Looking for an informal dinner while the car was charging. The mall has at least 4 fast food options. We decided to try WaBa Grill since we had never tried it before. Good choice!!! The restaurant is fairly small with only a few tables to dine in. You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table when it is ready. Miguel, working the counter, was very helpful in explaining the menu options. I decided to go with the sweet and spicy chicken bowl ($9) with a side of sweet and spicy chicken ($5) with a combo of white rice and veggies. Surprisingly large portion for the price (see photo). Very tasty but a bit too spicy for my gringo palate. My wife went with the mini-bowl (see photo for the comparison of the two sizes). Plus she got a side chicken taco ($2). And as a bonus, if you download the app, they give you 25% off your first order. Great deal! Will definitely eat here again when I stop to charge. read more

To make matters worse, the link provided for feedback only leads to a FAQ page, and the email address listed appears to be incorrect or no longer monitored. When we attempted to send feedback, the message was returned as undeliverable with an "Address not found" error. We then contacted customer service directly and were assured that someone would reach out to us with a resolution. Unfortunately, we have yet to receive any follow-up by phone or email. Between the incorrect order, missing items, and lack of communication afterward, this experience was extremely disappointing. I believe this was first time having waba grill and it definitely did not disappoint. We got it delivered but everything was packaged nice and labeled properly. I got the steak and chicken bowl and it was very good. Nice juicy and tender. The chicken was char nicely but still juicy also delicious. I want to talk about the sauce. The waba sauce is so damn good. The spicy waba sauce is by far and away superior the balance of sweet and spicy is a blend that just will blow you away. The dumplings were ok just not special. read more

Great food and affordable. A healthy fast food. Great service too. I love the Waba sauce.

I am definitely disappointed because I asked for light rice. That burrito was totally loaded and had more than the meat. I got my food to go so don't have much to say about service and ambience. read more

I didn't actually go to the store to order the food, it was brought to us. The food was fresh, and we enjoyed that it was plain so we could add the flavoring we wanted. There are lots of sauce options and it was great since we were feeding adults and kids. I'd definitely go here again. read more

Camarillo now has a Waba Grill! A good teriyaki bowl place is something Camarillo has been missing. I came here on a Sunday. As I walked in, there was a weird smell. I look toward the bathroom and sure enough, there's an out of order sign, that explains it. It was late in the afternoon on a Sunday after they just had a grand opening, I guess it would be difficult to get a plumber in. I ordered 2 waba bowls and 10pc dumplings. However when I got home I had 1 waba (half chicken, half steak) and 1 steak bowl. I ordered 1 without cabbage and the other without carrots so that may have had the cooks concentrating more on getting my exclusions right and they forgot the chicken in a bowl. I wasn't upset as the price is the same and the steak was doubled to compensate for the missing chicken. Aside from messing up on the order, customer service was great. The girl at the counter was so nice, she didn't know how to tell me they don't have cauliflower in their veggies. I originally ordered 1 no carrots, 1 no cauliflower, as it has been a while since I'd been to a Waba but I remembered there was something with a C I didn't like in my bowl. She looked at me puzzled, and said "um, the veggies we have are broccoli, carrots and cabbage." I again said "yeah, so no cauliflower." Why did my brain equate cabbage to cauliflower, I don't know, I was tired, wasn't listening, in a fog, etc. So she enters one waba bowl, and says "ok so 1 no carrots and the other noooo???" I again said "uhhh, no cauliflower." At this point I'm thinking "is this chick not listening?" Then it occurs to me, she never said cauliflower when reading the veggies they have. I asked "wait what veggies were they again?" She repeats them and I say "ohhh, I meant cabbage, sorry, cabbage." She nicely smiled and completed the order. I can only imagine the girl went home thinking "how dumb are people that they don't know the difference between cabbage and cauliflower." Anyway, despite the busted toilet, and the messed up order, the food was good and I'll be coming back when in the area. read more

so not only did I get charged for 3 tacos but asked for 1 steak 1 chicken and 1 shrimp . I got 2 chicken and 1 shrimp. the girl could add drinks to my order she made me pay first than took my drink order. She charged me and walked away and didn't give me my cups. Had to wait for her to chat with the workers in the back before she saw me still standing at the counter looked annoyed that I was still standing there. She walked up and asked if there was anything else and I told her yes I needed my cups for drinks. read more

Vegetarians/Vegans beware We order from Waba often. Usually, we like it. It's a great quick healthier meal at a reasonable price. I really like the Waba sauce. Veggies are always cooked perfectly. But recently, I had an issue that really wasn't okay. One member of our family is vegan and really likes their plantinspired bowl. We ordered through a delivery service. When she opened her bowl, luckily, she noticed it was NOT the plantinspired bowl it was BEEF (they look very similar) I called the restaurant and was informed they ran out of plantinspired, so substituted it with beef (not the tofu they also have) ?!?!?!? So please be aware read more

Delicious every time! Tacos are great too! Boom boom sauce is a hit! I like how I can customize my bowl on their app, 3rd party delivery services don't give that option. Order through the WaBa app for great promos and delivery service is affordable on their app! Enjoy! read more

I ordered the boom boom tacos. Two chicken, one beef. I took a couple of bites of the beef taco and found something hard that almost brook my tooth. I threw the rest away. Also the taco was too salty... yuk! I will never ever buy from wabu grill again! I've deleted the app as well! read more

Food was great, it was Clean and staff very friendly. The gentleman working even turned off the music so my little boy could watch the cartoon on the tv. read more

My first time ordering. The app was easy. The food was ready when I arrived. I was greeted nicely. The store and bathroom were clean. My order was correct. 2 salads. Asian w salmon and signature w chicken and steak. My food was very mediocre. The proteins were cooked nicely and were fine. Not great quality but ok. But... the lettuce was limp and lifeless with no flavor. No crispness at all. And there was the odd flavor of most likely not being fully rinsed. We picked thru for the proteins and ate the bags of wontons but threw out the lettuce. It wasn't a bad experience just not satisfying, delicious or filling. read more

Well it was the worst experience I've had at a WaBa so far. I place an order thru the app. First, food was estimated to be ready 20 minutes after I placed order but when husband picked up he had to wait an additional 20 minutes. Second, while he was waiting he said the kitchen was chaotic and employees were yelling at each other. When they finally got their together they started clearing out the customers that were waiting prior to him. And third, they got two out of three rice bowls wrong, missing sides, missing ingredients, added wrong ingredients; and the chicken was not edible as most was chewing or undercooked. Very disappointing. Do better!!!! read more

Very little portion of food especially the Chicken! I counted seven pcs! They were small to my opinion! The beef was tasty but again, not enough! I had more rice to eat but no more meat to eat! I couldn't eat the vegetables, they were too tough! I like my vegetables softer! Sorry I m very unhappy with the price I paid for the meal I received! The small portion will made it a good reason not to go back! I learn my lesson well! read more

Could have been a lot better. Called my order for 2 steak bowls into the store. Easy, right? So I show up at the store and the guy running the pass asks my name. He looks at the orders and says, not ready yet. With two people in line, I wait 10 minutes for them to order. I tell the cashier that I'm here, and she looks around and shazam, there is my order sitting next to her on her left. It's been sitting there for the Pope knows how long - easy the ten minutes I've waited. So I ask and am told no you need to order online and pay online to avoid the line. Of course, I can barely hear her over the chopping and banging going on. So when I get home it's cold. just for chuckles, I decided to weigh the steak. On my home scale, it's 3.5 oz. The bowl is filled with rice. No veggies (those are a buck more). $11 bucks for 3.5 oz dryed-out overcooked steak? The cashier is an introvert. Who hires these people for a customer interactive position? I've only been here once before but the "franchise team" was there. It still took 20 minutes to get my order. Go elsewhere. The typical franchisee is typtotally untrained and struggling. Hey, franchisor your training stinks. And your portion/price is way out of line. And the food quality is -- well awful. read more

Very good food, and above all healthy... good food for a good lifestyle, carbs and protein

It was an all around horrible experience. The workers didn't seem to care about anything - all the tables were dirty and the order counter was sticky. They sighed like they were being "put out" when I asked for some napkins to clean off a dirty table. When we tried to order, they claimed they were out of white rice and iced tea, but the group right after us ordered both white rice and iced tea. We asked for no sauce on one of the bowls because my mom can't eat wheat, and they poured it on anyway. Then were rude when I asked them to remake it. We won't go back. read more
