    Shrimp tacos

First time visiting after a day on the water. They gave pull up dock so you can step right off the boat and enjoy a meal. Patio is dog friendly. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Server was friendly and the food came out quickly. Everything was fresh and delicious. Teenagers liked their build your own burger that had plenty of options. The nachos were good and even the half order was a large portion. The shrimp tacos were very good and flavorful. The pork sandwich had a very generous piece of meat lol! We ended the meal with beignets which were yummy, but ask for extra powdered sugar if you like them more traditional

    1. Service was good And server was very sweet. 2. Atmosphere was good. Would have loved to have live music piped to where we was sitting and not him singing and the box music at the same time. 3. Love the layout 4. Food was amazing and so fresh and delicious. The grilled pineapple margarita was so good that spice hits hard at the beginning wow so good. 5. Glad we saw a friend post on Facebook always looking for new places we never been. Oh the tuna was cooked to perfection

Wonderful location. Gorgeous views of the harbor. We saw a dolphin in the harbor. Food is delicious. I ate grouper. It was really good. I enjoyed their Bushwhacker drinks. So good. Nice service. Friendly staff.

We were in Orange beach for a short weekend trip. Were recommended this place for the food and live bands. The food was great the live band was fun and entertaining.

OSO is a staple stop every time we go out in the boat. We stop in for gas and while we are there we usually grab some brunch and or drinks. The service is fantastic. We have some regular wait staff that we love seeing. The vibes are immaculate. Definitely worth a stop if you have never been.

The food was very good we had the grilled snapper and snapper étouffée. The fish were good but the sides were just ok. I had the ginger rice and Asian slaw. The server was nice and attentive. It was pretty to look at the boats out on the bay. The bartender was very good and I really enjoyed the coconut mojito. Also the bushwhacker cheesecake was delish.

    The Big Tuna

We had the sweetest waitress named Sasha(if I remember correctly) she was very helpful and on top of things. Oysters weren't great but they made up for it with the Big Tuna and the Shrimp Poboy. Easily the best fried shrimp we had on this trip to Orange Beach and we ate at numerous restaurants this trip. Give it a try!!

We were able to call ahead and get "on the list," which is always a plus! However, they don't officially have reservations. We ordered a variety of items in our party of 10 and we were all VERY pleased and portions were just right! We had the gumbo ramen (rated a 10), proud Mary (rated a 10), blackened red fish (10), tempura tantrum (7), fried shrimp (9) and kids ate a variety of items and they all loved their meals! The atmosphere was great! Wish we could have seated outside but they didn't have seating for large parties on the porch. We will be back!

My advice, find a seat, have someone order at the order window, then head to the bar to order drinks. The wait to order food took about a half hour. It was very quick to get our drinks. We were able to snag a couch area on a platform. It was so comfy and we loved the views. A heads up- if you snag a couch like this, kids will get up on the platform and jump off of it. People will step up on the platform and walk extremely close to you. I had to ask a kid to stop throwing sand by us because we were eating our dinner. It was a little chaotic. We were extremely patient and understand, but I could see some people being very upset and annoyed. After ordering, our food came out pretty quick. I started with the coconut grouper bites and they were phenomenal. Light breading, lightly sweat, and flaky. I had the Gulf Grilled Cobia and it was phenomenal. The fish was tender, flaky, and light. No fishiness at all. The sauce on the fish was also delightful. My husband and son had the fajita skewers and both enjoyed them. My husband also had the peel and eat shrimp and said they were amazing at The Gulf. Our drinks were okay. We had better drinks at other places during the week, but they weren't bad. We would return, but try to come on an off-time that wasn't so busy.

Views right by the ocean, an open themed bar, palm trees, and music. It's not a quiet date night spot; more like a nice waterfront spot to take your friends and/or kids. The food was ok. I had the Cobia BLT & fries. The fries were good but the blt was tough. The bread was also a bit stale. The coconut fish bite appetizers were a 10/10. Delicious. Wifey had the mahi mahi tacos which she thought were just ok as well -- again tough. She did not however enjoy the cauliflower bites. I personally enjoyed them. We had mixed feelings about it. Great ambience, ok food. May come back.

It's the food folks go there for. The oysters were fresh and served in a simple appealing way. The fish was white and firm and delicious. The grilled shrimp they are famous for do not have a savory flavor, tastes more like they were grilled with honey on them. We were not expecting that at all. We did not like the 30 dollars worth of sweet shrimp. It does come in very generous portion if you like that type of flavor. Hush puppies were pretty darn good, light, nicely seasoned with good flavor. The Cole slaw was excellent. All portions were generous. Overall they are friendly, the service is personable and efficient! Ambiance is that of a local diner style, not fancy just comfortable. We liked everything but the sweet grilled shrimp. We are from the north and maybe it is just a southern style we aren't familiar with or used to consuming. The gumbo is pretty good too. They have great mixed drinks and they have one that is a salted caramel flavor that is really excellent. Overall: would highly recommend for a good meal and friendly service. Probably the best place we ate in the Orange Beach area.

She was not, the hostess was mistaken. The "manager" backed up her employee and we were told that we would not be served - after an hour and a half. I respect a manager backing up their employee, but there is a much larger theme here and Cobalt clearly dropped the ball. The lobby area was completely packed and loud, the manager was ENTIRELY disinterested in anything we had to say and didn't care at all that we had been waiting an hour and a half. Cobalt clearly doesn't give a crap whether or not you come back or leave a bad review. The local restaurant choices for large parties are limited, and Cobalt is so busy they apparently don't need to worry about customer service. We won't be back, and I strongly suggest that anyone with a large party avoid Cobalt.
