    Loco moco

Since my Mom wanted a loco moco, which I thought I would get the leftovers...I tried their club sandwich. So good! Everything was cooked perfectly. Big serving of turkey. Lettuce and tomato were super fresh. Bacon was cooked to perfection. I LOVED the fries. Crispy but still soft inside.

I wanted just some diced up chicken. The guy tells me $12. And he says sorry everything's gotten so expensive. He then brings me about 5oz of chopped up chicken. For $12! So disappointed

I was craving the perfect pancakes one day so my boyfriend took me here. Immediately upon walking up, I thought the entrance was so cute and reminded me of grandma's house. I walked in and knew already I'd love the vibes. It's definitely a spot where regulars frequent, and I'm pleased to say I've now been twice. Both times the food and service were great and I'll definitely be back. It truly has this nostalgic feel to it! Being connected to the bowling alley is a fun perk too.

Breakfast here is always tasty and it is served all day A couple months back I got a turkey club That was ordinary cold cut meat instead of real Turkey - I am unclear if it was just a one off or if it is a permanent change

Maybe it's just me, but cafe's in bowling alleys are the best. I don't think I've had anything from Lily's that wasn't good and I especially appreciate the variety of foods to choose from. The service is great too. I believe it's family owned and operated so there's always a personal touch when one of them greets you.

I love that this little restaurant is attached to the bowling alley! There's brunch, lunch and dinner to be had here. Great to bring the whole family, or come in with friends. Laid back atmosphere, customer service is fantastic! The burgers are great, fries are crispy, and thank you for the free watermelon and the discount on my bill! Going the extra step really made me feel appreciated. Love to support family run places in town, and bring others to enjoy the yummy food!

A favorite local restaurant in the SCV with the sweetest and friendliest owners! The restaurant is a homely little spot connected to the bowling alley with such delicious food. We love ordering the Chicken Fried Steak, Loco Moco, and especially the Fried Rice. The portions are huge and you definitely leave feeling full and satisfied! If you haven't been here you should it's a family favorite of many locals...

Pretty solid diner. Had the club sandwich with fries and the taco salad with chicken. Nice little plate of fruit as a starter. The club sandwich (my go to for diner sandwiches) was nice and fresh and the fries were especially crispy. The taco salad was surprisingly good. Nice service here.

We love lilys! My family eats here all the time! Great tasting and fresh made food. Lily is a sweet heart and cares for her clients! Super cute location up against the bowling alley. Love the plants outside and diner vibe inside.

Mushroom and cheese omelette with a side of bacon, and fruit cup.

What an amazing little gem. The service, and food were excellent! I had an omelette with a side of bacon and the missus had an eggs with hashbrowns. Portions were generous and had excellent flavor. The staff couldn't have been better, with continuous coffee cup filling and being asked if we had any other needs or assistance. The fruit was provided without a charge and was very fresh and crisp. Facility is a little dated, but the food and service made up for it.

You're drawn in by the familiar, comfortable design featuring mirrored signs with writing in Victorian style fonts that continue onto the menus. They have marble tables and counters, with comfortable chairs, and lots of light coming in through the windows. The staff is all smiles and very welcoming, happy to help you navigate the very interesting bill of fare, and making sure your cocktail is made exactly as you like. I was dining solo, so I sat at the bar, and James took excellent care of me from start to finish. I asked for a Bombay Sapphire Martini with Olives; James immediately offered regular or blue cheese-stuffed olives, and asked if I preferred the martini shaken or stirred. The drink that emerged was well-balanced, cold and very tasty. The menu is filled with all sorts of interesting choices. Some are familiar items like salads and fishes and hamburgers or cheesesteak sandwiches done in their way -- but my eye immediately went to a very unique starter: Duck Fat Potato Confit. Say what? As James explained, it is a whole potato that has been slow cooked in duck fat (confit, as we know) and served as the main attraction in the dish as one might similarly feature a duck leg or short rib. I had to order this, and it turned out to be one of the most rewarding dishes I've eaten in a long time. The aforementioned, slow-cooked potato initially appears a bit like a whole boiled potato, but looks are deceiving. Because of the cooking method, the potato holds it's consistency and shape much more than a boiled or baked potato, cutting almost like a protein. It's solid but tender, and as it has absorbed quite a bit of flavor during the cooking, this potato is far tastier on its own than those other iterations. But you are NOT eating this potato unadorned. Oh no, this potato is dressed with caramelized onions, smoky bacon lardons, wild mushrooms and a rich, very flavorful demi-glace. All together, you've layers upon layers of flavor that make you ignore all distractions and really concentrate on the pleasure you're getting from your food. But that's not all... Perhaps the cleverest element of a dish composed entirely of clever elements is the Mornay Sauce. Snow white, and with enough of just the right cheese to add texture to the Bechemel without becoming too powerful, the sauce is plated on the bottom, with the potato resting atop it. Visually, this looks like mashed potatoes served underneath a protein, and it plays the same role texturally -- but because you wouldn't serve potatoes with a potato, the sauce is a lighter accompaniment, whose flavor marries perfectly with the more complex sauce coming from above, and you cannot help but marvel at this stroke of culinary magic. Just wow. I finished with a dessert of Key Lime Budino, which was rich and creamy with a serious hit of sour from the Key Lime. A nice and refreshing shift after the savory richness of my entree. How lucky are the people of Newhall and Santa Clarita that they have a restaurant making such interesting and excellent food? I come up at least once a month for a music event, and how lucky am I to have discovered this place to eat beforehand? And by the way: if you live in the San Fernando Valley, this place is really less than 30 minutes away (without traffic), so the next time you're thinking of going over the hill to a place in Beverly Hills or Santa Monica, you may want to head North instead. I promise you, The Old Town Junction will become your new favorite.

We took a look and the pictures all looked delicious so we decided to give it a try. Best decision! We got to try the Tri tip which was my favorite, but also tried the half chicken (very juicy), & brisket. For side we got the mash potatoes and Mac and cheese which both had excellent flavor. We got a side of the grilled corn which wasn't our top from the other options but still good flavor. The waitress was also very helpful and answered all the questions my hubby had (he had asked quite a bit lol) They have seating inside and out but given the afternoon was fresh we opted to sit outside. The service didn't changed we were checked on often. Either way both options seemed pleasant. All in all, We were left in food coma after in the best way possible. This was a place we're saving to go back whenever we're in the area. 10/10

I got sticker shock just looking at the menu. Over $20 for a regular wedge salad. The kicker though was the cleanliness of the place. First there was black mold growing in the drink menu. Then i looked at the brick floor ( we were sat outside) and i was disgusted (see photo). I understand that drinks and food get spilled but it doesn't take much to power wash the patio at night. My plate came out dirty with a chip on the dish-ware. The bbq bottles were sticky and congealed. Just think, if this the cleanliness of the dining room, imagine what the kitchen looks like. I have worked in the restaurant business before and this is just intolerable. Two stars for a good atmosphere (live music). But that's it. If you want great bbq, try Copper Hill BBQ. The martini menu is large...it's the Egg Plantation omelette menu, but for martinis (iykyk). I love a martini that's on the sweeter side, usually a lemon drop, and I asked the bartender what she would suggest. I like trying new things. She didn't really help me with my question, but said that the orange martini I was thinking about would be good. It was extremely sweet! I do like a sweet martini, but I also like fresh juices in my drinks. It was nothing extraordinary, just average, which kind of surprised me for a place that sells itself as a martini bar. We also ordered some appetizers and, honestly, everything seemed like it was the same color...nothing fresh or unique or delicious. When a guy came out, who I later figured out was the manager or owner, he kind of said hello to us and then spent a lot of time talking to every other table at length. We are a gay couple, and I don't wanna go out on a limb to assume reasons why he didn't speak to us, but it did leave us wondering. Also, I'm usually someone who will have a minimum of two drinks, but we were not comfortable in the setting, nor was anything so compelling that I had to have another drink, so we quickly paid our check and left. When we left, we were still in the mood to have a drink and hang out somewhere, so we went to one of our favorites, Old Town Junction in Newhall. What a difference! The staff are so friendly with everybody who enters, the drinks are unique, fresh and delicious, and the food is inspired. I had a drink there that was not only delicious but also supported St. Jude's Hospital. And I had a corn risotto that was fresh and delicious. We had great conversations with the bartenders and with other people at the bar. We left feeling a sense of community. Not sure why I thought I wanted to try The Social again, but I won't go back.
