I just wish that the breakfast food wasn't cold when it finally arrived. It seemed that it set in the pickup line way too long.

The food is unique, clean, well thought out with flavors that interest both the traditional Korean pallette, and those who are looking to dip their toes into the Korean cuisine. The coffee and baked goods weren't too sweet (which is a compliment to the korean baked goods industry) 2. The environment felt personal, thoughtful, and intentional. From the Art on the walls, to the chair socks on the feet of the chairs, you knew that care was put into everything. 3. It is truly a family run business as every employee seemed to be connected in one way. The owners, Jeanne and Julie stopped by to ask how we were enjoying our meal, and a quick stop turned into a 10 minute conversation about their history and passion of this business. I had the Pork Belly toast (Braised Pork Belly, Soft Scrambled eggs, arugula, and gochujang mayo on a really good Sourdough toast). Not greasy or gamey, and just large enough to have for lunch. To drink it was the Iced Hojicha Latte. I added some sweetener which balanced out the earthiness of Hojicha. My wife had the OG Bibimbap with Beef and Purple Rice (Purple rice FTW). It too was a great balance of traditional and modern Bibimbap. She had a Citron Tea that warmed the "Heart and Seoul" I can't wait to go back to explore the other items on the menu. Updates to come.

Love that they take reservations though! The whole restaurant was bright and sharp, with wide windows and clean lines. We were greeted by a friendly hostess and seated immediately. With quite a few groups and pairs there, the noise level wasn't bad at all. The menu was small but had a multitude of delicious sounding, light & fresh items! We both ordered the Special Daily Trio-a salted fish & corn chowder, fish sandwich, & mixed green salad. Price was right on, very nicely presented, & even had enough to take the sandwich home. Service was really great. Timing was good. Will have to point out the overall saltiness of the chowder and sandwich. I look forward to coming back, though, to try more of their menu. Note: there is apparently a nice wine bar connected to the eatery. Will be back on date &/or girls night.

There was live music outside and the patio areas were packed. Where we sat inside though had a few tables open and we were sat right away at 7pm on a Friday night. No complaints there. This is a great place for families and it's super loud inside and out so bring the kids and let them go nuts. I think the let down for me was the food. They are known for their burgers but for some reason I ordered the "Nashville Hot" chicken sandwich. I LOVE this sandwich and if I see it on the menu I tend to order it. I put the name in quotes because this was NOTHING like a Nashville Hot chicken sandwich. This was a fried chicken sandwich with a squeeze of hot sauce and honey. Absolutely horrible. The breading fell off immediately and it was just gross, greasy and slippery. No flavor, no heat. The second disappointment were the onion rings. Greasy, Soggy, mushy, and again, the breading immediately fell off. They were like eating fried spaghetti. The final letdown was the service. Our server was nice when she greeted us, but we saw her maybe once during our meal. Never filled our drinks and she checked on us once during our meal. The food took 45 minutes to come to our table. I am not sure if she was new. Tonight in general was just a bust. On the bright side, my wife said that her meal was good. Lesson learned. Stick to the burgers and fries.

We started with the pimento cheese dip and were both surprised to find that it was served hot along with several pieces of soft, warm bread. It was SO good and a nice change from the way that most other restaurants serve their pimento cheese. Even hubby loved it and he is usually not a fan of cheese. For my main, I ordered the grilled cheese sandwich with tomato soup. I am not exaggerating when I tell you that this is THE BEST MEAL I have had in a really long time. Total comfort food that hit all the right spots on this chilly afternoon. The cheese on the sandwich was just the right amount of ooey gooey and the tomato soup was perfection. I was tempted to lick the bowl when I got to the bottom, but that wouldn't be very dignified while dining out, so I did the next best thing by sopping up the residue with what was left of my sandwich. It was delicious and I will be back for more soon. Hubby ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and said it was the best chicken sandwich he has had. He is hard to please, so between the pimento and sandwich, 1920 achieved the improbable in impressing hubby. Service was impeccable. The main reason we had not come back in a while is because it is a small space and can feel pretty congested when it fills up, which is not the most comfortable. We don't like feeling crowded, but after today's visit, we decided that the limited space is a small price to pay for amazing food and service, so we will undoubtedly return soon. Perhaps we will try sitting outside instead when the weather cooperates. Big thanks to 1920 for starting our new year off on the right foot!

When I have come here in the past, I've gotten the Johnny Cash Burger; imagine the width of a Whopper but with a 10oz patty... yum! This time around, I got a plate of their jumbo wings! I got a mix of the Ya-Ya-BBQ and the Lemon-Yaki. The sauce on the wings was fantastic, but the wings themselves were a little too crispy for me. The tator tots, however, were extremely crispy in the best way! My friend enjoyed an item off the brunch menu... the City Slicker Breakfast Bowl. Now this was truly very tasty, but the price for a little breakfast bowl was a little surprising in my opinion. While the food was just average for a bar, the experience was special. The two ladies who served us were friendly and down-to-earth with that true "make yourself at home" southern hospitality. They checked in on us super frequently and ended up giving our table a whole pitcher of sweet tea for free refills (we drank the whole thing). They did a special night at this location where they played exceptional 80s Rock for hours on their stage. The live singers are always so good here... If you live near the Woodstock area and you happen to come by, I would absolutely try and time it to be here during a live music night. You won't regret this experience with some friends!
