My hubby and I started going every Sunday morning and we have had a few varied experiences with the food. Most weekends it's good. We have only and I would say two visits that were not great, they weren't terrible but not great. I think it really depends on who is working the grill. Overall though, it's been good food. The worst Waffle House experience I've had. The eggs like cardboard. Waffle like dough...raw bacon..toast only "toasted" 10 seconds at best. NO EXAGGERATION. There needs to be serious training. Girl who was cooking clearly overwhelmed. Too many people in this business at 8 AM in the morning with only one person on the grill. I would give the waitress 5 stars because she knew how to make her customers feel special. Cleanliness was pretty good too but since we stopped for food, I would say 3. I ordered waffles, plain waffles and asked them to make it crispy and they gave me pappad - in English- it was like a salty serrated thin wafer roasted almost dark brown. First off, cold as a snowstorm but one of the best crew I had the pleasure of dealing with. Our Server John was very formal and had a genuine feeling of wanting to serve at his best. A really kind person who treated me and my family with the respect all servers should give customers. Our cook Fru was a chill and extremely kind person with the ability to cook the food to what I would call perfection. I'm comparing waffles house to it's other waffle houses. I grew up loving Waffle House and I get the exact same dish my whole life. Well, I think they were in the middle of a shift change because there were 10 people at the front, no one said hello (hardly anyone was there - one other guy) and I sat for 5 mins before the boss came to the front asking who had section one. Hello, 10 people couldn't figure out to say hi to a customer? After that the waitress was kind. On to the meal. Talk about grease pit. That's NOT the normal Waffle House. Usually the eggs are supper fluffy and NOT greasy. Ick you can see the pictures. I asked for the Browns to be scattered and covered. The crispy of the scattered wasn't there. However, I did have a ton of oil! Really not appetizing and very sad to say it. This Waffle House is a -- no go for me. OMG- I went to pay and the guy checked me out has soaking WET hands. I live in an area with like 3 waffle houses down the street, and I drive up to conroe 40 minutes out of my way to come to this location whenever my fiancé and I are craving waffle house. the staff here is so kind and genuine and You can tell their customers are regulars by the way they greet each other, which is top proof that their customers come back for a reason. the food here is amazing as well. never fails to disappoint. my fiancé LOVES the steak and eggs from here. likewise I LOVE the waffles from here. their toast and bacon also are delicious. definitely recommend this location and can't wait to be back soon read more

Went here the other night as we were 1250 miles from home. Dad was with an never experienced the Waffle House. The guy who took our order was nice. Did the steak and eggs with the hashbrowns. It wasn't bad. Steak was thin but for the price who cares. It's like 1987 vegas pricing. Only thing I could bioch about is they were washing the kitchen down in front of us and we got to see all the schit mess that would make most people vomit. Do that when no one is around. Yes, I'm giving a Waffle House location a five-star review. In this instance, it's not necessarily the food, but rather the staff and level of efficiency. While traveling back home (North Texas) from a cruise, we stopped by the Conroe (Loop) location. We are accustomed to seeing two employees at the locations in the Denton area, but counted EIGHT at this one. One was cooking, another doing dishes, and others doing an assortment of tasks. This ensured that no backlogs took place. When asking about it, we were told that the location is used from time to time to pull staff from to help fill gaps elsewhere, a testament to the Conroe Loop leadership! read more

A Waffle House is a Waffle House and this one is more-or-less typical, but I must say that it is clean and staff (on all 3 of our visits to date) are always both prompt and friendly. Perhaps I am weird (my daughter often says I am :( ) but I have never had a waffle at the Waffle House since I am a waffle snob and only want REAL Belgian Waffles and I am picky about them too!! I always order the same thing - steak and eggs, steak medium, eggs over easy with hash browns and then either wheat toast or (last night cinnamon raisin toast) - all for less than $10 and steak sauce at the ready. The coffee (bottomless) is decent and now they have Splenda not just Sweet and Low (nasty) I am a truly happy camper.
