Finney's isn't just a place we go -- it's basically part of the family routine at this point. We're there 1-2 times a week, easy. So when we made the trip to Ventura to pick up some prime Grandma Chic furniture for the most beautiful woman in the world, there was zero chance we weren't making a Finney's stop. While the girls did their thrift-shopping thing, my son-in-law and I held down the patio with a couple hazy IPAs and some quality relaxation. The staff was all over it in the best way -- attentive, friendly, and more than willing to come admire the puppy. We kicked things off with the bone-in honey chicken wings, which absolutely did their job. Then it was on to the mains: my go-to prosciutto and arugula pizza, Neeko's Peggy's chicken, MBWITW's usual salad, and a burger for Crazy Kid #2. This place just doesn't miss. There's a reason we come here 5-6 times a month. Great food, great drinks, great vibe, fair prices, and consistently good service. That's a hard combo to beat. Standard brewhouse setup with a bar and TVs. I like the outdoor areas though. Service is solid, the guys at the bar are attentive and dealt with a ton of crap from the lady two seats from me. Needy af. The guys come to check often, you don't need to call for them, I promise. However, the food is lacking. The fries are good but the Bison Burger tastes like a McDonald's burger with some spice. Thin patties, thick buns. Just a bad combo. I need the fucking owner to go back and look at the footage of what happened on April 21t Tell me where me and my coworker who are from out of town who will be here for six months are to explain that we were treated like complete bullshit. We had four cops come and pull us out because apparently we were too obnoxious, but I would like the order to go back and look at the entire footage and see how me and my coworker were the least amount of problems that night. Finally decided to check this place out. I joined the waitlist when I was leaving the house so we walked right up and were seated within 2-3 minutes. It was Saturday mid day and was pretty packed. The table was too small for 4 people but we made do. Cheese sticks were the best I've ever had. So good! Onions rings were a pass.. didn't care for them at all. I ordered mahi tacos and didn't care for them. The sauce they used was too spicy for me. Son got fajitas and he enjoyed them. Daughter got a burger and she said it was ok. Next time I'll probably just stick to a salad or wrap. But we'll definitely be back, if not just for the cheese sticks. They were bomb!! read more

Our menu choices sounded great and they were presented nicely. However, the burger was well-done when ordered medium-rare. It was flavorless and dry. My prime rib Philly steak sandwich was dry & the grilled meat was crispy and crumbly. It was not even close to a true steak sandwich. The fish tacos & the other sandwich ordered were palatable. The only positives about the food were the sides...the onion ring, fries, potato & tortilla chips were good. Our server was basically attentive. My wife's chicken salad was also bad - something gritty (the ground up croutons or cotija cheese?) was in the salad and the dressing was blah. I had a great time at Finney's. We came in the evening and waited nearly an hour for a table for two. However, the lively and upbeat atmosphere made the wait slightly more bearable. Once seated, our waitress greeted us right away. She was friendly and provided excellent service. I ordered the boneless Parmesan wings and absolutely loved them. Definitely something I'd get again. I'm only giving this place 2 stars because my wife likes the grilled cheese and tomato soup. As for my son and I, we weren't fans of this place at all. I ordered a cob salad, which was a hearty serving of chicken, atop a huge salad. However that's where the positive ends. The salad was dry, even when asking for an additional salad dressing which was runny, it just wasn't good from start to finish. The chicken tasted burnt and lettuce tasted old. My kid didn't even like the fries which come with an oddly spicy ketchup. Perhaps I should've gone with my gut and ordered a burger, those looked much better, but BJ's has much better salads than this place. It's a sports bar type atmosphere and we were sat at a high top, which had my back hurting shortly into the meal. Not very comfortable seating, noisy, dark, and not some place I'd want to return to. I came here for their happy hour deals and was so extremely satisfied with the food and the value! We ordered a guava margarita, crispy tuna rice rolls, chicken and waffles, pepperoni pizza off the happy hour menu. And we also got traditional chicken wings with 7 cajun spice rub. The chicken and waffles were my absolute favorite. The pepperoni pizza was solid as well. I wish they had some of the other pizzas on their happy hour, that would've been fun to try. I kind of regret ordering the chicken wings. The quality of the wings were on point - good crisp and juicy on the inside. But I didn't really like the dry cajun rub. I wish I got one of the other flavors. Also!! Y'all should add the chicken wings to the happy hour menu!! It would be a hit, especially with a nice glass of beer. On today's date at approximately 6:44 p.m. I walked into Finneys in Camarillo with a party of 12. We sat down, ordered drinks, waited, and placed our food order around 7:00 p.m. By 7:44 p.m., we noticed that two tables seated after us had already been served their food before us. One of those tables had even spent about 15-20 minutes speaking with the shift manager and still received their food before we did, despite us arriving earlier. On top of that, the tables before us had more people combined than our table, yet they were still served first. At that point we asked what was going on. The shift manager told us our order had only been placed about 8 minutes earlier. However, when I spoke to our server, she stated she had placed the order approximately 18 minutes prior. The conflicting information did not make sense and gave the impression that blame was being shifted instead of simply addressing the issue. I work in the restaurant industry myself, so I understand delays happen and mistakes happen. The issue wasn't simply the wait time--it was the lack of communication and inconsistent explanations. Even after asking about our order at the 44-minute mark, we continued waiting another 15 minutes before food started arriving. At that point we had been waiting from approximately 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. for our meal. We also informed management that not everyone at our table even ate, and there were items and drinks that were ordered but never made it to the table. I requested some form of accommodation on our bill due to the experience. Our food wasn't even to past experiences either. I understood alcohol may not be able to be compensated, so I asked for a percentage off the bill. There was a lot of back and forth before anything was addressed. The situation escalated to the point where the shift manager contacted a regional manager named Sal. I explained the entire situation and made it clear that this was not directed toward our server personally. I specifically told the server I had no issue with her and that my concern was with how management was handling the situation. My brother inlaw ordered fajitas, and the portions we received were extremely small for the price paid. For over $20, the amount served felt very underwhelming and did not seem worth the cost. I mentioned to Sal the Regional manager that Chipotle gives more for the $20. During my conversation with the regional manager over the phone, I explained that many customers in situations like this become frustrated enough to leave, and I could have been a jerk and walked while still waiting for our food but we didn't. I was giving an example, but the conversation became tense and I was threatened when the discussion shifted toward the Regional manager calling law enforcement and discussing negative reviews. The interaction became more uncomfortable than productive. In the end, we did receive a discount, which I appreciate. However, the overall experience between the wait times, conflicting explanations, missing items, portion sizes, and management interactions left a bad impression. I would recommend to visit the location in Ventura. I understand restaurants get busy, but communication and accountability go a long way. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I WOULD NOT RETURN. Came here to celebrate my father in laws birthday dinner yesterday. Service was excellent! Our waiter made sure to check in 4-5 times in our visit. She was very patient especially dealing with a big group. It was pretty loud inside. Honestly could barely have much conversations without yelling. As for food, everyone enjoyed their meals including myself. I tried the chipotle chicken sandwich. It was good. Has a mild kick. It was honestly kind of small. 7/10 I also tried my boyfriend's smashburger it was slightly on the dry side (she forgot to ask how well done he wanted his burger) but it was still good. 6/10. Fries & tater tots were nicely seasoned and fresh! Also their ranch is so addictive! Be sure to ask for a side of it! I will definitely come back again but try something more unique. read more

I appreciated that they had outdoor heating as well. Needless to say this was the perfect stop before our friends wedding and small world as we met Garrett at the wedding who happened to work at Finney's! My daughter and I decided to have lunch together on Wednesday. We debated as to where we wanted to go and decided on Finney's. We were greeted and seated immediately which was nice. Overall, it was a solid experience last night. This location is great with kids and our server was awesome. She adapted to the kids and was very patient with us. I had their new salmon bowl and my wife had their new ahi bowl. Both were good attempts at those dishes. The salmon tasted fishy and chewy, with some interesting complimentary bowl ingredients (in a bad way). The ahi bowl was better, had great taste, but the ahi had a texture leading to it not being that fresh. For dessert, we order the churros and a side of ice cream. The churros were awful. We would have returned them if we didn't already pay the check. They were obviously microwaved, super hard and pretty much inedible. The ice cream was good. Overall, good experience. This was my second trip to Finney's Crafthouse in Camarillo. I've driven by them many times since they've opened since I come to the outlet here fairly often and last month was the first time I stopped in. One of my coworkers who lives near the location in Orange County said that this is one of her favorite restaurants so we decided to stop in and try the food. I got the barbecue chicken salad and it was amazing. I ordered my food online and it was ready in about 15 minutes or so. This gave me time to go shop at the stores nearby. What I really liked about the salad is that you can tell all the ingredients are really fresh and tasty. The chicken has the right amount of grilled taste on it but yet still juicy, and all the textural contrast made it taste even better. Can't wait to try some the other items that they have. I know they also have a happy hour menu that I will have to try the next time I'm in town. There is plenty of parking here since it's located in the outlets. There's a tiny lot right to the side of it however very few find it other section to park and that is where most the spots are in the main parking lot. read more

When this place first opened in Camarillo, it is always busy - which is good. We have been very happy with the food and drinks and service. When we have had concerns regarding the food, they have handled it gracefully and empathetically. The surroundings are very pleasant with their big TVs and fire heaters on the patio to keep you warm. On a Friday night waited about 20 minutes which was not bad. Had a beautiful seat high top with half indoor outdoor views. Ordered the coconut shrimp which was amazing! And two cokes, we got our shrimps before the cokes I could clearly see the server tending to the two girls right next to us. Also ordered Cajun wings too they were okay nothing special. Ordered two Caesar salads with chicken. Neither salad had crumbled croutons or romaine lettuce. When I let the server know he said odd, and said I'll let someone know. Sever never came back till the bill was presented. My past experiences have been good but this will be my last time visiting.
