Beautiful gulf-front views and delicious food. Viktor was a great server - knowledgeable and attentive but not pushy. Food was delicious- came out hot and fresh. Menu is excellent- tons of great pairing options and everything was delicious. Drinks were excellent also and the crème brûlée was a great made from scratch dessert.

Absolutely Amazing Dining Experience! Located inside Perdido Beach Resort, is Voyagers an upscale, intimate, fine dining restaurant with a stunning view of the Gulf in Orange Beach, Alabama. From the moment we arrived and throughout the whole dining experience the service was impeccable. Forgive me but I believe our server was Craig aka John; well, I was calling him John as he resembled a younger John Travolta. Ha! Anyways, he was absolutely outstanding! He delivered exemplary politeness and manners, had high quality experience and a vast knowledge of everything on the entire menu and wine list. I'll tell you everything we ordered was delicious. The flavor profile of the spiny lobster spring rolls were to die for, while writing this it's evoking cravings for more. I had the gulf fish special of the evening, it was amazing, a perfect for summer dish which was just what I wanted. It had a watermelon, feta salad that accompanied it perfectly. I tried the whole fish, and OMG get it!!! That's the best way to eat fresh catch Gulf fish in my opinion, it was melt in your mouth, fall off the bone, and the flavors and seasoning were on point! Let's not forget about the decadent dessert which was 13 layers of chocolate! Just get it!!! It was velvety goodness! The cocktails were fantastic and very well executed. We had a bottle of wine with dinner. They have a superb wine list. When in Orange Beach, Voyagers is a must!

Wow. We had a phenomenal meal and exceptional service. Rusty took care of our group of 5 and took extra time to not only get to know us but also tell us about some great hidden gems in the area and give us an interesting cocktail lesson. From the bread, to tartare to entrees (I got the whole snapper), everything was soo good! And the cocktails were impressive as well - I recommend the sazarec and banana old fashioned. Reservations are recommended and the price point is a little high but well worth the experience.

Nice piece of fish. Sauce was amazing.

We were in town for a little anniversary getaway and decided to celebrate at Voyagers. The ambiance is very nice and the service was impeccable. Scott was very attentive and explained the specials so deliciously. We weren't really all that impressed with the food. I had the fish special which was very good (sauce was amazing), but it came with these little pasta dumpling type things. The pasta was very undercooked and thick. I overheard a man at the table next to us complaining to the manager about the same thing. My husband had the pork chopped and said it was good, but the start of the show was his potato hash. He raved about it. We had really good drinks. We don't go to Orange Beach often, but the next time we visit we would probably try someplace else. BTW....Very expensive!

I wish I would have taken a photo before we dove into our meal but it was just too delicious to stop. The view, the service, and food were all spectacular. We love coming here when we come to Perdido Beach Resort! Definitely worth the stop if you're in the area.

My husband and I love Voyagers for a date night! I always get the petite filet & bayside Bleu Mac. On our most recent visit, another table had ordered the bolognese and it looked and smelled amazing so we also ordered that to try. It was divine! The staff is super knowledgeable and always recommends a yummy wine to pair with dinner. Voyagers is one of our favorite restaurants in Orange Beach!

Chef made a special vegetarian pasta that was amazing!

We were staying at the Perdido Beach Resort over Memorial Day weekend and the restaurant was booked. Sally worked her magic and was able to get us in for a late dinner as my husband was not returning from his scuba trip until 8:30. That was the first great impression. Once seated, Adam came over and said he saw notes stating I was a vegetarian and asked what kind of things I liked and the chef would make something for me based on that. We settled with a vegetarian pasta dish (minus onion and garlic as I don't like those ingredients) and let me tell you it was one of the best pasta dishes I have ever had. It was delicious! My husband had the strip and a baked potato (not the stuffed one as he doesn't like onion either). Both were really good. They start with fresh baked bread and it too was delicious. I had a bottle of wine I brought in (the corkage fee is $30) and hubby had some domestic beers. We ended with the pistachio cheesecake and it was divine. They also brought out some chocolate covered strawberries. A manager stopped by at the end to make sure we were happy and we expressed just how nice the entire experience was. The restaurant is very pretty and the food and service were top notch. We eat in many fine dining places at home and on our frequent travels, and this one rates at the top! They have steaks and seafood dishes but will happily accommodate a vegetarian request. If you find yourself going to the area, book this restaurant and you won't be sorry. It is dinner only.

    Ask the Community - Voyagers

Is there availability to rent a room for a semi private party of up to 30 people?

No. It's small. Probably have to rent the whole restaurant.

We are going to be in OB for a beach vacation and have a reservation for Thursday night. What is the dress code? Do I need to pack a sport coat? I am trying to decide if I can pack khakis with a nice shirt.

I don't think I've ever seen a sports jacket in OB. Total casual, including shorts, tee shirt and sandals. This is the red neck Riviera after all. Enjoy.

Do you allow patrons to bring in there own wine?

Who is "you"? But I do mt know w of any restaurants that allow customers to bring their own wine?

ATMOSPHERE Nothing too special about the atmosphere here. I just love that. It was nice clean open area with large windows and plenty of seating and easy to get around. The bar area look cool and the layout was nice. FOOD this is why you came here, right! All kinds of fish cooked all kinds of different ways. Delicious gumbo. Love that pimento cheese ball appetizer with that blueberry pepper jelly! For lunch, I had the meat and three. It was all good, especially the collard greens. SERVICE THIS WAS MAYBE SOME OF THE BEST SERVICE I HAD THE WHOLE TIME I WAS IN ORANGE BEACH THIS WEEKEND. OUR SERVER WAS SO AMAZING. I HATE THAT I CAN'T REMEMBER HER NAME, BUT SHE WAS ON TOP OF IT AND SUPER DELIGHTFUL. DRINKS The bar area looked really nice. Most of my table had iced tea which everybody enjoyed. I also got a beer from the Mississippi Gulf Coast. I was very impressed by their beer selection and they are a verified venue on the Untappd app so you can go to that app to look at all the beer selection and even filter and sort the beers so that you can have an easier time selecting the proper beverage. It even came out in a glass that matched the beer that I had! I like that extra touch.

They had a meat and three sides which is a southern thing. I chose the fresh catch. with side salad, boiled red potatoes, and greens. I had asked the server for the salad first. But it was brought with the meal. The salad was fresh and crisp, with a surprise of a small Peppa dew pepper. Blazing red with a little heat and delicious. Haven't seen them in a restaurant ever. Unfortunately my fish and potatoes were cold, cold and butter congealed. The greens were warm and good I had also ordered the cornbread. It was refreshing to see that it wasn't the usual cake like kind, plus not the ultra sweet kind either. More bread like with a hint of sweetness. Delicious. The fish and potatoes had a nice flavor but unfortunately the cold food spoiled the experience. Since I was a guest of my sister I didn't say anything about the cold food. What a disappointment. Maybe when I return things will be better.

Since it had rained off and on all day, we opted to eat inside. Service was a 6 on a scale of 10. Our server was "interesting". He didn't share the specials but luckily they were taped to the hostess stand. When we asked about things he would say glad you asked or you're so smart. I felt he was being sarcastic but other than that he was fine. All the staff we encountered were nice. Mom and I ordered the fried shrimp. I love shrimp so it was a no brainer for me. He sold my mom on it since they have the best fried shrimp in the gulf (that's actually on the wall too). My sister got the grouper special. Food came out quickly. We loved our food. Coleslaw was good and you got a good portion size. My sister said her grouper was seasoned well and fried perfectly. While I did enjoy my shrimp I would have devoured them if I had more cocktail sauce. You make your own at the table, which was fun but it just wasn't enough. I made two and it still wasn't the amount I like. Overall, good experience and food was good too.

Bad: They fried the stuffed crab shells, looked like toasted ravioli from St. Louis. Over cooked and dry. Chicken tender appetizer was a nice portion size but tasted awful. We think they needed to change their grease. The chicken was decent on inside but bad oil soaked breading and made it inedible. If you want your tea or soda to taste good you might want to order water. Our drinks were watery and had too much ice. Cola was see through, sweet tea very weak and watery. Ambiance: if it's cool enough to eat outdoors do so. Inside is a dreary grey with black tables and overall feeling of depression it's so dark. If you are getting a steak they seem to do that well. Otherwise would not recommend.

The lobby area was completely packed and loud, the manager was ENTIRELY disinterested in anything we had to say and didn't care at all that we had been waiting an hour and a half. Cobalt clearly doesn't give a crap whether or not you come back or leave a bad review. The local restaurant choices for large parties are limited, and Cobalt is so busy they apparently don't need to worry about customer service.
