The waba sauce is so damn good. The spicy waba sauce is by far and away superior the balance of sweet and spicy is a blend that just will blow you away. I got 2 chicken and 1 shrimp. the girl could add drinks to my order she made me pay first than took my drink order. She charged me and walked away and didn't give me my cups. Camarillo now has a Waba Grill! A good teriyaki bowl place is something Camarillo has been missing. I came here on a Sunday. As I walked in, there was a weird smell. I look toward the bathroom and sure enough, there's an out of order sign, that explains it. It was late in the afternoon on a Sunday after they just had a grand opening, I guess it would be difficult to get a plumber in. I ordered 2 waba bowls and 10pc dumplings. However when I got home I had 1 waba (half chicken, half steak) and 1 steak bowl. I ordered 1 without cabbage and the other without carrots so that may have had the cooks concentrating more on getting my exclusions right and they forgot the chicken in a bowl. I wasn't upset as the price is the same and the steak was doubled to compensate for the missing chicken. Aside from messing up on the order, customer service was great. The girl at the counter was so nice, she didn't know how to tell me they don't have cauliflower in their veggies. I originally ordered 1 no carrots, 1 no cauliflower, as it has been a while since I'd been to a Waba but I remembered there was something with a C I didn't like in my bowl. She looked at me puzzled, and said "um, the veggies we have are broccoli, carrots and cabbage." I again said "yeah, so no cauliflower." Why did my brain equate cabbage to cauliflower, I don't know, I was tired, wasn't listening, in a fog, etc. So she enters one waba bowl, and says "ok so 1 no carrots and the other noooo???" I again said "uhhh, no cauliflower." At this point I'm thinking "is this chick not listening?" Then it occurs to me, she never said cauliflower when reading the veggies they have. I asked "wait what veggies were they again?" She repeats them and I say "ohhh, I meant cabbage, sorry, cabbage." She nicely smiled and completed the order. I can only imagine the girl went home thinking "how dumb are people that they don't know the difference between cabbage and cauliflower." My first time ordering. The app was easy. The food was ready when I arrived. I was greeted nicely. The store and bathroom were clean. My order was correct. 2 salads. Asian w salmon and signature w chicken and steak. My food was very mediocre. The proteins were cooked nicely and were fine. Not great quality but ok. But... the lettuce was limp and lifeless with no flavor. No crispness at all. And there was the odd flavor of most likely not being fully rinsed. We picked thru for the proteins and ate the bags of wontons but threw out the lettuce. It wasn't a bad experience just not satisfying, delicious or filling. read more

Well it was the worst experience I've had at a WaBa so far. I place an order thru the app. First, food was estimated to be ready 20 minutes after I placed order but when husband picked up he had to wait an additional 20 minutes. Second, while he was waiting he said the kitchen was chaotic and employees were yelling at each other. When they finally got their together they started clearing out the customers that were waiting prior to him. And third, they got two out of three rice bowls wrong, missing sides, missing ingredients, added wrong ingredients; and the chicken was not edible as most was chewing or undercooked. Could have been a lot better. Called my order for 2 steak bowls into the store. Easy, right? So I show up at the store and the guy running the pass asks my name. He looks at the orders and says, not ready yet. With two people in line, I wait 10 minutes for them to order. I tell the cashier that I'm here, and she looks around and shazam, there is my order sitting next to her on her left. It's been sitting there for the Pope knows how long - easy the ten minutes I've waited. So I ask and am told no you need to order online and pay online to avoid the line. Of course, I can barely hear her over the chopping and banging going on. So when I get home it's cold. just for chuckles, I decided to weigh the steak. On my home scale, it's 3.5 oz. The bowl is filled with rice. No veggies (those are a buck more). $11 bucks for 3.5 oz dryed-out overcooked steak? The cashier is an introvert. Who hires these people for a customer interactive position? I've only been here once before but the "franchise team" was there. It still took 20 minutes to get my order. Go elsewhere. It was an all around horrible experience. The workers didn't seem to care about anything - all the tables were dirty and the order counter was sticky. They sighed like they were being "put out" when I asked for some napkins to clean off a dirty table. When we tried to order, they claimed they were out of white rice and iced tea, but the group right after us ordered both white rice and iced tea. We asked for no sauce on one of the bowls because my mom can't eat wheat, and they poured it on anyway. Then were rude when I asked them to remake it. We won't go back. read more
