The dough had the perfect texture, the underside had that beautiful leopard spotting, the sauce-to-cheese ratio was dialed in, and the cheese was clearly high quality. We finished the whole thing without hesitation. The vibe is super cool. My wife kept saying she couldn't believe we were still in Santa Clarita -- it felt more like being over the hill in WeHo. This time around it was the Society Toasted Rum Cocktail. They really know what they're doing n terms of creating delicious cocktails that are well mixed and balanced. We also got "Mark's Pie" - I mentioned in my original review that the NYC slices they were serving were pretty good but not my favorite in town, but the true star in their pizza game are these unique pie creations. Mark's Pie was a vegetarian feast, quite hearty and with all kinds of unique flavors in it that my wife and I loved. Gosh, I really wanted to like this place. And honestly, the food is pretty good. Why I only gave it one star? Because the service is horrific and the drinks are overpriced. Our less than qualified server spent more time chatting with the customers than paying attention to our table and realizing that she had forgotten to bring one of our guests drinks, for like 15 minutes. When she brought my drink to me, she spilled it all over my leg. She knew what she had done and did not apologize. Instead, she just handed me an extra napkin. We had a party of six and we spent almost $500. It was a surprise to us when our server presented our bill and she had added an automatic 20% gratuity. Apparently they consider parties of six to be "large parties" and the gratuity is automatically added. No wonder why she didn't step up on the service, she was going to get paid no matter what! Then, when we gave her our credit cards (three couples split) she told us that "Management does not allow us to split checks three ways." Huh??? We dine out quite often in this community, and we have never run into an issue like that. A couple other things that I'd like to note, 1. Two unisex restrooms for a large busy bar is not enough. There was a line pretty much most of the evening. 2. Bus the tables throughout the meal. Letting dishes and glasses pile up in between courses is not professional. 3. Let your customers modify the pizzas if they want to. We were told by the server that we were not allowed to change not one thing on any of the pizzas other than the cheese pizza. I think that's a little unreasonable. 4. For goodness sakes, bring in some linen napkins! If you want to present yourself as a classy place, and charge the prices that you are charging, you cannot use paper napkins. It's a turn off. At the end, all six of us have agreed that we will not go back. Just goes to show that it's not always about the food! read more

Our party of four arrived at about 6:00 on a Saturday without reservations. The hottest was able to move some people around and got us a table. That was great and the ambiance was equally great. We were greeted by our server and told that they didn't have any Meatballs for at least on hour. That was fine, but one of only the appetizers on the menu, was Meatballs. We had other appetizers and drinks. The drinks were good but a bit pricey at $20 each. All four of us ordered different pizzas. My wife's pizza had spinach and we were told by our server, a couple minutes later, that they were out of spinach. That was fine she just had the same pizza without spinach. Three of the pizza came out around the same time but one was about 15 minutes after the other three. The service was not great. We asked our server for more napkins but never got them. As per the menu we were given, we wanted to try the desert pizza that was listed as one of the three deserts. Great, our server took our order, but came back a few minutes later to tell us that the desert pizza was no longer on the menu. The same menu they were handing out to everyone in the place. They only had the tiramisu and cannoli, but they were out of the tiramisu. We got our check and left. Not sure we will go back. read more

This place is great! My wife and I have been multiple times, and we love it each time. Our last visit we each got a drink where were great, and we tried the eggplant royale appetizer and the Steve's Pie pizza and both were delicious. The chef even came out and talked to us briefly and offered us each a slice of a deep dish pizza he was testing that he called "grandma's pie" which was amazing as well. PLEASE don't tell me about the place that begins with a "T" on Valencia Blvd and uses a conveyor belt oven. And while the new one on Town Square Drive is good, this is better. Legitimate NY (NJ in my case) pizza here. The star is the crust which is thin crispy and delicious, obviously been fermented for a long time. Re: price, its better and still cheaper than the Town Square place so don't mind paying. Wow, that was legitimately the worst meal we have ever had. We went for Valentine's Day on their pre-fixed menu (mistake). A 4 course meal where only the salad was decent. Only 2-3 options for each course and somehow we both got the wrong order, handed out way too quickly from the kitchen which confirms that it was just sitting back there on warmers. The stuffed shells, the chicken Parmesan, whatever that apple turnover dessert was, was all burnt and chewy and barely edible. The servers were overwhelmed and rushing us through. It was a cash grab for sure. We should have left and spared ourselves the $72/head price. If we didn't laugh, we would surely cry. I won't be going back there ever again, even if we've had good food on another night. We were excited to try this place. We read about the fact that they don't allow substitutions or alterations to the food. Despite this pretentiousness, we decided to try it. With that attitude, it must be fabulous--well, no. We arrive, and the music is so loud that the host can't even hear us. We get seated, and my Apple Watch keeps giving me safety warnings about the decibel levels. My wife and I and our two guests are avid wine drinkers. We tried to find the wine list on the website, and it doesn't exist. We tried calling to ask about corkage, but they do not accept phone calls. We brought a bottle of wine, to be told, initially, that they don't allow outside wine. We asked what their wine options are and they have 14 Hands and Josh. Not much of a selection. They did agree to make an exception, and allow us to drink the wine we brought--and charged us $45. Finally, the food came--well, all but one pizza. Eventually, after inquiring where it was, we were told it was accidentally delivered to the wrong table and they would immediately get us the pizza. After 15 minutes, it did arrive--and the crust was burned. Perhaps this may have been worth it if the pizza was outstanding. It was not. It wasn't bad--but Slice Haus, Chi Chi's and a host of other local places are considerably better. The manager was very nice and they did comp the delayed and burnt pizza. Needless to say to say, we won't be returning. Update: To respond to the owners comments--this review was posted to Yelp and Google, the two most popular platforms for review.
