1/2 Muffuletta Sandwich
Shayla V.

So my husband and I have been to New Orleans and have had the muffuletta sandwich there from a very prominent place. Per usual upon visiting anywhere, I searched on Yelp for unique places. I'm also pregnant and was craving a hearty sandwich! I stopped in and was tossed between three different ones and the girl at the bar/counter quickly asked if I liked olives, and I said yes. She said I should definitely try the Muffuletta sandwich then, so without a second question I ordered a half, later regretting not getting a whole, and asked for it to be heated. As I waited I heard her joking to the chef that that sandwich was for a pregnant lady and my expectations were high, and if it did not meet my expectations, she'd allow me in the back to let him know. I giggled lol! A few minutes later she handed me my sandwich and I quickly opened it, and devoured it! It not only exceeded my expectations, but it was right up there with the one I had in New Orleans with my husband. And man that bread..... the meat, the spread, all so flavorful and so delicious! I'm hoping to go back before I leave!

Who Dat Po Boy - 1/2 shrimp 1/2 oyster

Solid po boy with fresh seafood reasonably priced. Nice people and quick service. Would go back for sure.

Service great. I hate to give a mediocre review the food.... Not really for us. Poorboy bread fell apart, gumbo super watery, fries excellent, boudin balls would get again. Cool place!

Cajun Caviar PoBoy and cup of Gumbo

More of a local feel off "the strip" of Orange Beach. We tend to shy away from chains and touristy places when traveling so I'm glad I stumbled across this little gem when searching for a quick lunch. Sadly, they were out of oysters at the time but the shrimp were so well lightly breaded and tasty that we didn't really miss it. I had the Cajun Caviar PoBoy with a cup of gumbo. The gumbo was the star of the show, meaty with a nice spice. They also have take and bake options, which I joked about going back to get before our 13 hour drive home. If we had more time to spend in OB, I'd definitely return for a second helping.

First time here, been looking forward to some Nawlins grub. I ordered the muffaletta & homemade chips. My honey got the Who Dat which is a 1/2 fried oyster 1/2 fried shrimp Po' boy. Beer for her, lemonade for me. My muffaletta was very good and the chips were excellent, could have had a bunch more. My sweetheart thoroughly enjoyed her PO' boys so it was a hit and I am looking forward to trying more of the fun stuff on the menu. They have a meat fridge with prepared stuffed pork chop, meatballs, stiffed roasts, stuffed whole chickens & breasts, turduckens, sausage, gumbo, etouffee, cajun spaghetti & assorted other items. Check out my pictures for a good idea of what's happening here. For some of the other observations, pretty good beer selection, there's a couple TV's and they had several people come in for to-go orders while we were there, might have to do that myself :-) Their health department rating is 99 which is always good :-) Megan from Lafayette, LA& her hubby Jesse is from Cajun country as well and & their 2 kids moved here in March and they opened up this cool place in April so they're new locals in paradise. I say support this lovely family and their lovely business. Bottom line: It's a well rounded Louisiana experience and we will be back, it's dawg gone good!

Came here for lunch & it didn't disappoint! Had the fried shrimp po boy & it was delicious, the bread it comes on was amazing. Don't miss the house made chips, definitely worth adding to your meal. They have an array of local and regional bottled & canned beers and loved they gave you a koozie for it. Everyone in our group left very full & happy.

Oyster Poboy

We grabbed lunch here today and everyone was very pleased with the food and service. I had the oyster Poboy and it was fantastic. The roll it was on was so good. Tried the pepper jack boudin balls and we all loved them! Never had smoked fries before until here and they are very good and unique. You should try this place if you are in the area and bring a big appetite.

Burger, wings boudin balls and beer....Hello baby! It all was awesome!

$18 for a burger and drink is a littleeee on the pricy side, and the tables were sticky.

It's the food folks go there for. The oysters were fresh and served in a simple appealing way. The fish was white and firm and delicious. The grilled shrimp they are famous for do not have a savory flavor, tastes more like they were grilled with honey on them. We were not expecting that at all. We did not like the 30 dollars worth of sweet shrimp. It does come in very generous portion if you like that type of flavor. Hush puppies were pretty darn good, light, nicely seasoned with good flavor. The Cole slaw was excellent. All portions were generous. Overall they are friendly, the service is personable and efficient! Ambiance is that of a local diner style, not fancy just comfortable. We liked everything but the sweet grilled shrimp. We are from the north and maybe it is just a southern style we aren't familiar with or used to consuming. The gumbo is pretty good too. They have great mixed drinks and they have one that is a salted caramel flavor that is really excellent. Overall: would highly recommend for a good meal and friendly service. Probably the best place we ate in the Orange Beach area.

They have a counter full of ice for fresh items, coolers for premade goods, and freezers for frozen items. There is also a very easy to understand menu. We were feeding 4 teenagers and 2 adults so we decided to go with 3 of the boils. We added in crab legs to two. The crab legs are frozen so you just pick out which pack you want. You have 3 seasons to choose from, mild, medium, or Cajun. We did the medium and Cajun. We also grabbed a container of their lump crab dip and a peanut butter pie. Oh and you can't forget the garlic butter. They even warmed it up for us. I will say with everything we got we probably could have fed at least one more person. We did have one teen that wasn't fond of shrimp but she ate plenty of other things. Our meal cost us just under $200. That's just over $33 per person with dessert for 6 people. The sausage was really good. It was the main thing the kids wished we had more of, that and potatoes. They are big potato fans. I didn't think the potatoes really had a chance to soak up the flavor but if you cut them open and rubbed them around it was good. I thought overall everything was a bit salty and that's a lot coming from me. I'm the girl that salts my chocolate chip cookies. I like my salt y'all! The shrimp was a bit over cooked or something because it was extremely hard to peel but wasn't rubbery. We got the large shrimp and the headless reds. To be honest with you I couldn't really tell a difference. If I did it over again I wouldn't waste the extra money on the reds. The dip was very good. It was loaded with flavor and clumps of crab just like it should be. It did not have any shells that we came across which is a big plus in my book. The peanut butter pie was very tasty. I highly recommend it! We are already planning to stop back in when we head back down for our next wrestling tournament. You really can not beat the price for seafood in the area.
