I am from the Midwest so when I am near any ocean I only eat seafood . But you may think ... How can a Midwestern who really only knows BBQ (KC woot woot) can rate seafood? Let me tell you .... I have only my taste buds and what I can tell you my taste buds have never been happier. It was as if Bubba Gump went out today and caught those shrimpies and hand delivers to the cook. The shrimp had a little spice to it but I cleansed it with the feta garlic potatoes. The crab cake was like the crab walked itself up my plate . My family also had the swordfish and the flounder and they were moaning so loud it got embarrassing. I washed it all down with a drink called "The Stress reliever" which after driving 14 hours with two teenagers should be a something given to you at check in. read more

During two separate stays at the Perdido Beach Resort, I enjoyed breakfast here. Each time, breakfast here was splendid. Each time, however, the service was just ok. I ordered from Ms. Glinda's Omelette Bar. She is such a sweet older lady who reminded me so much of my grandmother. I enjoy talking to her and her omelettes are delicious and made with love. The ambiance is nice, but casual. I am looking forward to my next visit here soon! read more

Tonight, I ate at Latitude 30, and I can confidently say this was one of the WORST dining experiences I've ever had. From the food to the service, it was disappointment after disappointment. I ordered the blackened snapper, and it was absolutely horrendous!!!!! Dry, flavorless, and genuinely unpleasant to eat. I asked if I could swap it out for something else and was told that I would have to pay for an entirely new entrée. At that point, I said fine, but somehow things only got worse from there. I asked for a Coke and was told they only serve Pepsi products. I specifically said, "Never mind, I'll just stick with water." A few minutes later, there's a Pepsi sitting in front of me. Strange, considering I JUST said I didn't want one. And of course, best believe that Pepsi I never asked for was still added to my bill. But the final straw was the service. While our server was clearing the table, she spilled food ON ME. Accidents happen, so that alone wouldn't have made me this upset. What made it unacceptable was the response. Instead of immediately offering me napkins, helping me clean up, or showing any real concern, she just stared at me blankly and said, "Sorry." That was it. The food was terrible, the service was somehow worse, and the entire experience felt like one problem after another. There was absolutely nothing about this visit that made me want to come back. So, if you're looking for dry, nasty food, items you specifically declined still being brought to you AND added to your bill, and a side of food spilled on your clothes with a blank stare for dessert Latitude 30 is the place for you! Easily one of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever had. I will NOT be returning. read more

I spent the weekend with my friend at this resort. I'd assume such an expensive resort would have a relatively decent restaurant, but of course that was not the case. Not only was the service terrible, the food was too. The total was outrageous for two meals and it was very disappointing to over pay and receive bland food. Our waiter was snarky and slow to take our orders even though the restaurant had no more than three parties dining. We dined here twice, hoping the breakfast would be better than the dinner we had the previous night. The first night, I ordered their buffalo wings and my friend ordered their salad with cucumbers and a thousand island dressing. It took over an hour for them to prepare this. My wings barely had any buffalo sauce and the wing itself tasted like rubber. I love wings and I've had my fair share of bad ones, but I have never had any as bad as the ones I was served. My friend's order was simple; lettuce, cucumbers, and a thousand island dressing, but despite its simplicity, the foolish waiter we had put cheese, croutons, tomatoes, and onions on it too. There aren't many restaurants at the resort so I decided for breakfast I'd give this restaurant another chance. At breakfast, we both ordered pancakes and bacon. To our "surprise" the meals were just as disappointing as they were the previous night. The pancakes were bland and dry and the bacon was burnt. Once the waiter gave us our food, we didn't see him again for well over 40 minutes. Again, the bill was ridiculously expensive for the low quality breakfast we were served. I would not recommend this awful restaurant and will not be returning. read more

We discovered Latitude 30 had a late night happy hour (4-9pm) which is unheard of during "Snowbird Season" so we gave them a shot. Very happy we did. They have really good drink specials until 9pm, which for someone staying in Orange Beach, who isn't 70 and actually stays up later than sunset is an awesome thing. No offense Snowbirds but some of us stay up a bit later and Well, not only are the drink specials awesome, so is the food! They have a different special for food every weekday. We got the the Prime Time Dippers - basically cheesesteak egg rolls with horseradish and au jus dipping sauces. They are incredible! As for the bar crew, Annette, Brooke and Melissa were awesome. They were super warm and welcoming. I was picking on Brooke (in a nice way) and she gave it right back with a smile on her face. Really made this old guy feel welcome. So much so, we've been back 4 times since and my wife took her "girls night out" crowd here for drinks Oh, and Annette's husband plays piano in the lobby and is AMAZING. So, you have live music, drink specials til 9pm, excellent food and amazing bar staff. What more could you want. Thanks Annette, Brooke and Melissa, y'all ROCK! read more

Paying $325 per night to stay at the hotel does give me pause after experiencing the food, service, and management of the Latitude restaurant. This is a casual dining room and that appears to be the overall attitude, casual about everything. Service One waiter for over 10+ tables with one busboy. Knowledge of waiter limited while he appeared to apologize for everything. After the 4th apology that was enough. Recommended the stuffed flounder as their best dish - he must never have eaten it. I asked for our check and it took 15 minutes and I had to go to the bar to ask for it where he asked, 'are you in a hurry?' And I said yes after 90 minutes I'm done with waiting just for the check. Food On a Friday during spring break they thought it was OK for: Thousand Island dressing - none although offered Baked potatoes - none although offered The salad was about 1/2 cup of lettuce with one cherry tomato halved and one thin slice of cucumber We waited 40 minutes for: Over cooked fried shrimp Boiled red potatoes that were luke warm Stuffed flounder that was over cooked and no flavor Steamed vegetables requested left off the dish Had to request both lemons and cocktail sauce for the shrimp - who serves shrimp without theses? Management I asked to speak with the manager who delivered our food. I discussed the 40 minute wait for our dishes and her answer was, 'I'm sorry but we are doing the best we can'. No offer to remedy and left to speak with the waiter whose attitude became gruff and he avoided our table while delivering the nightly special to tables around us. Avoid eating here while the hotel is nice enough but the restaurant is a mess as is its management. We tried this restaurant since we invited couples to brunch on Saturday. However, after this dinner we changed the venue to off the hotel property. read more

Staying at the Perdido Beach resort, we finally decided to try the breakfast at Latitude 30. The breakfast buffet for 2 and coffee came out at $30.70 which I thought was a bit steep for what was offered. The food was bland and unseasoned, and most sadly - all of it was luke warm. That was too bad. Even if your food isn't seasoned well, you can at least keep it hot. The service wasn't great either, especially considering it was a buffet. How hard is that. At one point the employees gathered behind the bar and whatever they were talking about must have been hilarious because they were the loudest thing around and were downright obnoxious. Oh well - won't make the mistake of going back anytime soon. read more

The food was rich. I had a nice dinner with the wife. I ordered a crab BLT and I was amazed. I expected a crab cake with the BLT but I got an entire day fried soft shell grab. Legs and everything. If you're around the area, stop by. Just with the food I got alone, what ever you choose you won't be disappointed. read more

This restaurant replaced the previous Cafe Palm at the Perdido Beach Resort. Breakfast today was my first meal here since the change. I find that I really like the new look and layout. With all new tables and chairs the space is really comfortable and inviting. The breakfast is still a buffet. When we arrived the omelet station had about 6 people in line. While the line didn't become shorter, the chef was moving the line at a good pace. Fast fresh omelettes. Over all, decent food at a reasonable price. About $25 for two people with drinks. read more

We only ate here for dinner one night while staying in the hotel. Three stars is for the waitress. She was very friendly. The food was like cafeteria food, but the wait wasn't long. We tried doing the breakfast buffet there the next morning but the line was out the door so we said forget it and waited until 11am to order a pizza from the place downstairs since we didn't want to leave the resort. :) read more

Stayed at the resort with my husband and decided to try out this on site restaurant. We mainly chose this due to their advertised crab special of $25. We arrived and stood at the front for quite some time, waiting for some kind of greeting. After a wait, we were sat out on the patio that overlooks the pool area. We ordered 2 waters and a couple cocktails. Drinks came (Dirty Martini was delicious) and we ordered some queso. For our entrees, I ordered the crab special and my husband ordered the "Trifecta Basket" which is oysters, fish and shrimp with the choice of fried, grilled or blackened. Short time later, a gust of wind came blowing a drinking glass off the table and shattering it. The (who I assume) Manager came out and cleaned it up saying "We aren't supposed to have glass out here." We glanced around and the two tables to the right of us all had glass drink ware and the entire party of about 10 to the left of us did as well. We dismissed it, but then thinking we hope the glass didn't go below into the pool or pool area. Next, our meals arrived. My crab special was quite the disappointment. One cluster. I can get more bang for my buck back home in Texas. (Fortunately, the next night less than a mile down the street we divulged in enough crab for a family of 4 for $40!) My husband's Trifecta Basket came out all wrong. Things that were supposed to be blackened were fried and vice versa. So we sent it back and waited for it to be corrected. Getting the check was quite a lengthy process as well. It may have just been an off night. All the tables around us were complaining- so we know it was not just us. All in all- there are far too many other choices in the area to settle for mediocre food and service. read more

Service was bad, my fiancé was served the wrong food, once her actually dish arrived her hush puppies were burnt. I got the grilled red snapper, it was burnt to the point of tasting nothing but chard food. I have never had to cut fish with a knife, this restaurant gave me that experience however. Breakfast buffet in the morning is a great way to start your day! Glinda, the Omelette Queen has been there many years serving quality omelettes made to order. She works three at a time and while I watched never botched or mixed up an order. Kate was our server both times we ate there, and the 2nd time she remembered everyone's drink preferences. Amazing! Good selection with eggs, grits, potato cubes, bacon, sausage, waffles, pancakes, as well as fresh fruit, yogurt, and breads. read more

Miss Joanna the hostess there is very rude. She never said hello and never said goodbye. When I arrived no one was in the front as she came out from the back and in the most unfriendliest way she said can I help you? with a tone of contempt. There are no signs or nothing to indicate their prices or whether or not this is a breakfast area that is included in the hotel package or not. Once I alerted the hotel of this and her behavior I had to drive back and was told %50 or a full refund would be the easiest but instead they insulted me with taking only $2.99 off the $16 bill which is more than I spent in gas to drive back there for the refund. So I filed a complaint with regard to all of these issues with both the front desk and hotels.com because not only was I treated rudely but I was charged a whopping $16 for just a few bites with limited time to get to the meeting I had flown out of town for. All of this and the time I wasted on getting this issue corrected and getting the hotel along with hotels.com involved could've been avoided with a polite good morning and a menu from Miss Joanna. read more

We stayed at the Resort where Latitude is. We came in for dinner on Monday night when they had all you can eat pasta. We were seated and then NO one came to greet us. We waited for 15 minutes and then the busser got us waters and then finally it seemed like the manager came over and got our meal order... Literally just wanted the pasta. The chef was awesome for the pasta. The sauce didn't need any help at all, and he didn't add any garlic or spices like I expected... Still so good. When the manager asked us what dressing we'd like on our salad she automatically assumed ranch and really didn't go into any other types. We felt like such a bother already that we just went with it. The waitress was right behind her and leaning against the tables as if she didn't want to be there... When we got back from the pasta bar (5-10 minutes later) we still didn't have the salads or the garlic bread. The waitress shuffled over as if we were a pain in her side and then threw( yes, threw) the food on the table and muttered something about closing at 9:00. It was still before 8:30. I know how hard it is as a waitress to want to get out and get going, but damn... Dude, you're stuck there for another half hour anyways. Get over it. She eased up a bit, but never asked us how we were doing until almost being done and made a rude comment about how I barely made a dent in my pasta. I have a problem with eating when uncomfortable, so this made me want to eat less. I got the salads and took them to-go, but even as much as I wanted an easy lunch or dinner at the hotel, we refuse to go back and have such horrible experiences again. read more
