Had a busy day of photo shoots and decided to stop here for lunch in between, and so glad we did! The waitress was super friendly, even went out of her way to clear a larger booth for us so we'd be more comfortable (and we went at a relatively quiet time). I had chicken tenders and a waffle with a side of cheesey grits and it was all outstanding. Spouse had the "midnight heart attack" and raved how much he enjoyed it. He had a side of coleslaw which we both thought was super tasty. It was such a cute little place and we really enjoyed such a nice lunch there. If we were local, we'd probably go here a lot!

EXCELLENT! This is my family's favorite BREAKFAST diner. My personal favorite meal is the Skillet Heap with grilled veggies, eggs sunny side up and a biscuit. My family has been coming to thos location for 8 years. The atmosphere is colorful and definitely "diner" with a nice counter as a seating option. The staff is great including Angie, Juan, Christopher and Jennifer. We highly recommend Thumbs Up in Roswell

Visited the Alpharetta Thumbs up Diner for the first time. I am a frequent customer of the Atlanta location with I love so my expectation high.Unfortunately the experience did not live up to my expectations. It was a nice early morning crowd, but the restaurant was not overly crowded. I seated myself at a single table and waited for my server. He came by and was very courteous and immediately took my order of water and coffee. After perusing the menu, I decided to get a ham and cheese omelette with a side of grits and sourdough toast. My server seemed confused about my order and repeated several times cheddar omelette, and I reiterated yes ham and cheddar omelette. I had a feeling he didn't get my order correct and I was right. The server brought out a cheese omelette with a side of grits and sourdough. I said oh I wanted ham and cheese. His comment was OK. I will get them to put some ham in it. That was not the answer I was expecting, but I said OK. He returned a few minutes later with an omelette with ham in it and cheese and my grits. The grits looked very dense. There was no extra butter, but I dug in. Unfortunately, they were lukewarm and not very tasty. My omelette was warm, but not hot and you could tell that they had just opened the omelette up and threw some ham inside. I continue to dig in and just found the omelette to be only so so. I ate a few of the grits but again they were lukewarm in on appetizing and at that time I was just not in a mood to send it back so I finished my omelette half a slice of sourdough toast, which again was not cold, but definitely not hot. All in all, this was not what I was expecting from this location of the thumbs up diner. I may give it another try later, but if that's the type of service and the type of food preparation that is standard, I won't be visiting this location very often.

TUMBS UP - ROSWELL It's not often that I'm impressed with a restaurant, especially a breakfast/lunch establishment, however, after being disappointed again with Flying Biscuit last week, I searched for another breakfast joint this morning. Thumbs Up is a southern, made-from-scratch, home cooking diner. It's tucked in the plaza with and shares the parking lot with another favorite place of mine, Lucky's Burger & Brew. The food was outstanding. The biscuits are now my favorite in the Alpharetta/Roswell area. Their apple butter/jelly is homemade and their portions are quite healthy in this time of so much shrinkflation. The coffee is excellent and the scrambled eggs were cooked and mixed to perfection (something that several so called breakfast places fail to achieve all too often). And to top off an already great encounter, the wait staff is friendly and efficient. This morning, Jennifer was my waitress. If you do want to try this restaurant, ask for Jennifer! She was there when I needed a coffee warm up and she does not push the uo-sale!! Overall a really pleasant experience!

On Sunday morning my wife and I had breakfast at the Thumbs Up Diner in Roswell. The location was easy to get to and parking was not an issue. Even though it was very busy we were able to get seated right away. My wife ordered scrambled eggs with crispy potatoes and a plain bagel. I ordered their House Specialty Sedona Omelette w/ Chicken sausage, red onions, tomatoes, pepper jack cheese, topped with avocado and paired it with a toasted Sesame Seed Bagel and coffee. The coffee was hot and fresh but overall it was pretty average--I would rate it a 6.5 out of 10. Really great coffee can make a huge difference so I was a little disappointed that with the high ratings for this restaurant that the coffee was not better. My wife let me try some of her crispy potatoes and they were outstanding---fresh, hot, with just the right amount of crisp and perfectly seasoned! My omelette was slightly above average in quality, it was cooked well enough but lacked proper seasoning and really didn't have any wow factor as taste or texture --just a straightforward slightly above average omelette. The sesame bagel was good however they only offered 1 type of jelly to go with it and it would have been nice if they had at least 2 or 3 different kinds to choose from to have with either bagel, biscuit or toast. My wife said her scrambled eggs were good but that she has had much better scrambled eggs at other breakfast places in town. Overall our experience was pleasant but nothing memorable except for the crispy potatoes which were great, but that was only 1 component out of the breakfast so overall I would rate as slightly above average. In my opinion for the price there are many other dining options for breakfast in Atlanta that offer better coffee and better overall food

Good breakfast! Pork chop with eggs were good and grits just right. Very cozy ambiance not too loud and retro booths to eat at circa 1950's. Roswell location very good with service and cleanliness.kip s F off

Best diner I've been to honestly! Angie was our server, she was super sweet and attentive. I had the fried catfish meal, it was amazing! They make their jams in house and the flavors change weekly. The space is quite large with outdoor seating.

The server we had was new and not very good. He didn't write anything down and couldn't remember what we ordered. It over whelmed him when we wanted to order appetizers the same times as our drinks. Our drinks then took 10 min to come out. He was nice just had at his job. The hot chocolate was not good but it was freezing and we needed to warm up. The food was average. Kind of small sizing. I also thought to expensive for the quality. Parking is also awful here.

No powdered sugar. And the French toast was raw in the middle. And barely any syrup as you can see

I finally got to attend this place and always wanted to try it since I moved to the Atlanta area…read more I've heard nothing but great things about it. Needless to say, I was not disappointed. It's a beautiful restaurant inside meaning it's good for a date, a night out with friends or family, or a great place to celebrate for a prom or graduation. It's more upscale than a traditional restaurant however I loved it! I came here with my business coach since I won a competition and the prize was to have lunch at the place of my choice. She ordered the soup of the day, which was like this cheddar soup that came with these two sauces, which one of the sauces was a jalapeño based sauce, which was spicy, but not too spicy to wear it wasn't edible. She did like her soup and she also ordered the lobster and smoked Gouda ravioli for her entrée. She had no complaints considering she bagged the food up to go and wanted to finish it right there, but she couldn't. Lol. I ordered the twin seared chicken, which is actually half a chicken pan seared. My chicken was so delicious! It was tender, juicy, and cooked to perfection to where it was fall off the bone. Just how I like it! The rice and the green beans paired well with it. My rice was cooked well, meaning it was not mushy or hard. And my green beans were a great consistency as well. My little one had a chicken tender salad since she loves cucumbers, onions, tomatoes, pretty much anything that comes in a salad that's not the lettuce. Lol. I must say I was impressed by the size of the salad because it was huge for a child. It would be great as a size salad for an adult. The chicken tenders were an amazing size, bigger than what most restaurants would give especially for a child's plate. I was highly impressed by the size of the portions for the children because the price is pretty standard for a kids meal entrée in comparison to other restaurants that give less. Our service was awesome! I wouldn't expect anything less considering the ambience of the restaurant. Our server was attentive, and he even bagged up both of our meals for us. This place is a 10 out of 10 and yes, I will be frequenting this restaurant a lot more in the future, even if it's by myself to sit at the bar.

Honestly everything about the place is pretty on point, it's an upscale restaraunt with alot of exposed wood, spacious, well thought out originally. The staff has always been corteous and knowledgeable, the menu always a great diversity (main courses, salads, starters - you name it, always slightly original and inspired) Personally though, it's more of a 'bring a date spot' eating in the dining room (cozy setting) and the bar is a dark area. During covid they removed the patio, so there is actually no outdoor seating anymore. I think that's why I most find myself not going there - is the dining and bar areas aren't super to my liking, I like bright and airy feeling venues. But they do have some live music and specials every day during the week that do make it appealing to be here different days otherwise which is brilliant marketing.

Perfect texture because it wasn't too thick to where you can't get anything in the straw like some smoothies and shakes tend to be. Classic combo of chocolate, banana and pb. My husband liked the panini but said the chicken was a little dryer than he'd like but some extra chipotle sauce did the trick. The pasta salad was great. Everything about this place speaks to elevated dining, warm ambience, and personalized service. My server Josh was friendly, personable, and attentive. The food was definitely the highlight of the experience. I ordered The Skylark, their eggs Benedict, with a side of cheese grits, and this may rank as one of the top five best eggs Benedict I've had. First, the cheese grits are so savory and flavorful that I might consider returning simply to have more of the cheese grits. The eggs Benedict itself is plated in an artistic manner, and every bite is packed full of delectable details. From the tender Buttermilk Biscuit base, to the thick cut spiral ham, as well as the perfectly poached egg and some of the richest Hollandaise sauce you may ever try, the Skylark eggs Benedict is a true winner. They forgot the bacon at first, but the moment I mentioned it, they immediately fixed it. And once it came, it was absolutely delicious--sweet-savory in perfect harmony. To celebrate finally finding my way to this café, I treated myself to two drinks. The first was the Maker's Mark Pumpkin Pie Cold Brew, which really delivered on flavor. It features pumpkin-spiced cold brew, graham cracker milk, cream topping, and is garnished with caramel, graham crumbs, and cinnamon. The mix of warm pumpkin spice and crisp cold brew, with the creamy graham milk and a touch of crunch--every sip felt seasonal and satisfying. The second drink was the Pumpkin Brunch Old Fashioned, which I thought was okay, but not great. It's composed of Maker's Mark bourbon, Mr. Black Coffee Liqueur, pumpkin puree, bitters, a coffee ice cube, cinnamon stick, and orange peel. The bourbon was a bit too dominant-- it overpowered the pumpkin puree, and I couldn't really pick up the coffee from the coffee ice cube. Not something I'd order again, but it wasn't terrible. I also sampled the Cookie Dough Pancakes (not a fall special, but on the menu), and those were excellent too--rich, comforting, and indulgent without being over the top. All together, everything came out to less than $70 (including tip). For a fall-menu brunch with two specialty drinks, that felt like solid value. I was told the café had just come off a huge rush, which might explain some imperfections. One thing I noticed, though, was that despite many employees walking around, there was trash on the floor in spots. It would've been nice to see more active floor maintenance to match how well they handled everything else. Still: this is one of the best Broken Egg locations I've visited. Their food, creativity, and service carried through. If I find myself nearby again, I will absolutely go back.
