The sandwich was tiny--basically the size of a slider--with just a few thin strips of shredded lettuce on top. For the price, it felt like a significant shrink from what I remembered. The medium fries came in a small white bag that looked more like a small or kids' size. When I politely pointed it out at the counter, the employee insisted it was a medium because "the bag has been stamped," which didn't address the obvious under-portioning. Overall, the food was fresh enough, but the value just wasn't there. This is the kind of experience that makes you think twice about returning. Been here a few times before, and went again for an early dinner tonight. Every time I go to Waba Grill, I have an out-of-body experience. I always order that sweet, sweet chicken bowl. Oh yeah, gotta have muh onions! The tender chicken tickles my taste buds, and I sure do love that Waba Sauce! Pretty much the best "fast food" option in Castaic. I ordered through Postmates, the order was quick and all my food was hot. The first item ordered was the Spring rolls which were cooked perfectly, but had some kind of flavor I was not appreciative of. Doesn't mean other people wouldn't like them, trust me, it's a me thing. Also ordered the Kung Pao with fried rice and holy chestnuts!! It's so hard to get a good Kung Pao with chestnuts these days! Not to mention the portion was huge. It's going to take me at least three to four days to finish all this food. But that's because I also ordered the Mongolian Beef, which I asked for to be spicy. When I opened that, I was a bit nervous. You know how you kind of cringe trying beef at a new place? That was the feeling I had, but I was presently surprised. It was not Chewy, grisly or tough and the mushrooms were awesome. I wished it was about five times spicer, but again, that's a me thing. All and all, I would absolutely order from Pick up Stix again. Fresh, tasty food and so much of it, at an affordable price, which you really can't say that about much these days. Lastly, their Chow Mein and Fried Rice and pretty great. I preferred the Chow Mein over the Fried rice, which is usually the other way around, so we'll done. I also love tofu, so that is next on my list!

She asked us if we had ever been there before, and we said no. She offered to give us the spiel of how everything works but it seemed pretty straight forward. There were three menus - All You Can Eat, Adventures in Niku, and A la Cart. We opted for the AYCE premium at $50/person. We were told we can order 2 meats per person, and then as many sides as we wanted when we put in an order. We ordered: Garlic edamame, cheese corn, cucumbers, vegetable spring rolls, fried pork gyoza dumplings, toro beef, angus beef rib, New York steak, pork belly, shishito peppers, and a few other meat options that I can't remember from the AYCE menu. A la cart we ordered the garlic rice. From the Adventures in Niku menu we got the $2.50 Kirin drafts. My personal favorites were the Angus Beef Rib, garlic edamame, garlic fried rice, and lots and lots of s'mores! We were very impressed with our server because she was very present and not on autopilot. For example, when we put in our first order we ordered the garlic fried rice and a two steamed white rices. I believe when a different employee dropped off our meats, she said she was going to get the white rice but never came back. My partner and I didn't think anything of it because the garlic fried rice was so large, and we can always order more steamed rice if we really needed it. About halfway into our meal, our server looks at our food and goes "didn't you order 2 steamed rices in addition to the garlic fried rice?!" I said yes and she immediately went to go get it. It was really nice to see that she wasn't just putting orders in as she heard them, but she was actually fully present and listening to what the order was and then doing mental checks to see if we had received everything. She was fantastic! In addition to our server, I noticed that there were bussers who would walk around looking for empty plates to remove. This really helped with keeping our table as empty as possible for all the food that we ordered. Overall, the food was something fun and different than we're used to. However, the stand out for me were the friendliness and efficiency from all the employees.

Dear Mr. T, I am…read morewriting to express my disappointment regarding an incident that occurred at your restaurant yesterday evening. First, I would like to say that my family and I have dined at your restaurant on several occasions and have always had positive experiences. We have enjoyed the food, atmosphere, and service, which is why the experience we had last night was particularly disappointing. My family and I visited your establishment again and ordered from the à la carte menu. After we had finished most of our meal and paid our bill, some members of our party, including my brothers, were still enjoying their sake and finishing their drinks. To our surprise, a staff member approached us and asked us to leave the restaurant. While I understand that it was a busy evening and that there may have been other customers waiting for tables, I found it inappropriate and unprofessional to be asked to leave when we were still consuming items we had legitimately purchased. We did not order from an all-you-can-eat menu, which typically has a clearly stated time limit. As paying customers dining from the regular menu, we reasonably expected to be allowed to finish our food and beverages without feeling rushed or pressured to leave. What was most disappointing was the manner in which the situation was handled. Hospitality should include treating guests with courtesy and respect, regardless of how busy the restaurant may be. Being asked to leave while still finishing our drinks and foods left us feeling unwelcome and diminished what would otherwise have been an enjoyable dining experience. I hope you will address this matter with your staff and reinforce the importance of professional customer service and respectful communication. Thank you for taking the time to review my concerns. I would appreciate your acknowledgment of this complaint and any information regarding how this matter will be addressed. Sincerely, Carla
