Filthy floor ... this was after they took the bag of trash out finally.

I was wanting a waffle and didn't want to drive to Fort Worth for IHOP. When I walked in I noticed every counter top was dirty and had dirty dishes on it. I went to the far side and sat down and waitress cleaned off counter (well wiped it off anyway-wasn't very clean). My knife was dirty so I asked for another one which I got. Then I looked into the food prep area and the floor was filthy. Big trash bag sitting in middle of the floor and floor was disgusting. Waitress almost tripped over the trash bag. There was plenty of opportunity for someone to take 2 minutes to sweep the floor. Even the cook stopped and said "it looks like a bomb went off in here" and kept on moving. Service was good, staff was awesome, and food was good (except I had to send back my waffle because it wasn't cooked all the way). More attention needs to be paid to cleanliness.

Ham with soft scrambled eggs, double hash browns, toast and coffee. $10.50 including tax.

Wanted breakfast for dinner but didn't want to cook so I opted for WH. I had not been to any location for over twenty years. Hoping it would be as good as remembered, I was not disappointed. They currently have a limited menu so I couldn't get the country ham. I did get the two egg breakfast, eggs soft scrambled, with ham and double hash browns. The eggs were cooked perfectly, ham was smokey and sweet, hash browns were crispy outside and soft inside. Their coffee is great. Service was excellent. Julie and Cat do a great job of working together and treating their customers with courtesy and kindness. I'll be back and it won't be twenty years.

My best friends visited and we had a great Fort Worth weekend. We wanted to avoid dressing up or eating a fancy brunch when Sunday rolled around. They were curious about Benbrook and just wanted a no-frills breakfast with the locals. Waffle House was the best choice. For one, the menu offers a variety of options, but it's a small menu, just the classics. We chose the classic eggs, toast, and grits breakfast. What sets this Waffle House apart is the staff's quality service, polite guests, and great music from the jukebox in the corner. When we arrived at 9 AM, Hozier's Take Me To Church was on, and by the time we left, the staff DJs had run through Anita Baker, Queen, and The Commodores. Fortunately, our bill came when the kid in the corner played Barbie Girl. There is ample parking at The Waffle House, but the restaurant is small, so when you get there, sit down at one of the stools and wait for the staff to greet you and put you on the list. Expect a 30-minute wait on Sunday morning.

    Short order greatness

I've had to cut back on my visits, due to the lack of healthy options. That said, great please for a short order breakfast (no fruit!). The food is cooked on point 99/100 times. The service is usually spot on classic, southern Waffle House courteous attitude. I've had a couple situations were a waitress made it clear her social time with co- workers is more important then her tip. This Waffle House is above average.

Y'all know what it is...Waffle House. Open 24/7 the true truck stop breakfast place. Don't come if you want a amazing environment. This place isn't that clean...it's almost like they know and don't care. It's pretty small and they fail to keep it clean. This is where I come when I don't want to get ready. When I'm hung over and need a quick cheap breakfast. I don't expect much...however the food is always pretty good.

Every time my cup was empty they magically appeared to fill it. They just showed up right at the time I needed something but did not ask about my mom and then which I greatly appreciated. We had the bacon cheddar fries and they came with ranch and chipotle ranch both made in house and they were great! Chipotle ranch has a little kick but we both liked it. My wife got the Ragin Cajun Club and could only eat 1/4 of it because of the abundant portion sizes. She also got onion rings that went great with the ranch. I got the Cajun Pork Chop and it might have been the greatest dish I've ever eaten. It's served on a helping of the cheddar grits with andouille gravy and creole fried eggs. It's like an explosion of savory Cajun goodness with every bite. The right amount of spice. Runny yokes with the gravy and grits and a bite of lightly breaded pork chop. If I have to complaint jts that it's a bone in pork chop. But as you can see from the picture I all but gnawed the bone.

Eclectic decor - festive Christmas ornaments hanging from ceiling likely year round. Appeared to be several tables of regulars. Very friendly staff. We were immediately greeted and told to sit any where we liked. Great service from our waitress Pinky. Extremely reasonable prices and large portions. Omelettes (3 eggs) are their specialty. They also have a couple homemade bread options- we loved their white bread & raisin bread! We both got the ham, spinach & black olives omelettes with home fries and 2 slices of their delicious homemade bread ($10.99 per plate) Maybe 5 minute wait before we got our food. The food could have used an extra minute or two. Middle part of the omelette was a little runnier than I prefer but I just brought that portion home as leftovers. Would prefer the spinach diced or at least torn into smaller pieces. The home fries are good but only crisp on one side of the potato and several of my chunks weren't crisp at all- but they were soft - so I brought those pieces home and will crisp up in skillet before eating. I never add salt when eating out but I did have to add some salt and pepper to the potatoes. (I eat them without ketchup or any sauce). Menu has so many options and something for everyone. We will go back. Maybe share something or be prepared to bring half home again.

I wish I had texted or written the name of the server on paper to ensure she knows what a marvelous job she did. I ordered a meat omelet with hash browns. The omelet and hash browns tasted freshly made. I loved how the hash browns were cooked, they were cooked to perfection, and they weren't burnt like many other places. The omelet was so good, especially with some Cholula sauce. 10/10 My boy had a pancake, sausage, and eggs. He seemed to like his food. My friend enjoyed her food as well. The space is cozy, which is a polite way of saying it is not built for large groups or people who like personal space. The wait can be substantial, and the indoor holding area is limited, if the weather is doing something dramatic, you'll want to know that before you commit. The real secret, which I discovered the hard way, is that you can join the waitlist online before you even leave the house. Life-changing information that arrived too late for us. Learn from my mistakes. Once seated, the coffee is hot, the iced tea is fresh, a surprisingly rare achievement at breakfast hours, and the menu has enough options to cause genuine decision paralysis. We ordered two Traditional Breakfasts, both over easy eggs, both crispy bacon. One arrived cooked to absolute perfection, eggs exactly as requested, bacon doing exactly what bacon is supposed to do. The other arrived with eggs cooked firmly over hard. Same table, same order, same server. How does this happen? It is one of breakfast's great unsolved mysteries. The breakfast potatoes, meanwhile, showed promise, well seasoned and flavorful, but arrived in a mixed state of doneness that required careful excavation to find the fully cooked ones. It was less of a side dish and more of an archaeological dig. The third order, the Tri-Fecta, came with a multigrain pancake the size of a small continent, which almost made up for the potato situation. And then there was the Million Dollar Bacon. We didn't order it. The table next to us did. I watched it arrive and I am still not over it. Order the Million Dollar Bacon. Do not make my mistake. Do not be me. First Watch is a solid breakfast spot with real upside, get on the waitlist before you leave home, order the bacon, and maybe double-check your eggs before your server walks away.
