Great neighborhood bar/restaurant! I come because I love the chill atmosphere because even on crazy super busy nights it all just flows. Steve, T, and Zack always take of us. They must be the glue for this place because they hold it down! I've had a lot of the food here and I haven't had anything I ddin't like. I'm still thinking about that St. Patricks Bangers n Mash. YUM! Also, kudos on the facelift to the place! I came back on the first day after the remodel and the whole place was spotless, everything looked brand spanking new! They shouldn't have a smashburger on the menu if they don't know what a smashburger is. I ordered a double smash and received a huge double cheeseburger with lettuce. I have been eating smash burgers from all over the place in southern california and have never had a smash with lettuce unless in was described that way on the menu and the meat patties were thick, not smashed. It should have been labeled as a cheeseburger, not a smashburger. And in all honesty it didn't taste that good either. read more

I had the best meal here last night! Top sirloin steak and for my 2 sides I chose the broccoli which was so perfectly cooked, flavored with fresh garlic and butter as well as the brussel sprouts, cooked perfectly with a light vinegar glaze and feta cheese mixed in. So yummy! My husband loved the lollipop lamb chops too! Was a fun, busy night, we ate while my hubby participated in the fantasy football draft! The owner was very nice, walked around, introduced himself, asked how everything was... love that! This is a local spot that we really love supporting! We've been coming here for about 4 years and find that when they're really busy, the consistency of food and drinks are not on point. Wow! Breakfast at the Shores is back! Huge success! absolutely delicious. At 11 o'clock they were very busy we got our drinks quickly and our food was amazing. I had the breakfast sandwich (Remember Cora's in Santa Monica?) It was outstanding! Mr N had an Omelet. The O'Brien potatoes are little crispy cubes of deliciousness. They were hopping, the community tables were overflowing, the bar was full. At least 4 different football games on a whole bunch of huge TVs. I was prepared to wait for food and pleasantly suprised when it was delivered to the table in a short amount of time. The Bloody Mary's were just like I like them. Mother's Day brunch !!! This place was available for brunch on Mother's Day !! This was a treat ! Walked in , seated ourselves , ordered a Cadillac margarita !!!!! Off the hook and on point !! We were in town during football season, so my BF had to find a place that we could go watch the game with our toddler. The host gave us a great table out of the way and we were off to a good start. We ordered the Korean Gojujang Chicken Wings and they were so tasty!! It actually influences the way we marinate our chicken at home, trying to replicate a little bit of that flavor. I also ordered the pretzel sticks with beer cheese as an appetizer. For our main lunch, I ordered a César salad and my guy ordered the Tuscany Chicken Pasta. We ordered my kid a side of fries and shared our plates with her. We had a good time. The place got super rowdy, but we enjoyed all the fan-fare. The staff was incredible, even though they were super busy they were very attentive. We got our drinks right away and ended up putting in an order for a couple appetizers. We stopped in at The Shores Restaurant on tbe way home and were pleasantly pleased. This is a casual place with a nice bar with lots of flatscreen TVs to watch your favorite sports. They have a Happy Hour menu but we opted for dinner and no cocktails. My lamb chops with two sides were delicious. My husband ordered the pork chop with two sides. He said his pork chop was cooked a wee bit too much and just needed salt. This neighborhood reataurant seems like a friendly casul place for locals. The staff were all friendly! At 10pm it looks like The Shores turns into a live music place! My friend who lives nearby said she comes here for Wednesday Trivia Night! Stopped by for a late dinner. They had a band playing. DRINKS: the lemonade was very watered down. It tasted like water with a squeeze of lemon, which is fine but not when you're paying for a lemonade vs a free glass of water. I had a Cadillac margarita that was way too strong. I had to pour some of the lemon water in it in order to drink it. FOOD: we ordered entrees and should have stuck with appetizers. My shrimp were old and I could smell them coming around the corner! Everyone else said the food was bleh and definitely not worth the $145 tab. I didn't send the food or drinks back because we had minors with us and had to leave the establishment by 10:00pm. The food is basic and they really don't have a real chef. Everything is prepared and served like it was heated in a tinfoil pan. Dessert is a surprise if you don't mind sharing a COSTCO made items. Today was my first time here in about 10 years. Once hubby & I arrived we were greeted by the kind bartender. We decided to eat inside. She said, Pick a table. We picked a 1/2 booth. Yawn...... a lot of time arrived before our drink order was taken. Yawn.. About 5 minutes in, we received our waters with straws. Yawn.... it was about 10 minutes until our dirty martini and Cadillac Margaritas arrived. Served in a small martini glass & an even smaller glass for the Cadillac Margarita. The drinks were a standard pour... not the heavy pours that I remembered The Shores being famous for. People Watching - Very Interesting. This has always been a locals place to go. It was male dominated (for customers), as there were only 3 women - myself included. This is just a note, not a complaint. No masks. People sitting close together just like pre-covid. Hubby & I were vaccinated. We have NEVER seen a restaurant serve as if Covid was non-existent. We are looking to get back to normal... and yet this was not insulting just "weird". I'm still thinking about it. The male 40ish server took our food order. After about 5 more minutes, he held Coco's "our new waitress that is taking over as his shift is ending" hand and led her to us. (I thought that was cute.) I drank my drink quickly. Coco asked if we wanted another round. I said I wanted to order a Coor's Light. Hubby said No as he was the driver. When my beer arrived it was 4/5ths full with foam included. She said, We just ran out. It's on the house. Yea!! Thank you. We ordered off the Happy Hour menu: HH Caesar Salad - $4 - Just say No. (C-) HH Fries - $4 - We thought-meh. even the ranch dressing different help. (C-) HH Soup -Cup - $4.50 - Mushroom Soup - My favorite normally. I still give it a B (I'm a high school teacher). This grade is for good flavor. Reduced grade for all of the oil. HH Wings - $8.00 BBQ Bourbon - They were epic! - A+. Wow!! Billing errors were off the chart. First thing I noticed is that was charged for the Coors Light. I sent the bill back. i had to give my card back, so I could get the billing cancellation/void. When I got the new bill back, I noticed the double charge of the salad. Again the bill was readjusted. We were tired and wanted to leave. We didn't even bother to ask about the hard alcohol prices: We paid $9 a drink for those very little HH drinks. I normally write that I will never be back to a 1 or 2 star establishment. However, I'm going to give them another chance. I loved the camaraderie. I loved the love between staff & patrons. I remember the good 'ole days. They do accept the AXXESS book. An employee said to use it at dinner which starts at 5:00. That's when we will come back....one day. read more

Bartender Sarah is a welcome addition to the team and deftly maneuvers from behind the bar to getting food orders gathered. Steady stream of locals and visitors. It's very lowkey, and I suppose it makes sense that their food is bland considering the population majority that they serve. My new favorite bar and "hide out." Our waiter was so nice and welcoming. He greeted us and briefly went over the weekly happens at the restaurant. He was so accommodating, I asked him if the kitchen could double fry my steak fries...AND THEY DID, to perfection. Then our waiter followed up by asking me if they were to my liking. Nice guy! The main reason I went here was for the steak fries. I had also ordered a burger and it was pretty good. I had a few beers, hung out and watched the TVs. I love the crowd and the vibe of this place, has a nice neighborhood feel to it. It was chill! I enjoyed sitting back, watching the large group near the bar have the time of their life, cheerfully signing along to whatever song was playing. Usually enjoy a good burger here but yesterday was a joke. Not an uncommon order lettuce tomato onion. But they severed little grape tomatoes cut in half. Ever try putting that kind of tomato on your burger. They just fall out of sandwich. I asked for fresh red onion. Some was fresh some was old We also ordered a chicken club. Again no tomatoes but instead of sliced chicken they put chunks of chicken like you would have on a salad. We asked why ? We are out of sliced chicken. Tomatoes and chicken just falling out of the sandwich. Not easy and certainly not enjoyable to eat. Perhaps they should at the very least tell you that they are out theses items. The lettuce was not brown but it was so wilted it was not edible. I realize they are a bar but if you're going to sell food at least have the food to prepare the dishes correctly and if they can't do that let the customer know whats going on. Neither of us would have ordered these dishes. Not sure we would have stayed but under the circumstances not sure we will go back. read more

So surprised how good the food was here, was expecting bar food, and yet was surprised that their bar food was beyond what you'd expect.
