I love going to real delis like this rather than the chains. This is inside a gas station. It's a simple deli with solid ingredients. Sandwiches have good portions for fair prices. Service is friendly and quick as well. I like that they have kids portions (which is half a sandwich) and a variety of meats and cheeses. Toppings are a little basic. Make this shorter I used my Chevron Credit Card, but they charged me the credit/debit card price instead of the Chevron Card price. The store claimed it was a "gift Chevron card" or cash for that rate. This pricing discrepancy feels dishonest and unfair. I've never encountered such price gouging, and it's frustrating. read more

I'm updating this review to 5 stars. After coming back and getting served By LOU! If you are lucky enough to get your sandwich made by LOU! You are in for a treat. He noted and I quote, "I know how to make a damn good sandwich! and indeed he did! He is way more personable than the other gentleman I dealt with prior. Was also informed you can make your sandwiches with half and half meat or cheeses. My sister was able to get a turkey and roast beef because she didn't know which sandwich she wanted, so Lou said why not have both and get and half. -score! I just wish this spot wasn't so far from me. Either way if I'm ever by Six Flags, I'll def make a stop to get a bomb sandwich! Only 2 prices as far as I can see. 7.99 for regular and 9.99 for large which means extra meat. Excellent selection of meats and fillings and bread. We got the large because we figured we could take out the extra meat if we didn't want but we certainly could not add after we arrived at our destination 150 miles away. One of us had the Italian combo on a French roll with everything and one of us had the Black Forest ham on rye and also with everything. Fresh and delicious! Tasty and filling and NOT DRY. I hate chokeable sandwiches. And so much sandwich for the money. And super sweet sandwich makers. We love this place. We usually fill with diesel here but now we are adding sandwiches to this stop on our way south and north. read more

I'm really on the fence about this place. As a store, I like that it has a variety of things for camping, fishing, and noshing. What we came here for were the sandwiches. We've been here twice, and while my husband thinks the sandwiches are the bees knees, I'm not all that impressed. Yes, they pile the meat on the sandwiches. Yes, they have a nice variety. But I tend to like my meat evenly doled out over the bread - my sandwich had all the meat piled into the center. Also, it wasn't particularly flavourful. And, for the 2nd order, my husband's and my sandwiches were mixed up. His bread, my meat, his fixings. My bread, his meat my fixings. I was disappointed when we finally had lunch and we had to disassemble both our sandwiches to get anything close to what we ordered. Personally? I can think of other places who make a better sandwich, and to whom I will go when I want one. I don't understand the hoopla about Gallions sandwiches. read more

We all know what this place is famous for and it's not the gas. Let's talk about the gas though... it's convenient to fill up here when you have a boat attached because the pumps aren't so close. It is also convenient to pull in and out of the driveway with the boat or a trailer which is a must for people hauling stuff. Now let's get to the good stuff.... The sandwiches are amazing. Every time. Every sandwich. I have tried many and never have I been disappointed. This was my first time here, and based on the prior Yelp reviews I decided to give it a try.  I ordered a large, cracked pepper turkey on a wheat roll.  I'm usually a big eater, and this sandwich definitely was filling and tasty.  With sandwiches I usually base them on bread, quality of products used, and size.  The only complaint I had about this sandwich was the bread as I had hoped for a better tasting roll.  It wasn't horrible, but rather generic and soft.  I do prefer hard rolls.  There was not much flavor to the roll, however the turkey and rest of the ingredients made up for the lack luster bread.  If I was ever in the area again and needed a go to sandwich, I would consider going back, and maybe trying the white roll this time. read more

Ok... stopped here bc I was taking my dad fishing. Based on the outside I was not expecting much. Just a regular old gas station, which I don't normally eat from. However, when I checked out fishing blogs and reviews it enticed me to consider stopping not only for a fishing license but maybe lunch. The big sub sandwich chain that's green and yellow logo, which I hate and think is gross and mostly dirty, should take a lesson. The sandwiches here were delicious. After living in the area for years and driving by, I thought I would try it. Hate to say it by Subway makes better sandwiches. 2 slices of turkey on the sandwich, really! We stopped in here and got Italian sandwiches, which were both good - especially considering the only other local sandwich shop is a Subway. I love that you're able to customize what goes on the sandwich. And I love that this location isn't just sandwiches, it's a market so you can get basically anything you could imagine as far as drinks. It was cheaper than Subway and a better quality sandwich for sure, we only spent $14 something and got 2 regular sandwiches, chips, and 2 drinks.
