Voyagers is truly one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. Really great views, and Damien provided excellent service. Presentation was very fancy, but personally I don't think my husband and I are suited to fancy dining. Wasn't blown away by the flavors, but we're not into nuance. Call it a misfire on our part, just not our scene. read more

I keep coming back to Voyagers every couple of years for one thing... The bread pudding. They always impress me with this dessert. I wish there was a little more ice cream this time. I also didn't like the taste of the broccolini or shrimp steak topper(overbearing with lemon). But the service is always amazing and the vibes are so romantic it is worth the trip! read more

Just had the absolutely best meal at Voyagers. Their soup of the day was a Tomato Bisque made with a Lobster relish and Creme Fresh- totally delicious! Our entrees were also wonderful, my husband had the Stuffed Chicken which was tender and plentiful. My Filet Mignon was cooked to perfection. The sides to each of these dishes were absolute standouts. If you go, get the Field Peas, they have a particularly Smokey, buttery flavor that is very tasty. We return here every time we visit Orange Beach and are so happy we do, we highly recommend Voyagers to anyone. read more

At first I was a little skeptical because my fiancé and I were met with some judgmental looks by some guest. Perhaps it was that we looked too young compared to the usual crowd but if we took time to make reservations, and dress accordingly then why should that matter. Besides that, our waitress was very kind and welcoming. She described the specials very enticingly but I already decided what I wanted which was the scallops. We couldn't even finish our entrees because we were already full from the oysters and soup. The dessert was also great and what a better ending to the night other than a walk on the beach to walk off our full bellies. Definitely recommend !!! read more

Voyagers was my favorite treat while on this trip! The restaurant is inside of a hotel (there is valet!) and it looks unassuming until you walk through the door. Our service was impeccable (Jessica is fantastic). They have a fantastic wine list and even some great wine by the glass selection. I ordered a charcuterie board (perfect size before a big meal), the cowboy ribeye with bone marrow butter and crème brûlée. Everything was perfect and the steak was SO flavorful. Best dinner in years! The ambience is quite different from everything else you get at the beach. This was a great dining experience for our anniversary trip, just me and my husband. Would not bring children, at least I wouldn't bring mine. Flavors are so different and we absolutely enjoyed everything. Our server Adam was great in explaining the different dishes and whe we asked about certain things, he gave us his personal option (that's ok, but not the best.... This place was really awesome and our waitress was amazing. I wasn't a fan of the bleu mac but they replaced it with the sweet potato gnocchi. We got the cold platter, the filet mignon, the baked potatoes, gnocchi, and pumpkin crème brûlée with an almond croissant. Overall really delicious and I would recommend it. read more

We came here a couple years ago by accident. We were looking for a good steak. As we were entering back then, a guest who was leaving said "Oh you have to get the bone in fillet." So we tried it years ago and it was the best steak we have had in a long time. This time was about the same. We got the bone in fillet. It wasn't as spectacular as we remembered but it was still good. This go around we may have gotten more bone than fillet. We also ordered the stuffed chicken which was really good. You can taste all the different flavors. We had a bottle of the smith and hook wine along with dinner. If you are staying at the resort you have to go at least one night. If you are in town you should also have at least one night here. It is on the higher end of pricing but still worth it. We enjoyed it and hope you do as well. read more

Start with some oysters. All of them are fabulous but the bone marrow and foie gras oysters were treat! The fish of the day was a hit. The atmosphere is wonderful with beautiful beach views. Staff from bartenders to servers are attentive and helpful. Don't forget to enjoy dessert! read more

Nice atmosphere, upscale everything. Cocktails had special touches. The wedge salad was a highlight. The entrees were very delicious. My husband cooks like Gordon Ramsey on a Thursday yet this steak was the only one in recent memory to wow us. There was a whole garlic chunk in my bolognese that was a rude interruption but all is forgiven. The service, timing, and quality was impeccable. This is a tough review because the food here ranges from excellent to atrocious. As an appetizer, our table of three ordered oysters three ways: raw, Rockefeller and Bienville. The oysters were farm raised neat Fort Morgan, AL and were super fresh, albeit small. But great nonetheless. I ordered the whole flounder. Again, it was super fresh but over salted with excessive garlic. The salt and garlic overwhelmed the freshness of the fish. I asked the waitress to inform the chef and she said she apologized but who knows if he was sincere. My son ordered a dry aged prime rib steak medium rare. It was served rare but the flavor was exceptional. My spouse ordered a roasted beet salad with shrimp. The shrimp was served heads on and was cooked to perfection. We saw nothing that shined on the dessert menus but settled for a offering that was described as a stuffed croissant and crème brûlée. We asked if we could just order the crème brûlée. It was bad, bad, bad; dry with overwhelming pumpkin spice flavor. Sad. Fair wine selection but without origin which I always find annoying. I'm not saying to avoid this restaurant but ask questions and tell the wait staff to tell the chef to go light on the salt. read more

We were down in Orange Breach and made reservations at Voyagers for dinner. We were a party of six and sat at a round table by one of the windows. Our waitress was Cristina and she is originally from Brazil but sounded more like she's from Europe. She was take charge fabulous. She helped us with recommendations and she did not steer us wrong. The 6 oz filets are melt in your mouth delicious. The cream corn was bar none the best corn. Desserts were delicious but the 8 layer chocolate cake was the winner. If I could give this heavenly place 6 stars I would! If you want a great dining experience with exceptional service then this is the place. My review is long past due. I found old pictures I forgot about so decided it was time. The oysters were to die for. Each kind were excellent and I wish we got more, they came on a sweet platter as you can see. Very cool. The steak was dry aged to perfection. All the sides were so good I'd eat just them. Dessert was nice and small after the big meal. Voyagers is the only Alabama fine dining restaurant directly on the Gulf of Mexico. Located inside the Perdido Beach Resort, Voyagers has been the perfect location for new and exciting menus for nearly 3 decades.

Meet the Manager: Brody O.

Chef Brody Olive heads the culinary team at Perdido Beach Resort as the Executive Chef. In this role he leads the culinary team encompassing all food and beverage operations throughout the hotel's four restaurants and multiple banquet facilities. Chef Olive brings to the resort an impressive background of training and accomplishments. He attended Johnson and Wales University, where he learned the culinary fundamentals. He began his career at Ocean Restaurant in Birmingham as the Sous Chef, studying under the owner and well known Chef George Reis. Ocean achieved many honors during Brody's tenure, including the AAA Four Diamond Award and Five Stars by Birmingham News. Brody then assisted with the opening of Ocean's sister restaurant, 26, known for its funky South Beach atmosphere and eclectic menu. Prior to joining Voyagers at Perdido Beach Resort, Chef Olive had built a great reputation for his development of creative offerings at some of the premier restaurant venues in OBA.

We are going to be in OB for a beach vacation and have a reservation for Thursday night. What is the dress code? Do I need to pack a sport coat? I am trying to decide if I can pack khakis with a nice shirt.

I don't think I've ever seen a sports jacket in OB. Total casual, including shorts, tee shirt and sandals. This is the red neck Riviera after all. Enjoy.

I was very impressed by their beer selection and they are a verified venue on the Untappd app so you can go to that app to look at all the beer selection and even filter and sort the beers so that you can have an easier time selecting the proper beverage. But it was brought with the meal. The salad was fresh and crisp, with a surprise of a small Peppa dew pepper. Blazing red with a little heat and delicious. Haven't seen them in a restaurant ever. Unfortunately my fish and potatoes were cold, cold and butter congealed. The greens were warm and good I had also ordered the cornbread. It was refreshing to see that it wasn't the usual cake like kind, plus not the ultra sweet kind either. More bread like with a hint of sweetness. Delicious. The fish and potatoes had a nice flavor but unfortunately the cold food spoiled the experience. Since I was a guest of my sister I didn't say anything about the cold food. What a disappointment. Maybe when I return things will be better.

The local restaurant choices for large parties are limited, and Cobalt is so busy they apparently don't need to worry about customer service. We won't be back, and I strongly suggest that anyone with a large party avoid Cobalt.
