[[HIGHLIGHT]]We love hanging out at hyderhead.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Can't believe I've not yet written a review. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We enjoy meeting different people and visiting with them[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]], and sometimes have the pretzel or the Mac and steak.

Super friendly service with a great selection of beer. We had the pretzel, sausage and steak mac and cheese. We had a great time! Will definitely return!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Pretty cool brewery. Small but nice[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. They make a lot of different beers and some good food choices. Big parking area right across the street, and it is free! After a beer check out all the shops in Downtown DeLand..!

Something about this place that just makes you want to stay the whole day. It's comfy, lots of decorations to look at, has family history and their brews are all homemade in-house by the owner himself. We got two rounds of their German lager and it was delicious. We also got a four Scottish whiskey sample which I forgot most of the names, but remembered the specific Paddy's one. This one was so good that we asked our server where we can buy this in Florida. I've been to Scotland before so coming here was like reliving my best memories in Europe. Strong drinks and friendly people. I love it here!

This isn't my first time visiting & I only have good things to say about this micro-brewery. Love the ambiance, service, drinks & food. It has a Scottish theme & the owner is always around to talk to you. I went after the Friday Artisan Alley farmers market and the place was packed! There was live music, people dancing & good drinks. They just got their liquor license so not only do they serve beer, they have REFRESHING sangria (Which is what I ordered) spirits and cocktails. So if you're not too keen for a beer, they got something for everyone! They have seating inside and outside, pet friendly & 2 bathrooms. They have food too. I tried their steak mac & cheese. It was DELICIOUS. My friend had the pretzel. Great portion sizes for the price. Will definitely be back!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]There is not a lot authentic places around volusia, at least not that i know about, regardless this is the cutest brewery I've visited so far.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have a very unique and interesting selection, some of the beers are brewed in the establishment (if not all) and their hops are imported from Europe! In my books that's a win for sure, their food is definitely authentic Scottish cuisine, not necessarily the most delicious for however definitely authentic and completes the experience. I've also tried their cider, and it was great! Not too sweet, which is a definite plus compared to commercially available ones. Service is great, we were checked on couple of times but not much, bartender made sure he is available if we need him. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Additionally the walls are decorated in bunch of meaningful decor, mostly Scottish, And it makes you feel like you stepped into the highlands![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Unique experience-will definitely come back!

I met some people here for a work meeting turned into a great experience! The owner was there and spoke with us about the story of his family. Recipes are passed down from earlier generations. The beer is brewed using oats for the hops, which started during Prohibition! And he had traditional Haggis, which I've never seen or heard of before! Then we got to taste their Belgian Tripel, which was just finishing up and has a touch of Anise in it! AMAZING BREWERY!

    Puffin Porter

The BEST beer I've had in ages. My sister got the hyder cider and I got the Puffin Porter. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great atmosphere too![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

It didn't impress me much You know that taste when a brewery is just getting started? We'll, the Frontal Load IPA was just that taste but almost there. Just not the depth of flavor quite yet. I was going to do only 3 stars but I can tell they're almost there and working hard to perfect their craft. I'll check them out again next time I'm in town.

ABSOLUTELY a must visit!!! The owner is the most genuine, kind hearted man you will meet. He is extremely proud of his work. And it shows in his brews. We never tried any of the food as we usually just come here for the drinks. The place itself is like you have walked into scottland itself. From the decor to the music choice, hyderhead brewery just transforms you to further elevate your experience. Such a cool gem!

Niche brewery in DeLand just down the street from Persimmon Hollow. The interior is chill, and definitely pays homage to the Scottish heritage. I ordered a flight of the Caber Toss Pale Ale, Sheaf Toss Rye Ale, Heavy Vixen Hefeweizen, and the Vader Toss Wee Heavy Scottish Ale. My favorite was the Vader Toss, a good malty beer. The Rye was waaaaay heavy on the rye and anything more than the 5 oz. taster would have been tough for me to finish. But, overall, the beers were tasty, and I'd definitely hit this place up when I'm in DeLand.

Great place. A definitive stop when you are in deland or traveling the backroads of Florida. Scottish themed, small batch beers with a handful of mixed drinks. Scottish-themed is an understatement

Update!! Finally…read moreback home in New Mexico and I was just talking about the pub to someone, and the same thing kept coming up - the barmaid, Tracey. I think in all, my wife, goat and myself went to the pub 4 times and for three of those times, tracey was working. Tracey has an enviable skill to be able to blur the line of staff and customer. She makes everyone she meets a friend she just doesn't know yet and put them in a truly british pub comfortable vibe. There was one incident where my wife had to return her food as it wasn't done properly, and Tracey jumped on it immediately and made sure to put it right in the kitchen. I feel like Tracey and I connected almost immediately and as much as I might sound bias, I am trying to remain as impartial as I can. Tracey might not be the face and the glitter of the pub but her hard working mindset and smile sure is the backbone in my opinion. She rarely stops as she is so dedicated to her work and her customers. She's a true asset to the place and if the pub is smart, they will keep her on staff for many years to come.

I had toast, beans, sausage, and sunny side up eggs. A staple British breakfast that instantly brought me back to my trip. My husband had the sausage gravy with green peas and mashed potatoes, and everything was flavorful, comforting, and cooked perfectly. The atmosphere really added to the experience and made it feel like a cozy local pub you'd find in the UK. The service was fantastic. If you're craving authentic British-style comfort food, this spot is definitely worth trying.

Harp & Celt may lack in the parking lot aspect, but it MORE than makes up for it in flavor, service, and atmosphere! There are two sides to H&C, one a bit more of a lively bar scene, and the other a more laid back pub vibe. Both have great seating and a fully stocked bar with access to some of the most delicious food around. We started with the pretzel sticks and fries with gravy and they both came out super fast and the gravy is beyond words good! One warning, it is piping hot so be careful! Haha The shepherd's pie has a fantastic mince with creamy and crispy topped mashed potatoes that feels like a warm hug in your stomach. The fish and chips are light, excellently crispy, and ridiculously fresh tasting. Add a little malt vinegar for a little zing and you've got a brilliant meal! Tack on a cold Manger's cider from the bar and you could be in any pub in Ireland. When there is a soccer game happening they've got the televisions dialed right in so you don't miss a minute of action, and you can even challenge your friends to a game of darts if you've got the skill!

We have been getting pies to cook at home for years from this place. So delicious and a staple in our house! When we heard new owners had taken over we were worried but were assured it was all the same recipes and would be exactly the same. Because it is quite far away we stocked up, spending over $200 to fill the freezer with our favorite pies. Since then we have sampled 5 different flavors and can say that they 100% are not the same. Not the pastry and definitely not the fillings. Just so disappointed. They are soupy and every chicken type pie is gristly hunks of meat, very little white meat and just gross. The ground beef and onion had zero flavor, no seasoning what so ever. I would not have reviewed if they had not assured me that they were the same as was under the old owners. They arent. Not even close. So after a good 10 years since we first found the proper pie company over by posner we wont be back. Id love to think that they will improve but i dont believe they will. Such a shame but thankfully we go to the uk often enough to get a real pie once in awhile.

This place has such a unique, eclectic energy that's hard to find anywhere else: a perfect mix of cozy indoor bar, open-air courtyard with string lights and a massive lighted oak tree that gives it this magical, almost enchanted garden feel at night. It's got that laid-back, artsy DeLand charm but with enough edge to keep things exciting--think market lights twinkling overhead, pool tables outside, and a crowd that's always friendly and ready to have fun. The live music is what really sets it apart. They host original local bands, cover acts, rock, pop, R&B, throwback tunes, and everything in between almost every night--concerts start around 9 PM, and the energy ramps up fast. I've seen everything from killer rock bands to dance-floor fillers that get the whole place moving. And yes, people actually dance here! The courtyard turns into a real dance floor on busy nights--whether it's grooving to 70s classics, current hits, or feel-good empowerment anthems, it's impossible not to get pulled in. No stiff vibes; it's all about letting loose and enjoying the moment. The drinks are strong, reasonably priced (coldest beer in town, as they claim), and the bar staff is top-notch--super friendly, quick, attentive, and genuinely nice. Bartenders like Zach and the rest of the crew remember faces, crack jokes, make killer cocktails, and keep the good times flowing without ever making you feel rushed. The owner and team create this welcoming atmosphere where everyone feels like a regular, even on your first visit. Whether you're coming solo to catch a show, with friends for a night out, or just want a spot to chill with great music in the background, Cafe DaVinci delivers. It's more than a bar--it's DeLand's best original live music venue where you can drink local, dance local, and make memories. If you're in the area, especially on a Friday or Saturday, do yourself a favor and stop by. You won't regret it--I've recommended it to everyone I know, and they all come back raving.
