Walked in and there was a manager training a new cashier on how to properly run a transaction, cool cool but ummm don't let a customer overhear how slow it's been and that each person only made 2 50. You being slow on a Sunday when you should've been hoppin for brunch doesn't tend well to a customer's ear. Also, tell employees who are on their last day not to talk about it so loudly from the kitchen that everyone can hear. We don't need to wonder why they're leaving and how high your turn over rate is. My partner ordered an omelet, she stated the only real flavors were the ham and roasted red pepper, that the green pepper was killed and there just wasn't much to it. I had the nachos. While nobody wants to reach the center only to find all the toppings were on top and you only have a plate of chips, they also don't want to reach the bottom only to have a soggy mess. Firm up the chili, get a thicker chip (these broke consistently) and find a happy medium. _______that's about it for this location_____ This review is really more for corporate in Spartanburg, SC than it is for this location directly. Denny's is going downhill and it's sad to watch them grasping for straws. The menu is now primarily breakfast items, this menu had 5 sandwiches, 5 burgers, 2 salads and 7 suppers on this location's menu but only 5 on Denny's official website yet they're open 24hrs which doesn't give a ton of choices. Denny's serving alcohol options?? I'm sorry but who's gonna think hmm I want a drink with supper, oh yeah, Denny's. Their Influencer items is another grasp at straws trying to stay current and the 3 of those don't look super appetizing. Lyon's restaurant in NorCal which is likened to Denny's on it's Wiki was awesome and always packed. They opened in 52 and shut down in 2012. I'm watching Denny's follow suit. In my 20s (1990s) Denny's was THE PLACE to be on Friday nights in NorCal before we headed out to whatever party or club and then again after before heading home. I know this to be true in other places as well from friends and travel. My partner yesterday and I agree, grab a few flavored syrups and Denny's can probably run IHOP into the ground but otherwise this is watching a slow death. I've lived in Spartanburg, there's not a lot going on there and I'd hate to see the HQ go away. Fingers crossed for your Denny's, fingers crossed. read more

I have had good experiences when I dined in. There to go orders and management suck. I am working in a project and didn't want to stop to cook so I just ordered the Bourbon Skillet and cheesecake to go. Door dash screwed up the address and took another 15 minutes to deliver (not Denny's fault). As I ate my meal, the first oiece of chicken was great, the veggies were great and the next piece of chicken was like rubber. It was like biting in my dogs chew toy! Disappointed, I moved on to the cheesecake. The picture showed the cheesecake with strawberries in a glaze. It just came with a few pieces of strawberries raw. I called the restaurant to speak to a manager and was told he couldn't do anything for me because they are a franchise. He said HE DOESN'T eat their chicken because it's rubbery. He said I could call corporate and they MAY do something for me. I spent $29 with delivery for half a decent meal! I will never go back. I will also be contacting corporate and hope the FM of Denny's sees this. You lost a loyal customer. read more

We usually go to the Orange City location. Went this evening, it was great as always. Their nachos are IMO, better than what you find in most Tex-Mex restaurants. My wife had a breakfast meal, all great. Our server, Victor is excellent. We always try to go to his section. Another thing I REALLY like is that it's not stupid loud like so many other places. We have been going there for years and honestly I don't understand some of the negative or at best mediocre reviews, we've always been pleased. read more

We went in as a party of nine. I know that's a lot to coordinate. A good portion of the food was room temperature or below. I love having the Make Your Own Slam. Eggs were very overcooked and pancakes were heavy. Kids loved the chicken and fries and bacon was perfect. Servers were attentive and nice. Not a disaster, but disappointing. Were going to Denneys tomorrow, but will try a different one. read more

I received a birthday meal free, so I decided to have breakast this morning at the Orange City Dennys. I had the value slam and it tasted just "ok" nothing special. The waitress was nice and I got my meal in fair amount of time. The meal was luke warm but it was free so I wasn't going to complain. Less than a hour later I was in the bathroom ! I know darn well I will not go back to this Dennys again. read more

Love Denny's. Tired, long day at office. Plus I watch calories. Went to Denny's at 7 pm, had a glass of Chardonnay and egg white veggie omelette. I said I don't eat bread so they brought a bowl of fresh fruit. I didn't expect this, but there was a small serving of crispy hashbrowns just enough to satisfy me without feeling guilty. This should be the most popular place in town ! read more

Honestly was going to give this place a two star but the server came in last minute with a save. It's a Denny so expect mediocre food and questionable mid night customers lol. Place seems busy all the time and I feel the severs need more help. They seem nice and most time attentive, they did screw up my order this time around but they made up for it. My three star is based on the fact that the place needed to be cleaner and the bathrooms were terrible. My food was okay nothing great and the fact that management needs to hire at least one more server read more

Wow, I am surprised this Denny's doesn't have at least 5 stars especially during the Covid Pandemic. This may be the only restaurant in my area that I would have sit down with my wife and feel safe. First all the staff are wearing facemarks this includes the cooks which you can watch prepare your food at your table. The spacing is excellent when you are seated you are isolated from other tables. Next the traditional disease contaminated menus are gone, They use paper copies that appear to be used only once then thrown away. Ketchup, Hot and Syrup are brought to the table as needed in small one use containers. These guys have it right. Now the food. Even though we qualify for senior menus we order the specials for our Breakfast meal. We normally get the Super Slam and Biscuits and Gravy with coffee, (the coffee is in togo cups). For the two of us our bill is always under $20.00 and you can leave the waitress a 28% tip ($5-$6 bucks). Everyones happy. Will definitely return during the Pandemic. read more

Today I stopped at Denny's while in Orange City with my sister who was on business. We were greeted at the door in a friendly manner. Our server, Cristal was pleasant, knowledgeable and accomodating. We only had an appetizer but it was served promptly and was cooked just right. The restaurant's cleanliness was good. All in all, it was a good experience and I will be back. read more

Ok, Denny's isn't the greatest of places but it's open when I get out of work. I always get the Burger can never go wrong with that. No complaints on the food or the cleanliness both are great but tonight 10-6-22 the cook was blaring curse filled music and cursing along with the music. I'm sorry but nobody wants to listen to music like this when eating out. read more

I love Denny's. I always enjoy their breakfast items, any time of day. It's hard to order a breakfast at Denny's that does not taste good and satisfy. I also like that they have new menu items during the year, so it's never boring. For dinner, my favorite item is the Salmon with Broccoli and Rice or Fresh Sautéed Zucchini & Squash. Very delicious, and healthy, so you don't have to feel bad about eating dessert. ;) They also have some delicious skillet items on their menu. Yum. This location can be a little slow at times, so make sure you have enough time to enjoy your experience. The waiters/waitresses are always very friendly and very helpful, especially if you treat them with respect and are friendly. read more

I mean it's dennys lol if you want amazing food go to a real diner. The three stars is because the waitress made us wait 30-45min to be seated in a completely empty dennys (we went at like 2am so there was only one table of people why she didn't seat us makes zero sense) as we were waiting and it was around the 30min mark she came to us and said "ima go smoke a cigarette real quick because I'm the only one here and haven't taken a break yet" so her and the chef went and smoked outside for the rest of our wait time and then she came in and we were seated 5-10 mins later. I honestly thought the whole thing was funny because what the heck was even that lol we didn't wait long for our food and it wasn't bad. Just interesting service lol read more

Went in for dinner, service absolutely amazing. Our server refilled our drinks every time they got 1/3 of the way down, food came out amazing! Nachos perfect! Topping evenly separated! I had a minor accident at this location and the greeter went above and beyond to help me by calling the police, comforting me and the 87 year old passenger in my car and offering us whatever help we needed! After the tow truck got my car we enjoyed a very good breakfast. read more

I feel this place is barely tolerable. I ride with a biking group every week and we wanted to eat there - they were slow to seat us and the food was terrible. The burgers look great on the menu but when you get them they are barely edible. They are thinner than Mcdonalds and the barely give you any fries for a $12 burger. I also witnessed the staff arguing in the kitchen and the place is less than clean. Overall I avoid this place unless its an emergency ! read more

Our server was a nice young man but we were so disappointed in the over all experience! 4 out of 5 guests were served in a timely manner. (We had to wait for silverware and condiments) My sister had to wait twenty five extra minutes ... for a salad...of all things! They ran out of lettuce and literally went to the store to purchase groceries. Although, it was a kind gesture to go get it we would have preferred the option to order something else and get her food sooner. read more

Horrible horrible service. Ordered delivery through the dennys website and they got the order all wrong and missed items. Called to get a refund and I have to go into the store if I want a refund but they sure as hell have no problem taking my money without me being in the store and the "manager" was fighting over every little detail on the phone telling me I was wrong. I will be disputing this charge and getting my money back without having to step into the store but maybe have some respect when speaking to people in the future. read more

So it's a solid 4/5 from us -- the mimosas and company made it a great morning, and most of the food was a hit. My breakfast just could have been a little better. Still a fun spot and we'd come back!

Certainly so, and hospitality was really very high, so far as chains go. So there's that. We got the triple dipper just because (they got me) and it was good enough. That QP mock Quarter Pounder with cheese was actually better than the genuine article but lunch was a bit much. Was fun enjoying ourselves revisiting them for old time's sake. RIP the old chicken crispers; fat, plump, doughy ones. Those were gooood :)

They're willing to live with only one waitress on an at capacity floor without the management helping out themselves or calling for help; seen this happen multiple times when they really needed help lasting hours. Wears the server ragged and causes all kinds of unnecessary aggro. Ruins the energy of the place and kills my mojo ...as if I had any but whatever. It's can be a real mess. Lost orders, argumentative waitresses, and customers free to door dash. Why wait over thirty minutes for a check? Would never come for the food alone. I'm here only as a consequence to playing the parimutuels and that's that and when I see they're busy, I know they're going to suck.
