great, casual place for a late-night breakfast. the waffles are the staple item here. i had the chocolate chip waffle- exactly what i needed for my midnight breakfast craving. they also have breakfast platters with eggs, toast, hashbrowns, and protein. service is quick and staff is friendly, always makes the experience better!

Our waitress wasn't very impressive. She came back to the table confused with who gets what drink. We received two rootbeers, sprite and sweet tea. When it came to refilling our drinks mine was the only one she could remember because it was clear to see what was in the cup; sweet tea. Every time she came to refill she would say, "Coke?" each time my mom and cousin needed their refills for their root beer. When the sprite was empty and not half way full she asked my boyfriend what he was drinking. When the food came out she had no idea who ordered what. She put my boyfriend's breakfast sandwich in front of me and my waffles in front of my cousin. Our food all around was good. We walked away full. Next time we will request another waitress.

Quick service, nice people, noisy diner atmosphere. We had the traditional breakfast and the cheesy eggs and decaf coffee.

The food is hot and fast. Fun staff. Alexis is hands down the best waitress in town and worth her weight in gold there.

I've seen multiple people breast feeding at this establishment. No shame. Just thought fellow patrons should know.

The ambiance was inviting, stylish, and felt like the perfect setting for a weekend experience with friends. The food overall was good. The shrimp and grits were definitely the highlight for me full of flavor and well done. The steak, however, wasn't my favorite and didn't quite hit the mark. The fruit bowl was exactly that fruit in a bowl nothing special but fresh. The banana pudding was delicious and a sweet way to end the meal. The service was a bit inconsistent, which I believe was due to the waitress being very busy. There were a few moments where we waited longer than expected for menus, straws, or even water. While noticeable, it didn't completely take away from the experience and felt more like a staffing issue than a lack of care. Overall, I would absolutely return for brunch with friends. The atmosphere alone makes it worth another visit, and with the right company, it's a great spot to enjoy a relaxed and beautiful brunch experience.

For appetizers, we tried the coconut shrimp, Table tots, spinach dip, and charcuterie. Everything was fantastic except the shrimp, which were a bit overcooked. The rest of the starters were flavorful and well prepared. Most of our group ordered the NY strip since they were out of the filet, while others chose the meatloaf, mushroom pasta, and a few other dishes. Portions were generous and the food was tasty. While the strip wasn't the best I've had, it was cooked perfectly. Dessert was a bit hit or miss. We tried all the pies -- most were decent and nicely presented, though nothing stood out. The salted caramel cheesecake had a grainy texture rather than being smooth. Service was friendly, but a little rushed. Courses came out too quickly, making it hard to enjoy each one before the next arrived. The table became crowded with plates, and the pace felt chaotic at times. The server was kind and seemed possibly overwhelmed. Overall, a good meal with solid food, but pacing and a few execution details could use some attention.

I chose the turkey pot pie as my one entrée and it was the most delicious thing I have eaten in a hot minute. The food at this restaurant is homemade. It's not just some like chef cooking in the back. This stuff is home made. I am a chocolate fanatic. I have never tasted a better chocolate cake in my life. I've been chocolate cakes, and I'm very proud of them. Cooks puts my chocolate cakes to shame. The decor is like being in someone's home. My waitress was amazing. Eat at this restaurant. Once you understand that this is a restaurant founded in 1959, housed in a former two story home originally built in 1951, you may come to appreciate the history and understand the vibe. It is truly amazing that this historic restaurant has survived in 2026. I happen to like the uniqueness and honestylye-feel, as if you're at someone's grandma's house. There is plenty of parking directly behind the restaurant and a small lot in ftont of the restaurant. There's parking along the side too. I enjoy the beautiful plants and flowers surrounding the restaurant. Honestly, they can make for a nice photo on a good day. Upon entering, if it's busy, like on Sunday afternoons, you'll find that you'll receive a little card with a number on it. After waiting and listening for your number to be called, you'll be seated. Check the website before you go... You'll be prepared for the hybrid meal service. Some things are served to you at the table and are not unlimited, like soups and desserts. Some things are self-serve and unlimited, like the old-fashioned salad bar and hot vegetables. A server will hand-carve your choice of meat for you. Just "know-before-you-go" by taking a quick glance at the website. Is it five star food? No. Is it just homey country style cooking? Yes. They serve lunch and dinner. They are supported by generations of locals. Lots of people like to celebrate their birthday here. If you bring at least 3 friends to help you celebrate, you'll dine for free. Contrary to many reviews, I've never experienced or seen rudeness. In fact, I've seen staff taking the time to be friendly to guests. When coming here, you can't be super picky about the food - it's not a five star restaurant. Yes, the green beans may be from a can. It's okay, you'll survive! Enjoy the unique experience!

The food, the service and the quality here is top tier so I'm here to break them down for you. THE FOOD I love knowing we support a local family owned business and also the local farms they buy from. For the quality and care put into the menu, the prices are absolutely more than reasonable. The menu also changes so there are always new things to try including yummy desserts! We've had quite a lot on the menu and a few of our favorites include: the brisket smash burger, the build your own chicken/burger, the Tuscan piggy pasta, onion bahji, the steak bruschetta flatbread, the caprese, chicken and waffles, the third best breakfast sandwich (yes that's the name), the sweet crepes, the Argentinian reds and probably more I can't think of right now. THE SERVICE Everyone here is amazing. I think everyone has waited on us at least once and we always have a wonderful experience. We typically are waited on by Mandi - shout out to her for always being so lovely and accommodating! One time for my graduation, they allowed my fiancé to come in the day prior to set up balloons as a surprise for our table when I walked in. They are always going above and beyond. I often brings out of town friends and family here and they are always impressed. I can't have dairy and will sometimes forget to remove cheese, but they never forget even when I do. They are friendly, attentive and overall amazing. THE ENVIRONMENT You choose a table that is comfortable for where and what you want rather than being seated. It's a casual and comfortable environment, no judgement zone. I've come in wearing a dress and heels after my graduation to celebrate with family, dressed up for New Year's Even dinner and I've also come in wearing sweatpants and t-shirt or workout attire. That's what makes this place great, you can be yourself and enjoy delicious farm to table food. It's always clean and they play great music. You will catch me jamming out while eating my chicken sandwich with the mouth watering aioli on top. CONS Sometimes I crave them on Mondays are they're closed!! :(
