Spicy Tuna Roll
Alexandra S.

Perfect light lunch for the Sunday drive back home! Great price for great quality food. We loved the Tuna Poke Bowl and the Spicy Tuna Roll- both super fresh and tasty with just the right portion. I also love to shop at the small stores nearby as we waited for our dishes to arrive. An OBA staple!

Had a group of 6 with me. Sherika did a great job taking care of us. The had live music but we were seated in an open area in front of the shops so hard to hear. Ordered calamari for a starter. Seved hot and crispy. For the main portion I got the blackened grouper. It was very good but not truly blackened. They used a good blackened seasoning. Everyone enjoyed their meals and would recommend stopping by to give them a try.

My Dad and I had lunch here. The food was delicious and the service was great! Summer provided phenomenal service!

This is owned by the same folks that run Cobalt and it's location is not as fantastic or fancy but it also is usually easier to get in and out of. They have a nice size patio area along with a good indoor dining area along with a good size bar. The service here is almost always fantastic with the occasional and rare exception. The menu and ambiance seem even more casual than Cobalt while some of the food items are the same or similar they do have many unique items distinct from Cobalt like sushi. They have a nice discount on the sushi rolls at certain times of the day and this is certainly some of the best sushi in the area. I'm not a big fan of the burger here but the Firecracker Shrimp (which seem to be on the menu of all the restaurants this group owns) are usually a good appetizer in moderation as the sauce is very rich. The one really huge disappointment I've had here is the shrimp etouffee which absolutely wouldn't cut it in Louisiana! All the other food I've had here has been good to fantastic so they just need to do some additional work on that etouffee! I would be quite happy to be their taste tester and I'm also known as making a pretty amazing shrimp and crawfish etouffee myself so maybe I would even share some of my secrets to help them do a vastly better version of etouffee. Overall I'm a big fan of this place and all the other restaurants this restaurant group owns. I even have a YouTube video about this joint you can find on the NOLA Gent Channel!

Cosmo's - One of the Best Meals of Our Trip We visited Cosmo's for dinner during Spring Break with our family of four, and it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. The restaurant was busy but we didn't have to wait for a table, which was a great start. The space was clean with a fun, energetic atmosphere. Our server was fantastic--very friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to offer recommendations when we asked. She really elevated the experience. We started with the Firecracker Shrimp, which was a generous portion for all four of us and absolutely delicious. We also tried The Cosmo sushi roll, which didn't disappoint. For my entrée, our server recommended the Pecan Redfish over the fresh catch of the day, and I'm so glad I took her advice--it was hands down the best meal I had on the entire trip. The redfish was cooked perfectly, and the sides of asparagus and Parmesan risotto paired beautifully. The risotto is a bit rich, but in the best way--it definitely left me full and satisfied. The pricing felt very fair for the quality of food and overall experience. Cosmo's delivers on both flavor and value. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant and look forward to coming back the next time we're in Orange Beach.

First visit to Cosmo's today. We were not disappointed. We brought our dog, Ellie along with us and the staff was very welcoming to her. We sat on the covered porch which was surrounded by cute shops. Each one of the shops and restaurant are named for the restaurant owner's dogs. Our server was Lee and she was very prompt, friendly and made great suggestions for us. The food was great and the service was even greater! Thanks Lee for a fun and tasty lunch!

Looking for a local restaurant with great service and food? Look no more - Cosmos Restaurant provided that and more! My first visit, we were a party of two. We were there during rush so concerned we may be put in a loud area as there are several different areas for dining. We were pleasantly surprised they chose a nice quiet corner and a perfect place for dinner! I ordered crab cakes and my friend ordered the shrimp po- boy. I replaced the rice that normally comes with the crab cakes to the Parmesan risotto! Both meals were delicious! I personally, being a southerner, would have preferred the crab cakes to have a little spice to them with paprika or cayenne. But, that's just me! Well done staff, cooks and owners!

This was our first time visiting this establishment. The service was fast and friendly. The atmosphere is fun and colorful. I had the blackened chicken fried rice, which was very tasty! My wife had the salmon salad. I would recommend Cosmo's!

Pecan Redfish

Food was great. I loved my redfish. Everyone in my group had a good meal including the kids. I loved how the dishes were artsy but accessible to everyone. Our server was great she kept our glasses full the whole time and answered all of our questions. She even gave my Mom her recommendation on how to order her fish. Restaurant was pet friendly as long as the dogs stayed outside. The walls were covered in local art that was available for purchase. 10/10 will be back.

Been here a couple of times and it's always good food and service. Also has a dog friendly patio that's a nice spot in good weather.

Craft cocktails for the win!

Everything was very good; a little pricey, ie $20 buys 2 crab cakes and nothing with it, but that's probably the way it is nowadays.

Always casual, go there straight from the beach.

Hi! My husband and I will be down Labor Day weekend and are looking for a place to have a nice dinner , then stay to watch the Alabama vs Florida State game at the bar. Would this be a place to do that?

Cosmos is one of the better places to eat in the area. We spent a week there this summer and ate out every evening. Cosmos was at the top of our list. Excellent area outside to watch the game as well.

But I decided to try their fried shrimp and added the fried shrimp app (five shrimp) to the order. We were amazed. I wrote here on Yelp that this rivals an unnamed restaurant that promises, "The best fried shrimp in the entire civilized world". Well I tried it a second time a couple days later. Meh. And then a third time. Better but still not as good as the first time. So, today we hit Doc's. OK, this is without question indisputably THE BEST FRIED SHRIMP IN THE ENTIRE CIVILIZED WORLD. Perfectly battered, perfectly fried and succulently juicy and moist. This is the gold standard. The consistency over the many years we have enjoyed it is insane. How does a kitchen do this? I dunno. But they do. We order the shrimp a la carte. No sides. A dozen each, except today I had six and a fried soft shell crab a la carte that was spectacular. We love this joint.

It's the food folks go there for. The oysters were fresh and served in a simple appealing way. The fish was white and firm and delicious. The grilled shrimp they are famous for do not have a savory flavor, tastes more like they were grilled with honey on them. We were not expecting that at all. We did not like the 30 dollars worth of sweet shrimp. It does come in very generous portion if you like that type of flavor. Hush puppies were pretty darn good, light, nicely seasoned with good flavor. The Cole slaw was excellent. All portions were generous. Overall they are friendly, the service is personable and efficient! Ambiance is that of a local diner style, not fancy just comfortable. We liked everything but the sweet grilled shrimp. We are from the north and maybe it is just a southern style we aren't familiar with or used to consuming. The gumbo is pretty good too. They have great mixed drinks and they have one that is a salted caramel flavor that is really excellent. Overall: would highly recommend for a good meal and friendly service. Probably the best place we ate in the Orange Beach area.

The fact that they offer several choices of fresh catches each night; and that frequently they have unusual catches, this time it was a tile, a firm, white, mild fish. Their servers are familiar with the variety of options available, and can help you decide, if it may be your first time to try something new. Fire Cracker Shrimp Fried Rice - 9.2 I order this every time we visit. It is my favorite dish of all the places we visit each year at the beach. It may not be the best but definitely my favorite and in the top 3 as far as best goes. The fried egg on top really puts it over the top although, I do wish it was runny and not cooked through. Gyoza - 7.0 Has a lot of filling which is good however, it isn't very seasoned or flavorful. They appeared to be fried however, not very crispy. We try gyoza at nearly any restaurant we visit that has it on the menu. Comparing this to other gyoza's, it's good but not great. Tuna Lovers Roll - 7.8 Roll was good but a little too spicy. The spice was expected obviously but still a tad too spicy. It also lacked the correct amount of sauce in my opinion. It also needed another ingredient or two to take it to the next level. Sesame Cracker w/ Honey Butter - 8.4 I rated it a little higher due to the originality. I have eaten at restaurants in half the States that make up this country and have never had toasted sesame crackers with honey butter. It is a thing in the South to have saltines, club cracker, etc. with butter at seafood and steak restaurants. However, I haven't seen this combo. It was good and not too filling.

One thing that stood out was the gift shop at the entrance--it could definitely use a refresh. The dark corner filled with outdated beach clothing isn't the best first impression. We visited on a Tuesday around 7:00 p.m., and there was no wait. During our meal, only about four tables were occupied, so it was very quiet. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and checked on us frequently. The only odd part of the atmosphere was that cartoons were playing on the bar TVs even though there weren't any kids in the restaurant. For dinner, my husband ordered the surf and turf, and his steak was cooked perfectly. The baked potato, however, came with an overwhelming amount of melted cheese--enough for several potatoes. I ordered the blackened grouper. It was cooked well and had good flavor, but the fillet was very thin and wasn't as memorable as other grouper dishes I've had. The whipped sweet potatoes were sweeter than expected from the brown sugar, and the Brussels sprouts were heavily coated in a sweet balsamic glaze, leaving them soft instead of crispy. I think both sides would be better with less added sweetness to let the natural flavors shine. We finished with the Bananas Foster, which was delicious and a fun presentation. It came with three small scoops of vanilla ice cream and half a banana. Since the flaming presentation takes a little time, larger scoops of ice cream would hold up better and not be half melted by the time the fire goes out. The manager was checking on every one and offered my daughter fish food. At this point I have paid and we went to go feed the fish and when we came back everything on the table was gone.
