Crabcake

The food was fantastic, adorable place and service was top notch. Our server was so attentive and friendly! We had several appetizers and entrees, all of which were delicious. The crabcake was a favorite, as well as their steaks! We will definitely be back.

I want to start out by saying this restaurant is fairly new. Maybe less than 6 months in business. I really wanted this place to be fantastic. This area needs some good steak places. First all the great things this place did right! The atmosphere was very nice for a romantic or casual night out. Restaurant has some charm to it . The server was very help and even offer us a option that wasn't on the menu. Service was great. However, the two biggest disappointments was lack of good food options on the menu (which they just re-did their menu) and the bar drinks were terrible. My wife order a Lemon drop martini and we sent it back because it was so bad. The beer they brought out had 2" of foam on top. (This is a no no for beer drinker) We got Buffalo wings and they tasted like they had hot sauce rub on them. They also left the small wing part on (who does that?) The ribeye sandwich would have been good if they hadn't included gravy on top of it. The gravy was not good at all. The manager was very nice and did adjust our ticket for some of the issues. We will try them again later because we do like the location and the service. But we will give them time to change out their menu some! Also, it would have been nice to see some more option a little more budget friendly on the menu. Hopefully they will get things turned around. I would give them a try because the atmosphere and service is great!

WOW. An amazing experience at a newer restaurant. Absolutely spectacular steaks. The restaurant buys the beef and butchers themselves. Tender and flavorful plus cooked to perfection! We had the 8oz tenderloin and the 14oz ribeye. Sides were delicious green beans and whipped potatoes. My husband upgraded to potatoes au gratin. They were delicious with white and sweet potato and fresh parm. Our dessert was the best ever. A chocolate pistachio terrine

Excellent food and excellent service. If they have shrimp toast as a special be warned that it would be spicier than anticipated.

Our waiter, Craig, was outstanding--funny, personable, attentive, and truly enhanced our dining experience. The filets were cooked perfectly to order, tender and flavorful, and the butter sauce was the perfect complement to the meat. Every aspect of the meal was thoughtfully prepared and expertly executed. From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. We would absolutely recommend Voyager to anyone seeking a five-star dining experience in Orange Beach.

When we first arrived at the resort, we were in awe by the beautiful landscaping. We arrived early and decided to have a cocktail at the resort bar before our dinner reservation at 7:30PM. There was live music in the lounge area. When we checked in for our reservation, we were seated right away by a window, which I requested. The view was nice. Our waitress was quiet and seemed very busy with multiple tables. For appetizers, we ordered the fried quail knots and a bowl of soup. For dinner, we ordered the duroc pork chop and 10 oz filet. For sides, we ordered Bayside Blue Mac and Potato Hash. Overall, everything was VERY rich and decadent, heavy. The pork chop was tough, the filet was very thick and tough, the sides were salty, saucy, and heavy. Overall, the resort is nice and the view inside the restaurant is pretty but the food was too heavy and rich for my liking.

One kinda neat thing they offer is a "make your own cocktail sauce" station at your table. I was thrilled to see a COLD water lobster roll. It had just the right amount of kick to it. My husband ordered a half dozen oysters but promptly sent them back without even tasting them as they were tiny. He likes them big and briny smh. I ordered the, "the best shrimp in the civilized world." I don't know about that but they were pretty good. They were cooked perfectly. The shrimp was tender, not overcooked or rubbery, and the batter was crunchy without the inside being mushy or overcooked as fried shrimp can sometimes be. Could've used a tad more salt if seasoning but I'm guessing they want the freshness of the shrimp to be more forward than anything else. The baked potato was super hot and oiled perfectly; no hard pieces to get through. The cole slaw was good. The hush puppies were too; contain corn. My husband ordered the grilled seafood platter w/ swai fish, crab cakes (he wasn't impressed), shrimp skewer, & peel & eat shrimp, w/ green beans, cole slaw, & hush puppies. His gumbo came with his meal. He rated his meal a C & I gave mine a B-. The shrimp was good. I was slightly annoyed with having to make my own cocktail sauce but liked my concoction. It was a new experience. Our server was attentive w/o being overbearing & provided very good service while managing to attend to another table and you he closing tasks. My meal was hot and fresh. The restaurant is very casual with plenty of TVs to watch around the dining room. They have a gift shop of sorts as you enter and a nice outside area with corn hole, green turf, & cafe lights; real cute area.

One thing that stood out was the gift shop at the entrance--it could definitely use a refresh. The dark corner filled with outdated beach clothing isn't the best first impression. We visited on a Tuesday around 7:00 p.m., and there was no wait. During our meal, only about four tables were occupied, so it was very quiet. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and checked on us frequently. The only odd part of the atmosphere was that cartoons were playing on the bar TVs even though there weren't any kids in the restaurant. For dinner, my husband ordered the surf and turf, and his steak was cooked perfectly. The baked potato, however, came with an overwhelming amount of melted cheese--enough for several potatoes. I ordered the blackened grouper. It was cooked well and had good flavor, but the fillet was very thin and wasn't as memorable as other grouper dishes I've had. The whipped sweet potatoes were sweeter than expected from the brown sugar, and the Brussels sprouts were heavily coated in a sweet balsamic glaze, leaving them soft instead of crispy. I think both sides would be better with less added sweetness to let the natural flavors shine. We finished with the Bananas Foster, which was delicious and a fun presentation. It came with three small scoops of vanilla ice cream and half a banana. Since the flaming presentation takes a little time, larger scoops of ice cream would hold up better and not be half melted by the time the fire goes out. We would come back to avoid wait at other restaurants but would try different side dishes next time.

Like it's almost insane. I work in mobile so I'm already crabby for the one hour and twenty minute drive to and from there. I told my daughter I'd take her out to eat. We came here. To my surprise- not many people at all. The bartender was our server she was incredibly tentative and nice. We ordered crab dip 7/10. I would like to see it paired with chips instead of bread stick. I got the catch of the day with a loaded baked potato and side salad which that to me was a 8.5/10. I was so full and so excited for my left overs. The manager was checking on every one and offered my daughter fish food. At this point I have paid and we went to go feed the fish and when we came back everything on the table was gone. My bill was 92 which might be normal for 2 people here I'm not too sure yet. But I was so disappointed. My daughter said it was the best butter noodles she ever had and she ate up the bread.

The fact that they offer several choices of fresh catches each night; and that frequently they have unusual catches, this time it was a tile, a firm, white, mild fish. Fire Cracker Shrimp Fried Rice - 9.2 I order this every time we visit. It is my favorite dish of all the places we visit each year at the beach. It may not be the best but definitely my favorite and in the top 3 as far as best goes. The fried egg on top really puts it over the top although, I do wish it was runny and not cooked through. Gyoza - 7.0 Has a lot of filling which is good however, it isn't very seasoned or flavorful. They appeared to be fried however, not very crispy. We try gyoza at nearly any restaurant we visit that has it on the menu. Comparing this to other gyoza's, it's good but not great. Tuna Lovers Roll - 7.8 Roll was good but a little too spicy. The spice was expected obviously but still a tad too spicy. It also lacked the correct amount of sauce in my opinion. It also needed another ingredient or two to take it to the next level. Sesame Cracker w/ Honey Butter - 8.4 I rated it a little higher due to the originality. I have eaten at restaurants in half the States that make up this country and have never had toasted sesame crackers with honey butter. It is a thing in the South to have saltines, club cracker, etc. with butter at seafood and steak restaurants. However, I haven't seen this combo. It was good and not too filling.
