Ordered an all star breakfast Pecan waffle arrived 4 minutes later. 5 minutes later the eggs grits and toast 4 minutes later sausage showed up Milk - well it never showed up. I've eaten at enough waffle houses to know orders are staggered in to the customer. But this was the absolute worst And to top it off there were exactly 14 other people most already eating when i came in. 100% unacceptable. I just paid and left the cold waffle the cold eggs with the sizzling sausage and starting to remember why Waffle House is no longer my go to. Too many options for Waffle House to be like this. Okay. Maybe I'm a weirdo northerner. I just don't get Waffle House. I tried you guys (or should I say, y'all). This was the first time I've ever been to a Waffle House and every time I met someone from the south, they thought it was the WEIRDEST thing that I've never had the luxury of visiting a Waffle House. So finally I was brought to this particular location in Marietta. The best way I could explain it to people who have never been is "breakfast at a truck stop." I kept commenting about how it looked so small from the outside and kept hearing "just wait till you get inside!" Nope. I went inside and it looked exactly how I thought it would. Cramped, dirty, truck stop-esque. It had horrible coffee, horribly limited menu. Sticky tables, sticky communal syrup containers. Everything felt dirty and sticky and I wanted to shower after sitting at my cramped table. I listened to everyone preparing my food having personal conversations and saw the behind the scenes stressed out shouting from cooks to waitresses. Honestly I didn't like hearing shouts during breakfast. I'm used to breakfast places coming with a few things but when you order a waffle here, it comes with ONE waffle made from a waffle iron. Wtf. $4 waffle. With nothing on it. This place has waffle in its name. I thought I'd at least get a few waffles. Or lots of choices of different kinds of waffles! CHICKEN AND WAFFLES!!! The name is very misleading. Kids ordered chocolate chips on their waffles and we were told it was like 30 cents extra. Cool. But then the waitress forgot they ordered chocolate chips and just brought out a shaker canister of chocolate chips and poured on a few shakes on the waffle. Cold chocolate chips. Bleh. And she was very stingy with them too. The chocolate chip waffle didn't have chocolate chips inside them? That's so weird. My hubs said it best. "This is like the McDonald's of breakfast houses. Drive to another location. Service can be bad - for example, my wife and I sat for a bit and were promised 'I'll be there shortly' by a server. She then ignored us and instead was taking to go orders. don't order country ham! I enjoy Waffle House. But yesterday husband ordered a $5.75 breakfast. It included ham. The waitress said so you want country ham and he said yes. When the bill came the Country ham cost an additional $4.25! that was an upgrade from city ham. It wasn't even on the menu as an available upgrade. nobody mentioned that it would cost extra and almost as much as his entire breakfast. He didn't even want it and he said it was awful. AWESOME bacon!!!! Crispy and yummy. We've gotten take out on Saturday/Sunday for breakfast. I get scrambled eggs, BACON, peppered & capped hash browns, and dry wheat toast. My hub gets pretty much the same as me, but plain h.b.'s, sometimes raisin toast, and no bacon. The food has been consistent. Eggs cooked just right, bacon nice and crispy...not the wobbly kind....yuck, h.b.'s nice and browned, and the wheat toast golden brown. It's usually very busy on the weekend mornings. The server's are super friendly...they know my husband by name now...LOL :D If he hasn't been there in a while, they wonder about him. :) Such sweethearts ^5 The food is prepared accurately AND efficiently. My hub is home in no time, and we enjoy our hot breakfast while our cats watch us LOL ;-) A great breakfast, at a reasonable price! THIS W.H. is a winner!!! read more

One of the fun traditions of running the Peachtree Road Race is getting the free waffle coupon for Waffle House. I found myself in Marietta a little while after the race and with coupon in hand, headed in for a waffle. They weren't crowded. They had people at two tables and two people sitting at the counter (they were chatting with the cook...so not even customers). However, they did have a large stack of dirty dishes sitting across the counter from me, so I assume they had just finished up with the lunch rush. It was around 2:30 PM or so at this point. As I looked the menu, the waitress asked me if I knew what I wanted. I said yes and she turned to the cook and said 'he's about to call out his order - listen up.' I was thinking 'um...isn't that your job?' But everyone in there seemed to be in a good mood and having fun, so what the heck? I called out my order to the cook: one waffle, two scrambled eggs and an order of bacon. Ok, easy enough. He said ok and got to work. The waitress asked me what I wanted to drink and I said vanilla Coke. She noticed my coupon and asked what it was for, I told her a free waffle. 7 or 8 minutes passed and the cook started putting the food in front of me. I sat there, just looking around because I didn't even have silverware or my drink yet. The cook didn't notice. The waitress came over and asked the cook to get me a Coke. No idea why she couldn't do it. A couple minutes later she finally turned toward me and I begin to speak. She raised her hand, pointer finger extended in a 'hushing' manner and turned away from me. A couple more minutes later and I had my Coke and silverware. Now onto the food. The bacon and eggs were fairly typical, although the bacon wasn't crisp at all. But, the waffle was barely cooked through. It was not browned at all and was barely done in the center. When it check arrives, it's around $11. I look over the menu again and can't conceive how it should be this high if the waffle was free. When my waitress finally noticed me again (and by this time I had given up on even considering a drink refill), I asked her and she said that she forgot about the coupon. She corrected the ticket, I paid and left - never to return to this location again! read more

I've been disappointed in this Waffle House before but I decided to give it another chance today. Came here with my friend and we walked in to see only 4 parties eating and ALL the tables were filthy. There were stacks of plates and bowls on each table and trash littered the floor. Someone rudely told us to wait and acted exasperated when we asked to sit in a booth. After ten minutes of waiting, we were finally directed to a booth and had to stand and wait for our waitress Christina to clean it off before we sat down. She set down napkins and two knives and one fork and walked away. We waited another 10 minutes before she returned to take our orders. We went ahead and ordered drinks and a waffle and our meal all at once because the wait time was clearly long. Another couple sat in the booth next to us and received their food and left before we received our food. Christina did not return with our drinks until we asked about them. When she finally brought our food, she did not remember who ordered which meal and loudly set the food on the table and started to walk away. My friend had to ask her to please bring her a fork and Christina seemed annoyed by her request. I asked her for a refill and salsa and she grabbed our drinks and turned without acknowledging me and did not return for five minutes. She set our drinks carelessly on the table and slammed the salsa down without saying a word and did not acknowledge when I said, "thank you." The salsa bottle was nearly empty so I stopped her to ask for another bottle and had to wait yet another five minutes for her to return. Christina was incredibly rude to me and my friend and did not become friendly until it was time for us to pay. My friend and I tipped because it's the right thing to do but neither of us felt that our server deserved anything above the absolute minimum. I will be uploading a photo of this Waffle House for others to see this terribly unsat atmosphere. I am at a loss for how this Waffle House scraped by to earn its 91 health rating. read more

This place is SO GOOD! Not just in food, but quality and service too. The food is not expensive at all. An All-Star Special (Hash Browns, Eggs, Toast, Bacon or Sausage, and Country Ham.) for ONLY $6.89!!!! IT IS SUCH A GOOD VALUE! The employees and service are SUPERB. They are so nice and friendly, it's kinda like they are your best friend. The food tastes EXCELLENT! It is literally breakfast (or lunch) heaven!! They have many combinations that make your mouth water. The sanitation is excellent. There are no such thing as flies in this Waffle House. The floors are always shiny and clean (Those janitors should get paid like $2000). You also get to see them make your order. If something isn't right. They'll fix it with NO extra charges. Yelp wouldn't let me leave zero stars, which is what this location deserves. Worst experience I have ever had at a Waffle House. Arrived about 10:20 pm. Only about three tables had people but all the tables were cluttered with dirty dishes. We waited 10 minutes to even have a table cleared as the two waitresses walked past us and leaned against the counter and watched as we cleaned it ourselves. When we ordered drinks, some of us got a drink, others didn't. There was no rhyme or reason as to who was served and who wasn't. We had to constantly request a drink after waiting a long time. Refills were a day dream. I ordered coffee with creamer. I got lukewarm coffee, no creamer. I asked one waitress, she said, "yeah in a little bit." Finally after the coffee was cold I asked another waitress and got creamer. I ordered an egg and cheese sandwich on wheat, hash browns smothered. I got an egg and bacon sandwich, hash browns, with large chunks of onion... About 1/2 a cups worth dumped on top. When I asked for the sandwich I ordered she (Ashley... Serving since 2014) just put my plate behind the counter for about 10 minutes then sat it back in front of me. I asked for the correct order and silverware for everyone else (third request). I had finally given up on eating when she put a plate in front of me with a scrambled egg in between two plain pieces of bread. The response from her, "well how did you want it?" This time there was no offer to make it right. My nephew ordered a chocolate chip waffle... Which he got finally, with about a cups worth of chips just dumped on top. The restaurant had a level of poor service like I have never seen, it was dirty, and the lazy staff had no desire to make anything right.
