She was so sweet and so intentional about my experience and my nails are PERFECT. She was very gentle and took her time to make the shape perfect. Except the owner let a solicitor in to go chair to chair to sell cheap holographic artwork to support a mission group. I was not interested. Annoyed to be interrupted while trying to relax and don't believe she had anything to do with a mission and was trying to earn money for a trip. My mani was not good. Very rough. . Even after I said I am arthritic and to take it easy. Tech was digging at my nails and caused quite a bit of pain that lasted days on my finger tips. But the fool I am I went back. Third time has to be the charm right?! Made an appointment this time. It's my birthday I am treating myself. My daughter in law is with me. Her pedi was good. I opted for mani pedi again. Whether intentional or not, it made me feel insecure, unwelcome, and judged. Additionally, I was denied a drink at 6:15 PM because "the manager had left" despite the salon being open with several lounging employees. Then there was the manicure. At first I thought "maybe she's going to clean it up?" But when she started packing up and left, I realized she was actually leaving my fingers like this. This was not done to a professional standard, the cuticle care was rushed and poorly executed and the polish was streaky and uneven. The woman who worked on my feet attempted to fix my fingernails but it quickly became clear it couldn't be corrected without starting over- which wasn't possible given it was 15 minutes to closing and I had my birthday dinner reservations. Feeling drained and just done with the whole experience, I asked her to remove the polish and I documented the process to show that I gave the salon the opportunity to make it right. There was no offer for me to come back another day to have it redone, and I left feeling significantly worse than when I arrived.
