Food was very good. We ordered the $10 wrap deal. Fries were excellent. The place surprised me because of it's size and the well worn condition of the place. I don't see this in any other habit I've eaten. Service was somewhat slow, but people were nice and food was very good. read more

Wanted to grab a bite to eat while charging the car. Easy access to several fast food restaurants close to these Superchargers - the closest being Habit Burger and Grill. so thought I'd give it a try. Very crowded at 6 PM on a Thursday. The restaurant is pretty small - only a few indoor tables - mostly tables for two. It was also pretty noisy with a lot of people standing around waiting for their take out meals plus music over the speakers. My wife and I shared the BBQ Chicken salad ($12.70). It comes with ranch dressing on the side. The portion size was surprisingly large for the price. Generous amounts of chicken and bacon plus onion and corn. Very tasty. The staff behind the counter were all friendly and helpful. I would return here for take out but would try one of the other fast food eateries that share this parking lot if I needed to dine in next time I need to charge at this location. read more

After a while, we decided to give it a try again. Definitely improved! Customer service is great! Food is usually on time for mobile orders. Everything is cooked thoroughly and still hot by the time we get home! We now come at least once a week! Tip: Add the crispy fry option if you're doing mobile orders so your fries wont be soggy ! read more

My granddaughter came to visit us from Arizona. Went to Santa Barbara to the pier, spent time there, then decided to get a bite to eat. Saw the Habit on State St. Walked in, ordered and a gentleman named Sergio, took our order with a smile and welcomed us. We ordered, the food was Amazing , but the service was better. He really was interested in us being happy to be there. Felt like a family atmosphere. Found out only at the end, he is the General Manager of the establishment!! Definitely will be back and refer my family and friends there. Keep up the great service Sergio and staff!! Muchas Gracias read more

People are good and friendly but they messed up my orders almost every time I stop there, today I order a double char they charge me for bacon and I ended with a bbq single cheeseburger, and unfortunately this happened very often read more

The Habit offers a wide selection of burgers, salads, and sides. My wife and I enjoyed a Ceasar salad, burger, and fries. The restaurant could focus a little bit more on cleaning the tables as they turn over, but overall the service was good. I did like that they have a paging system as that makes it easy if you were outside to know that your order is ready. read more

This is one of the smallest Habits I've seen, it felt quite cramped. I don't know if this is a remnant of Covid or they never had a pepper bar but you have to specifically ask for any peppers when you receive your order. Same thing for ketchup and other sauces. Fries were on the soggy side and greasy. read more

Pleasant staff but possibly the worst hamburger ever on this planet. Onion rings were cold and stale. And to everyone and no one: NO ONE LIKES STARRY. Get sprite. Get 7Up. Get a clue! Boo. And our food cost basically $30 - ugh. Over priced and completely crappy. read more

Haven't been here in years but I remember I used to like their burgers. Got the double char and they tasted like it was just reheated. There's hardly seating inside and there's a bunch of kiosks replaced the ketchup and pepper counter. The vibes suck here it's not family friendly and food was worse than McDonald's. read more

one worker here is very unfriendly. I went in on september 17 right when they opened at 10 am, but needed to use the restroom first and I asked the opening worker if I could please have the code to the restroom. A brunette woman cleaning the tables with her hair in a bun told me it was only for customers. I asked her again politely if I could please use the restroom and she said no, if I need the restroom to go home and use it. She had no Idea I wanted to order after I use the bathroom and only assumed I wasnt a customer. Even if I wasnt a customer, anybody else could have been a POTENTIAL customer but after being treated the way I was from this woman with an asian accent (dont know her name) it would be a 100% deal breaker. Her attitude was terrible.100% opposite of kind, helpful, and friendly. Very disappointed. I feel bad that This location has a worker with this attitude towards customers. I would not come back to eat here. read more

Selling a Chicken Club half sandwich combo for 10$. But its not a Chicken club, its a burger on a half bun. The new beef is not good tbh the chicken is ok but last time I got a SB Chicken Club at this location it was raw. I figured for sure it wouldnt get messed up this time. Wrong, not only was it not chicken it didnt even make sense. Apparently if it says half char on the reciept that means its a burger. I didnt know the advertising was manipulative and you had to order it just right. Just sell what you show. Gross. Anyways it was terrible because who eats a burger on sourdough. Coming to probably get a replacement since i doubt theyll do a refund, and unfortunately washing my hands of this place. Foods either unsafe or wrong, and the whole location smells like a toilet. 0/10 And I love the habit. read more

I ordered the mango miso salad. It did not come with the advertised salad dressing. Some idiot gave me ranch instead. I also ordered and paid for extra almond/wonton mix and didn't get that either. How do you mess this up? Fast food workers are paid enough money that they should be able to get a very simple order right. I am NOT happy. This is not the first time we've had trouble with online orders from this place. Check your takeout order BEFORE walking out of the restaurant. Incompetence abounds. read more

Happy Birthday to me! Stopped by to grab my free char burger with cheese :) I opted to add another meat patty and also purchased fries. I asked for a water cup. Next time , I'll pay for a drink. The tap water is not good and tasted so bad. It was busy and I was lucky to have found a seat. They try to keep the place clean but with so many people, it was hard to find a clean table. I cleaned my table before sitting. I did not have the best customer service when grabbing my food. Perhaps because they are so busy , they are overwhelmed. Understood, however I prefer a tiny bit of friendliness. read more

Baja Crispy Fish: Don't waste your money! Terrible, tiny, tasteless sandwich. Zero thought went into the bun. I'd prefer a Filet-O-Fish over this, and I'd be $9 richer. How about asking a Southerner for their cole slaw recipe? I'd gladly give you mine. I love you, Habit, but you really disappointed me today. read more

This location isn't as good as the others Ive been to :o/ Plenty of parking and the store itself is a shoebox! Only a few tables inside. There's a lot of patio seating so that's good. I ordered a grilled chicken salad and they dumped like a half cup or more of croutons on it for one thing and... the lettuce wasn't as fresh and crispy as it normally is. The tomato slices were mealy (so not fresh). Not sure I'd recommend this Habit location. read more

It's a sad day at Habit. Counter person said it would be a 15 minute wait to order in person. The downhill slide started with going cheap and substituting Pepsi for Coke. Horrible manager. I downloaded the app to redeem the free char promo and when I placed the order the app showed me the promo was applied to the order. When I got into the store she said I "didn't do it right" and could not give the burger even though I showed her the app said it was redeemed. She told me "well you can buy another drink and then I can do it". I asked if she can do a refund, said no. Told me to call customer service and they could process a refund immediately over the phone. When I called I was told that was not correct and that I would have to fill out a form, contact a different department, and that it would not be an immediate refund. She kept cutting me off and smiling saying "nooo I can't do that" and seemed annoyed that she had to help me. read more

First off the cashier that helped me was amazing!! He is always super kind and pleasant. Thank you for that. Customer service for me is huge part of me buying from a restaurant. Also, for some reason every time I go in to the Camarillo store, the working manager is always grumpy, annoyed, or rude! That's not ok. I will not be returning to The Habit now because you have changed my favorite menu item, which is the Santa Barbara Cobb salad. It no longer comes with egg, blue cheese, or cherry tomatoes and it's much smaller. You are trying to get too fancy with the petite green lettuce and pickled onions. Gross! Your salad menu has completely changed and that's one of the reasons I come to the Habit. I cannot eat gluten, so your restaurant was one of my go to's. This is very unfortunate. Tonight, I was very excited to bring my meal home and eat with my family when I quickly saw my SB Cobb salad was not the same at all. What a disappointment!! I paid almost $60 for meals that were no longer made the same way. So frustrating And disappointing. Please change the food back read more

Good food but ridiculously expensive. $4.00 for a large drink and $1.00 if you want additional dressing for your salad or rings.

So I know Habit is known for their burgers, but...they are my go to spot for a quick delicious grilled chicken salad. Packed full of veggies and tasty grilled chicken, I haven't found a better fast food spot for a salad. Love the cucumber, carrots and crunchy croutons. You can't forget the sweet potato fries, decent crisp and good flavor. My boys enjoy their burgers and we have been happy with our meal each time. My only slight complaint is that they have gotten our order wrong a couple of times, but they always make it right if you let them know. The Cam location is a bit small, but offers nice outdoor seating. I have done curbside a couple of times and it is sooo convenient vs. getting my two toddlers out of the car. read more

Stopped yesterday to pick up a lunch to go and usually I don't consume fast food because of the obvious reasons... but sometimes I make some exceptions and have cheat days . One of the reasons is to have access to Fast food ! Well the habit was a wrong decision for that matter when I had to wait 20 min for a simple order to go , just a veggie burger with a side of " roasted cauliflower ". All in one , it was a bad experience! Waited for my order 20 min , the cauliflower was a watery mess - see the carton box starting disintegrating from the excess moisture... it was watery steamed cauliflower not roasted , no flavor no seasonings! And when I asked for sauces , they informed me that I need to pay for sauces/ condiments! What in the actually duck? LOL It's like ordering a coffee and you need to pay for sugar !!! Your burgers needs some sauces because you slathered some cheap mayo on bread and that's all the prep! Everything was in a vault in the store, no more napkins to grab, no more hot peppers or ketchup, everything was behind the counter like in jewelry stores, it became all their valuables LOL For $20/hr plus tipping their service it's still not professional! read more

It's no wonder this Habit has 3 stars. The food is always great but the service today was disappointing. I did curbside today but when i asked for yellow peppers the girl said I had to get off to get them. Habit Burger & Grill - Uncooked :/ - Burgers Near Me - Camarillo, California

Service has gone down hill significantly since Yum Brands (owner of Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, etc.) bought out Habit. Reps are rude. Went in with my family recently. My wife wanted to ask if a substitution could be made on one of their burgers. When I walked in I was told they would be a few minutes as they were preparing pick-up orders. I started to use the touch screen order system but realized there was no where to request the substitution, so I politely waited. After five min or so, another rep came back from break and pointed at the screens telling us to order there. I said "no thanks, I need help", and the rep copped an attitude and said it would be a few minutes even though I had already been waiting a bit. Eventually the first rep came to help and was able to make the substitution. They also started charging for ranch. Not a huge deal but kind of annoying. It's just more proof that Yum Brands sucks. read more

This Habit is absolutely dreadful. Food is way overpriced and charging for any sort of extra sauce. I've been going to The Habit for years in Santa Barbara and Ventura. Not a fan of this location at all. I'll take my business across the freeway to In & Out. Better food and prices over there. read more

Quick, friendly & the quality I expect. Easy access on & off the freeway - good when you're on the road.

This location just doesn't do the restaurant justice. Don't recommend if you're on a schedule. Ever time I have gone here for pick up they are always over a half hour late. Although I would like to note when you get a fresh burger from here it's delicious. The last couple times for me it hasn't been the case because they have been soggy for some reason and just plain not good. They can (when fresh) have very good sweet potato fries as well as good milkshakes. I'm going to keep going back since it's the closest one to me. Hopefully some how this review will get noticed and they will try and improve on some things. read more

Just got back from The Habit Burger in Camarillo. We were given a free burger coupon with a $10 purchase. We will NOT be patronizing this restaurant. read more

Food as always is very good. I love the food, but their service and their policies regarding charging you extra .60 cents for extra ranch dressing for your onion rings make them seem tacky and cheap in addition to the kiosk they installed. They have less cashiers now and tell you to use a kiosk or wait 3 to 5 minutes which I did. I'm not a fan kiosk when I have special orders. I spent $20.77 for lunch you would think they wouldn't make a deal about some extra sauce. They started this new policy in August 2024. read more

This one, and all the locations I've been to since, are kept very clean.   Also, no matter the location -- I've experienced consistency across the chain (good job corporate trainers!).  Whether you choose burgers, fries, salads, chicken sandwiches, or all four -- it's fresh, good quality, well-priced, and quick. My favorite burger is the Teriyaki Char Burger with Cheese -- love that charbroiled flavor and sweet tangy sauce.  It's nearly impossible to avoid their combo with fries (fresh, superb) & a drink -- heck yeah!.  It's fast food prices, and yet, no sacrifice on quality whatsoever. I also highly recommend their salads.  They have several kinds to choose from.  More than half of my visits I would order the Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad, and I have them add bbq or teriyaki sauce atop.  It is supreme!  The chicken is served warm, and again, love that char flavor. Randy likes.  For this price range, it's an excellent choice. =============================================== Location specific: Camarillo, CA (Camarillo Plaza on Daily Dr) =============================================== * Bad design: it feels cramped during the ordering and pickup process.
