    Jerk Chicken Bowl
    Karen P.

Ordered delivery from the Valencia store and the whole experience was great. It arrived timely and warm, and everything was well packaged in the bag and containers. The hardest part was just picking what to eat! The jerk chicken was moist and packed with flavor. The plantains, pickled cabbage, and red beans and rice complimented the meal just right--and the delicious sauce was even great on my onion rings. The flavors and textures are amazing. I will definitely be working my way through the rest of the menu!

This place was a huge surprise. Usually we try to eat at local businesses, but the combination of the reviews and our cravings got the better of us. So we settled for this American Burger chain. Pretty big store that felt modern and welcoming. The layout was great and we didn't feel lost at all from start to finish. We were in town because of a friend's play, and it was nice that it was right next door too. I got the Onion Stack Burger. The patty was well seasoned and the crispy onion strings gave it a wonderfully textured bite. Hickory sauce was tasty and the fries were crispy and well seasoned. I asked for ketchup on the side and I don't know why but cold, refrigerated ketchup always taste the best. I had to drop a star because the service was lacking a little. The worker was nice and responsive but we had to wait quite a bit as I think he was talking to a friend when we got there. He noticed we were in line but they were just having a conversation unrelated to the burger joint. She left the spot after 5-ish minutes and we were greeted pretty carefree following that. He also forgot to give us our number which we had to go back for. Anyhow, the food was great, and the ambiance was great. I'd definitely recommend a try if you can't think of what to eat while shopping/waiting at the mall.

An updated review on one of my family's favorite spot to eat. Yes, I am a fan. My favorite burger to get here is the French soup burger. AMAZING BURGER! Cooked to perfection, stacked but wrapped well enough for an easy eating experience (I lie. I still ask for a fork and knife.) I would like to say I would try the rest of the menu but the dozen times I have come here, I order the same burger. Now the sides have varied. I tend to share the fries with others as they are served generously. Crispy and seasoned, these are great fries. Our current favorite is the roasted brocollini. It is citrusy, bright and light and it goes perfectly well with the burger. And I love the complimentary pickle chips! Service is great. You order at the counter and they take the food to your table. Ample seating but inside and out. Valencia can get hot but there are more perfect sunny days/afternoons so outside eating to me is a must. Great burger joint that I will be happy to return to!

It gets an extra star because you are literally in a food desert in Santa Clarita! I always go for the brisket sandwich on pretzel bread. My brother loves the French onion soup burger and the sugary vanilla cream ale nitro beer. The salmon burger is solid, too. They have a large menu and do everything well. The best part about the Santa Clarita location is the outdoor playground within walking distance, perfect for letting hungry kiddos burn off energy while you wait for your order.

Review update, been at the Stand Valencia few more times since my last review, the food is excellent as always and now even the fries are cooked to perfection!! Thanks for the response and taking care of this.

Came to have lunch and I'm so glad to have this new place at the mall. I like their option and healthier choices. I really like how they give you sauce on the side instead of having the bottles of sauce out. It's very clean and tables are spaced out enough for easy moving. Service was very friendly and helpful with suggestions.

Short Rib Grilled Cheese was delicious

The Stand serves up some comfort food, nostalgic of a good ol' burger, shake, and fries but with modern offerings for the health conscious eaters as well. There's something for the whole family. Sides 5/5* All the sides were delicious - Mac n Cheese with its cavatappi noodles, crispy Stand Fries, Fire Fries with a spicy kick, and unlimited complimentary pickles. Short Rib Gilled Cheese 5/5* SO delicious! Cheddar cheese grilled into the bread until crispy on the outside, gooey and melty inside, paired with savory shredded short rib. It came with ranch sauce but was so good on its own, it didn't need extra sauce. French Onion Soup Burger 2.5/5* Just ok in my opinion. The burger overall and patty didn't have much flavor, even though the patty was cooked perfectly medium rare. The side of french onion au jus was too salty. It was missing some veggies to balance everything out. I probably wouldn't get this burger again, but would try one of their more balanced options. Puri Puri Chicken Bowl 4/5* Looked great on the menu screen and was a new item, but didn't really look like the picture when brought out. It's a healthier option and was refreshing. The red sauce is pretty spicy if you don't do heat well. It might be the same sauce used on the Fire Fries. Customer Service (for the cashier) 5/5* The cashier, Christian, provided top notch customer service. He walked us through downloading The Stand app, apply our coupon, and was so patient, assuring us we had nothing to worry about when we said we didn't want to hold up the line. The servers though, were just doing just that, without anything extra. One of the servers even messed up our order and we were missing an extra side of fries, which we had to get directly from the kitchen. The kitchen, though, is extremely slow. Be prepared to wait 20-30 mins for your food. The ambiance is real casual. You order first, and the servers bring out your food and clean up afterwards. They seemed short staffed at the time so a lot of tables were still full of trays. There's a ton of TVs that were playing the game at the time, so good spot to watch the game without the crazy crowds.

Just here to say the new mint chocolate crunch milkshake is absolutely worth trying! So creamy & flavorful I'd come back just for this!

Large fries portion is same as regular when served. Just get regular.

Not really sure why this place gets nearly 5 stars. I literally can in here biased on the positive reviews and was severely let down. The menu looks good and I really enjoy burger places so why not here ? I orders The Stand Burger for myself and others in our group ordered the same along with a Turkey Burger. Also got me a Cookies n Cream Shake and a "large" fries. I was asked by the cashier how I like the burgers cooked and I said well - no pink. The food was brought to our table and I was excited to try this out. The drippy burger tasted fine at first but after taking a look inside I saw it was completely pink thru out. I checked with my other peeps at the table and they had pink pattys too. Ugh. Why ask how I want it cooked if you aren't going to even come close. Also I ordered the "large" fries because it was basically double the price of a regular so I would split it at the table. Well let me tell you, my large looked just as small as the regulars others got in my group. My photos back this up. So now I really feel like I'm just getting poor service here and ripped off. We were really hungry so we ate what we could and wanted to just get thru the meal. The Cookies n Cream shake was the only thing they seemed to get right during my experience. Service was not great, While I was telling my order to the cashier another worker just walked over and interrupted us and then the girl taking my order just walked away. The guy taking orders on the next register then began helping the customer behind me. Like what the heck. Am I invisible. My cashier cam back and was like ok what did you want ?? Wild I tell you. With sooooo many burger places in SCV I will gladly go elsewhere for a good properly made burger. Heck some places give you unlimited fries and everything instead of charging double for a regular size side order here.

Tried the chimichurri steak salad for the first time and it did not disappoint. The right portion with just the right amount of steak. Service was great and the inside was well cleaned. Also tried the falafel wrap and it was surprisingly good. Came on a Saturday for lunch and it wasn't too packed. Plenty of indoor seating. This location also has a large parking lot with plenty of parking.

This is what broccolini should look like.
    Kevin A.

The place was not crowded at all. Meal took over 15 minutes for two Stand burgers with sides. Both came out cold. I ordered Meyer lemon broccolini and instead received baby broccoli with a lemon wedge. Extremely disappointing. Will not be back. This was my second visit. The first was not much better.

Amazing food selection, something for nearly every taste. I had the seared ahi tuna, talk about the perfect sandwich for a sashimi lover, super rare and delicious. Service is good and the ambiance is typical of any mall restaurant when it's a busy time of year.

They have marble tables and counters, with comfortable chairs, and lots of light coming in through the windows. The staff is all smiles and very welcoming, happy to help you navigate the very interesting bill of fare, and making sure your cocktail is made exactly as you like. I was dining solo, so I sat at the bar, and James took excellent care of me from start to finish. I asked for a Bombay Sapphire Martini with Olives; James immediately offered regular or blue cheese-stuffed olives, and asked if I preferred the martini shaken or stirred. The drink that emerged was well-balanced, cold and very tasty. The menu is filled with all sorts of interesting choices. Some are familiar items like salads and fishes and hamburgers or cheesesteak sandwiches done in their way -- but my eye immediately went to a very unique starter: Duck Fat Potato Confit. Say what? As James explained, it is a whole potato that has been slow cooked in duck fat (confit, as we know) and served as the main attraction in the dish as one might similarly feature a duck leg or short rib. I had to order this, and it turned out to be one of the most rewarding dishes I've eaten in a long time. The aforementioned, slow-cooked potato initially appears a bit like a whole boiled potato, but looks are deceiving. Because of the cooking method, the potato holds it's consistency and shape much more than a boiled or baked potato, cutting almost like a protein. It's solid but tender, and as it has absorbed quite a bit of flavor during the cooking, this potato is far tastier on its own than those other iterations. But you are NOT eating this potato unadorned. Oh no, this potato is dressed with caramelized onions, smoky bacon lardons, wild mushrooms and a rich, very flavorful demi-glace. All together, you've layers upon layers of flavor that make you ignore all distractions and really concentrate on the pleasure you're getting from your food. But that's not all... Perhaps the cleverest element of a dish composed entirely of clever elements is the Mornay Sauce. Snow white, and with enough of just the right cheese to add texture to the Bechemel without becoming too powerful, the sauce is plated on the bottom, with the potato resting atop it. Visually, this looks like mashed potatoes served underneath a protein, and it plays the same role texturally -- but because you wouldn't serve potatoes with a potato, the sauce is a lighter accompaniment, whose flavor marries perfectly with the more complex sauce coming from above, and you cannot help but marvel at this stroke of culinary magic. Just wow. I finished with a dessert of Key Lime Budino, which was rich and creamy with a serious hit of sour from the Key Lime. A nice and refreshing shift after the savory richness of my entree. How lucky are the people of Newhall and Santa Clarita that they have a restaurant making such interesting and excellent food? I come up at least once a month for a music event, and how lucky am I to have discovered this place to eat beforehand? And by the way: if you live in the San Fernando Valley, this place is really less than 30 minutes away (without traffic), so the next time you're thinking of going over the hill to a place in Beverly Hills or Santa Monica, you may want to head North instead. I promise you, The Old Town Junction will become your new favorite.

We were visiting from out of town and we wanted Tri tip for dinner so we look on Yelp and this was…read moresuggested . We took a look and the pictures all looked delicious so we decided to give it a try. Best decision! We got to try the Tri tip which was my favorite, but also tried the half chicken (very juicy), & brisket. For side we got the mash potatoes and Mac and cheese which both had excellent flavor. We got a side of the grilled corn which wasn't our top from the other options but still good flavor. The waitress was also very helpful and answered all the questions my hubby had (he had asked quite a bit lol) They have seating inside and out but given the afternoon was fresh we opted to sit outside. The service didn't changed we were checked on often. Either way both options seemed pleasant. All in all, We were left in food coma after in the best way possible. This was a place we're saving to go back whenever we're in the area. 10/10

This use to be out go-to place for special occasions but it has fallen to the "will not go back"…read morecategory. For starters, it is outrageously priced for what you get. I got sticker shock just looking at the menu. Over $20 for a regular wedge salad. The kicker though was the cleanliness of the place. First there was black mold growing in the drink menu. Then i looked at the brick floor ( we were sat outside) and i was disgusted (see photo). I understand that drinks and food get spilled but it doesn't take much to power wash the patio at night. My plate came out dirty with a chip on the dish-ware. The bbq bottles were sticky and congealed. Just think, if this the cleanliness of the dining room, imagine what the kitchen looks like. I have worked in the restaurant business before and this is just intolerable. Two stars for a good atmosphere (live music). But that's it. If you want great bbq, try Copper Hill BBQ. It's doesn't have the atmosphere of Smoke House but you get great BBQ and a clean environment.
