. Went back inside again and the hostess said 15 mins for a seat at the bar. Ok whatever. Just seat us already. It was getting late. The bartender was running around like a chicken with its head cut off. Literally. She gave us someone else order even tho we were the only party at the bar. I have just visited this tgif, and it's the worst experience I've ever had the lobster tail was rubbery and smelled like 3day old fish, got some microwaved fries and mashed potatoes with cheese that was actually hard(how do you do that). We used to eat here a lot when they first opened up, but we hadn't been in awhile. My daughter and I decided to check them out bc I wanted to redeem some rewards for a free entree. The service and server were good, but the food is the reason for the low rating. As you can see in the pics it was not a pleasant meal. The food was lukewarm, the JD tenders were over cooked, which made them very hard and crunchy, and my entree was just there. Haven't been to a TGI Fridays in YEARS, and was reminded why after I ate. None of this is directed to server, they seated us in the bar area which was packed...with our daughter. The bartender was solo and taking care of everyone there. For starters we ordered the loaded potato twist, when they finally arrived, they were so soggy, event the server was like WTF, I mean, like they were cooked, covered then submerged in water. We sent them back and I guess that also meant, restart the timer on our order as well. They finally arrived and about 15 minutes later, our food did too. I ordered some boneless platter, said right on the menu, 18 boneless or traditional wings. When it came I had ten of what looked like popcorn chicken. I was too over it to say anything. My wifes traditional wings had a strange film over them so of course they were not eaten. The worst part was waiting for the check with an already ticking gut bomb. I love TGI Fridays. This one was nice. My husband and I went for lunch. Its located in the White Oak Shopping Center. There was no crowd and we sat at the bar. I love the cute pub table booths. They are great for couples. We ordered light; water, the combo and a basket of fries. The combo of loaded potato skins, mozzarella sticks and traditional wings. The potato skins were dry and poorly filled but still tasted ok. The mozzarella sticks were crispy on the outside and soft and hot in the inside, awesome! The wings were perfect and the Jack Daniels sauce is amazing. The fries were good and the server was nice. They could use better drink specials! But we will be back. read more

I about fell out of my chair when I was charged over $6 for a pint of Fat Tire, they do not offer any local craft beer options which does not surprise me because it is a chain. I have never had an issue with the food here as it has always been good. So many new restaurants are starting to open in Garner so I do not make it out to TGI Fridays as much any longer but it is a good option every now and then. read more

The establishment was pretty empty since it was 3 pm. The bartender came over and took our drink orders and told us about the specials and then gave us a minute to decide what we wanted to order. The ribs were cooked very well almost fall of the bone and my steak was cooked just how I liked it, medium well and not dried out. My mom decided to visit TGIF for her first time and wanted me to go with her. I decided to give TGIF another chance. We ordered the 2 apps, 2 entrees, 2 desserts special. First, the loaded fries were NOT loaded. It was a small portion of fries in a bowl with lots of heat on the cheese. If bacon was added, it must have been from a mist-gun because it wasn't present on our order. The Buffalo chicken and bacon flatbread were loaded with lots of blue cheese and little else of chicken or bacon. Perhaps the same bacon mist gun was used on the flatbread? The half rack of ribs was perhaps the dryest set of ribs on record. There was no flavor and barely any meat on the bones. We made many jokes at the table to entertain ourselves about how badly the cow must have been treated to be so boney. Lastly, the dessert was the worlds smallest cupcake turned upsidedown and microwaved at 3000 degrees Kelvin served on a HUGE plate giving a David Copperfield experience of how to make something look big. (Fail!) Needless to say, I bit my tongue because of the piss poor experience I recieved in 2000 at this same location. I knew there was a reason I had not been back but decided to give them another chance. Instead of losing a customer, it lost two customers due to poor service, inferior product, and poor quality controls. I highly suggest another establishment if this is what the TGIF brand stands for. read more
