Shrimp and Grits
Kathi Y.

Great food and fast service. It's not fancy, but it's a nice environment and the people were friendly. I had the shrimp and gouda grits with sunny side up egg on top. They were delicious! It was served with a perfect biscuit that was light and fluffy. Yum, yum. Also ordered a cinnamon roll which oh so delicious. I was extremely full I could only eat a couple of bites but so wanted to eat all of it. This place is definitely a place to go for breakfast when you are on the area!!

Corned beef hash in a skillet and blueberry lemon pancakes
Debi W.

Such a nice experience for breakfast. We couldn't decide between the corned beef hash skillet or the blueberry lemon pancakes. So we ordered both to share. The corned beef hash (made in house) was delicious. We opted for it served in a skillet over fried potatoes. It was delicious, however the food must have been placed in a cold skillet because it wasn't hot like we like. The pancakes were all we hoped; lots of fresh blueberries inside and out with lemon zest and sauce drizzled over the top. I'm a black tea lover in the morning, and loved that they served hot water in a generous tea pot. Enough water to have three pours. Prices are mostly under $10 too. With the price of eggs these days that's impressive. If you're local come often.

Firecracker Shrimp omelet.

Yes, but... Up until today I had not had a mediocre meal here. Today was the exception. Omelet was what I call lazy. Pan cooked and let to sit, and filled items placed on coldish after. Folded over and slightly over cooked. I can't see myself ordering an omelet again. English muffin was not toasted enough. Potatoes were, well ok. Crepe was rubbery and technically too thick. Service was wonderful as always. Wonder if the kitchen is as stretched thin as the front of house staff.

My daughter turned me on to this place and it did not disappoint! Everything was good, even the coffee.

This spot did not disappoint! Reveille cafe..I shall return. There are 3 other locations. We visited the location in Acworth. Reveille cafe offers breakfast and lunch. Easy to locate in Acworth off Mars Hill Rd. Plenty of free parking. You can dine in or out and to go is available. We were seated as soon as we entered with no wait. There is a drink menu on the tables with QR code to scan for the menu. Tim greeted us as soon as we sat down and said be right with us. We both got water. I decided to try the White Elephant Latte. Tim said good choice and I'd like it. Well, Tim was wrong...cause I loved it!! The yummy white chocolate and toffee flavor was delicious. Must try if you love a good Latte with some pretty darn good whip cream on top. Definitely would order that again. The food. Yes, cause that's why we weren't there. My son ordered the sweet cream pancakes with side of bacon. I went for The Kitchen sink. It was 2 eggs any style with a slice of bacon or a sausage link or you could get 2 of the same. I opted for two chicken sausage. It also came with potatoes or smoked gouda grits. I went for the potatoes. And last but not least add one pancake or a slice of french toast. I got the French toast. My son was in heaven with the pancakes. They looked so light and fluffy. Bacon was cooked perfectly. He definitely suggest you get some pancakes. My food was really good. The French toast was so good dusted w powdered sugar. I was little heavy w syrup. A mistake cause you don't need much. The potatoes were seasoned just right. My chicken sausage cooked perfectly along with my scrambled eggs. Tim checked on us several times to make sure we were good. Very attentive and friendly! All employees wore masks. The staff was friendly. Loved that they remembered returning customers. The food is decently priced. Wonderful experience! I see why my son suggested it.

Corned Beef Hash

So glad I finally went out! I have been hesitant to eat out let alone try new places during these COVID times. I have done a lot of take out but breakfast and brunch just isn't the same to-go. There are several locations of Reveille, and this one is near the post office I frequent. I often see people waiting outside so I figured it must be good! So on my birthday last week, my husband made me the leave the house and took our baby to have breakfast. I was super nervous but he said he already scoped it out and made sure they follow safety protocols. I was relieved to see that every other table was blocked off. They didn't mind us bringing in baby with stroller, and everyone had on masks. Everything seemed really clean and in order. The food was good. I was happy with my eggs but felt that it was missing a meat component. I asked for a side of chorizo and it was the perfect add-on for me. My husband enjoyed his corned beef hash although he wishes there was more corned beef. The Gouda grits were tasty and not overly cheesy, and the pancakes were great. We will definitely go back again.

You order at the counter and then find a seat, which I honestly loved because everything was super quick!! One of my favorite things was how many options they had. There were SO many gluten-free and vegan options -- even a vegan egg, which I rarely see anywhere! The place itself was super cute and actually pretty big. We came with a group of 8 and found a table pretty easily, although it definitely started getting busy around 11 on a Sunday. The food was great!! I got the gluten-free pancake, and while the pancake itself was good, the yogurt on top made it SO much better. The Brussels sprouts were also amazing! I think all 8 of us were really happy with what we ordered, and we all agreed that this is one of those places where there really is something for everyone -- which is always such a win when you're eating with a bigger group!

Not in the staff but there are some minor interior issues which could be addressed. As the dining area and service areas are open plan you can easily see the duct tape doors to the dishwashers area is in dire need of repair versus patching. Also it is rather filthy along the edges. The wall a/c unit also needs to be completely cleaned as it appears to have some grime building up. Now for the biggest disappointment ... our food. Coffee - yummy Country fried steak biscuit..... yea nope not again. It's just like it says just a huge very thin slice of commercial packaged frozen patty of country fried steak laid across an open faced biscuit. I had a side of fresh fruit. But it was mostly out of season fruit so not sweet and still underripe. Biscuit was light and fluffy but I had to order a piece of cheese and some gravy to hide the flavor of the meat and coating. Chicken and waffles - husband's favorite here but today it wasn't the same at all. Chicken was super dry inside. Waffles he described as no different than ones he makes at the hotel lobby. All in all we will wait some before returning to try again at some point. Thank you to the wait staff for always having smiles and helping each other to keep us happy.

And the portions versus the price point seemed very reasonable to me. They boast a Southern Coastal Cuisine so I went with the Fried Flounder Sandwich dressed in southern slaw and a side of tartar sauce. Served on a Niedlov's (Bakery in Chattanooga) grilled artisan hoagie bun. It was delicious. Crunchy crust and a tender moist fillet on the inside. And that Creamy Dreamy slaw was amazing. Their Fried Chicken Tacos is a must try too. Three hot chicken tenders in four tortillas, topped with corn salsa, cojita cheese, and jalapeño lime ranch. It was an Oh My Gosh experience. They have a very nice outside covered patio that's pet friendly and it all sits on a very large parcel with nice greenery and impressive landscaping. And it looks like they do a very brisk take out business too as I seen many orders being picked up. Awesome cocktails, attentive and responsive service all at a fair price. Definitely a place you want to check out.

I believe the hours are only until 2pm, and, they tend to bring in a large crowd. As I said, the food is fresh so you walk away not feeling overstuffed if you wish to indulge in a lot of food (which I recommend ) The only feedback I have is the Carne Asada tacos lacked a little flavor.
