Lunch strip steak and fries

Hoffbrau is a great everyday steakhouse. The ambiance is a Texan Steakhouse, open, high ceilings, lots of wood. The service is great. Today our server was training someone, and she was kind and patient, while making sure all the correct questions were asked. The food was delicious, everyone enjoyed what they ordered. Overall, it's a family favorite and we will be back.

Had dinner with the family to celebrate the father n laws birthday. Appetizers were fried pickles, shiner bock fried mushrooms, Aaron's famous brau chips and Texas Pesos (jalapeños). Me and my son ordered the Texas Two Step (Two top sirloin steaks served on bed of grilled onions, topped with fried onion strings) for my two sides, I had the house salad with ranch and the sweet potato fries. Services was beyond perfect and the restaurant vibe was lowkey quiet and not too loud.

Ate here one other time and knew I would get the same level of service and delicious food as before. Our server was wonderful! We were not in any hurry but were never ignored. Our server checked on us at the appropriate times and was never a bother. First was an appetizer of onion rings. They were the string kind, which were okay. Then I ordered the spicy chicken fried steak. Yes, it was both heat and spicy hot. Be prepared! To my pleasant surprise, I never had to ask for a water refill. (Due to health reasons, my doctor insists on lots of water consumption.) For dessert, I had the cherry cobbler. Everything came out in a timely manner. By the way, the CFS was part of the lunch special. It came with a side salad and one side, and I chose the three-cheese macaroni and cheese. (Temperature was a little lukewarm but delicious nonetheless.) overall, my friend and I had a great experience in eating here. The premises were also clean and well maintained. Check it out!

Happy New Year! What a treat! Happen to be out running errands and YELPED good steaks near us and this wonderful Restaurant came up. What a great way to kick off the new year. Absolutely amazing service and food. Let me start with the bread....sooo good and fresh! I ordered a Bone in Rib-eye, medium. Side ordered of Pan Seared Shrimp, grilled corn on the cob and a baked potato. The shrimp were seasoned to pure perfection. Devine. The steak was cooked perfectly and tender. The corn on the cob was sooo good and potato was cooked perfectly. My sis had the NY Strip and it wonderful. She just kept bragging. Her salad was equally as good and like me loved the corn. To kick off the new year they were serving lil cups of black eye peas and boy oh boy were they tasty. YUM. Talk about luck. Our waitress, Taylor was super attentive and so sweet.

Evening out with friends for dinner and decided to try Hoffbrau again. It's a nice restaurant with an inviting interior and they were fairly busy when we arrived. We were seated promptly and server checked with us promptly. She was efficient and attentive throughout the meal. Even with them being busy, food was served with very little waiting. Food was good. Fresh salads, good appetizers, tasty steak and burger were cooked correctly, the grilled chicken was good, and so was the revolver chicken fried steak. Just a heads up, the revolver jalapeño gravy is not subtle. It has a definite kick. The jalapeños a friend added to his burger were so hot he ended up scraping them off. My only complaint is the table size for 4 people. To be fair, we had two appetizers, adult beverages and waters, along with our salads and entrees. We were constantly juggling dishes and stacking things to make room just to fit everything on our table. This meal overall was a solid 4 stars with the steak and maybe the chicken being 5 stars. So, I wish I could give 4.5 stars. However, it was such an improvement over the last meal I reviewed from them that I'm giving them kudos for showing me that tonight they were a really good place to eat. So, 5 stars for today's dinner.

Feels like a neighborhood eatery. I wasn't expecting much from this place, but it's actually a really good spot to eat when you don't know where to eat. I had the country fried steak (the revolver) and my husband had the smoked sirloin. Both were really good, dare I say that the sirloin was better here than at H3. The server forgot some things, like my lemon in my water and ranch, but these are just small things. No big deal. The host was super polite. He was arranging tables and seats for a larger party next to our table. He literally sat at the seat closest to me just to make sure that person would have enough room and I would have enough room. He even asked if it would bother me if the seat was positioned this way. The seat wasn't close at all, but he was so considerate of my space. Highly recommend this place! So much so that we went here twice in a row.

I'm a longtime lover of Hoffbrau Steaks but this was my first time at the Benbrook location. It was so nice! Servers were helpful and kind. The space is airy but comfy and clean. Same great food I've always counted on. My husband and I split a sirloin and it's just so much tasty food!! And of course had to get brau chips. Best appetizer!

When we walked inside it was so beautiful, there were antique style wood walls that separated sections of tables that made the restaurant feel much more private and dampened the sound that carries across the restaurant. It was beautiful. The service was top notch all the way through with excellent recommendations. Best coffee martini I've had jn YEARS! The menu made it hard to decide, but the waitress came to the rescue recommending the elk backstrap which I ordered rare and it was PERFECT!!! We tried the brisket Mac and cheese to share and it was also amazing with a hint of spice in the cheese sauce. My only critique of the whole night was that the cheese sauce was a bit thin and didn't coat the noodles very well, but I kept stirring it and it was okay. The brisket on top was super tender and flavorful. Hubby got the mixed grill and I had a little bite of each thing, all of which were amazing, especially the bison filet. Everything was perfectly seasoned. We finished up with the Creme brulee and the strawberry rhubarb cobbler. The cobbler was absolutely incredible with the crispy edges. It was a total flavor bomb! Prices were really reasonable for a nice dinner. I can't wait to come back to DFW just to visit Bonnell's again so I can try the lamb this time. A+++ just wish I had my phone to snap some photos! Ain't no rich like Texas rich all dinin' under two stories of drippin' wealth. It's like Gene Autry bought the Will Rogers Ranch and Dale Evans did the interior decoratin'. Thankfully, you don't have to compete with a loop a Brooks and Dunn at concert volume. The Dining Room is definitley conducive to closing that oil and gas lease deal, takin' a knee and proposing or at least makin' a proposition. Just look at who's in the booth yonder. Angela and Ainsley Norris from Landman along with a bevy of beauties that Father Time hadn't got around to yet. The Staff: An army of Bussers, Runners, and Servers plus several roaming Somms all roundin' up your vittles from a bustling kitchen crankin' out creative dishes worthy of Oil Tycoons and Cattle Ranchers with acreage large enough to be the 51st State. Hudson ran his section like a polite trail boss if there is such a thing. That young man tended to his guests every whim along with making suggestions as needed with confidence and sincerity. He wanted all his patrons to truly enjoy the entire dining experience. He accomplished that with humor and a handle on everything the Kitchen presented on the classy menu. This is what a seafood lover loves to dream about. A Fancy Caesar followed right behind. The Salad had Seasonal Bitter Greens chopped to bite size and laced generously with Toasted Sesame Dressing and a Black Sesame Rice Cracker instead of soggy Croutons. Yep, it was damn fancy and delicious. Time for Chorizo Corn Fritters. Why? Never seen it before so I had to have one or three. Glad I did. There were pretty as a photo shopped Graduation Pic. They came with Spicy Avocado Creme, Smoked Paprika Aioli, and Jalapeno Coins for a kick and some clogged arteries. Hey, it was so good it's was worth a stent or two. Finally, the Halibut Fish Fry came with Nori Hushpuppies, Sweet/Spicy Cucumber Coins, and Kimchee Tartar Sauce. They should offer this by the bucket. The Fish was delicate with just enough time in the sautee pan to remain juicy, flakey and translucent. It was magic. My dinner eclipsed any thoughts about Dessert, so I'll just have to spur the pony and return quick as I can.
