My cousin went to get my husband and all of us food. We wanted to eat healthy! The portion "Control" has got very skimpy! WaBa in the Valley usually has huge portion size. So I am editing my review after speaking with the manager of the Castaic location we have had issues with. Many of our issues and frustrations began with a previous manager who was terrible. I am pleased that this manager reached out and worked at fixing the situation. I also want to note he has worked with my son many times to try and get his order correct when he is around. That being said I have changed my review as my biggest concern was the lack of service. Reaching out to both my son and I in an attempt to correct the situation makes me happy and more than willing to support a local business. As I also previously had stated my son loves the food. It was never an issue of the food not being good at all. I am happy to know that service is a priority with this manager. That alone speaks volumes. I am sure my frustration that started over a year ago with the prior manager simply escalated with each mistake. Please take a moment to see for yourself what it is like. I must say it is fresh and thats a definite plus since there are not many options for that if you are heading into the mountains or into LA traffic and in a hurry. FYI my son has even asked if we could have it for dinner. So stop by and see for yourself; I am sure the experience will be pleasant. read more

Short ribs were great, salad and avocado was fresh, and oranges were the best palate cleanser. We tried the shrimp, chicken and beef as well and all were great!! After a long, hot day of walking around Six Flags with my wife and kids, making terrible food choices, we opted for something a little healthier. We didn't mind driving 20 minutes out of our way home because we enjoy Waba Grill and frequent our local restaurant often. Ordered our food, this process took about 8 minutes as the computers "weren't working", the cashier, Nune was having difficulty placing the order. There were at least 2 other employees assisting her. I was very patient, even noticed a sign oddly placed stating that this wasn't "fast food, so be patient". We sat down with our hungry, antsy kids and soon were the only patrons left in the restaurant. An employee, I believe her name was Nune sat down and ate her lunch a few feet away. About 25-30 minutes passed and I'm noticing about 4 employees cleaning up all around us. I decided to go checkout how much longer it was going to take to get our food since both my wife and children were equally hungry and it was getting late, approaching 9pm. After explaining that we're still waiting on our food, they all look at the kitchen area and giggle a bit and try to shirk responsibility due to the "computers". I understand that people shouldn't remember everybody's order, but come on...we were the only people in the establishment, my children were not very quiet and they could easily see us sitting in the corner. No compensation was offered. We weren't even offered to wait for our original order to be prepared. We ended up leaving without food and still needing to get food for our kids. This was by far the worse experience I've ever had at a restaurant. read more

When you walk in it will remind you of Hawaiian BBQ or chipotle or some other -quasi fast food but healthier option- type place. It's clean inside but smells a little weird, almost like they just recently unwrapped all their furniture from the factory packing. You order off the menu on the wall and the kitchen is behind the cash register facing and faces you, so you can see it which bodes well for cleanliness. The food is prepared in about 10 minutes. I got the chicken and steak bowl which is there signature dish. You get a huge portion of rice with a large scoop of chicken and a large scoop of steak. The steak is seasoned in a teriyaki base and is really good. The chicken has a flame broiled taste and is a little dull but then again you're eating it after bites of marinated steak. The plates also come with orange slices and salad. I'm 6"2 210 and couldn't finish. I can make two meals out of this. Overall I liked the food. TL;DR - it's a teriyaki bowl version of chipotle. read more

The food was cold and they had no sides besides chicken. To add half an avacado to your meal costs $2.50 (you can get a full avocado at the grocery store for cheaper).
