    Chicken & waffle bites

I visited this location for lunch around 12:30 on a Thursday and met with my Yelp Elite Mentor. She was already seated when I had joined. After my arrival, our waitress, Brooke, came by and noticed that I already had a water bottle and asked if there was anything else I wanted to drink. I declined, but give a thumbs up for her attentiveness. I ordered the BBQ ranch chicken salad as a wrap, and our waitress asked if I wanted the dressings on the side. I agreed that would be nice as I probably wouldn't be finishing it so that would prevent it from getting soggy. I also asked if I could be placed on a separate check, and she said that we can do it at the end on the Ziosk machine. The wrap was more than enough for lunch. I ate half of the wrap and was full. Everything in it tasted fresh, and delicious. I also noticed throughout our meal, two or three other employees stopped by our table to check on us, and to clear empty plates and glasses. When it was time to check out, Brooke told me that she had separated my check out and set me up on the Ziosk machine to pay. I really appreciated that she has remembered my request. My BBQ ranch chicken salad was $16 with the tortilla wrap being an extra $1 for a subtotal of $17. Overall, this is a great place to watch sports, with quality food, great customer service, and ample parking.

We came here last night around 6 o'clock for dinner and it was pretty packed. I'm assuming that they're busier during Happy Hour, but this seemed to be a popular place in my mom's neck of the woods of Stevenson Ranch. They have a pretty extensive menu for a Crafthouse and our food was served to us rather quickly. I had the *menu recommended* mahi-mahi tacos, one grilled and one fried, and they both were good. However, I preferred the fried one. Next time, I would like to try other items on the menu since they have a variety of options.

Just had my first experience at Finney's CraftHouse and let me tell you, the food was absolutely delicious! The customer service was great and the atmosphere was just fantastic. I can't recommend this place enough!

So glad I finally stopped in & tried this spot out. Pub style, host of regular patrons, many craft beer choices, and delicious food. Everything we had was really tasty. I couldn't resist ordering the deviled eggs AND the Brussels sprouts for appetizers because I couldn't properly decide between the two and let it be known that both were extremely tasty and delicious- especially the sprouts. They had a yuzu ponzu sauce that was absolutely divine. If you like dark beer, let me suggest the mountain goat blend. Sooooo deep, tasty, and delectable. Highly recommend. The food here was great, the atmosphere is chill, the service was on point and I will absolutely be back for another pint and cheeseburger.

Came here cause I was going to six flags & had the best bartender I've ever had. Her name is Sarah & she was charismatic, efficient, & knew how to hold a conversation. Kept up with the drinks & making sure we weren't missing anything. Definitely a powerhouse & will be coming back to try out some more food !

I visited for the first time on a Saturday evening. There was a short wait so they took my name down and texted me when our table was ready. The restaurant has a mix of bar seating, high-top tables, and standard tables. They also have a few tables outside. I tried the Spicy Mango Margarita and it was good! We shared the chicken quesadilla which comes with guacamole and sour cream. For my entrée, I ordered Gary's Pepperoni pizza and it was good too! I do wish the crust was more well done. It's a good spot to watch a game!

Our first time at Finney's, our friends live in the area and suggested that we go here. Hostess was very accommodating and we were seated immediately if it's outdoor dining. Our was amazing Ethan and he was very nice, hardworking, friendly and efficient. Everything was delicious and service was excellent.

My wife and I have been here several times since they opened up in Santa Clarita. We first found them in their Porter Ranch location. In all visits, they have been consistent in delivering good food combined with good service. We we part of a small birthday lunch today (seven people) and received excellent attention. The hostess quickly assembled a table for us, even though it was lunch hour on a Saturday, and the server did a great job with the table service. Two of our party are gluten-free, and he explained how they prepared their food for people with that food allergy. I ordered their crispy chicken sandwich with a side of fried pickles. The sandwich was a large portion of chicken breast with assorted toppings. The overall flavor was very good. The pickles were "OK". I didn't prefer the way that they prepared them, but there was nothing wrong with them. They just weren't the best I've had. My wife ordered the prosciutto and arugula pizza. It has a hot honey topping and is excellent. It's her go-to at Finney's, and I always steal a piece or two. Or, three. Their pizza is a flatbread style and tastes really good. They have a large assortment of beers and cocktails. I think they're a great choice for lunch.

I really did enjoy my food and my drinks here. Sat at the bar with my best friend on Friday, the service was really slow from the bartenders. They were too busy talking amongst themselves. We had to flag them down to order drinks. Only 2 people there were actually doing their job. Our food took a long time to get there. Restaurant was clean, the games were on, ambience was good. I might return.

Our first time here and so happy we stopped in for lunch. The hostess was so very friendly and she asked us if we had a table preference. We let her pick for us and she gave us a comfy booth. We had been there a bit and asked a young woman if she was our server. She said no but she would be happy to take our order. She ended up helping us most of the time, although there were many other wait staff who checked on us as well. I ordered the mini ahi poke tacos off the starter menu and a chopped wedge salad. The tacos were perfect, so fresh and flavorful. The chopped salad was also delicious! My husband ordered the hickory bbq burger on a gluten free bun and loved it. So large and tasty. He orginally added a house salad but when it came we noticed is was more of a spring mix and he really liked the look of my chopped wedge. They were very understandable and offered to switch it for us and did not charge us for the house salad. The dining room has many large screen tvs and a large bar area as well. Plenty of nearby parking. We got there before noon and by 12:30 it was getting very full. We will most definitely be back and encourage you to try it as well. A second visit this month. Matthew was a wonderful server! We sat outside which was a nice change. It is a small cozy area with plenty of greenery providing privacy from the parking lot. We had the chicken club sandwich. The parmesean aoli sauce was the ticket! The house made chips were so unexpected and delicious. We also had the Margherita pizza. I love the thin flatbread type crust. The tomatoes and fresh cheese were outstanding. The pizza sauce was a bit sweeter than I am used to, but that is definitely a personal preference. Another win for Finney's!

My home run hit for the week is Finney's Crafthouse. I was meeting with my prayer group. They drove from Bakersfield and I drove from LA to go here. The Nike store was closed, so I was just so glad I came in here. Our waitress name was Shanta and she was absolutely amazing, very kind. I told her it was my first time here and she did not disappoint. I asked her, what is the most popular? She said the cheese steak egg rolls. We had those, and by the way, you can check out my pictures. Those cheese steak egg rolls were good. My guests usually don't eat more than one appetizer, but I talked them into getting a couple. I got that and they consented to the onion ring tower. I think I'm going to come back one time and get the nachos too. But we got the cheese steak egg rolls and the onion rings and they're really good. Then I got a side salad, a Caesar side salad, it was good. Then I was going to get a smash burger, but instead that Wagyu burger is actually very good. It attracted me because I like ribeye. That was extremely good. I just didn't get the bacon on it because I don't like pork. And then got sweet potato fries, shared with the table, and it was just a lot of food. But this is the best part, the atmosphere. This was during a FIFA game and oh my goodness, every time USA scored or every time they scored, people were screaming and yelling, and I felt like I knew everybody. The waitresses, waiters, the people, I'm complimenting the people sitting around us. If you weren't a soccer fan, you would become one, because it was almost like a home game in there. Great atmosphere, good food, excellent service. This is really, really good.

Okay wtf, I just found this place on Yelp today to pick up some food for my lunch break but didn't expect it to be one of the best meals I've ever had in my life. I'm about to fall asleep face first on my office desk now bc food coma. First off, I ordered the lobster rolls appetizer, the California Cobb salad with extra ranch, and the bison burger medium well and added crispy onions, bleu cheese, and bacon in it. Eddie took my phone order, was very nice and personable, and remembered to fulfill all of my order requests/sides which was awesome. I gobbled it up on my lunch break. And now I am ready for a nap. Your girl is happy. I'm going back fashosho

Ask the Community - Finney's Crafthouse

    Is this place dog friendly?

I have seen dogs in the patio area only. Don't know about inside the restaurant.

Is it family friendly, or is there a big emphasis on the bar aspect?

Yes, very family friendly despite it being considered a bar restaurant.

What are in the pretzel sauces?Brought one home and there was two pieces of bacon in the cheese sauce. I asked the waitress before hand whether there is any chicken broth/meat products in any sauce and was told no. I'm very allergic! Disappointing!!

I haven't try the pretzel yet, I'm sorry.

    Are you guys dog friendly?

    We welcome all dogs :)

    Does Finney's take reservations?

The one in Stevenson Ranch doesn't take reservations. I called and on the recording it says first come first serve.

Is there a take out option?

Yep! They are very popular with take out.

    Is this open now?

    Yep!

Chris and the bartenders/servers were quick, attentive, and super friendly, even with a big group. Drinks were coming out fast and everyone felt taken care of. This is a large,…read morenicely-maintained pool room with assorted other games available (darts and such), a great digital jukebox system, and plenty of TV's playing sports. The decor is "industrial," but it's clean and airy, so there's no sense of being in a "dive" -- in fact, this is a family-friendly place, and I saw some youngish couples playing pool on what seemed to be afternoon dates. The physical bar is relatively small, with only about 8-12 seats, but that's because they're keeping as much space open as possible for game play. The staff was friendly and chatty, and seemed quite intent on making sure everyone had everything they needed. The menu is wider and more interesting than one would expect in a pool hall environment, with creative pizzas, burgers, sandwiches and salads promising a more unique and memorable meal than the average hangout. I opted to try the Pastrami Pizza: a traditional tomato and mozzarella pie topped with what they call "mustard fried pastrami," onions, chopped pickles, and a drizzle of yellow mustard. It's a good-sized pizza, larger than a true individual pie, and enough for 2 people to share. The pastrami was savory without being too salty, while the pickles, onions and mustard all added nice pops of flavor without feeling like a gimmick. My one disappointment was that the pizza was not prepared well-done as requested, making the crust more doughy than crisp. Also, the temperature in the venue was darn near frigid, so my pizza got cold very quickly, which reduced my ability to enjoy it as much as I would have if the pie had been piping hot. Other food being enjoyed in close proximity to me looked and smelled very good (wings and burgers), and like I said, the people were all top notch hosts. So, while the final pizza prep could use some improvement, I think these folks are doing a very good job of making bar food that's more interesting and memorable than you'll find anywhere else in the area. Definitely stop in and give them a whirl.

The martini menu is large...it's the Egg Plantation omelette menu, but for martinis (iykyk). I love a martini that's on the sweeter side, usually a lemon drop, and I asked the bartender what she would suggest. I like trying new things. She didn't really help me with my question, but said that the orange martini I was thinking about would be good. It was extremely sweet! I do like a sweet martini, but I also like fresh juices in my drinks. It was nothing extraordinary, just average, which kind of surprised me for a place that sells itself as a martini bar. We also ordered some appetizers and, honestly, everything seemed like it was the same color...nothing fresh or unique or delicious. When a guy came out, who I later figured out was the manager or owner, he kind of said hello to us and then spent a lot of time talking to every other table at length. We are a gay couple, and I don't wanna go out on a limb to assume reasons why he didn't speak to us, but it did leave us wondering. Also, I'm usually someone who will have a minimum of two drinks, but we were not comfortable in the setting, nor was anything so compelling that I had to have another drink, so we quickly paid our check and left. When we left, we were still in the mood to have a drink and hang out somewhere, so we went to one of our favorites, Old Town Junction in Newhall. What a difference! The staff are so friendly with everybody who enters, the drinks are unique, fresh and delicious, and the food is inspired. I had a drink there that was not only delicious but also supported St. Jude's Hospital. And I had a corn risotto that was fresh and delicious. We had great conversations with the bartenders and with other people at the bar. We left feeling a sense of community. Not sure why I thought I wanted to try The Social again, but I won't go back.

The aforementioned, slow-cooked potato initially appears a bit like a whole boiled potato, but looks are deceiving. Because of the cooking method, the potato holds it's consistency and shape much more than a boiled or baked potato, cutting almost like a protein. It's solid but tender, and as it has absorbed quite a bit of flavor during the cooking, this potato is far tastier on its own than those other iterations. But you are NOT eating this potato unadorned. Oh no, this potato is dressed with caramelized onions, smoky bacon lardons, wild mushrooms and a rich, very flavorful demi-glace. All together, you've layers upon layers of flavor that make you ignore all distractions and really concentrate on the pleasure you're getting from your food. But that's not all... Perhaps the cleverest element of a dish composed entirely of clever elements is the Mornay Sauce. Snow white, and with enough of just the right cheese to add texture to the Bechemel without becoming too powerful, the sauce is plated on the bottom, with the potato resting atop it. Visually, this looks like mashed potatoes served underneath a protein, and it plays the same role texturally -- but because you wouldn't serve potatoes with a potato, the sauce is a lighter accompaniment, whose flavor marries perfectly with the more complex sauce coming from above, and you cannot help but marvel at this stroke of culinary magic. Just wow. I finished with a dessert of Key Lime Budino, which was rich and creamy with a serious hit of sour from the Key Lime. A nice and refreshing shift after the savory richness of my entree. How lucky are the people of Newhall and Santa Clarita that they have a restaurant making such interesting and excellent food? I come up at least once a month for a music event, and how lucky am I to have discovered this place to eat beforehand? And by the way: if you live in the San Fernando Valley, this place is really less than 30 minutes away (without traffic), so the next time you're thinking of going over the hill to a place in Beverly Hills or Santa Monica, you may want to head North instead. I promise you, The Old Town Junction will become your new favorite.
