I love the food. It's cheap and delicious and fast. The staff are super friendly and helpful. We love to go here!

I appreciate the Saturday 3pm crew on 06/12/21. I ordered a hash plate with everything on it and it was well worth it! Cheesesteak, burger, chicken, peppers, onions, tomatoes, ham cheese over their hashbrowns was a shareable treat!

Chocolate chip cat waffle! Love it.

This is probably the best Waffle House I've ever been too. We got there around midnight on a Saturday and it was fairly busy. The patrons consisted of a mix of high schoolers and older folks, all ages and races. The restaurant seemed clean and lacked the sketchy feeling many WHs unfortunately tend to have about them. There were three people working: a waitress who was taking orders and greeting folks, a younger guy who was running the register and helping in the kitchen, and the cook, who was KILLING it back there! I watched her while we ate. We took an open seat that was ready to go and were greeted by the server, a warm, friendly young woman who was all smiles and ready to help. We ordered our food and while we waited I watched the magic happen in the kitchen. And seriously, it was like magic indeed. The cook, another young woman, was doing it all, and doing it well! She handled the waffles, the eggs, the meats, efficiently moving from one thing to the next and keeping all the orders going. It took a little longer to get our food than I am used to but I was not upset in the least - it was easy to see she was busting her butt and I am sure that keeping up that pace for any length of time is exhausting, not to mention trying to keep track of where it all goes. And yet, her attitude was pleasant. They seemed to have a well-oiled system. The irony of me saying making that latter comment is that that they forgot to add the jalapeños to my hash browns, but as noted before, there was a lot going on. However, there was no hesitation in fixing my order whatsoever and in a flash the waitress was putting in a new order and had nixed the charge for the incorrect order. She never seemed frustrated about it, either. The food was hot and fresh and delicious. It totally hit the spot after a day of hanging with friends and too much wine. Between the cleanliness, the staff, the food and the non-sketchy vibe, I was very pleased. This will more than likely be my regular WF joint from here on out!

I feel like the cook must've been on a break. We ordered them medium and they came out closer to rare. Because we were in a hurry, we just ate a bit (mostly the outside of the burger) and took the rest for our dogs. The burgers were very flavorful but we just couldn't get past that rawness. We would definitely come in again though and probably order the burgers medium well. It looked like a cool hangout out spot in the evenings for a few beers. When I have come here in the past, I've gotten the Johnny Cash Burger; imagine the width of a Whopper but with a 10oz patty... yum! This time around, I got a plate of their jumbo wings! I got a mix of the Ya-Ya-BBQ and the Lemon-Yaki. The sauce on the wings was fantastic, but the wings themselves were a little too crispy for me. The tator tots, however, were extremely crispy in the best way! My friend enjoyed an item off the brunch menu... the City Slicker Breakfast Bowl. Now this was truly very tasty, but the price for a little breakfast bowl was a little surprising in my opinion. While the food was just average for a bar, the experience was special. The two ladies who served us were friendly and down-to-earth with that true "make yourself at home" southern hospitality. They checked in on us super frequently and ended up giving our table a whole pitcher of sweet tea for free refills (we drank the whole thing). They did a special night at this location where they played exceptional 80s Rock for hours on their stage. The live singers are always so good here... If you live near the Woodstock area and you happen to come by, I would absolutely try and time it to be here during a live music night. You won't regret this experience with some friends!

However, once I realized you could waitlist online, it was a game changer. We got: Biscuit with fried chicken smothered in gravy: The seasoning on the fried chicken is great, and the chicken itself is juicy and perfect. Pair that with their exceptional gravy and a hearty mouthful of biscuit and it's a done deal. It's a HUGE portion, so come hungry or share. Classic breakfast (forgot what it's called but eggs, protein, biscuit, grits): I got my eggs scrambled and these were probably the best scrambled eggs I've ever had outside of my own home. It was just the way I liked them--definitely scrambled, but juicy, flavorful, and soft. The grits were a crowd favorite on our table--super rich and creamy. Smoked ham was salty (as most smoked ham are) but incredible soft and nice to eat. I thought my favorite would be the biscuit (I'm a HUGE biscuit girl) but it actually wasn't as buttery as I thought. It wasn't bad, but I think I'll take the grits over it any day. I can't believe how delicious this place was. All the plates coming out looked amazing (the sweet breakfast items, wow!) and we are definitely coming back to try the rest of the menu. I'd say this is a 4.5 due to the biscuit falling a little flat (not literally because that thing was fluffy!) BUT service was also great so it's bumping up to a 5. We're so happy to find a go-to brunch spot in this area--definitely give it a try!

I was in a bit of a healthy mood so I went with the bacon avocado spinach omelette with a side of cut fruit. It was delicious. Fluffy eggs, perfectly sautéd spinach with some melted pepper lack cheese added just the right amount of spice. That and a side of fresh cut fruit made for a very tasty and enjoyable breakfast. From the Art on the walls, to the chair socks on the feet of the chairs, you knew that care was put into everything. 3. It is truly a family run business as every employee seemed to be connected in one way. The owners, Jeanne and Julie stopped by to ask how we were enjoying our meal, and a quick stop turned into a 10 minute conversation about their history and passion of this business. I had the Pork Belly toast (Braised Pork Belly, Soft Scrambled eggs, arugula, and gochujang mayo on a really good Sourdough toast). Not greasy or gamey, and just large enough to have for lunch. To drink it was the Iced Hojicha Latte. I added some sweetener which balanced out the earthiness of Hojicha. My wife had the OG Bibimbap with Beef and Purple Rice (Purple rice FTW). It too was a great balance of traditional and modern Bibimbap. She had a Citron Tea that warmed the "Heart and Seoul" I can't wait to go back to explore the other items on the menu. Updates to come.

We started with the pimento cheese dip and were both surprised to find that it was served hot along with several pieces of soft, warm bread. It was SO good and a nice change from the way that most other restaurants serve their pimento cheese. Even hubby loved it and he is usually not a fan of cheese. For my main, I ordered the grilled cheese sandwich with tomato soup. I am not exaggerating when I tell you that this is THE BEST MEAL I have had in a really long time. Total comfort food that hit all the right spots on this chilly afternoon. The cheese on the sandwich was just the right amount of ooey gooey and the tomato soup was perfection. I was tempted to lick the bowl when I got to the bottom, but that wouldn't be very dignified while dining out, so I did the next best thing by sopping up the residue with what was left of my sandwich. It was delicious and I will be back for more soon. Hubby ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and said it was the best chicken sandwich he has had. He is hard to please, so between the pimento and sandwich, 1920 achieved the improbable in impressing hubby. Service was impeccable. The main reason we had not come back in a while is because it is a small space and can feel pretty congested when it fills up, which is not the most comfortable. We don't like feeling crowded, but after today's visit, we decided that the limited space is a small price to pay for amazing food and service, so we will undoubtedly return soon. Perhaps we will try sitting outside instead when the weather cooperates. Big thanks to 1920 for starting our new year off on the right foot!
