I was undecided in Castaic, Ca what to eat . From selection where I park ( cross street from truck stop) . I gave WaBa grill a try , I was greed it by Sammy, manager. He ask me if this was my first time visiting . Yes it's my first time , so he educated me on WaBa. He educated me on health benefits on eating healthy . I was impressed on valuable info he share with me. Being a long haul driver , there's not to many good choices out there. He offers he's specials , where the food come from , what type and how it's cook. To me it made a huge impact on me how fast food should be Prepared. I think the food is good and healthy but the portions leave a lot to be disired. I realize some of the reviews say portions are good but I ordered a half and half which is a popular choice and when I opened it there was hardly any beef and very little chicken. Will try again hopefully next time they will be adequate, I will update my review the second time around. read more

Go here often now. Friendly service. They cook the food when you order, Not hours before. I don't recommend the beef, too chewy. But that is normal with all teriyaki places. Chicken is always good. Grilled shrimp side is good too. I recommend adding the avocado. I thought it sounded weird at first but it's great. read more

Delicious, healthy bowls and plates with brown rice and fresh steamed vegetables! They'd steak, short ribs, chicken, salmon, and shrimp. The salmon is wild salmon with teriyaki sauce and the portions are generous. You can add on a half of avocado and green onions. They have hot sauce and soy sauce, too. I visited this WaBa yesterday for lunch. First time at this one and certainly my last time. I ordered a tofu bowl with brown rice and veggies. Apparently the cashier was new and only charged me for tofu and brown rice. He never mentioned veggies being extra. After I paid I went to the restroom and when I came out the manager/owner was looking for me. He said excuse me but the cashier is new and messed up your order and we'll have to charge you extra for veggies. I just thought that was extremely petty. They could've taken care of that behind the scenes and not asked me for an additional $1.10. It wasn't much but just the point of it. I told the manager/owner that was bad business practice on his part. I said his error is not my problem. He looked dumbfounded and still asked for my credit card. I said fine here, charge me if you need it that badly. I highly recommend NOT going to this location. There are plenty of other places to eat at around there with good management I'm sure. read more

The manager here is awesome, staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable about where food is source. All their rice comes from California farms, non GMO, gluten free. Portions are good, I got the tofu bowl, which was super yummy, added a little extra wabba sauce and hot sauce to kick it up a little! Would recommend! read more

So fresh! Amazing quality of ingredients. The bowls are amazing and the new kale salads are actually delicious. I always hated kale, but I was trying to be healthy and was pleasantly surprised! It's not super fast because it's all natural so you'll have to wait a few minutes. You can even hear the workers in the back chopping up the meat! 5/30 our first time to a Waba Grill and our newest restaurant in our town. We had the chicken/steak plate and their ribs plate. The chicken and steak wasn't bad but the chicken was the best part. The ribs plate, the ribs, they we're so awful that my wife and I both said yuk tossed it in the trash and then said, that's the last time for Waba Grill. I think the chef should try the ribs before giving it to anyone...even our dog passed on some ribs. read more

I was very excited to hear that they were opening a Waba grill in my neighborhood Castaic. I was excited to share this experience with my kids since I'm always eating at the location in North Hollywood and I find the food delicious. Anyways the owners in different locations must make a difference because the portions at the location in my neighborhood Castaic are stingy. I ordered a half and half, took it home, and lo and behold hardly any chicken or beef I was pretty upset to say the least. The food still tastes good however I'm not sure if I will visit this location again unless they pile on the chicken and beef like they do at other locations. read more

So happy to have a healthier place in Castic besides McDonalds and other fast foods. Stopped here on the way to San Diego. We walked in and right away the guy working was so nice. Please don't lose the customer service. That's what keeps people coming back! I guess the guy could tell it was our first time there. He said their food isn't made fried in oils and all the other junk fast food places have. He suggested a couple items which we tried. I got the chicken and beef rice bowl with veggies. Most places make their brocolli to hard. Mine was softer and just right. Just tell them how you want it cooked. Food didn't take long to cook which was nice. The whole place is bright and has a happy feeling. Good music was playing too. Now we know our new place to come when we pass through Castaic. read more

Honestly it was about time castaic got something healthy and new. The workers are super nice and the environment is very hip. Good vibes from the manger too. Sunny, super nice and very caring on our food and making sure we are accommodated . I will come back and don't get me started on the food, it was so darn good . Everything was of quality and better yet they use no oil at all and the rice is awesome. I will come again and I recommend this place, they make everything fresh so it does take time , but it isn't a problem for me , this isn't a fast food joint like McDonald's this is real food. I never knock on companies, even if they aren't up to par, but this has to be one of the WORST businesses I've ever had to deal with. The customer service is terrible. It's a joke. Horrible isn't even a word that will come close. If you want "fast food" this is not the place to go. This is the second and LAST TIME I've had to wait for my food longer than any other "fast food" restaurant. The first time I came in, it was 3pm (dead time). Nobody else was in the place except for me and 2 other couples that had already been eating. No one in the drive thru either. I place my order. I wait.....10 minutes later I wait (2 customers have now came in and placed their orders)....20 minutes later I wait with a little aggravation building up (1 more customer ordered and the 2 customers have already gotten their food).....30 minutes later I'm STILL WAITING (2 cars from the drive thru have left with their orders). Keep in mind I am in clear sight of the cashier, manager, AND cook. 35 minutes later I'm f****** livid. I come to the counter and ask them where my food is at. Everyone looks confused as hell and the manager said it was taking longer to cook my steak because "It's busy". BULLS***! Every customer AFTER ME has already gotten their food around me AND the drive thru. Anyways, after 40 PATIENT MINUTES they finally give me my order and say, "I'm sorry we were so busy, here's a free avocado" (that normally costs a ripoff of $1.50). REALLY?? YOU WERE 'BUSY?' I was the first customer in and last one out 40 minutes later! A total of 5 customers including drive thru ordered in 40 minutes time. Wake up, admit your faults that you forgot my order even though I was the first one in there. One month later, hoping they got their crap together, I come in around 2:30pm(dead time again) and I decided to take the 'faster' route for the drive thru since it should be faster service. Before I drove to the drive thru, I glanced inside; no customers in there. I place my order for 2 bowls (keep this in mind). I drive up to the window with 1 customer in front. They pay and I pull up to the window. I pay and wait........10 minutes later I wait....20 minutes later they finally give me my order like nothing happened. I asked upset, "What took so long?" They respond with, "Sorry we were really busy." WHAT THE!?!?!?!?!? Is your entire staff trained to say those words when you continue making careless mistakes and forgetting customers? I had to respond with "There's been no one in the restaurant....." There response back was, "Our food is made to order." I respond with, "It's never taking this long with customers I've seen before." Now...here's the best part. The male manager/owner responds with, "Oh it all depends on who's working and how busy we are. Waba Grill wasn't made for drive-thru. We aren't McDonald's. We don't make hamburgers and all that stuff." The tone of sarcasm was beyond what I've heard any restaurant pull. ARE....YOU...KIDDING...ME. You aren't made for a drive-thru but yet you have a drive-thru in your own establishment??? This has got to be the stupidest, moronic, egotistical statement I've ever heard. I'm sorry you being a boss, you can not accept the fact that you are horrible at what you do. You probably shouldn't a manager, or better yet an owner of a restaurant that is completely hypocritical. Your crappy attitude and making fun of a neighboring restaurant who's made BILLIONS shows how much class you have in the business world. I will never eat here again. I advise everyone else to do the same. Flame broiler has a ticket time of less than 8 minutes and they deliver every.single.time. I will make the 25 minute drive to your competing company to get better tasting food and service that actually treats customers like humans. Oh and by the way, I received ONE fork in my bag with the TWO bowls I ordered. No need to go on about that. read more
