This hotel is a favorite of mine when in Seattle because it is relatively close to the Amazon pet headquarters and meeting rooms I have stayed at the W on past trips to see our Amazon buyer, And especially like the skyscraper like design of this hotel, not to mention it is close, walking distance 2 nice shopping areas. if you are a Marriott member you can also use points to pay for this hotel stay. This hotel is also a mere 13-minute walk from the famous Pike Place Market. So going to the market and carrying home bags of fruit or treats that you pick up at the market does not break your back as it's not too far back to the room The W is always a contender when coming to Seattle on business and I'm sure I will be staying here again soon read more

Awesome hotel and staff for a christmas holiday visit. Arrived before my friend did who had the reservation they held my bags while i explored and waited. The lobby bar has live djs and a good happy hour with selection of local beers and crafty cocktails. Try the pulled pork sliders you will want to order more. We had a room on the top starwood preferred floor. Room was in excellent condition and the bed and pillows were amazing i did not want to get up each day and lay in bed, going out bar hopping didnt help. Its a short walk from pikes places and all the restaurants. Capitol hill and pioneer square is a $5 uber ride away as well. I took the light rail to and from the airport and to the Seahawks game. We stayed here over memorial day. It's our first time at W hotel. The location is great and just a quick short walk to a lot of tourist attractions. The only downside is that it's SUPER HILLYYYYY in every direction. That's not the hotel's fault but just a heads up for people who do plan on walking everywhere. We stayed here for 3 days and thought the service was great from check in all the way to check out. Bryan checked us in and was extremely welcoming so we really appreciated him. Also, we forgot our toothbrush and we needed water and they were super quick about getting these items to us. One of the best thing about this hotel is that I loved the feather bed (underneath the sheets) because it made lounging in bed very very comfortable. I even considered buying a featherbed for my own home. Overall we had a great experience. It wasn't the nicest hotel I've been in (hence the four stars) but it was a super solid experience and I'd return next time. read more

Who knew that when planning a trip to Seattle on Valentine's Day weekend would be in the dead center of a Winter Storm, 3" of snow, and the entire downtown shutdown, could end up being such a great time but it definitely did. Something about not having an Uber available, none of the standard "tourist" destinations open, and just time to relax and enjoy the room that most of us just use to store our gear and sleep in. If you are looking for a great place to stay, centrally located, and has the most amazing beds and amenities this is the place. The room is stocked with a Nespresso machine, plenty of pods, an incredible bed! I have given serious thought about taking out a loan, because it is a small fortune, to buy one of the beds and all the bedding! ;) Maybe one day, a boy can dream right? Hahaha read more

The hotel is beautiful. We got a Priceline "surprise me" deal at $89 a night, then on arrival paid a $20/night upgrade for a more premium room. I wouldn't go so far as to say the rooms are luxurious, but they're modern, comfortable and reasonably nicely equipped. Free WiFi if you are an SPG member (which really just involves giving them your information). The room was pretty nice. I'd be surprised if it wasn't recently updated. All in-room lighting was Cree LED's with dimmers, which for us is fantastic--after a long day it's nice to be able to dim the lights and not have to choose between sitting in total dark and sitting in blindingly bright and harsh light. The bed was very nice, comfortable. They do have some nice upgraded touches in the room. The coffee maker uses Nespresso pods--so basically an in-room espresso machine. Junky "International Delight" creamer packs though---easily resolved by getting a cup of half and half from the bar in the lobby. Parking is $46+ tax ($50) a night. I understand we're in Downtown. I understand that parking costs money--I get it. But there is "we charge for parking" and then there is "we charge more for your parking spot by the square foot than we charge for the room you're staying in." This is the latter. By the square foot, the parking space was over double the cost of the room, and this ventures into "highway robbery" territory. Don't charge me $89 for a room and $50 for the parking space. Just be honest with your customers and charge $139 for the room, and include the parking. The W Seattle absolutely crosses the line here even for the area. Additionally, they are valet-only, which means that retrieving anything from your car requires you to either have a lengthy conversation with the valet about where within your car the item is, so they can get it for you, or requires them to bring the car around. Basically, you get to pay double for the increased inconvenience. Minus one star. Very centrally located. Pike Place and all the shops are mere blocks away. Spent some time just walking around a 6x6 block area and pretty much anything you can imagine (including 37 Starbucks properties) is within a 10-minute walk. The hotel restaurant "Trace" looked like they had a decent menu, though at the prices they were charging ($12 for a bowl of Oatmeal? $18 for an Omelette? Holy cow really?!?) I passed. I'll stretch my legs and walk across the street for twice the food at half the price. In all, the room was good and at a good rate, but all the ancillaries at this property really add up. We'd stay here again. read more

So, the W has been quite interesting. I've never stayed at a W before, and I'm not sure if this W is unique or if my experience speaks more to the overall culture. My cutie travels a lot, which means we have a lot of travel points. So I was able to get room on points. I called in several weeks ago to get a room for a girlfriend and I, we had an event in the city and wanted to stay over afterwards, rather than catch a late ferry and just go home. When I reserved the room, I let them know my husband wasn't staying with me, it would be me and a girlfriend. They supposedly added my name to the reservation. My phone number and name are attached to my husbands Marriott rewards, as I often use the points without him, when meeting up with friends or traveling alone somewhere. Our last name is the same, our address is the same, and his name is on my military ID. Basically, I have multiple forms of info that show I'm attached to this man. Second, I checked in on the mobile app the day before I arrived. The app is attached to his account, so clearly, he would know if someone were using his points for a room. Ok, fast forward to check in. I was told that without him, or a photo ID of him, they couldn't check me in. Really? Nope, because I might be stealing his points. They asked me to step to the side so a manager could call my husband and confirm that I was allowed to use the room. My cutie was staying in anther hotel somewhere else. I called him to ask him to text me his id, and to please take the call from the W, and give me permission to have the room, we laughed. I told the manager that I was disappointed by this treatment, I was told, "Sorry, but we have to make sure to protect our patrons" and repeatedly said to me, "Stranger things have happened." like repeatedly. I was given my room after they spoke to my husband, but it seemed ridiculous given all the indicators that I was in fact his wife. I didn't get an apology, but was told again, protect patrons, stranger things have happened, blah blah. I'd never experienced that sort of vigilance at any of the other hotels I've visited around the world, using his points, when he was elsewhere. And while I wasn't expecting a genuine sorry, I wasn't even told thank you for choosing the W, I was instead told, your room was *FREE. Which he capitalized on my key envelope. I guess to make sure I understood. *Did I mention that my husband travels a shit ton, that we often don't see each other and he works his ass off. He has earned every point he's gotten. We've been married 20 years and I am half of why we work as a couple, regardless of all the travel. The room wasn't "free" it was earned, by both of us I might add. The next thing was how confusing the lobby set up was, if you enter on 4th, where the big entrance appears to be, you will have to schlep your bags up a flight of stairs. You need to enter off Seneca. On Seneca there is a double door that looks like a normal door and not a main entrance. It is just odd. I was given a nice room on the 24th floor. When we got to the room I requested more shampoo, lotion, conditioner, due to two women sharing the products. Sure thing, well bring them up shortly. Never happened. My girlfriend and I had a great time at our event. But honestly, I was less than impressed by the W experience. I won't come back to the Seattle W. Love love love this hotel! The food at the hotel lounge/bar is Hawaiian inspired. Drinks are reasonably priced - for Seattle Beer Week they were offering 3 tasters and 3 burger sliders for $16 which were so so delish! Check in was efficient and I was upgraded to a Spectacular room. The room had the Bliss amenities, was super clean and had a nice high floor view. Hotel staff were super friendly and nice. The hotel is located in a quieter part of the downtown area but it was nice to be able to walk to nearby sights or take vehicle transport there from a convenient location. On Sunday I tried Beer Yoga which was a unique event at the W. apparently they have been running themed Yoga events in the Trace lounge. I didn't bring a yoga mat as I was from out of town but they had a small number of extra Pilates mats available. They ran this event very well and I will be back for future events. The Yoga instructor was fantastic! They also turn their lounge into a club-like area for Saturday nights. I love this as you can get drinks, dance and wander back upstairs if you need to sleep after. Super convenient and I like the fun vibe. My fave hotel in Seattle and worth the extra bucks! read more

W Seattle Whoa. Well, no I don't need help with the bags now that I've already unloaded them. Why are the lobby restrooms in such disarray on a Saturday afternoon? We have a spectacular view of Mount Rainier from our room! Was this room designed for a photo shoot? There's no room to put anything away. Walking distance to Pike Place Market. Whatever/Whenever....I'm calling now, you can answer whenever you get around to it....or just don't. Where are those comped waters for SPGs that we're supposed to get daily? I'll guess we'll call about those, again. Why does housekeeping keep trying to barge in to our room without knocking?!? Wouldn't a conference room be better suited for those folks bogarting the entire lounge for their company meeting? What did they do to our car?!?! Good thing it's a rental. I stayed at the W for two nights while on a recent business trip. The hotel has a great central location, friendly staff, and spotless rooms. My corner room on the 22nd floor had commanding views of the city and even the bay. I also loved the plethora of USB charging ports (both sides of the bed and desk) and the HDMI port for the TV is also a nice touch. Three little issues keep me from giving five starts: 1. The front desk didn't have any stamps. This is the first SPG hotel I've been to that didn't have them. Not a big deal but slightly annoying. 2. The windows don't do a good enough job at filtering out noise. Even though my room was pretty high up I still heard fire trucks at 3am each morning. 3. @$400 a night it is not cheap. I recently visited this spot and had a great experience. The hotel is well located in downtown Seattle, within walking distance to many Seattle highlights. The customer service was great as well - I was warmly greeted and was able to check-in upon my arrival in the morning. The room was well-appointed, modern and very clean. The bathroom was also spotless and, of course, had their Bliss bath products. Since this was a business trip I was "in-and-out" and didn't get to indulge in most of the amenities of the hotel, but my experience was great and I'd definitely return to this spot in a heartbeat. read more

The W Seattle is in a prime location for downtown Seattle tourism. It's one of three Starwood properties downtown, though I prefer the Westin a little farther out. The W seemed a little quieter than the Westin and the Sheraton. It didn't have the conferences or the cruise ship traffic. It's a quick walk to Pike Place and other attractions. It's also near some prime shopping spots and museums. In general I don't feel very comfortable at the W and this was no exception. For me it's style over substance. The beds aren't that comfortable. The amenities are ok. The biggest pet peeve of mine is that there are no black out drapes, only wooden slatted shutters to block out the light. So if you're facing east, you get a lot of light in the morning. The best part of the stay was that the climate was actually cool, so the room was comfortable temperature-wise. read more

I had a reservation for five nights for one of the hotel's better rooms. Given the COVID-19 restrictions, the hotel was contacted in advance and assuredly said the hotel was to begin offering more rooms beginning June 24. With this in mind I was booked for a room for five nights, June 24-29. Less than a week before my trip, W Seattle cancelled my reservation and booked me (without my consent) at an affiliated hotel (they're both a part of the Marriott Bonvoy group). Hotel W proudly informed me that I would still get the same rate at this other hotel. My assistant made an inquiry with W and was told that my reservation was cancelled because more rooms were going to be available. This made absolutely no sense. I had never stayed at this affiliated hotel, so my assistant checked and discovered that the rooms were $120 less a night than I would have paid at W, but I was still going to be charged the W rate (which was higher than any room offered by the new hotel). Needless to say the reservation was cancelled and I am now booked at the Four Seasons, which I delightfully discovered is near the Seattle Great Wheel (it's like The London Eye ferris wheel). I was a loyal Hotel W customer - the modern layout appealed to me and most of its hotels were situated in ideal locations. I liked the idea of having the same amenities no matter what city I was staying. But poor service has been a trend with W Hotels. In this instance, I was genuinely left wondering if I had been the victim of some kind of bait-and-switch scam. But no more. There are simply too many options. I have an upcoming trip to Paris and will now stay at Hotel Plaza Athénée. And I travel regularly to London for business and always stay at the Hotel W in Leicester Square. I'll now stay at The Lanesborough (at the recommendation of a friend). The W Hotel chain is a behemoth and will not miss my business, but eventually, given the decline in service, I'm sure others will also reassess the business they give to Hotel W. read more

I was attending a conference and stayed here for one night. The room I booked was one with a bay view. Upon check-in, I requested a quiet room and was told by the front desk representative Emma that she gave me a room far from the elevator. I thanked her. Later, I found out that this could not be farther from the truth. The room, 2510, was in a corner but the room must be on the other side of the elevator shaft- it was so loud!!! I had an early morning meeting so I went to bed around 10:30pm, but it was so noisy I couldn't fall asleep at all. By midnight, the elevators remained busy, so I went downstairs and politely requested a pair of earplugs. Back to bed- nope, I could still hear it. I think it eventually stopped around 2amish. But I had to get up at 6am. I barely slept for 3-4 hours. When I checked out, the front desk rep, this time a young man, asked how my stay was. I told him about the noise, he was disinterested and literally just brushed it off. He didn't offer any solution, or even attempted to fake that he cared. I am very disappointed with this experience at the W Seattle. I give it two stars, and the two stars are for the convenient location, and the partial bay view I got, not for its customer service or the noise. read more

We stayed here during our visit to Seattle and it was a very nice stay. The hotel is centrally located to many of the attractions with majority being at most 1/2 mile walk. The hotel has a unique style to it, room service was great, and all accommodations were very nice. Hotel staff was helpful with any questions and assistance. Granted, you go outside after dark and walk a block and you'll run into homeless and heroin, but that's a Seattle issue as with any major city. Overall, I would definitely stay here again when in Seattle. read more

My husband and I stayed here while visiting in early September of this year (2020). The hotel was pretty empty, but all of the staff followed COVID protocol religiously. Everyone wore masks and kept their distance. No room service available for the duration of your stay, which made my husband and I more comfortable. We wiped down all counters, faucets, door handles, and Lysol'd the bed frames. We were pleasantly surprised to find the wipes were so clean after wiping. The cleaning staff definitely does a good job at keeping the place scrubbed clean. I gave 3 stars because the rooms are a bit on the smaller size. No view of the waterfront. Their toiletries are amazing!!! The face wash and shampoo worked wonders for my skin and hair. read more

I wanted to like this hotel. I really did. Downtown Seattle, a Westin hotel, all in all it looked like it would be really nice... sadly that's just not the case. Perhaps it's the fact that we had just stayed at the Thompson and the Crown Plaza for the previous week but this hotel was actually rated higher so we figured it would be nicer. Nope. I'll start by saying that hotel staff was overall fairly courteous overall, including the valet team, but they had elements working against them that made any level of courtesy negligible. The cons far outweighed the pros sadly. When we first pulled in, the valet was completely full and it appeared as if there was only one valet on staff running like crazy to retrieve vehicles. That's unfortunate because the end result was the requirement to wait on the street for 10 minutes with a line of vehicles behind us waiting to get in. The valet was super nice and apologetic... After our vehicle was parked, we had no offer for a bellhop, or assistance with luggage. We had no assistance to open the doors... something I suppose I have taken for granted staying at similarly rated hotels in the region. When I requested a luggage cart, I was told they were required to assist us. 5 minutes later, I decided to carry my own luggage. So far, having not even checked in yet, we have had nearly 20 minutes of our time completely wasted. The hotel is listed as pet friendly and they offered a pet bed, however, it wasn't delivered to our room for over an hour. Not a huge problem I suppose except we were sitting there waiting. Our mistake I suppose. That evening we went to enjoy the live music and realized it was almost impossible to enjoy. I'm all about art and music is art but this went a bit too far. People were leaving in droves so I know it wasn't just us. We left to seek some dinner elsewhere. The concierge, while very courteous, sadly was not very knowledgeable for the requests we had, not able to list a dog wash in the area (telling us there were self serve only wash stations) and recommended a lower quality Indian food place with numerous bad reviews. We found a fantastic Indian place on our own thanks to Yelp and it was definitely fantastic. Unfortunately, our food delivery did not come with plates or silverware so we called to request some. 15 minutes later, we had not yet received plates and silverware. Unfortunate. I went downstairs and got some from the kitchen. Total round trip, 3 minutes. It's not that I had to do it myself that bothered me, it's that we are supposed to be staying in a nice hotel that took care of these things for us. If you can notice a pattern here, so far, the overwhelmingly apparent problem with this hotel is either a lack of staff, or poor management. Considering the concierge was checking in guests, rather than focusing on guests and their needs, I would believe it's a combination of both. Continuing on, despite having paid a premium to stay here, nothing was complimentary. The room had a full mini bar, at a premium of course, the water around the room was expensive, everything came with a price tag. Tacky. It's not the price, it's the fact that a hotel of this caliber shouldn't be squeezing their clients for a few dollars extra here and there. It's just tacky. Charge $20 more a night and include everything if you have to. Seriously. Let's talk about the room for a minute. The bed was the only comfortable thing in the room. The "desk" was small and faced directly into the big screen. Not comfortable. Not convenient. The sitting area by the window was awkward. Very uncomfortable. No table to eat on, one chair in the room. If you're traveling alone this won't be an issue. If you're with a companion, well, sorry. Eat on the bed, or in the corner of the room. This could have been just because of the room that we had, or a particular layout exclusive to our room, but we paid for what we were told would be an upgraded room and it certainly was not. The last thing I'll share is the bathroom was desperately in need of some assistance. Not a single towel rack in the entire bathroom. No hooks, no racks, no place to rest them on except the toilet itself. That's unfortunate. This whole experience was unfortunate. Considering the price paid, I regret staying there. It was good for a bed to stay in but so is the Hilton and I can promise you, it would be a better nights rest. read more

Everything about the hotel was amazing for my wife and I until we went to leave. It was $68.00 to park overnight which was no issue until we went to get our car. I called 25 minutes ahead and was assured our car would be ready to go. It wasn't and that was okay, the valet was busy enough to excuse our vehicle not being there. The Vallet employee however was extremely unprofessional and lacked any customer service so bad that I refused to allow him to help me load our bags. He yelled at three customers during our time there and started honking at a flustered driver. read more

Stayed here because of the fabulous time I had with my family at the Boston location this past summer unfortunately this has much less luster. From the lukewarm greeting at valet when they take my rental car from me. Than you arrive at reception this too is lacking any warmth especially when the question from the front desk is" when are you leaving "as if the exact time would be beneficial to them in 2 days? Am I on candid camera or did everyone at this hotel miss their classes in hospitality! Seriously I have been staying in hotels for over 30 years for business and this place tops them all in lousiest Service. Oh hold on I forgot to mention I have Starwood as well as Marriott status never did that matter less. They give their guests bottles of Daswani water now you know they hate us. We left them unopened in the room. This is an upscale brand over Marriott. You have got to be kidding me. The only positive no hairs other than mine in the room and no mildew. We tried the Happy Hour before dinner the first day, downstairs the offerings were not special. Not to return again at another time. The next day after an appointment in the morning we return to no housekeeping?! Very strange service than in the early evening the maid wanted to come in the room. So she came while we left for dinner. The room had a bad odor I think it was attributed to the fact there is no fan in the bathroom. So after a hot shower the air just hangs. Ewww. Lastly our last day we attempted to have breakfast downstairs. It was a bit of a maze on where to go and once you get there you arrive to wait until you are directed on where to sit down. You are walked past many tables with dirty dishes from previous guests that were never cleared. So once you sit down you wait again. Makes zero sense as most business travelers need to get where they are going. All this leisure speed would be nice if it wasn't of a view of dirty dishes and inattentive help. We place our orders we eat and go. The food was average nothing special and lack of any service makes it a 2 stars. So I go by the front desk to give them my room key and get an updated invoice to include breakfast. I am further taken aback as the person asked me about my stay and condescending answered me. I had a really great time watching some live music here at W Seattle and grabbing a few drinks with the happy hour that goes until 8! I came here to see a brass band and ended up hanging out for quite a bit. We got the edamame which had a lot of fun surprises and the tots which were also held to a high standard on quality. Edamame was fried with some either soy or teriyaki sauce and had sesame seeds and garlic and the tots had some crunchy pepperoni, Parmesan and flash fried basil which was really mice. The beer list was solid overall but nothing to get too excited over. All the usual suspects were in attendance. The band was really fun and it was loud enough to jam but at a level you could still hold a conversation which was nice for the show. Overall really liked my time here and will be back! read more

There's a reason that this supposed premium hotel has only a 3.5 star rating. Departed the hotel at 3:30 am in the morning so room bill was not ready. When I received it later on, it had a mistake. Called and spoke to front desk manager who was anything but cordial, but he reluctantly agreed to make correction and issue credit. Now a week later, having not received the credit, I called the hotel to be told that no credit request had been made. So far, have spent ~2 hours of my time for a $25 issue. I am, and will remain a loyal Titanium Bonvoy member, but certainly disappointed in the treatment by this propertyl. read more

The price tag fits the location, not the accommodations. Rooms are a bit dated and customer service is absolutely lackadaisical. I called about maintenance issue in the room and they literally didn't show up! I had to call multiple times for them to accommodate the smallest of requests during my stay. DO NOT STAY HERE!!! What a nightmare of a hotel. First, they put me in a room next to the fitness center. I walked in and the entire room was shaking violently, like there was an earthquake. Not joking!!! The shaking was caused by people lifting weights and dropping them on the ground. How can you have a room that shares a wall with the fitness center??? Then I got moved to another room that looked into a ghetto parking garage. Not across the street, literally feet away from my window. They had the blinds shut so it wouldn't be noticable when customers walk in. And there's 7 floors of rooms like this. Not just this one!! The only other options were twin bed rooms. Twin beds, like in college. You can't even sleep with someone in the same bed. It's big enough for only one person in each bed!!! It took 4 tries to get me situated. I would never, ever stay here again. This hotel is an absolute embarrassment. The W is supposed to be'a premium' Marriott property, this is an absolute one star dump. read more

I stayed here for an overnight business trip. It really is a cute lovely hotel with some character but I don't think it merits the $300+ price tag per night. Who cares if works paying for it right?? #expenseit The rooms are standard and they provide Bliss branded toiletries. The bath tubs could use a face lift but other than that I liked that my room at a very spacious desk, perfect for business trips when you're stuck in the hotel all day working on decks! I'm not sure why all the bad reviews here, the W delivered a solid stay with clean rooms, nice views, and comfy beds. While service was minimal on Mondays and Tuesdays, we were still able to get the room cleaned daily which is mostly what I care about these days. Not many food options in the hotel but lots of options nearby. Also the hotel is located close to everything and remains in a good spot where there seem to be less homeless people and junkies. Prepare yourself. Seattle has gone down hill since the pandemic. It is full of homeless, like everywhere. There are sirens in the city all day and night. Rebeca and Nichole were very rude and misleading information. Rebeca has no presentation of leader, we were told by staff that we were ok to have our bags for few hours before catching our fly after returning from Leavenworth. When we came Nichole was running the front desk with no presentation and proper customer service skills by making faces and sounds expressing how we can't leave our bags. I don't recommend this hotel if you are traveling to different locations. Staff has no presentation and clear directions on how to accommodate guests. read more

We are frequent travellers to seattle and this is one of our choice because of its location in downtown. Pike place market is just walk-able and also to the water front. The staff and maintenance is as expected from the W group but this hotel does not have a lounge which is a bit disappointing because for the price they quote . And the interiors are upscale and all the spaces have good lightning.Room service is ok and I would recommend here if you are fine after noting down the ponits stated in my review. Note: The wifi here is free only for members of gold an platinum. Otherwise it is paid for around 30$ for a day. read more

We stayed here for a family trip for three nights before our Alaska cruise. I picked this one over the others in the area because I am familiar with W Hotels and because of my membership level in their loyalty program. We took the Light Link rail in from the airport, and it was only a two-minute walk from the station. Easy to find. Once we arrived, we were greeted by the bellhops who offered to assist us with our luggage and also opened the doors for us. We didn't have a car in Seattle, so I can't speak to the valet or the parking situation. The receptionist was very friendly. Check-in process was smooth and took only a few minutes. There was no one else in line, so that may have helped. We stayed in a basic room (not sure what it is called, I think the Spectacular Room?) with two beds. We received 4 bottles of complimentary water every night plus complimentary WiFi which worked great. The Bliss products smelled amazing. The room and hotel were both very modern and trendy. Everything was clean, and the bed and linens were comfy. We were very satisfied with it, especially since it was in walking distance to all the tourist spots, the cruise port, and numerous restaurants and coffee shops. I would definitely stay here again if I find myself in Seattle. read more

Love this Hotel and the staff. Rooms are small but nice. Not a fan of liquid shower gel with nothing to apply it to your body during a shower.. If loofahs are out of the question then switch to bars of soap for the shower. Everything else in the room is great. Downstairs has a great vibe at night. Mood/club lighting, music and a great bar. There is also a restaurant downstairs and in the morning you can get free coffee which is nice. Im knocking a star because there's nothing amazing about this hotel in comparison to other W hotels. Stayed in a king corner room and everything was very convenient. Cool downtown views and convenient location. My room was enormous to boot. Excellent bliss products that they refill everyday and nespresso pods. My bed was super comfy too. Two slight issues - (1) I think there was something wrong with my thermostat because I had to keep cranking up the temperature and it never got very warm, and (2) my minibar was not fully stocked (no chocolate covered almonds, although they were listed on the menu!) Overall, though, I had a very pleasant stay here and I would stay here again. read more

Stayed at the W Seattle in September at the beginning of our visit to Washington (and opted to stay there again at the end of our trip). The late night front desk staff were great (Tim & ???) and the room was perfect for our needs. Within walking distance of several sights. Will stay here again, I'm sure. read more

Perfect location for a first timer in Seattle! Easy walk to Pike Place Market and endless restaurants. The price is also extremely reasonable. We landed at 8am and they let us check in right away without a fee which is rare! read more

This was a very beautiful hotel . Upon arrival was greeted with a friendly smile and given a nice room upgrade since we were in town for a birthday vacation. Great decorations in the room, views were blah but it was an upgrade to a larger room. Modern and clean place as with all W hotels. The bar was really vibrant with the weekend crowd. Great place to hang out for a cocktail. My only grievance with this place is the ridiculous price they charged for parking. $65 yes sixty-five dollars a night! Let's just call it what it is a rip off. To add insult to injury they won't even reserve a spot for you if your a guest. Came back one night after the birthday dinner and was met with a sign stating parking lot full. I was told by the attendant on duty guest are not guaranteed parking and to park off site at one of the pay lots around the vicinity. Screw it I left the car in valet with the keys in it and let them figure it out. He was pretty upset but he found a place for it. The next day at check out I brought up the issue with the manager and was told that sometimes the parking gets full due to the "happening bar in the hotel" I guess they double dip on the parking and hope your a sucker and juts take it. He did apologize and stated that he would refund the $195 charge for parking as a courtesy. Yes 3 days of parking was $195 the cost of a night here! Nice hotel with great amenities but I would shop around the high miscellaneous fees make this place a bust. read more

Rooms were clean and service was good. Great view and location, only minutes away from Pike Place and a lot of food nearby.

The rooms and food are always good but Seattle W is filled with apathetic employees who are rude and aggressive. When checking in front desk was rude and unkind to my 4 year old daughter. After pulling in to pick up my wife valet was aggressive and rude belittling me for parking in the open area. I have stayed at W hotels from London to NOLA and Seattle has been th worst experience. Waiting for service for over 20 mins at the bar on a Sunday night. Very frustrating. Unfortunately this is the place we picked to have a drink after the Seahawks game and going to dinner. Not sure we would return. read more
