Honestly, I didnt even realize we had a Tommy's location right here in Santa Clarita until I mapped the closest one to me. I dropped in for lunch, and the place was absolutely packed. There was a line wrapping out the door and the drive-thru was backed up just as far. I decided to stick out the drive-thru, and it turned out to the best decision. Even though it took about 45 minutes to get my food, that was nothing compared to the inside line, which was a brutal 1 to 1.5 hour wait. We've tried a few other items on the menu, but we always come back to this combo because it's consistently perfect. The location itself is great very clean, well kept, and the staff are always friendly and welcoming. The only thing to note is that if you go through the drive through and order multiple combos, you might wait 15-20 minutes, which makes sense since everything is made fresh to order. My wife is out running so many errands of late, I can pretty much rest assured that I'll be surprised with takeout brought home from somewhere. Today it was our first try of our local Tommy's, a much enjoyed chili burger for us from various locations over the years. But strangely, never here close to home. So with our son home enjoying a few days off from work, she arrived with chili cheese burgers and fries for the two of us, while only choosing a non-cheese chili burger for herself; no order of fries for herself necessary, just eating from my order is usually sufficient for her. I guess the last time I tried any location, my son and I several years back, was so disappointing I'd sort of steered clear of this spot. But after today all is not lost with Tommy's ( and never was lost with the always enjoyable original LA eatery). These guys pretty much put the chili in chili burgers. Nothing like having a Tommy's breakfast sandwich right before a 5 hour drive home! This location is conveniently located right off the fwy in Valencia. Service is always incredibly friendly and every Tommy's location we've been to is super clean albeit we do usually come in during morning hours. What a bummer!! We have been going to this location for years and were always satisfied. Last Thursday, we walked in and ordered a couple of chili burgers with extra chili. My husband looked at the burgers they gave us and went back to the counter and asked if they added extra chili because the chili was sparse. The young man at the counter said, "Yes we did." He lied. Either he was telling the truth and they are no longer giving extra chili as an option (at which point he should've said so), or he lied and was being lazy. Our burgers were dry. If you've eaten here before, you need a spoon to eat the burger with extra chili. Nope, no spoon was needed that night. I don't believe this is the original Tommy's way of serving their food. We might give it one more try on another day. If we ever decide to return, I will give an update of that experience. read more

They messed up out order through the drive thru. Thinking all was good, we drove home and we found so many mistakes with rveryines order (ordered no onions, someone got onions. Ordered no tomatoes, someone got tomatoes,etc) and the food items were labeled wrong so only after someone started eating thr wrong food order is when they realized the mistakes. Quick and friendly service, nice vibe with music playing. The food is okay the chili they use tasted mushy. It does have a good taste and somewhat spicy. I got the chili dog, I felt the Weiner was a tad over cooked it was tough to bite into. The chili cheese fries are really good but the ratio of fries to chili isn't well proportioned.
