First time ordering Pick Up Stix and while it's not the best, ultimate 4 star restaurant, I was sure hell of impressed. I ordered through Postmates, the order was quick and all my food was hot. The first item ordered was the Spring rolls which were cooked perfectly, but had some kind of flavor I was not appreciative of. Doesn't mean other people wouldn't like them, trust me, it's a me thing. Also ordered the Kung Pao with fried rice and holy chestnuts!! It's so hard to get a good Kung Pao with chestnuts these days! Not to mention the portion was huge. It's going to take me at least three to four days to finish all this food. But that's because I also ordered the Mongolian Beef, which I asked for to be spicy. When I opened that, I was a bit nervous. You know how you kind of cringe trying beef at a new place? That was the feeling I had, but I was presently surprised. It was not Chewy, grisly or tough and the mushrooms were awesome. I wished it was about five times spicer, but again, that's a me thing. All and all, I would absolutely order from Pick up Stix again. Fresh, tasty food and so much of it, at an affordable price, which you really can't say that about much these days. Lastly, their Chow Mein and Fried Rice and pretty great. I preferred the Chow Mein over the Fried rice, which is usually the other way around, so we'll done. I also love tofu, so that is next on my list! read more

Years ago they had a location in Alhambra that we would frequent but it sadly closed. We ordered the Firecracker Tofu with steamed rice and a fountain drink. The meal looked like it would be very chili spicy but it was not, but it was good tasting. We shared this meal and it was more than enough food to satisfy our craving and curiosity. We never really think of pick up stix when it comes to Chinese food. We stopped at this plaza for some food while driving north. Compared to Panda Express, pick up stix seems more "gourmet", like it's made to order and not just sitting buffet style on hot plates. So it does take a bit for them to cook your food. We got the orange chicken and the drunken noodles. I know, drunken noodles is not Chinese but I wasn't feeling Chinese. We ate it in the car. And to my surprise, the drunken noodles taste really good! Generous portions. All the noodles were coated and didn't stick to each other, it was chewy and bouncy. The chicken pieces were thick and juicy and weren't dried out. I felt this is better than some Thai places I've been too, sadly. I thoroughly enjoyed it! It had a little spice to it bc I fed it to my baby and he cried and kept touching his tongue. I gave him milk and he felt better. My husbands orange chicken was good too, had good flavors. Even though we love trying new places all over California, sometimes you just need a comfort meal and you don't want to make it yourself. This is how I was feeling this weekend, so, we ordered in from Pick Up Stix. We had not tried their delivery service but, wow, it was at our door in less than 15 minutes, piping hot and beautifully packaged. This time we ordered Vegetable Spring Rolls, Garlic Tofu, House Tofu, Chow Mein, and Egg Fried Rice. See the pictures. Very generous portions, exquisitely seasoned, lots of fresh vegetables, noodles and rice (they gifted us white rice, fortune cookies and various sauces) perfectly chewy yet tender. Everything was exceptional. I finally feel we have reliable, excellent Asian food nearby and an effortless ordering and delivery experience online. And, the prices were very reasonable. I really like Pick Up Stix, been going here for years. My family loves the family packs. We get the awesome House Chicken every time and mix up some other dish for the 2nd choice. They are all pretty good. Fried rice is great too. The spring rolls have gotten better too and they travel well. My delivery still had them crispy and hot when it arrived. One thing that keeps happening is the chocolate dipped fortune cookies get thrown in with the hot items and show up melty. I like the selections on the menu, and they do update it a couple times throughout the year. It's a good choice for a mixed group who want meat / chicken and even vegetarian with their tofu choices, which are pretty good. They have a good reward system too and send out promotions in email frequently. The food is cooked quickly but tastes fresher than just sitting around in warming trays. We've never had a bad experience here in all the times we've come. The food is always fresh and always (almost ridiculously) hot! Though my visits here are few and far between because I live rurally over an hour away, the extra wait time for certain things only ensures it's fresh. I don't know if people expect it to be like Panda Express but the key words here are "express" which Pick Up Stix doesn't claim to be! All the employees are always kind and obviously working hard! I've never found the area to be dirty or have a ton of tables not bussed either so they do the best they can! Definitely will be back for more of that honey chicken! This is very good Chinese food. I only tried the beef with broccoli and the shrimp so far. Both were delicious. I also love the won ton with the cream cheese in it. Customer service has always been great. The restaurant isn't too small nor too big, but there are plenty of seating.
