Great food and service as usual. This is our go to when we visit the coast. If you haven't tried it before you might want to check it out.

First time here...stepped out of my box & had FROG LEGS for the appetizer...Wow!!!! Outstanding!!! Then enjoyed the Gouda cheese grits & shrimp. Another first for me.. it was recommended by our waiter...amazing!!! My boyfriend had the shrimp & mushroom Diane pasta dish...that was fabulous too! I just might have to order that next time!!! Fisherman's Corner is one of the best restaurants on the Gulf of America coast! It's under the Perdido Key Bridge on the West Side. It is a white tablecloth restaurant, but still remains beach casual. I've eaten their Pork Chop with Blackberry Sauce, Creole Seafood Pasta, and Gumbo....all masterpieces of Culinary excellence. Friendly informative efficient servers. Other servers brought out items as they were ready instead of waiting till our server was available. Menu and specials were explained perfectly. Fish, onion rings and tuna dip was the star for this one. Had fried flounder, crab cake and a burger. With the perfectly flavored/cooked flounder, the onion rings had the same batter or very similar. Both were fantastic. Cole slaw was not for me. I assume tarragon. I am pretty sure the crab cake had tarragon and was slightly burnt on one side. I would pass on the crab cake and cole slaw. Greeted immediately by our server Logan who was very friendly and shared with us his favorites. We all loved our food. The gumbo salad was a lot, it was enough for two! Logan checked with use frequently to make sure everything was good and drinks were refilled. Will be back when in the area. PS praline caramel bread pudding, YUM! read more

This was our first visit to this restaurant by recommendation and it was phenomenal. Shooo was our waiter and he was amazing. He told us all about the specials the drinks everything and made great recommendations. We definitely had to take food home because they give you so much. Went here last night for the first time! My husband had the pork chop with the blackberry BBQ sauce dish. It was phenomenal. He let me have a bite and I had plate envy. I had the seafood pasta which was very good. The chicken Alfredo didn't disappoint either. We will visit again hopefully soon! read more

Second visit, same results! Great food, delicious cocktails, and great service! We opened with Fried Green Tomatoes and Spicy Oysters and adult beverages. A Sazerac for me and a glass of wine for my wife. The oysters were delicious! The Fried Green Tomatoes we a huge and delicious as well! My wife ordered their Grilled Chicken Salad while I ordered their Seafood Sampler again. All came out with superb presentation and were absolutely delicious! OK, before I start this review let me be honest up front: The minute I placed my order, I was ready to give Fisherman's Corner a 2-star review. Why you might ask? THEY TOOK THE CHICKEN PARM OFF THE MENU! When the server confirmed this, I was horrified. I loved that dish at the Corner. I'm still in shock. So I was ready to vent. But as you can see, I ended up at 4 stars. My son, who also loved the chicken parm, ended up with a grilled chicken sandwich, which he said was ok. Wife had her usual shrimp and grits, which she always loves. The grit ball is always unique, albeit a bit dry, and the rest is perfect for her. I had the Creole Seafood Alfredo. He warned me it would be spicy. I was still reeling from my chicken parm news, but thought it sounded like my best option and when it came and I took the first few bites I was almost angry at how much I loved it. Yes, it might be as good as (not better) than the aforementioned sadly removed menu item. There, I said it. It was great. We will be back, even with the changes. Tie me at the mast cocktail was delicious. The outside bar was a little tacky. And the corner smelled like cat pee. There was some live music outside in the parking lot which was nice while we waited. Our party of 4 was seated within 40minutes after being told and 1.5hr wait - score! I have been to Perdido Key three times and never heard of this hidden gem. Although it doesn't look like much on the outside, the tables have white table cloths and cloth napkins. The servers were all incredibly friendly and quick. They were very helpful on ordering suggestions as well. The gumbo really is as good as they claim. Also, anything you get blackened will become your favorite food ever!!! Can't say enough about the Cole slaw. It is the best I ever had!! read more

Excellent service. The place is a quaint little restaurant but it gives off good vibes with all the wait staff. Everyone looked happy to be there serving and took pride in the food. This was close by and near another place we had visited and it was suggested as well as another place. The food was good here too. The service was great. We got a table on entry. They were out of a few items but none of what we wanted to order. Diner was rustic but with the at home look to it, we were all happy with our selections. Ok, the place is pretty unassuming, but don't let looks deceive you. This is our go to every time we come through the Gulf Shores/Pensacola area. Service is always great (this time Shane waited on us, and he was awesome), and the food is superb. Price wise, it's comparable to anywhere else in the area, if not a bit less, and worth every penny. Try the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer; they come smothered in a delicious Cajun crawfish sauce. The Shrimp Dianne is a winner as an entree, BUT the Bone-in Pork Chop with Blackberry BBQ Sauce will change your life. There are other great items on the menu, but trust me, try the pork chop. They stated that they have world famous gumbo, THEY ARE NOT LYING! I don't care for gumbo but it was the best I ever had; the seared tune salad was phenomenal, and finally, the Jim's Spicy Oysters were out of this world. Then came the bread pudding, a slice of heaven for sure. We ate at the place next door one night. When we were leaving, they were closing up, and almost empty. On the way to the car we noticed this place was still on a wait with 15-20 people standing outside waiting to be seated. We were like, "well.... maybe we should have gone there..." So we did the next night. We had about a 30 minute wait when we arrived. It stayed packed the entire time. The inside is kinda divey, kinda dark, kinda haphazardly designed like it just evolved over time with no real plan. I love it! Our server was a middle aged gentleman that was obviously a veteran of the service industry and has probably worked here for a while. He had some great suggestions and steered me in a direction I would have never gone on my own for dinner at a place like this. We had to get frog legs to start, cause you just don't see those every day on menus. They were the absolute best I have ever had. Perfectly cooked, brilliantly seasoned, soft and crunchy at the same time, I could go on and on. We also had the nearly world famous gumbo. That's a stretch, but it was pretty good. It wasn't much better than what I can get around Memphis. For dinner, we let our server steer us, I am glad I did, but not so much the bride. He told us the two best dishes were the Pork Chop and whatever pasta we got. I can't remember the name of the pasta dish and I didn't even taste it to see what it was about. She didn't love it and barely ate any. The pork chop was ridiculous good!!! Huge, thick cut with a bone, perfectly grilled about med well, topped with a bad ass sweet and spicy BBQ sauce. I loved every bite of it. Cajun Mac was terrible and I took one bite. The potatoes were pretty good. That pork chop though! I debated between 4 and 5, but the server, pork chop, and frog legs were so good that it left a huge mark in my food memory bank. I will most likely try and get back here again someday if I can. Great service, incredible value, truly gourmet execution with down to earth charm. After visiting at least a dozen times, we went again tonight. Still dressed up a bit from work we felt comfortable, not overdressed. It's a place you can truly come as you are. Veteran (literally) Brent our server was showing Jessie the ropes and they took great care of us. We ordered the crab cake (perfect, light and fluffy yet stays together) Side salads (we were asked our preference on toppings which is always nicer than the other way around) I had the Creole Seafood Pasta (I was finally tempted away from the Creole blackened chicken alfredoand the pork chops). From the moment we stepped in the amazing experience began! The host took my request for a party of 10 with a positive attitude. He went right into "let me see what I can do" mode! After about a 25 minute wait right before rush time, we were seated. There's an area outside in the shade to listen to music and relax. Our waiter was incredibly helpful with explaining the menu and our glasses were never empty. The pork chop was epic, catfish incredible, macaroni and cheese was the bomb, frog legs were good as well.
