GT's in The Bay is one of our favorite brunch restaurants in Orange Beach. They have a large indoor dining room with a full bar, and also a large patio/deck and full bar out back on Wolf Bay. They have plenty of photo opps on their boardwalk/pier, too! The service has always been top notch, and their dishes are tasty! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Large place on the water. Came for a quick bite and drink. We were seated outside with a great view of the water. The service was good, our server recommended some of the appetizers. The outdoor seating had 2 Big Ass Fans that cooled the entire outside seating area. We tried the Totchos and Firecracker Shrimp. Both were tasty but the shrimp were too thick with the sauce. Beers were cold and ended out lunch with a Bushwacker drink. Overall a good spot to visit.
Absolutely amazing service And early dinner. Salad bar was amazing and so fresh. The hamburger was as seasoned perfectly and had a wonderful grill flavor. Definitely will be back!! Love the atmosphere!! Loved watching the fish tank in the middle
We called ahead and were told the wait was 90 min but "they have 2 huge bars and you can eat at a bar". We arrived and were told the wait was 2 hours (we were a party of 3) so we put ourselves on the list and went to see what the bar situation was. The outside bar was PACKED!! and a long line to even order a drink. We finally managed to find 3 seats at the inside bar and after we ordered our drink we got notified our table was ready after only 30 minutes but we stayed at the bar. I ordered the grouper, my mom got the surf and turf and my sister got the firecracker shrimp. We all loved our meals. The grouper was amazing and the grits were to die for!!!

This place has went belly up First off all the have working here is non Americans from Dominican Republic They are heartless not emotions And the kitchen staff same way Worst food Ive ever got from Gts And we eat here every year for the last 10 years It might look the same but this place terrible now The waitress even took my wife's plate and she wasn't even done with it What low class workers they have here now I will not eat here again until they change the staffing
From the moment we pulled into the parking lot which was maintained and organized, and walking thru the 10 foot high wood & glass entry doors, I felt this place was special. Warm beach woods lined the waiting area and a long hallway to get to the main dining room with its large open top "pool" that had large native fish circulating in it. We walked through the nicely appointed interior dining and headed for the huge covered patio, which was open to the north highlighting the view of the slightly windswept Wolf Bay. Massive backbar to the West with a Steel Drummer putting an Island vibe to 1980's popular music including opening soundtracks to 1970's to turn of the century tv shows. OK, this place is cool! Service? It was a slow start. We got there at the end of Happy Hour and the start of the dinner crowd coming in as the sun was setting to the west. After meeting Sergio, our waiter from Romania, we started a "connection", We mentioned that my partner was celiac and dairy intolerant, he shifter his focus from me to my wife, making her feel welcome and making her confident that the staff here take her dietary concerns seriously We ordered GTs on the Bay signature drinks, which were expertly proportioned, ordered our dinner, and then walked out on the dock to the boat parking for the restaurant which was ample for 100's of people to enjoy dining here. We got to only the end of the first third of the dock to snap a picture of the sunset, looked back and they were delivering our food! My God, that was quick! We hustled back to our table on the deck to find our superbly cooked 8 oz medium rare filet tenderloin with smashed gold Yukon potatoes, and my wife's catch of the day, Grilled Amberjack fish with grilled island vegetables. But it was missing the Yukon potatoes. Just then, Sergio shows up to let us know that the kitchen staff recognized that the Yukon Smashed had butter mixed within it for its creamy consistency and they substituted boiled red potatoes, which arrived by another courier as he spoke. Ambience, Service, Food. It was all superb. We have been coming to Orange Beach sporadically since 2015, and now a week every year as we love the area. GT's will be one of our Go To place to take friends and family to share our greatest discoveries in this locale.
Everything we ordered was crab claws, kids cheeseburgers, kids chicken fingers, GT's Grouper and the pork chop. Everyone was very happy with their food. My husband loved the pork chop. I ordered GT's Grouper. It was the best fish/meal I have ever had! I'm the person who refuses to eat places I can eat at home when on vacation. Definitely a foodie. It was perfectly crusted, the sauce was delicious, the cheese grits were perfect. Zero complaints! We also ordered the Heath bar blondie and it was good too. Our waiter was great! Visited the table often and stayed on top of our drinks. We loved walking out on the dock and the kids loved playing in the sand area. The restaurant is beautiful and we enjoyed the live music. We'll definitely be back every time we're in town!

GTs On The Bay was suggested so we decided to beat the crowd and check them out for lunch. As soon as we entered the restaurant we were greeted and seated. We noticed the restaurant was tidy but you can tell it's an older establishment, but it had great views with a huge fish tank the middle of the restaurant. They also had a small folk band performing. We were greeted by our waiter and were able to immediately place our orders. I decided I would start off with an appetizer so I ordered a cup of gumbo soup and the salad bar. For lunch, I ordered the shrimp creole. After I was given my plate and visited the salad bar, as soon as I sat back down, my lunch was already served. I definitely appreciate the fast service, but that was too fast to the point where as I ate my soup and salad appetizer when I got to my lunch dish, it was cold. Nonetheless the salad bar was nice. It had a lot of variety of food items and my gumbo soup was so delicious. It was seasoned well and was served hot. I wish I could've taken a pot home with me. The shrimp creole dish was taken home since it was a little cold by the time I could eat it, but it was very delicious and flavorful. For $11, it was a lot of food so the proportion was great. All in all, I enjoyed GTs and will definitely be back again!
Had an early Forth of July dinner at GT's and the restaurant is so cool. What a view of the bay! I ordered the snow crab and it was delicious! Other orders at my table were the shrimp and grits, creole shrimp and rice, and the brisket and tots with AL sauce. All delicious and everyone was thrilled with their meals. Oh and the pina coladas were tasty!
Really nice atmosphere and ambiance. Restaurant is nice and large. Great view of the bay. I ate sheep head fish. It was good. Large portion. Service was good too. Prices are very reasonable.
First Jordan was the bomb.com. The food we ordered was mouthwatering, flavorful,fresh,and savory. The pork chop dinner was unbelievably delicious the sweet potatoes were loaded with flavor and the greens ( someone put there foot in them) they were seasoned so well every bite was give my tastebuds a happy dance and the pork chop cooked perfectly not dry super flavorful with the sauce honestly this meal will have me come back often. Linguine it's not spicy if they say it's spicy it's not. The peppers crawfish and shrimp were seasoned perfectly literally every bite had seasoning on it and it was joyful Crab legs... who can't go wrong with crab legs, but here they stepped it up by seasoning the crab that enhanced the flavor and it was finger licking good PoBoy sandwich first the amount shrimp on that sandwich was excessive in the right way absolutely fantastic fried perfectly not greasy and once again the seasoning was top of the line!!! Strawberry mojito will have you ordering it every few minutes The GTs rum punch was delicious To top this all off was the view I love the bay and it was beautiful today
Great experience! We were given a 45-60 minute wait time, but were pleasantly surprised to be seated in about 15 minutes. I ordered the shrimp & grits which was absolutely amazing! I'd never had grits in fried patties like that but man oh man, scoop you up some of that creamy sauce with it & Lord have mercy it was amazing! Unfortunately I also got a small salad before my meal & didn't have room to finish my entree but I definitely brought it home with me. The salad bar was probably the best I've had - those croutons! Yum! The ranch was good too - if like ranch then you know how different they can be - this was the good ranch! My husband got the pork chop & he said it was really good! My son got the creole linguini pasta & said it was great. It looked to be well seasoned & packed full of flavor! I forgot to get a picture of his. While I don't have any little kids, they did have a neat little play area for them with sand. Outside bar (the drinks were a little pricey in my opinion, my husband's small margarita was like $15 - I stuck to tea lol. They have a nice long dock that you can walk out on, the sunset was pretty. The waitstaff was nice, the only thing I'd suggest is for the host staff to be a little more welcoming & friendly. I know they probably get tired of the lines of people & having to repeat the same thing over & over but I'm sure most everyone they encounter is experiencing that establishment for the first time. First impressions are so important & your staff can make or break you. Luckily, the food is so good that I could overlook that in this case. I'd definitely recommend this place! read more
five stars for the food we ordered but we had gumbo and salad bar. the salad bar is huge! there are several fresh made dressings available. there are several salads also on the bar in addition to the traditional garden style. gumbo was a dark roux with shrimp, sausage and rice. we both enjoyed fresh cocktails while taking in the bay view. service was fast and friendly. Frank was our waiter and was extremely knowledgeable of the menu. this place is huge and has a nice play area if you have kids with you. i really enjoyed this spot but if you have kids it's perfect! read more

Sitting on the bay and having dinner was so beautiful. The sunset was incredible, and our server was fantastic (we had a party of 22). The food was ok. I had shrimp and grits which was delicious. My husband tried the Parmesan crusted grouper and wasn't a fan. It was heavily seasoned, and the filet of fish was extremely thin. Others in our party had mixed reviews about their food as well. Overall, the playground and views from the restaurant were very nice but food was just ok. read more

One of the best restaurants we've been to in Gulf Shores/Orange Beach area. We sat outside and it was so nice! The fans kept it cool. You cannot beat the views either. My kids loved the play area and we all loved our food! read more

Great place for families along with adults who like to groove... Must try the "Blondie" dessert along with the all you can eat salad bar with everything but the kitchen sink available!! Service is always professional as well as proficient- and the view of the bay offers unforgettable Orange Beach sunsets to wind down to after a few jigs on the dance floor to a rocking live band read more

A large restaurant, right on the water. With a spacious inside area including bar, salad bar, inside & outside seating. We came during lunch time and were seated promptly. A large menu is offered but lunch specials are a great deal. My grandfather was highly pleased with the salad bar available. It is one of the few in the area. Our service was good and food was brought out in a timely manner. I opted for the fried shrimp lunch special. It was tasty with crispy battered shrimp and well seasoned fries with coleslaw. Overall, an adequate choice if in Orange Beach looking for somewhere to eat. read more

It was a long wait for a party of 2 but we were able to sit at the full service bar right away. We didn't have the benefit of the water view but it was a small price to pay. Initially I wasn't excited about grits but I really wanted the grouper. I took a chance and so glad I did. It was so amazingly delicious. It was a melody of goodness. I liked it so much I saved some for breakfast the next day. read more

GTs on the Bay is a popular seafood restaurant. Kid and group friendly. Decent salad bar priced small plate, single visit, two visits, or unlimited visits. Friend's Caesar Salad, a good test of any restaurant, was disappointing and over-dressed. Grouper Sandwich was probably the best item of the night. I chose the unlimited salad bar and platter of shrimp cocktail. Next visit I'd probably order the steamed Peel 'n Eat Shrimp and the salad bar. Several brewskies on draught. Bay view venue. Open daily, lunch and dinner. Private parking lot. Live music during dinner. Small Gripe: Salad bar croutons were nothing more than toasted bread without butter or oil, or seasoning. Does not belong at any salad bar. Holiday Inn salad bar croutons are better. read more
